He wasn't really in the mood to oppose his friend when she was angry, so it helped that he agreed with her across the board. It couldn't be said that either of them were normal, but they at least managed to avoid pulling weapons on their superiors outside of spars. Baseline instability was a problem that a pair of genin would have a tall task managing. How exactly were they supposed to be able to deal with that anyways? Maybe there was some genjutsu to suppress that, but nothing the Mugen would have access to at his skill level. There was another issue to consider as well. "I mean, I don't know what I'd have to teach Unki about leading anyways, and like, that seems to be the thing you care the most about. I still have a list of genjutsu longer than my arm I want to learn. Gotta train my eyes too. And then more bukijutsu. Like, I'm gonna have a hell of a time just catching up to Zuki even without someone else to worry about. Plus, I've spent the last few years riding the boss lady's coattails so it's not like I'm experienced." He supposed at the end of the day Shiro could compel them to do it, but was Unki after the input of a couple green shinobi going to be worth avoiding deploying the two of them or letting them keep training?

When Tosa made himself known and spoke his words of reassurance it relived the young man a bit, but when Tosa informed him that he had overturned his sentence he frowned."Kindness can be a weakness if not tempered. While I am glad that your ok, and yes your antics can bother me from time to time. I want you to understand something. Do not ever overrule me again. If you disagree with a sentence I give, then speak to me about it first. What kind of example does that set? When my leaders overturn me at their wills?" Facing Kaneo and Mizuki he listened to their words and council with a nod. So she wished to prove herself, fair enough. He did have a couple of missions that could be done. Rolling his neck from side to side he nodded a couple of times on each side,"Alright, its not very glorious but its critical. Kaneo, Mizuki. You two are to accompany and assist a convoy transporting our arms and equipment from the blue dragon adn down at the docks to the new secure facility that was recently built. Kaneo, you will lead this first part. Mizuki, the second." Facing tosa he continued,"You, will go after them and inventory the entire thing. Every spear, kunai, sword, armor, explosive tag, and senbon. Every, single, item." Facing the duo he nodded once more,"If there is no questions your dismissed."
Shifting his attention to Shion and Unki he continued to brief them,"The village is in a good spot economically but were still lacking in a few areas to be entirely self sufficient. Primary example of this being that we do not have any real income outside of what trade contracts we have and the missions we perform for the Daimyo. You two, will meet up with a team of miners at the gates. Escort them into the mountains. They will survey and find a place to setup a mining complex. Like I said your job is escort and assistance. Keep the wildlife off of em. We dont need these guys becoming lunch for a predator."

Hand them over to Tosa so that he can inventory it, then head to the docks with the convoy to move all of the weapons from the warehouses there into the village as well.
Mission Title: Miner Miner Sixty Niner Mission Rank: C Type: Solo. IC Info: So we are pretty far into the mountains yet for some bloody reason we do not have any mining shafts, complexes, or anything of the like. So I need a shinobi who knows a thing or two about such matters to lead a team of surveyors into the mountains to mark sites for mines in the future. OOC Info: Takes 2 posts to get there, Four (4) to mark all the sites, and Two (2) to get back. Let me know oocly when you take this mission so I can make a special thread for you to do it in.
"Now that's just mean." Unki tilted her head to the side and placed her knuckles on-top her hips. She withheld making a defiant stomp or puffing out her cheeks. The green genin seemed like one who would list out Unki’s childish quirks in some formal quip designed to strip her rank, if such a thing existed.
"I'm not psychotic. I probably wouldn't have been allowed to leave my house if that were the case! Now.. I.." Unki cast her sights to the floor and lessened her somewhat defiant pose. The glint of the sword’s blade caught her eye and she used the act of kneeling to pick it up, by the blade, to buy her a moment. The acutal answer, lingering on her thoughts, was plainly too difficult to word properly. Her answer, really, was oddly enough too confusing to come to and she found it far from ideal to try to sort things out in a second. Her posture was straightened up again as she rose from picking up her blade. She held the knife between two fingers before placing it in her opposite palm. Her expression plainly displays some level of uncertainty with her little brows furrowed. Unki wanted to look at Shiro, and she even tried to, but couldn’t bare to bring her eyes to scale past his shoulders.
"I.. I-can't explain that thing I did to S-shiro-chan just this minute... I don't think I can." Unki took a breath and looked to the floor. Then, as if her spirits caught fire, Unki pulled her sights to stare square at the green genin who so strongly doubted her. Her brows still furrowed, her perplexed expression gone, and she held her head high in defense of the truth of her nature. "There's nothing wrong with me aside from getting terribly angry from time to time and spouting steam. That's simply just me being me!" As she spoke, she slid her knife back into the sheath over head. "But... I can explain this! You can't measure a girl's leadership on her first excursion after being stung by a couple of stinkin’ sea urchins- no offense on the simile, Shion- and being left to suffer with barely any alternative to turn to. It takes more than a single dive to find the nooks around a reef... and it takes experience to learn from one’s mistakes. If you want to count me out like a sundried sea turtle, fine. Just know you're hanging me out on one mistake that i've learned fromand I'll prove to Shiro -not you- that I can be better leader through whatever means he needs of me."
After hearing Shiro’s briefing about not becoming lunch and trade contracts, Unki was served a helping of suppressed embarrassment as she remembered his instruction about not being allowed to... lead... At least, Unki still looked chipper about it. Pumped, if you will, about how she felt as if she made a stand against Mizuki.

Shion was first introduced to Mizuki during the aftermath of the mission on Endaishima; specifically during the aftermath in her way to the kage's office. Originally, Shion caught some good vibes from the woman. She seemed nice amd willing ti help those under pressure; i mean she did try to ease Shion's worries about reporting her own insubordination, even if it was with a joke in poor taste at the time. The way she was carrying herself now was like a completely different person than the one she had bumped into in the lobby. Had she been to quick to judge someone new? Shion cocked an inquisitive eyebrow as Mizuki acted all high and mighty, lording over Unki like she hadn't already been through enough; they had all gotten their just desserts, so why was she being so rude to the girl. What made Mizuki worthy of another shot and Unki not? What made it worse was her dragging her little crony into it all. Shion tightened her fists, clenching tighter and tighter more more Mizuki ran her mouth. Stars above, nothing would make Shion happier to just deck this loud-mouthed, stuck-up.... Shion quickly let out a soft breath, calming any urges she might be compelled to act upon. This soothing breath, however, quickly turned into a condescending scoff as Mizuki referred to Unki as psychotic. "Psychotic like thinking you can handle a mission on your own?" She'd mumble, glancing over at Unki for a brief moment while Shiro briefed Mizuki and Kaneo on their mission.
Shion's attention was then turned to Shiro as he began to address her. Ah, great... another escort mission. It sounded simple enough; protect the clients from any danger as they move from point A to point B. Then again, that's exactly the mission that started the fiasco everyone had just finished dealing with. She'd be lying to say that a little part of her wasn't panicking over another UHV ambush. Sure, she held her own against them last time but from the sounds of it, Xion wasn't on this mission, and she was the only reason Shion was able to win in the end. Maybe a little extra training before the mission was in order. Shion gave Shiro a nod and began to make her way to the exit, passing by Unki on her way out. It wasn't exactly a secret that Mizuki was bothering her; not exactly the headspace she'd need to be in if she was going to have another shot at leading. In an attempt to lighten her mood, Shion gave Unki a friendly punch on the shoulder and smiled. "Hey, you're gonna do great this time. You've got it... anyway, better to be psychotic than overconfident, at least them you can claim insanity if it all goes bottoms up again," her quipped, glancing to Mizuki out of the corner of her eye for the briefest of moments. "Anyway, I'll meet you at the gates in a little bit. I've got something I need to take care of real fast..." Her words briefly trailed off as she looked back to Shiro. "Unless you still need me, that is..."

Raising a sleeve he waved it back and forth in a pendulum like manner as always. "Well bloop. You heard the Raikage. I'm not yet in optimal condition but I can write. I'll get started on the first inventory count. Once you've accomplished your goal I'll rendezvous with you again to make sure everything is in order." Toso would then begin a simple stroll until he was behind Mizuki. Then a light bulb. "AH! So it was you!" He'd pause briefly only to place a hand on his chin and to then have multiple takes at different angles of well, Mizuki's butt. Of course it was lacking any and all context. That guy really went overboard for a friendly competition.
"By all means, prove yourself to him, but personally my discomfort with all this is about more than just the mission. The man said, slightly more heated, and notably exasperated by the need for this exchange in the first place as he gestured in Shiro's direction. At the end of the day, the fact that Unki didn't seem to think the trust of her potential subordinates was important was as much a part of the problem as, if not much more serious than, anything else. That much has been pretty clearly stated. No one is counting you out, but, honestly, why should we feel comfortable about following you right now? Why do you feel like you're above having to earn our trust back? Like it or not, you gotta work with us on that front instead of straight telling us to our face that you're not even going to try. Leaders are supposed to care about the people they lead, but from where I stand all you seem to care about is Shiro." He wasn't really sure what she expected to get out of this. In reality, Shiro had made the problem worse, and this was less about Unki than his choice of assignments for them. At the same time, Kaneo had no idea why the Chunin thought it was a good idea to specifically state she didn't care about earning their trust back. The Raikage had work to do if he was going to get everything sorted before their supposed offensive against the UHV. The man's golden eyes turned to his friend as his body started towards the exit. "I'll go ahead since I'm in charge of the first part. Make sure all our ducks are in a row and all that jazz."

Kaneo had a pretty good tongue even if he often left the real talking up to Mizuki. It was nice to see him express things himself from time to time though. She nodded to him as her own affirmation of her agreement with what had been said. Not having faith in the woman's ability to lead was the biggest thorn so far as Zuki was concerned. Her personality and other eccentricities could be dealt with so long as Mizuki didn't have to watch her own a** because she couldn't trust her leader to protect her. There was little that Mizuki felt she needed to add on obviously. Looking to Shiro she did however say, "Got it daddy. Oh and whether or not it's glamorous doesn't matter to me. Till you truly ******** up feel free to use me however you like~" By that she of course meant that she would continue to abide by any orders and carry out any mission assigned to her.
However before more could be said, she found the bloop-nin to be perving around behind her backside. Though Mizuki heard what the man said, it made little sense to her beyond what at this point would be wild guesses as to his meaning. Though with Kaneo eager to get started and the others all dispersing she found it easy enough to simply ignore it for the time being. With nothing more to add she gave a shallow bow to Shiro and took off after Kaneo. [exit]

Unki turned looked away and urned her head upward. Her hair puffs promptly sway along with her silent show of defiance. Unki wouldn't have it. She didn't turn up to the academy to be lectured. Again!
She already had her ear chewed off twice on this matter with one scolding served by the seasoned hand of a family member not too long ago! The same details were, once more, subject to repeated hammerings (the psychotic comment was the newest slice of information, however).
Unki didn't have a word for either of them. The chunin knew where she stood in the matter and already knew what she had to do. As the pair departed, Unki heaved a single huff of yellow steam through her nostrills as the last shred of proof to her discontent. Her expression was indifferent. None of this was ideal. She did not hear the mumblings of Shion. Unki was mostly trying to absorb herself into the going-ons of her thoughts. Her eventual reply wasn't as bubbly as she had preferred but enough to show she wasn't going to show any defeat or discontent.
"Alright, I've got somethings to cover first too. Surely, we're not needed right this moment? Shiro-chan?" Unki's inquiry, accompanied by a wince, disclosed her purpose as she raised her hand and pointed off to some direction, the dojo was her intended target. "Won't be long. Promise.
In the untangling mess of ninja, Unki managed to slip away to the dojo to train. Her escape wouldn't go unnoticed. In the dojo, Unki would find a straw training dummy to call her own for the time being...
Formless Small Weapon Training
Unki reaches over her shoulder, grabs her short sword, and pulls it free from its sheath to ready for a much-needed segment of training. She was ready to work to fill in the gaps present in her shinobi skill set.She was ready to begin a very one-sided match with a beaten target dummy for the sake of improving. First strike. A vertical slash down its torso with a second vertical slash up to follow. [1 of 3]
She hops back a tad from the dummy and pulls her sword near her side. The girl takes a step forward and performs a diagonal slash along the inanimate figures shoulder to its waist. The follow up attack: Unki turns her arm, gripping the sword, and performs a horizontal cut. However, her last motion was awkward and she thought it better to revise with a potential alternative swing. [2 of 3]
Returning a step away from the target dummy, Unki returns her sword to her sheath. She thought about the cool, sudden drawing of swords skilled samurai would make in epic fight-scenes in the occasional novel she used to read. She would have to be careful to not draw her sword too quickly that she it drops it, cuts herself by mistake, or flings her blade out of hand. She takes a stance with her head and shoulders arched forward some.[3 of 3] - D Rank Formless
Her hand hovers near the sword pommel. Unki counts off in her head: One. Two! A sudden grasp onto the handle, Unki pulls and swings over shoulder in attempts to make a firm vertical slash. But, her grip was weaker than she thought and the small sword was essentially thrown downward onto the floor. A light squeak escapes her as she scrambles back a few steps but recovers soon enough to grab her sword and try again. [1 of 4]
Again. Unki returns her sword to its sheath, lowers her head slightly, and holds at the ready. One. Two! The ambitious kunoichi thrusts forward, with the blade’s handle in a grip, and swings manages a second vertical slash. She lands a hit against the inanimate dummy with a faint streaking cut on its surface to prove it. [2 of 4]
Practice continues promptly as the girl reclaims solid footing. In place of trying an additional vertical slash, Unki goes for a jab. A jab on the outside of its waist, once on both sides and then repeats jabbing for three successions. Jab, jab, horizontal slash, and topping off the pattern with a plan to perform a final, reversed stab into the dummy’s torso. A brisk turn of the sword in hand wasn’t foiled by misplacing her fingers. [3 of 4]
A smooth turn of sword in hand and firm grip, Unki would raise her hand near up to her shoulder, and swing down into the space where a real person’s liver could be. The dummy’s bound, straw-based form allows a clean entry for the metal blade. She pulls out her blade and performs another succession of quick swings. As she finished up the basic work, Unki tried to spin the handle in her hand once before sheathing the blade. A flop of a mistake but practice makes perfect.[4 of 4] - C Rank Formless ; Small Weapon
{Formless B Rank - 6 posts} Again! The blade was unsheathed once more from its “reset” position and assumed in front of her. Unki repeats her attempt to spin her blade in hand but fumbles slightly. She was able to recover better than before and follow through with a downward slash from the dummy’s straw “chin” to “abdomen”. It was another one sided battle. {1- 6}
Unki hopped back on a step and tested the reach of her arm. She thought it awkward to fight with her arm fully extended as the thought was one would have little room for maneuverability. With her arm stretching to its limits, Unki waved her arm about and flexed her wrist as she swung. Swinging her sword like this was weird and she wondered how effective it could be in real combat. {2-6}
The thought to cross her stated that usefulness of fighting at full reach was highly unlikely to be effective unless the matter was dire. Dire. But, at that mysterious level of “dire” Unki thought it would be worthwhile to spray stream in someone’s face at that point. At last, Unki would bend her arm and return to a preferred means of swinging her sword. {3-6}
An execution of upward vertical slashes, diagonal upward swings, and a final delivery of downward swings with a jab into the dummy’s “liver”. That pattern of swordplay was repeated at least three times before switching the direction of her swings. Unki even added some side stepping into the equation to shake things up a bit. She gradually make a circle around the dummy. {4-6}
To shake things up even further, Unki added over headed leaps to scale over the dummy. The concept of acrobatics and swordplay put a thrilling thought in her head. A spin on her foot with a horizontal slice was really making the matter more interesting. She thought if this was the proper way to go about her practice but in the end, it didn’t seem to matter. {5-6}
The more practice the better, she thought, no matter how energetic her moves became. The important part was that she would have to stay alert when making her movements. At anytime, given the likelihood that training dummy pal could spring to life, her opponent could throw some backhanded move and throw her game off to a whole new style of playing. She would have to make adjustments… Unki felt as if she was all warmed up for now and didn’t want to waste too much more of her time on generic sword play. {6-6}

Alright, time for another Unki clone. The technique first on her list to resume her dagger training would call for armed enemy. The Unki clone drew her sword as the true Unki did the same. Timing was key onto perfecting- better- to learn this maneuver. A wordless agreement led to a variety of sword strikes between the true and clone Unkis. Shing! Clang! The extensive swordplay carried on for at least six swings, six meetings between the pair of fighters. Until, real Unki was able to parry an attack as the text described. Clone Unki wasn’t necessarily allowed to leave an opening long enough and had to act, however, in a way without actually harming her source. Unki released her short sword. Timing was always key. The ideal result would be a nasty blade wound back to… the head… and the thought could make Unki wince. Her shoe, should the worst angle befall her hit, could prevent some drawback to an accidental infliction. But, here, as she treated the sword like a small bean bag toy was punted upward as planned. The knife did not hit the clone’s head, thankfully. It wouldn’t have been a pretty image for even something as temporary as a clone. The blade was launched back to aim into the clone’s shoulder. The clone disappeared as she anticipated. The next item in the text was something wildly simple by design however coordination and direction is key. The act of redirecting sunlight off of her blade into an opponent’s eyes sounded simple. Factors to make this movement a success had to be appropriate too in order to truly be “so simple” [1 of 3]

The light on the hardwood floor was an ample amount to work with and all she had to do was work her blade to match the angle required. The blade of her short sword was a pleasant shiny material that would shine well in this situation. As she held out her sword in the casted light Unki had to identify any unusual spots. She wobbled the blade side to side until her sights could identify the bright speck she was able to manipulate. Enough “blinding” an inanimate object. The next technique mostly seemed to call for a sense of focus in whatever hand wasn’t busy with holding the sword. Unki shook off the chakra tips and each had vanished the more she withdrew focus. Her free hand reached into a pocket on her person to withdraw a singular kunai. Shion rolled her eyes at Kaneo's retort. He wasn't wrong in saying that she had nothing real to add to the topic at hand, but the comment still bugged her. Luckily, she had an actual out that would make an exit look like her going to do her job instead of leaving to get away from petty annoyances. Shion gave a quick wave to shiro and unki and ran out to the grounds to do some last minute training before it was time to take off.
Kyouzou Training

Shion gathered up the appropriate scrolls for the techniques she was to learn and spent several minutes studying over each move she was to learn. With the basics of each move in her head, Shion created a Shadow Clone and set to work, sparring against herself and learning the techniques, as is her method.
Stage 1 - E-rank
Sidestep Shion began by charging at Shiclone, delivering a swift jab to the chest. Her clone responded by leaping backwards to avoid the attack. As she did so, shiclone exerted a little chakra to create a basic clone in her stead to take the blow, making it seem like the attack had landed. [1/1]
Ghost Strike Much to Shiclone's surprise, a second fist came flying out of the smoke that the clone created as it received Shion's blow. Shiclone crossed her arms in front of her to dampen the blow, but it turned out the punch was just as real as the mirror image she had just made. While this did no physical harm to Shiclone, it certainly caught her off guard and distracted her for a brief second. [1/1]

Radial Split Using the distraction of her fake punch and the cover of the clone's dispersal smoke, Shion followed up with an extended kick to Shiclone's side, but from Shiclones point of view, it would appear 2 separate Shions were kicking in perfect unison. [1/1]
Fake Strike Rather than take her chances with guessing which blow to block, Shiclone instead leaped straight up into the air, narrowly avoiding both kicks. As Shion's attack concluded, her mirror image faded, revealing the true Shion's location. Using her downward momentum, Shiclone would stretch her leg out to deliver a falling kick. Shion avoided the kick by jumping about a foot backwards, but found her opponent faded from existence on impact. In one brief moment, Shion looked up to see Shiclone's foot inches away from her face. With no time to react properly, Shion took the blow, skidding backwards as she did. [1/1]

Multistrike Shion made no hesitation in recovering from her blow. Her backwards movement came to a halt, and she immediately pressed off with her back foot to make a charging advance towards her clone. Delayed Strike Rather than meet the dual attack with another dodge, Shiclone began to run towards the advancing Shion. However, the moment her foot hit the ground, a mirror image lurched forward, kicking upwards at Shion in hopes to stop her with another unexpected blow. Multiple Arms Shion was more than prepared to receive an attack this time. She quickly changed her stance and two arms faded out of her already existing arms. These two new after-image arms caught Shiclone's after-image mid kick, allowing Shion to use her real arms to give two quick jabs into the after-image, dispersing it with ease. Stage 4 - B-rank
Rising Barage As Shion broke through the after image and approached Shiclone, she delivered a solid uppercut to the unsuspecting clone. While this single punch was more than enough to finish off the clone, Shion wanted to make sure. As Shiclone was knocked into the air, a mirror image appeared, leaping up in pursuit of Shiclone, and delivered a second upper cut. Cicada Shell Shion landed, hitting the ground with a satisfied smirk. She had done it, once again beating her clone in a spar... or so she thought. Once Shion regained her footing, she'd see Shiclone standing there, completely unharmed... but how? Well, right before the uppercut landed, Shiclone used the Sidestep technique to create a mirror image to take the uppercuts, but used it in conjunction with the newly acquired Cicada Shell to turn the mirror image into a second Shadow clone, giving it the appearance that Shion had defeated the original Shiclone. It was like... that strange halfway point between being asleep and not asleep. Where one was still uncomfortably conscience of it's senses. __ A winded Kenshin arrived at the academy and dojo and did not have to search for long until he found the raikage. Kenshin approached him and carefully placed Selina down from his shoulder on her feet beside him. It took several moments for Kenshin to catch his breath after several bouts of sprinting and speed walking all the way back to Kumogakure from Seizan with a little girl on his shoulder. Once he was finished gasping he finally spoke. "Lord Raikage,I have an urgent report for you. A squad from the KPD was dispatched with Ada Rio-Kyuri as first in command with me as second in command along with Selina Rosewater, Hachiro Hirohiko, and Tsukiko Akahina. The five of us were sent by the chief to investigate a missing person case because several citizens were reported missing from Seizan for the past few weeks." He took a few more breaths as he wiped his sweat from his brow. "When we arrived there were hundreds of corpses with kunai and senbon wounds and buildings collapsed from explosions. There was also a heavy fog which blocked the vision of my byakugan. When Rio-Kyuri cleared the fog with her iron sand I was able to see a fully armored battalion approaching the town. We retreated immediately without being noticed and I have a lot of intel." Kenshin continued to speak as he tried to recall every single detail of the battalion. "There were three groups of armored men in a column formation led by one man who did not wear a helmet and wore a commanding officer rank designation on his lapel. This man had a deep scar in the middle of his face, looked like it was from a kunai or an arrow. He also wore a red scarf with an odd flower or lotus-like symbol. There was a fully armored man behind him also with a rank designation. At the back of the formation, it looked like they had some long piped artillery." This was a highly condensed verbal version of the written report he planned to hand into the KPD. "I intend to submit a full written report to the KPD chief, but I found it urgent to come to you first." Kenshin then let out a satisfied sigh now that the adrenaline was finally wearing off and exhaustion was setting in. Now he would wait for the rest of his comrades to catch up and give their accounts.

Tsukiko rushed up behind Selina once Kenshin put her down, offering her support to keep Selina elevated. Chi embraced Tsukiko by rubbing against her legs, happy to be reunited. Tsukiko had been just behind the trio the whole trip but luckily they were together again. Being without her partner for such a short time and short distance still left her aching.
She looked up the Raikage. She had no information that would trump Kenshin's resolute byakugan. He would have more precise details than she would, especially since she blacked out herself near the end with the army.
"They fought like cowards," she added with a voice that shook from stress and emotion moreso than exhaustion. "They didn't give the Seizans any chance to defend themselves. The exit wounds - they, they - They were monsters, Sir! If there was any, absolutely any question previously, let it be known now that they are positively the scum of this world. There was no reason to attack Seizan - there was no political power to be won, and the village didn't look ransacked so much as utterly destroyed; they either took over for the location as a base or just because they wanted too. Neither are pretty options but I swear the latter is the truth. They're monsters."

Closing the Encyclopedia Toso looked down at the arsenal of scrolls he had in front of him. He'd then proceed to look at the fiber of his clothing. "I've already succeeded in the initial test, lets see exactly how far I can take it. bloop" Toso with an open palm extended his arm forward. A glow would begin to shine beneath his sleeve and like that of a vacuum it began sucking in the scrolls...1,2,3,4...but the fifth..refused. "I see bloop, so there's a limit. Well, I suppose it makes sense the complexity of scrolls isn't to be underestimated." Toso would then expel the scrolls. He was now at five once more. It was as if he were trying to solve a puzzle.
Toso would then lay his total arsenal bare. It was time to determine how exactly he was going to distribute them. For the most part he'd emulate his original coats set up. Then from there see just how much it would take in. Suffice to say the code was eventually found, at the cost of having to place the other two scrolls on his waist. In doing so something would fall to the ground.
The old Hojo guidebook he'd given Ara, what had happened to her he wondered. Nathaniel to, he'd gone and become a full time medic, Miko? Where was the dark skinned sensor now? Liori...Wan...Kaileer..Axel...Hakanai. It always felt that as soon as he was getting close to someone they'd leave, whisked away on a string of missions or to the unknown. Would that be the fate of Shio-nee, Unk-nee, and Shiro-nii. He couldn't help but feel left behind to some degree. With a sigh he'd open the pages to get his mind off the melancholy.

So that's how it was done. There was six pages dedicated to the Hojo ability of regenerating limbs. Only those with optimal strength in both mind and body were able to accomplish the feat. Great amounts of pain would follow. It was emphasized only Hojo who have achieved at least four tentacles should even make an attempt. In light of things Toso closed his eyes. With minimal effort and hardly any pain a tentacle would be birthed. "Ah...if counting the three I've lost bloop...this would place me at four I wonder..." Toso would make an attempt to recall the others as he did with his newborn fleshy tendril...to no avail. He frowned. "It appears I have no choice..."
Toso would take a deep inhale bring his hands together and begin forming the hand signs. The feeling...the feeling was like something squirming inside. As though he had a parasite struggling to burst out in freedom of a flesh prison. He would begin breaking into a cold sweat...his focus harder to collect as it wriggled and each wriggle feeling like a knife driving into his back. Is this what child birth felt like? His breathing labored he felt on the cusp of passing out...but he would not scream. Compared what he went through then, this was like a bee sting.

Selina's eyes were still blank when Kenshin released her from his shoulder, and Tsukiko assisted in getting her upright. There was no light there like usual. The events at that place shattered her resolve. The incident was just as her teammates reported. She knew that she couldn't articulate the sorrows she saw. Even still, her head passively looked over to the tall woman and then to Kenshin as they conveyed their emotions. Their resolves were hitting her, as her empathic powers gave her a bit of strength to rely on. It was from this strength where she found herself able to stand on her own. She still wasn't alright, but at least she wasn't dead, thanks to her teammates.
