To the Council of Revered Elders:
Dear Sirs and Madames,
A very dear friend of mine is turning 50 later this month and I had the high hope of buying her something wonderful for her birthday.
She is a wonderful person with a love for kitchen gadgets. I thought to get her a new gadget, but she seems to have them all.
When asked what she would like, she simply says that there isn't anything she wants. The unfortunate problem is that is true.
I am only half her age, exactly 25 years and one month her junior. I have never been 50 and do not know what it is like, and thusly feel ill-equipped to explain the great things about it.
As such, I am humbly asking all revered elders to reply (preferably by PM) to this message. All I need is a quick line or two telling me (or my friend Cindy) what you think the best part about being 50 is, your initials and your age.
I intend to copy them down, verbatim, onto little pieces of paper, place each one in its very own mini envelope (about 2"x2"), writing the wisdom bearer's (that's you) initials and age on the front of the each corresponding envelope, then putting all the envelopes in a pretty box with a personalized note from me attached to the top explaining the unorthodoxy of her gift.
This is the kind of present I would like to receive (aside from cash) and I think she would enjoy it as well. Thank you all for reading.
