Henrietta nodded. "S-sure, I just need to grab my Pokemon. They're training in the desert near some friends."

Tess
Friends? She had to pretend that she was indifferent to the notion, but Tess found it cute that little Hummy thought she had friends.
"Well, climb on," Tess said, getting onto Flygon's back as before. Once Henrietta was up, she'd fly them over to the northern desert. She'd have them circle until Henrietta spotted her pokémon, then land to give Henrietta the chance to collect them.
---
Wayne
The rock was at least ten times larger than Hitmonlee. Maybe even more. When Duosion unearthed it with Telekinesis, the desert sand swamped back in to fill the hole.
"3, 2, 1, GO!" Wayne commanded and the psychic launched the rock at the fight type. It was fast, but not quite as fast as Wayne expected. If he had to be super-critical, he'd have focused on the way the rock seemed to waver in the air as it was launched. Like Duosion wasn't completely sure.
Hitmonlee dealt with it easily. He ignited Blaze Kick and sent it crashing into the rock. Normally Wayne expected his pokémon would have to take their time to learn the best range for their attacks, but so far Hitmonlee had been hitting Blaze Kick perfectly.
Was it something to do with Aura? Ever since yesterday, it seemed like that little word had its hand in everything. After seeing the way Sal's pokémon were training, Wayne decided to reign in Hitmonlee's fighting style. He'd be concentrating more on efficiency of movement than overwhelming the opponent with flashy attacks. Not to say that moving like Iron Man wasn't flashy, but it seemed like a really good idea.
So for now, Hitmonlee wasn't springing his legs at all. Instead he'd try to shift the power contained in the legs and expel it at the point of contact. If it worked, his kicks would improve their power immensely.
And the rock crashed into bits and landed either side of Hitmonlee. The sandstorm was causing him trouble, but Duosion seemed fine. Wayne had checked his pokédex already and noted Duosion's abilities; only direct attacks could hurt him, and it was awesome.
The broken rock shards were picked up again. Telekinesis sending them speeding back and forth like bullets made from huge blades. Hitmonlee ran towards Duosion while practising his Double Team to misdirect the training partner. His natural agility let him avoid the rocks heading his way, ducking and weaving and leaping through the gaps.
Just as the fight type was about the close the distance, Duosion dragged a rock up from the earth; a great big rock that acted as a wall. Sand poured off, whipping away as the sandstorm winds belted into it. Hitmonlee sorted his stance, not slowing down as he twisted into another Blaze Kick, punching a hole clear through Duosion's barricade.
"Awesome!" Wayne cheered as the rock crashed down, crumbling and toppling. It finally struck the sand, kicking up a thick cloud. Hitmonlee didn't flinch. He just glared at Duosion through the rubble and dust. Wayne smiled; it was time to use psychic power.

The winds of the sandstorm whirled strongly as Frate took charge. Once Henrietta landed he stopped. They all did. How long had she been gone? Who knew, including the walk it could've been an hour or something.
"We're heading to Nimbasa," she told them and return them to their balls. Returning to Flygon's back, Henrietta held on tightly. Mostly because she wasn't used to flying on a Pokemon's back, it was clearly the scariest thing ever.
But Tess probably knew that from the shaking or screaming every time she went too fast.

(elapsing alittle time, skipping unnecisary details razz )
the audience starts to quiet. the stage lights swing across, giving them a quick look at the pokemon. soon the lights focus on the first pokemon, a ratata wearing a hat and bow tie. next an emolga, a pichu, and sasha, wearing a blue bow in the tuff of hair on her head. the show begins and the pokemon start to dance.
(and.... cue angry team plazma members bitching about this! biggrin )

((Yeah, totally. Pokémon Musicals are one step away from gladiatorial combat in an over-packed arena. Almost literally. It's happening next door.))
Tess
"Hang on tight, Hummy!" Tess pulled Flygon's reigns and it reared back. With a flap of its wings, the pokémon soared, blasting off from the desert sands and flying high.
Her wings seemed to sing as they travelled, like a woman's voice at perfect pitch. Invisible in the sandstorm, they would truly seem like a spirit singing in the desert.
Finally, Nimbasa broke. The city of lights came into view from gaps in the sand. The last of the desert was calm, leading up to a road and archway. As the trainers passed overhead, a sensor activated on top of the outer wall, scanning and verifying their identities.
The pokémon center was slap dab in the middle of a busy street. Tess didn't really mind the screams as people leapt out of Flygons way when they swooped in for a landing. First off, Tess landed and patted her Flygon on the cheek for a job well done.
"Sorry I couldn't drop you off at your house," she said, taking her flying goggles off to rest on her forehead, "but your pokémon do need healing. Not to mention auntie and uncle would hardly be pleased to see me now, would they?"

N
Any minute now, one of hi scandidates would pass through the northern gate to Route 4. N sat on one of the benches inside the checkpoint behind an open newspaper, peeping through his lense-less frames. The rubber nose was stuffy, and the moustache itchy, but it was worth it. Such an elegant solution to the problem of being recognized.
Salieri walked through the checkpoint, and made it halfway through before turning her head and looking directly at N. She blinked a few times, then waved. “N? Hey, N!”
This could not be. N made hasty calculations in his head, and concluded that there was a 32% percent chance she was referring to someone else. Cheeks tinted red, he ignored her and looked down at the newspaper. The disguise had been foolproof, the media had said so.
The Battle Girl walked right up to N and leaned over. “You look really bizarre with that on. What are you doing?”
Liars! Actors were liars, just as bad as any other human. It had been naïve to trust television to show him how to make himself incognito. The green haired trainer took off the toys and set them aside next to him. Now, he would need a cover story to explain himself. N stood up straight and coughed into his hand.
“I was testing whether or not these toys were pokemon friendly. It appears that they are.”
Salieri just looked at him for a few seconds. There was an awkward silence as she scratched the back of her head. “O-kay. Uh, are you going to Nimbasa City? That’s where I’m headed to next.” “I was just taking a short break before traveling there, yes.” “Great! That’s great! Maybe when we get there we can hang out, or something. I heard there’s an amusement park.”
N rose an eyebrow. That sounded pleasant. Rides such as rollercoasters and ferris wheel were such an entertaining set of equations. Their operations, their mechanics. He gave Salieri his usually reserved smile. “Anyway, I have to get to the pokemon center. Liuye and Wukong beat each other up again,” she told N with a laugh, rapping at the side of her head with her fist. “Those two never learn. I’ll see you when I get there!”
She waved to him and was gone as soon as she had arrived. N looked down at the disguise, then threw it into the garbage can.
Two narrow, glowing red eyes opened in midair next to N’s head, looking aside at the green haired trainer. [I believe you’ve spent your money more wisely before,] whispered his Zoroark.
N huffed and turned on his heel, briskly walking away to Route 4 while Zero snickered quietly behind him. “It was just a small miscalculation…and 100 pokedollars…”
****
Salieri
As Salieri looked through the pokemart and began throwing supplies into a shopping cart, she mused on her previous interaction with N. If they were having a moment yesterday, he must not have thought much of it. She tried to play it cool, but still felt that she came across as awkward. Then again, he was wearing a fake moustache, nose and glasses. Yeah, N is pretty weird…
A few minutes later, she stepped outside with a slightly larger model belt bag to accommodate all of her new items. Salieri released all of her pokemon in front of her, and they took a moment to appreciate the sunshine.
“Now all that’s left to do is call Jump, and then we’re out of here,” she told them while stretching. Salieri located his number in her xtransceiver and dialed it up.
“CLICK…Yello? Jumpman here.” “Hey, it’s me.” “Ay, Sal! You win your gym battle?” “Of course. I squashed bugs all over that place.” “Cool, cool. Hey, I’m pretty busy but I’ll be around the wharf in like five minutes. Wanna meet me there real quick?” “Yeah yeah.” “Word, peace out! CLICK!”
Salieri looked ahead across the street. The wharf was right there. So she played the waiting game for five minutes and sat on a bench overlooking the water until all of the sudden, Jump fell out of the sky right in front of her, making an almost soundless landing on his feet. Over his shoulder was a large black body bag. The Interpol Agent waved to her.
“Hey, congrats!” he told her with a smile, holding out his hand for a high five. Despite the weirdness of his wounded, dirty and slightly disheveled appearance, body bag aside, the landing was cool. So Salieri just shrugged and accepted the high five.
“These guys really pulled through,” she told him, reeling in Chen Zhen and Salem under both of her arms. Haizhe plopped himself on top of her head, holding a newspaper he had swiped from the pokemart and reading it over with his Scope Lens monocle. “Couldn’t have done it without them. So, you wanted to give me something.” “Right, right. It’s a piece of advice. Moze told me something about your Aura ability.”
Suddenly, Salieri became more alert. This wasn’t what she expected to hear. Her suspicions about Moze and his knowledge of Aura were at least partially confirmed. She stood up from the bench, excited. “What about it?”
“Well, Aura abilities manifest in different ways. Genetic stuff, the way you train, who you are and your upbringing generally have something to do with it. Chances are, he has the same ability you do. He called it Nianzhu.” Jump scratched his chin. “Hope I’m not butchering that word.”
Salieri looked down at her hands. “Nianzhu…”
“It was confusing. I remember he said something about being the master of your own domain, or something. Then some philosophical stuff and some metaphors and, uh, high speed back. I think he said high speed back.” Now the Agent scratched the back of his head sheepishly. “Sorry. Can’t remember that stuff. But that wasn’t the important part! The important part is this.”
He held up three fingers with the hands not carrying Bill’s unconscious body. “Greed, hatred and delusion blind you from who you are. If you aren’t aware of who you are, then you can’t control yourself. And then you can’t use this power, or else you’ll destroy yourself-“
“I’ll WHAT?!”
“Lemme finish! You’ll destroy yourself. So just stay true to yourself and find your own melody of love! Zeraaaa-shashasha!” Jump grinned. “Word for word, that’s what he said. See, I remembered that part.”
What kind of power IS this? Salieri gulped. Suddenly, this didn’t seem so simple anymore. This wasn’t just something she could play around with. If she wasn’t careful…well, she didn’t know what would happen. But it couldn’t be good.
No more fun and games. Nianzhu needed to be mastered before she did something wrong. Salieri nodded up at Jump. “I understand. Thank you again, Jump. For everything.”
“No problem, kid. Anyway, I gotta jet. Wish I could stick around, but there’s business I gotta take care of. If you ever get in trouble, gimme a call.” He reached out and ruffled the top of her hair. Anybody else may have gotten flipped over after that, but Salieri just let it happen. She didn’t mind as much as she would have yesterday.
He flashed her a peace sign. “Godspeed.”
And then he was gone, running across the water over to the Pinwheel Forest to bring Bill to his teammates. Salieri looked over to the water that parted in his wake before turning back to her pokemon.
“Well guys, we’ve got a long trip ahead of us. The desert’s going to be the roughest terrain we’ve traveled. This is a great time to get even stronger. Let’s make it fun.” She held a hand out in front of her. “Hands in, Team Del Forrest!”
Hands, a blade, a tentacle and a paw all joined on top of Salieri’s hand. “4 on 3, ready? One, two, three-“
They brought all their hands up and jumped into the air at the end of the count, grinning wildly. It was time to get the show on the road again. “FOUR!”

"I don't think they'll be happy to see me, either," Henrietta said. But that's because she looked like the victim of a sledgehammer. She managed to smile at Tess. "Thank you, though. This is enough."

"Not a problem, my little Hummy," Tess said as Henrietta climbed down. She pulled back on the reigns and Flygon began to rise, and then soar. The pressure below the pokémon's wings would probably be a little hard to bear, but it only lasted a short while.
And Tess was off, flying out of sight.

Henrietta didn't need a room tonight, just the bathroom in the Pokemon Center. While her Pokemon recovered she stood before the woman's restroom mirror, doing magic with make up. Concealer in better brands was capable of concealing things cleanly, the problem was one needed their exact skin tone or it'd just look really weird.
Henrietta, luckily, had just that. She changed into shorts and a tank top with long socks. Hair brushed, straightened, she looked all ready to go home and look like nothing terrible at all had happened. The cuts on her arms and face were bandaged, sure, but nobody was going to grow suspicious of a few injuries on a trainer, as long as they weren't stitches like what was on her torso.
Applying the rest of her make up first, Henrietta made her way out of the Center. Pokemon recovered on attached to her belt she headed for home.
"Hummietta?"
Henrietta froze up at the nickname. She turned around to see who had asked it and saw a boy she vaguely recognized. Just another face in the crowd from high school.
"Wow, it is you. You've grown up," he said. A cute boy, maybe a year older? He was smiling. "What've you been up to?"
"H-henrietta."
"Sorry. Henrietta. Do you remember me?"
She shook her head.
"Ah man," he smiled bashfully, "this is embarrassing then. Roger, we had algebra together way back when. Look, I saw you, had some free time and wondered if we could hang out?"
Henrietta said nothing, simply stared passed his head.
"Right, I know. I was a jerk, like everyone else. Look, I've felt bad about all of that for a long time. Let me make it up to you."
"I-i was kind of heading home."
"Great, look, if it's alright I'll go with ya. Your parents won't freak, will they?"
Henritta was quiet for a moment. She hadn't any idea how to respond really. She'd made friends, moved on from the highschool life. She was heading toward something so much greater than this. So, perhaps, it was time to be a new person, and greet Roger, or whatever his name was, as a potential new friend?
"S-sure."
"Great, alright, lead the way." Roger was full of energy and a grin on his face. The two headed off toward Henrietta's home.
The house itself was a standard home for the neighborhood. The variations were hardly there, three base styles for what the home would look like for the entire thing with variations of each type made upon being built. Because of this a lot of houses looked almost identical. Two stories with a car parked in the driveway.
Henrietta leg Roger inside to the sound of television.
"Mom, Dad, I'm home," Henrietta announced but she was met with momentary silence. Then some quiet sobbing and some whispering.
"Mom? Dad?" She made her way to the sound of her parents, seeing them sitting at the kitchen table. Her mother was crying, her father had an arm wrapped around her. Roger's smile faded and he hang back at the entrance to the kitchen as Henrietta stepped over to them.
"Wh-what's wrong?"
"Oh Henrietta," her mother stood up and hugged her. "Your grandpa Carl passed away this morning."
Henrietta didn't know what to say. She simply wrapped an arm around her mother and stood there.
"The funeral is this weekend." Her father spoke in a low tone, standing by the chair. "We've been making preparations all day."
"Grandpa?" Henrietta heard her voice break. "B-but..."
It was some time later that Henrietta sat in her room on her bed on the second story. Her shoulders slumped and her eyes were trained on the ground.
"Henrietta?" Roger sat next to her, wrapping an arm around her. "Are you okay?"
Henrietta said nothing.
"Look, it'll be okay." He pulled her over and she rested her head on his shoulder. "Don't worry." He kissed her head and hushed her and she tilted her head up to look at him.
"Rog-
And then he kissed her and she felt her cheeks flush, hidden behind powerful concealer. However, she didn't pull away and he took it as an invitation ad he arm wrapped around her back instead of her shoulder and he pulled her closer.
***
There was the sound of beeping, doctors and nurses scrambling. Screaming and shouting, cursing, but it all sounded so distant to Henrietta. There was a big fuss and she heard her name, cursed and hated. Above her head was a folder held by an organizer bolted to the wall. The header read 'pelvic mutilation'.
"I-i didn't know that would happen," she said. She'd mean to say it to Roger had he not kicked her out, shouted and screamed at her to leave and die and cursed her and her weird awkward self. It wasn't her fault she couldn't control her aura ability, was it?
'Next time I don't want to see any hesitation in you. Not a bit. Have you got that, Hummy?'
Henrietta's head lifted up. It felt like whatever was there of her old life she couldn't salvage. The new one had, literally this time, gotten in the way. She looked toward the door but she couldn't bring herself to enter. Roger didn't want her there.
She was a burden if she stayed. If she stayed still at all. Tess was right, she couldn't hesitate. As all of these changes occurred at once it only added to the chaos that she could see now.
And she had to keep moving. She couldn't let emotion get the better of her. There was a lot more at stake. Resolving to put what she felt behind her, Henrietta rose from her seat. There was something that needed to be done now.
Henrietta left the hospital then, and made her way toward the gym.
Just keep moving forward.

“Hmm…this is…sandy…”
Salieri held up a hand for a visor as she scanned the horizon, the other on her hip. Sands as far as the eye could see. The road got covered by sand a shorts ways afte entering Route 4. Standing on the edge of the pavement, Salieri tried to make out where their best course of action was. “Salem, how far out does this desert go?”
At her feet, her Espeon closed her eyes and concentrated. She was able to detect minute changes in the air through her fur, and map out her environment in her mind. “Nya,” she mewed, pointing a paw to the northwest.
Behind Salem, Chen Zhen cooed. Since evolution, Salem was like a navigator to the team. [Isn’t that amazing? Guys? Isn’t that just so amazing?] the Pansage cheered. Liuye Dao, with his arms folded across his chest, simply sighed.
[Hmph. Clairvoyence is hardly an awe inspiring thing,] said Haizhe. The Frillish brought a tentacle arm up to his chest dramatically. [Why, it was only a year ago that I was spying on residents of the Pokemon Center through their showers and toilets. Information gathering first hand, at it’s finest. Ah, those were the day of elegance, of class!]
[This guy…he’s nuts.] Wukong groaned. On his eyes were Salieri orange tinted Go-Goggles she had just purchased at the pokemart. He snorted, causing flames to spurt from his nostrils as he tapped his foot in impatience. [Oi, we know where we’re going, right? Lets get there, I wanna train.]
Chen Zhen pointed at the Go-Goggles. [Hey, where’d you get those?] [Sal’s bag.] [Can I try them on?] [Nope, get your own.]
“We’re going to need a ride. Salem, that’ll be your training today.” She pointed a flatish, car sized boulder. “Hop on.”
The Espeon nodded, darting away and jumping on top of the rock. “Now try lifting it up. I know you can lift a lot of weight, but you need to train using your Telekinesis properly.”
Salem’s eyes widened at the request. She pursed her lips together, nodded, and concentrated. The red jewel on her forehead shined bright. A blue, translucent aura of psychic power covered the boulder in a tight bubble. It began to float upwards, sand drifting off the bottom.
Salieri reached into her belt bag, but could not find her goggles. She looked around and spotted them on her Monferno’s face. “Oi.” She yanked the goggles right off his face, much to his dismay. “Get your own.”
The Battle Girl put them on and jumped onto the boulder hovering three feet in the sky. It rocked as she landed to Salem’s left. “Full speed ahead!” Salem’s eye twitched, and the boulder began to steady as it moved forward, slowly accelerating.
[I’m still not used to this, can you not rock the boat?] Salem asked, a sweatdrop forming on the back of her head. [No pun inten-]
[BY GOD, I CALL SHOTGUN!] bellowed Haizhe as he floated over to the boulder. However, he was much slower than the other three pokemon, who all made it to the boulder in one leap as it started to pick up speed. Wukong sat behind everybody, Liuye sat on the other side of Salem, and Chen Zhen sat on top of Salem.
The boulder dipped from all the weight piled on at once, slowing down considerably. Salem gasped, then grit her teeth maniacally as her eye twitched again. Sal’s Frillish caught up and plopped down between Salem and Liuye Dao. Her jaw dropped a little as Haizhe pushed the Pawniard to the backseat of the rock next to Wukong. [Move it, I called shotgun. I called it.]
Liuye Dao honorably complied and shuffled backwards. After all, he did call shotgun.
The Espeon focused back on the sand ahead of her, face contorted in a snarl while making the boulder pick up speed again. [Haizhe,] she hissed, [you can already float…]
[Yes but why exert myself to reach this speed when I can get a free ride?] The Frillish winked with the eye not behind a monocle and gave a thumbs up. Chen Zhen looked down from his perch atop Salem, patting her on the back ecstatically. [This is so sweet! Can you do a barrel ro-] She reared her head back, facing Chen Zhen with glowing purple eyes. [Get OFF.]
The Pansage immediately backflipped off with Acrobatics into the spot between Wukong and Liuye. He gulped. [Yes ma’am.] The armored ninja and the fire monkey shared a glance. Liuye made a whipping motion with his knife hand, causing Wukong to snicker.
[Totally.] “Can you guys shuddup and let her concentrate?” Salieri called back to her team after giving Salem a direction to go to. Now they were cruising at a steady pace comparable to a country drive, except through a sandstorm on a floating boulder. Sal turned to face the rest of team, patting Salem on the back. “You’re doing great, girl. Now the rest of you guys, it’s time for something different. Here’s what we’re going to do.”
The Battle Girl had her confident grin on, with a hint of mischief in her amber eyes. Her pokemon all shared the same thought: this would be unpleasant.

((Just threw this up while baby sitting. sorry bout the grammar. also Mars, if i don't post before you want to battle burgh, just assume that my battle has already been completed.))
It wasn't long before the Two Tk's made there way to the center of the Gym, the battle field Had a moss covered floored, random rocks, Logs and tree's that grew around the perimeter battle field. off to the side sat a man with an Eccentric looking outfit and big bushy hair.
"What do ya think his problem is?" asked Tk's clone, leaning over as to not be overheard by Burgh.
The real Tk shrugged. "Dunno, maybe he has a stomach ache"
Just then Burgh stood up, "No no, my stomach is just fine. Im just troubled over thoughts about this Team plasma. Nothing a child like you would be worried about." he said with a smile, holding his arms out as a welcoming gesture.
"Who knew he had such good hearing" the Clone Tk whispered.
The real Tk chuckled. 'yea, me not worried about Team plasma' Tk inwardly rolled his eye's.
"The only reason a young man like yourself would be visiting me here in my Gym would be to challenge me for this" He held up the Beetle Badge.
Both Tk's eyes lit up at the sight of the badge. "Yea, thats why were here." he said , Pulling pokeball from his belt.
"Well, i see no reason to delay our battle." Burgh stated, Picking up one of his Three pokeballs that were sitting on his Table and tossing it casually onto the battle field. a Dwebble Materialized on the Feild.
