So you're talkin' real close quarters blade work there. That would be a clever way to channel the chakra.
I like the basic idea, at the very least.

Basically. I have an idea but I worry I may not be clever enough to find all conceivable and usable routes for this idea.
I can put this idea on the back burner for later and instead work on a fan style. Or maybe chakrams or wind and fire wheels.

I can see you're worries. How I'm lookin' at it, just chalk down your ideas for the moment, and keep them logged somewhere. Look it over, and see if you can't find more later, ya know?
I think people would truly enjoy chakram.

I thought so. Right now I only have like one or two ideas for attacks. I don't know how many I would need for each stage.
Yes but the problem is what kind of chakram are they expecting?
Are they expecting ridiculous chakrams like what Axel from Kingdom Hearts has seen to be wielding or are they expecting the basic, real chakram as seen in India and that Xena Warrior princess has used?

I personally think three to four is a good set up on stages. Any less and it's just kind of like... "I spent a slot on this stuff?"
Here in the Naruverse, it can be both. xD It's how you choose to work the basics in, the training to assist the user in becoming less of a klutz and how the complex techniques will roll.

Right.
I already have basic ideas for Chakrams, I've seen them in action a bit and such.
Really a simple circle chakram, small and light enough, can be spun with one finger and with a controlled, trained flick of the wrist, a trained user can send the razor sharp chakram in the direction of their choosing.
Multiple chakra are of different sizes, for added offense and defense, they can be places along the arms where they can also be held for further use by letting them slide one by one down the arm to the hand.
More complex chakrams such as wind and fire or what Azel uses, they can catch weapons and even with a good centrifuge deflect things.
Hmmm... I think I could really work with this...

So, you'll actually be making training tiers, so that one doesn't make a ridiculously complex chakram from the get go?

Indeed. Do you know how razor sharp a chakram is? It can cut through a person's neck when sent flying. No way rookies could handle a more complex chakram like Axel has.
I imagine the first stage the person will go over basics with a basic, small and round chakra.
Stage two they'll learn to work with two.
Stage 3 four, stage 4 six, stage 5 their first large, complex chakram and stage 6 working with two complex chakram.
Of course this is just the way it would go off the top of my head. It is subject to change.

I'm afraid my knowledge of most equipment is settled in the West, 'Ruhi. xD
Well, whenever you've got it figured out, I'm sure people would be interested in seeing it.

You should look to the East Mana, there are many interesting weapons there.
Alright, well there's the one style.
Next I'm thinking of working on chains. While trying not to draw so much from Saint Seiya's Shun for attack ideas. XD

Yeah, I realize this. However, once I'm more free, I'll be bringing in styles from "over the seas", I should hope, for people to see. I'm bringing the West to the East. xD

*snorts* The West is just the East, only on a different continent. XD
Chains and then a bo staff mixed with stick fighting, should be interesting. Maybe a sort of pitch fork combo too.

In the Naruverse, this is very untrue, thus "over the seas". xD
So you're talking quarter staffs.

Well yeah. XD
Well yes, I do believe the bo staff from the east is basically the quarter staff from the west, only made of a more flexible wood.
There would also be the option of stick fighting, where they could take the staff and turn it into two sticks.
You should check out escrima stick fighting. It's really good.
