The man was fast, in a blink of her eye needles stabbed through her arms and legs and kept her down. Her eyes went downcast, staring at the shadow connecting them. The shadow was the source, the source of her inability to get up and move like she wanted. She wanted to get out, to go. She needed to, she felt the desire burn inside her. Expecting to see a little collateral damage, Manny walked towards the dojo’s doors and added to the mess. Sending chunks of wood and stone flying outwards, as he cleaved his way through, then he looked around. Placing his mighty sword upon his broad shoulders, Manfread made a single handseal. Immediately the world around Manny began to open, spreading farther and farther. He began to slowly take everything in, all the damage and fighting which had and was occurring. “Aniki is totally gonna chew me out for not showing up earlier…” Manny said with a deep sigh. Slipping his sword into its ‘sheath’ Manfread raced off, making a ninety-degree turn before smashing through a fruit stand he quickly located the others with his Byakugan. Sliding to a stop outside the bunker Manny channeled chakra into his hands and slammed them into the ground. Spikes of stone would erupt from the earth between Doc and the oncoming ice barrage, like a make shift palisade. Running up to the wall of the bunker he stopped and took a deep breath. This was his time to Shine! Cracking his knuckles before hammering the wall, Manny turned the stone to dust and little bits of debris. Triumphantly stepping through the hole he had made Manny pointed a finger at Doc’s attacker. “Foolish Mortal!” He roared, placing his left hand on his waist and puffing his chest out, “Only Suna nin can beat up on other….. Doc what the hell is going on here? Why are you all infighting with out ME?!?” He lowered his arm and tilted his head to one side, there were a lot of unfamiliar faces around but they wore his village’s headband. So Manny concluded that anyone he did not know must be a new genin! He then placed his right hand upon the hilt of his sword, before waiting for a response.

Doc watched as the girl struggled very hard to get free from his shadow. The girl was strong, and Doc underestimated her strength as he wasn't focusing on making sure she wouldn't get free. But, she managed to form a hand seal and change to ice in to spikes. Doc took a quick look at the ice and said, "Well you are pretty strong or a little girl. But you really need to be aware of who you are up against if you continue."
Just as Doc was preparing to take the hit from the spikes of ice, he would pause and sense Manfread running to somewhere, then stopping just outside this room. Doc would look at the girl and smile. Doc knew exactly what might happen if Manny stopped just outside.
In a second, spikes of stone would rise out of the ground around Doc like they were set up to be protection from the ice. Just as Manny crashed through the wall, Doc would release his shadows. As the girls attention was on Manny, Doc would use the dust from the wall breaking in order to use body flicker to vanish and appear on the other side of the girl. Doc would stare at the girl and say, "Hey Manny."
Doc would reply to Manny saying, "Oh, not to much. Just trying to save this little girls life even if she wants to die instead." Doc smiled, "I wouldn't mind a little help though."

Sonyo held the hand seal, after all, she couldn't even move her fingers to break it anymore. The ice began to crawl its way around the stone, still attempting to make it's way towards the two men now seeking shelter between it. A tear rolled down Sonyo's cheek, she hurt so much. With every jutsu she used, the pain increased. She felt like someone had taken molten steel and poured it in to her wound. Her eyes flicked downwards to check if she could see flesh sizzling but nothing was there.
The young female's head snapped towards the two males as one of them told her that "only suna shinobi" could fight eachother. How dare this idiot come to her and tell her this wasn't her home, that she didn't belong here. Sonyo gritted her teeth together, more tears rolling down her cheeks. However, they were no longer tears of pain but of anger and frustration. She had given everything to this village, she had defected for Otogakure and their evil and risked death to be here and they still didn't welcome her!? She would show them she belonged here, that she wasn't some pushover!
"How dare you speak to me like that! I am no child, I am no stranger! I risked death to become a shinobi of Sunagakure no Sato! I left my family and everything I knew behind! How dare you stand there and tell me I'm not a shinobi of this village! I'll make you regret those damn words you moron!" Sonyo sat up, making hand seals with her free hand now that she no longer had to deal with her muscles ripping. She focused, her chakra drawing moisture from the circulated air in the hospital. In a flash, spears of solid ice were born in to existance all around Sonyo and through the room. Ice nearly as hard as steel ripped through the ceiling and walls of the room and from that room the hospital slowly began to collapse.

“Sure Doc, I don’t mind helping you,” Manny said in an overly joyous tone, “But you will owe me one.” Manny then turn his attention to the ‘would be patient’, carefully listening to her ‘crazed’ rants. Which hit all sorts of Manny’s nerves and soft spots! He knew every ‘important’ shinobi in the village! San, Bast, James, Lucas, Aniki, Akane, those other faces… Before he could retort to the girl’s snide comments, ice spear raced through the building and towards Manny. Acting fast, Manfread whipped his sword off its perch on his shoulder and drove it into the ground in front of him. Bracing the blade with his back, he used it as a make shift shield to avoid damage. There was a tremendous bang and the groaning of ice against metal, but the sword held firm. The ground and Manny on the other hand, were forced back a couple of feet due to the sudden impact. Swiftly recouvering he gripped the hilt of his weapon, then Manfread ripped it from its new icy encasement with all his might. Swinging it around a few times Manny took a step to charge forwards, before he hesitated for the first time! The building was coming down all around them…. And he wasn’t really sure of how to help some one who didn’t want an early grave. “Doc!” Manfread shouted, smashing a falling piece of debris out of the air, “How should I proceed? Is it alright if I break a few bones?”

Kaori woke up slowly, but the sound of fighting, and ice cracking and shifting, brought all of her instincts to the forefront of her mind, and she snapped to attention. Her pale eyes landed on Nova's tense form, fur bristled and poofed out in agitation. Kaori got up, and noticed that she was in the typical hospital clothes, but after a quick search with her eyes and nose, her own clothes were easy enough to find; as well as all her equipment. Kaori dressed quickly and made sure that everything was secured. She then looked back at Nova, who had begun to pace back and forth,
“Alright Nova, what's going on?” Nova shook her massive head and growled slightly, "I don't know, to be completely honest, I've been more concerned with you, I haven't left your room since you were brought in. Recently things have been getting chaotic, no one has even been in to check on you, so I'm assuming that things are bad, very bad. I heard someone outside say that Chomei is loose...." Nova paused here and looked at her partner, she knew as well as Kaori did that the only way Chomei would be free, was if Kohaku had died somehow. Kaori froze where she was, she had hardly known her little brother, but he had been her brother, and she had sworn to protect him, as much as she was able since he was determined to be a shinobi. But for him to have died so young? Kaori fought tears for a moment, but she pushed the feelings of loss to the back of her mind for the moment, she had a job to do, but she wasn't sure what that job was. "Right. We have a job to do, and I've been slacking on it for a long time, I have a feeling. Let's figure this out, and get out there."
Nova nodded and followed her partner from her hospital room and out to the rest of the hospital. Kaori followed the sound of talking, and the sound of ice snapping and pained sounds. She came across Doc, her old Superior from back when she was a fresh Genin straight out of the academy, and two people she didn't know, but both had the Sunagakure headband. She sighed softly and weaved several handsigns and then weaved her chakra into the flowers in her hair. The flowers then spread throughout the room, and a feeling of not wanting to use any jutsu followed them. The feeling carried with it a sense of foreboding, that would cause anyone under the influence of the jutsu, as if using any jutsu themselves was just a bad idea. She debated using another of her techniques, but for the moment, she would bide her time, no need to show her full hand at the moment after all.
"Anyone care to tell me what is going on right now? I just woke up, and I'm not in the best of moods."
Nova stalked up and bared her fangs in a semblance of a grin, though it was more of a threat than a kind gesture of friendliness. This was her fierce partner, this was the girl she had grown up with, and had been terrified that she was going to lose. Nova stalked around the others in the room, keeping her sharp eyes on all the occupants in the room, ready to act at a moment's notice.
Jutsu Used: Torishimaru Kihaku no Jutsu [ The Art of Controlling the Soul ] Rank B: A stronger version of The Art of Projecting the Soul. However, this Jutsu adds the effect of persuading the target(s) to thinking that activating or continuing the use of any of their Jutsu would be a bad idea. (i.e. a feeling of dread, impending doom, etc)

Doc watched as the room filled with ice. He rolled his eyes as the girl got really mad at Manny for saying that she wasn't part of Suna. "You know girl, if you keep this up you will regret it." Doc would then put his hands in his pockets and step back from the girl.
As the room crumbled, Doc saw a piece come down on Manny and just get brushed away. Doc smiled.
"Ya, just stop the ice but don't kill her. I don't want to explain why she died on us." Doc replied.
Doc would stand back out of the way and make sure that he wouldn't be in the way of Manny. Doc would then see Kaori walk in and ask what was going on. Doc looked at her and smirked. He knew now that this situation would come under control soon.

Anger boiled inside the small female, her vision beginning to turn red, when suddenly a suggestion slipped in to her mind. She didn't want to use jutsu anymore, but why? Sonyo psychically flinched, reaching up with her working arm to grab her head. What was going on, where was Nari? Sonyo looked up and around at the angry faces surrounding her. It took a few seconds, but the reality of what she had just done sank in. She had attacked the people she was supposed to protect, the people she was supposed to hold over her own life. How many people had she killed during her rampage? Sonyo's eyes grew wide as they began to tear up, her whole body beginning to tremble. "Oh god what did I do....?" The female's voice cracked before she set her face in her hands and began to sob.
How was she gonna be able to show her face around the village, around anyone? How could she even live in this village anymore? She knew that her actions hadn't really been hers, but all the same she was responsible for them. How was she gonna be able to even show her face around Nari or Theo when she had failed them, failed everyone, so horribly? She was supposed to be a protector and a healer and she had murdered people. Sonyo allowed her knees to fold up to her chest, her white armor stained in her own blood now from not only the puncture wounds in her appendages but also the stab wound in her back. She just sat there and cried, unable to do anything other than repeat herself. "What have I done...? Oh god...Oh god..."

“Permission granted!” Manny said a fire lighting up in his eyes. Using his Byakugan, Manfread swiftly traced a path to his target before springing into action, easily moving past ice spears and debris he honed in on his target. Half way to his objective, Manny noticed someone and something with in his ‘world’, followed by the feeling of dread and despair should he utilize any jutsu. Griping the hilt of his sword so tight that his knuckles turned white, Manny tied to ignore his emotions rushing over him. Racing for the girl, Manfread smashed through an ice spear that was in his path, before dropping his sword to strike with his armour-piercing fist. Stopping violently a few feet from his target, Mafread created some distance. The girl was defenseless and crying. If he were to attack now, it would no longer be the ‘war’ he craved simply meaningless violence. Confused by the sudden turn of events, Manfread staggered backwards. He was a soldier, not an executioner! Staggering back a couple of feet, Manny attempted to regain his composure. After a moment he turned to Doc and said, “This is beyond me. All yours!” Ignoring the tiger while moving to retrieve his sword Manfread added, “There’s still a battle to be fought and I want to be in the thicket! So hurry up here, so we can move on!”

No significant interaction with the individuals in the hospital left Kyomei as 'just another civilian.' Hunched over, like a turtle under some debris shaking and quivering wide eyed. She had wedged herself beneath some rubble and a hospital bed as she watched these 'shinobi' and what transpired between them. Kyomei's world view was reverting back to the times during the shinobi conflicts in the land of tea. She was gripping her many ringed staff incredibly tight as it was making small but negligible dings and clinks. How did she end up here? She desperately tried to remember as she whispered in the third person to herself."Master exorcist Kyomei Nenemaru has found herself in an unfavorable situation un hata. This village is in shambles..barabara. Outside a disgusting demon too powerful for even the almighty Kyomei's might. Un hata un un. In front of her a terrifying shinobi was undoubtedly possessed. Bara bara hata and I Kyomei was helpless aided her with my greatest skill...yes Kyomei the unparalleled exorcist extraordinaire was forced to use her ultimate move. The lurking in the shadows technique past down from generation to generation hyun hata hyun. Black turtle's shell of darkness. Kyu hata kyu"There was no technique. Obviously the girl was fooling herself into not being as piss terrified as she was by calling her cowering beneath the structures a technique. She would then close her eyes as she dug into her memories before all of this happened.
A home, with an old couple cowering in a corner not unlike herself. It was a small home and what could be considered a poltergeist was floating around haphazardly in the household. Not doing any harm mind you, simply being impish. The door of the home was soon met with a mighty swing open as a girl bearing a gilded ring staff rose her hand in assertion. "Cease foul spirit! Leave this place, and this venrabable elderly couple alone!" "I believe the term you're looking for is venerable deary." The old woman's comment would be met with puffed cheeks and a rather confused looking poltergeist. "Shoosh wise one, I Kyomei shall rid your home of this foul beastie!" The memory of the several slips of paper circling herself was truly a vivid one. Trapping the spirit within the home, and then throwing the final Fulu to seal it's fate to the afterlife. Yes, it was truly one of the happiest moments in the young shrine maiden's life. Then the wall began caving in, everything shook, the elderly couple though weak had fled long before her. She had stepped outside and looking to the horizon...there was the seven tailed insect laying waste. Kaori could feel her tail flicking back and forth, and her cat ears were laid back, blending in with her hair as she suppressed the annoyed sound. She wanted to know what was going on, and she had used a mid-level jutsu to try and prevent more damage being done to the hospital, but it seemed that at least one was determined to continue. She was thankful that he stopped right before he made deadly contact with the girl who had been struggling, but now was in tears and mumbling to herself through an obvious breakdown. Seeing her tears, Kaori couldn't help but feel bad for her, clearly, something was not right. The Cat-woman sighed and rubbed at her ears, tail now calmly swaying back and forth,
“I'll ask again, what's going on?” Kaori said as she made her way over to the girl, her pale eyes turning a deadly glare that promised pain to the stranger that had decided to continue his charge if he decided to attack. She then placed a single hand on the girl's shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze, even as she used another clan jutsu. She could feel all the pain drawing out of the girl, and into herself, affording the other female a rapid, nearly triple that of normal, healing rate. The girl would feel all the pain, both physical and mental, drain from her, at least for a while, as the jutsu worked it's magic on her body, making it easy for her to relax for a while.
Nova heard the sound of metal clinging against metal and she turned to the sound, only to find a hosptial bed wedged against some debris. Nova snorted and used her claws and fangs to move the bed, and found a small girl with short purple hair, mumbling to herself. Nova rolled her eyes and flicked the girl with her tail, "Hey, are you alright cub?" The massive tiger asked, her tone seemed to indicate a raised eyebrow, if she had eyebrows to raise. She would never understand humans and their strange ways, which made her thankful that her Kaori was more tiger than human. "Kaori, I found a cub over here hiding from all the commotion."
Kaori turned and looked over at Nova, then nodded as she looked the other girl over, "Bring her over, Doc should be more than qualified to help her if she needs it. Is she a civilian or a shinobi?"
Nova gently nudged the girl up, then over to Doc as she looked her over for a headband, but she didn't spot one right away. Nova just shook her head at Kaori, knowing she would understand it for being unsure, rather and a negative answer. Kaori just nodded once more and looked at Doc, since he was the only one whom she knew at the moment,
"I've been.... out of commission for a while, can I get a brief rundown on what's going on? All I know is what Nova's told me, which is just that the Seven Tail is loose, and last I recall is that my little brother was chosen as his host. Which means my little brother is now dead."

How could the secret art of the Black turtle shell in the shadows failed so easily."Hunyuuuu... an expression of discomfort rang from the girl as the tiger prodded her diminutive body, for what she did not know. Kyomei was not a shinobi, from where she descended none were. They were civilians, civilians who developed methods to counter shinobi usurpation of their lands and she was here in Sunagakure on pilgrimage, greater still was that she was here judging the worthiness of Shinobi judging them in comparison to the ones that had invaded her homeland many years ago. When the Tiger known as Nova returned to look at the girl where she was now. It would find that a small paper doll had been attached in the center of it's face. These paper dolls were said to cleanse evil...but their user still had a long way to go and was filled with rampant paranoia.
The girl finally making her presence known to everyone pulled out a spirit mop and started a panicked waving it around. The thin stick with paper talismans was being waved about haphazardly in the air while she held the staff taller than herself firmly with the other hand. "Stay away from the Yuki-ona she's under the influence of possession, I know! I know, I've seen it before Byu hana bara! The greater demon outside with the seven tails! It has dominion over her mind and body. Begone evil, away with you! Bara bara un bara bara!" The girl had no visible injuries much to her own luck. The words she would be reciting were laced with foreign accent and dialect. Unfortunately the faith in taoism was pale in comparison to Shinto and Buddhism in the region so chances are there would be no divine intervention with the girls waving around of her spirit mop. In fact if the girl really were possessed by a real demon it would have probably laughed at the pathetic attempt. Still the clear implication that Kyomei was an exorcist by trade had become increasingly obvious with her shrine maiden outfit with a diamond shaped tear that exposed the menagerie of Tattoos on her back, the paper doll with taoist scripture resting in the center of the tigers face, and the almost humorous waving around of the spirit mop like her life depended on it....which she believed it did.

Sora slept restlessly as he tossed and turned in his bed. His slumber filled with pants, sobs, and even the occasional whimper. His dreams, or rather nightmares, were filled with nothing but torture that the Jashinists gave him over the many years of captivity. Every day he gave them defiance and he was rewarded with harsher punishments every time. Most would have caved and gave into the will of Jashin... but not Sora. He held onto who he was but forgot just who he was along the journey. He held onto what he could remember which mostly revolved around his morality. But other things such as who he was and where he was from were lost with his insanity. His insanity was a gift that he was given along the way to allow him to deal with the torture. To allow him to keep moving forward against all odds set against him. So that he could one day rise victorious. It was difficult to keep the needles and tubes hooked up to his body. But the medical staff made due with a lot of medical tape wrapped around his arms and disposable gown.

Doc stood off to the side as Manny ran towards the girl and stopped right before contacting her. Doc was really relieved that Manny didn't actually touch her. He knew that he would have a lot to deal with if Manny did follow through. "It's fine Manny, you can go off and play with the Seven Tail. Kaori and I will be fine here. Thanks though." Doc replied as he walked back towards the now crying girl.
He would move his attention over to Kaori and say, "Thank you for stopping this. It was really helpful." Doc looked at the girl that was crying then looked back at Kaori. "So from what I understand, the Seven Tail is loose, this girl got stabbed with a poisonous knife, and Suna is pretty close to being destroyed. But that's all I know." He said. Doc put his hand on the girls shoulder and looked at her with a disappointing look on his face. "Kaori." Doc said again, "I managed to get a fair bit of the poison out and I'm having the hospital analyze it for me. If you want, you could send Nova to go get it."
Doc now put his hand over the wound and made sure that what just happened didn't blow the cut open. From what he could see, it seemed to have held but it was still bleeding a little. Doc pulled out some bandages and said to the girl, "I am going to bandage your cut up now. If that is ok with you?" Doc had everything out and ready to finish cleaning the wound and finally bandage it up.
Sonyo initially flinched away from Kaori's touch, but once she knew the woman wouldn't hurt her, she relaxed. The pain slowly began to fade and Sonyo began to feel more and more like herself, the numbness she feared so much was fading away with the pain. Sonyo wiped at her eyes, trying to calm herself. This wasn't a time to cry, she had to make up for the mistakes that she made, she had to try. When doc offered to finish fixing her up, sonyo nodded and answered him with a shaky voice. "Yeah... I'm okay now... I won't be freaking out anymore..." She looked at the man who had rushed her, the one with the giant sword.
"I'm sorry for calling you a moron... It was uncalled for..." Sonyo looked back down, her eyebrows creased with guilt. Her shoulders were slumped with defeat and her heart was still heavy. She wasn't looking forward to talking either to nari or her sensei, she didn't want to face them after all of this. "Once you have me fixed up I can go to work, I'm a medical shinobi myself..."
