Day 17 :: A book you’ve read that changed your views on something
Hmm... I'm sure there's been several books that have influenced a change in my views somewhat. But as of right now, the one book that I can instantly think of that has changed my views is Twilight. Now, before you Twilight despisers go cursing the book and what not, let me finish what I have to say. Very much like how everyone else views vampires, I had always viewed them as the dark, mysterious, blood-sucking figures who cast a sexual vibe to anyone they come in contact with (especially those of the opposite sex). In other words, Dracula was the usual vampire imagery I thought of in the context of vampires. However, after reading Twilight, I began to become more interested in looking at the mythology and what not revolving around vampires. Guess what people? Dracula isn't the only type of vampire in folklore. You'll be amazed how many different vampire myths there are out in the world, especially ones that don't conform to the usual vampire image. So, as a result of Twilight, I've become more acceptive of other versions of vampires. Including those pictured in Twilight. *shrugs* Alright, you Twilight despisers can go curse the book now - just not here in my thread.
