Kisuke began walking towards the house that he needed to locate to start his next mission. He was going to do another mission where he does yard work for some people in the village. But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at. 1401 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Delight Street. Who names a streets Delight Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 1401, he went up to the door and knocked on it. A old lady answered the door and behind her 50 cats showed up to see who was at the door. Instantly they could smell the wolf on him and they hissed and scattered.

The old lady laughed and led him inside of the house, she offered him some lemonade or tea. Kisuke politely declined. He asked her to show him where the work was. She nodded and led him to the back of the house. There was fur on pretty much every piece of furniture in the entire house. Well he guessed it wasn't that much different then when him and Fang hung around the house. But fang didn't shed nearly as much .

The old lady opened the door to the backyard, he then showed him the area where the weeds were. It appeared that there wasn't that many, she just wasn't even able to do it herself with the heat and her bad back. Kisuke nodded and started getting to work as he pulled all the weeds that were in his sight. It was a fairly small patch and he was able to get through it rather quickly. But boy was it hot outside. After finishing up and making sure everything looked nice he took his leave and the old lady thanked him.

1/50 missions

Kisuke began walking towards the house that he needed to locate to start his next mission. He was going to do another mission where he does yard work for some people in the village. But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 345, he went up to the door and knocked on it. An older gentlemen was the one to answer this time around, the house behind him was pretty silent. It appeared he didn't have any pets or anything like that. He introduced himself as the one who was going to be pulling the weeds.

The old man nodded and motioned for him to come in, he still hadn't said a word to him which was a little weird. Kisuke looked around the house as they walked it was pretty spotless. Most of the furniture was covered is some kind of clear wrap. Probably to keep everything even cleaner. It would prevent stains and such.

The old man opened the door to his garden, it would appear he was quite the avid gardener. Except he didn't appear to like pulling the weeds himself. He still hadn't spoken to him, he merely pointed at the weeds and vanished. Well Kisuke ignored the creepiness of the entire event and got to work. He began to pull the weeds from the mans garden, careful to not pull anything that the old man would want. Once he finished the old man bowed to him and gave him his coupon. Kisuke bowed as well and began to leave as the man said thank you.

2/50 mission

Kisuke began walking towards the house that he needed to locate to start his next mission. He was going to do another mission where he does yard work for some people in the village. But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at. 4356 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Tick Street. Who names a streets Tick Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 4356, he went up to the door and knocked on it. A child was the one opening the door this time. Which was a bit surprising because she looked fairly young. Kisuke inquired about her parents he told him they went out for a second but told her about the ninja coming to do yard work.

While kiisuke was a bit concerned about the parent leaving such a young kid home alone to open the door for a stranger. I mean he guessed they didn't worry because he was a shinobi of the village but what if someone else had shown up before him? There was no way for them to no that nothing bad would happen. He sighed as the young girl led him around the house to a small alley overgrown with grass.

She told him he needed to clear all that out for his mission and then she took off back inside the house. Kisuke rolled up his sleeves and began to get to work. This place had a lot more weeds then the ones before. But the good part since it was the side of the house the area was at least shaded. He didn't have to feel the heat of the sun on him. As he was finishing he heard footsteps he turned to see a young woman at the end of the alley. She introduced herself as the mother of the young girl. She apologized for having her child to answer. But she had the neighbor across the street watching to make sure nothing happened. She point up to a window where a old man was sitting in a rocking chair he waved and continued smoking. Kisuke bowed the young mother as she handed him the coupon.

But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at 9857 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Dumb Street. Who names a streets Dumb Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 9857, he went up to the door and knocked on it. The person to open the door this time was in a wheel chair, it was a man who was older than him but still looked young. He smiled at the young genin as he welcomed him into his house. As he was following the man he thanked him for coming to help him out that day. Kisuke said it was no problem, out of the corner of his eye he noticed a konoha headband sitting on a table.

When he stopped to look at it the man took notice, he rolled over to it and touched the headband lightly. Kisuke looked at the headband and looked at him. The man didn't miss that movement, he told him how he also used to be a shinobi. A chunnin at his time, but a mission left him severly damaged. He was lucky to live, but his spine was not repairable. So he was discharged from being a shinobi and now lives in this home with his wife. Kisuke thanked him for his service and for telling him his story.

The man nodded and showed him the area he was going to be doing work in. He said he would be back in a bit and to get started. Kisuke nodded as he began to toil away at the weeds. It was pretty easy to get these little buggers out. But the heat from the sun is what made it a bit unbareable. He knew he had to get this done so he could go to takumi. Nothing was going to stop him from what he needed to do. After he was finished with the weeds the man returned with some cold water. Kisuke drank it and thanked him. After recieving his mission coupon he bowed and left for the next mission.

Kisuke began walking towards the house that he needed to locate to start his next mission. He was going to do another mission where he does yard work for some people in the village. But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at. 2222 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Blink Street. Who names a streets Blink Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 2222, he went up to the door and knocked on it. A younger boy was the one to answer the door this time. He was older than the girl he encountered earilier but still young. He seemed in a bit of a hurry as he spoke to Kisuke and confirmed he was the one to do the job. His manner of speaking and behavior seemed pretty suspicious. But he didn't really have time to overthink things.

He followed the kid to the back of the house, he kept telling him that he needed to complete the job in a relativly short amount of time. That was kind of a no brainer, he didn't want to be stuck here forever pulling weeds. The faster he gets done with this the better, the boy was still acting strange at this point. When they get to the location he couldn't believe his eyes. This was the worst over grown garden he had seen in a while. And he wanted him to do all of this in less time than the others?

Kisuke got to work as the little boy pressured him to hurry up, a small part of him wanted to prolong this as long as possible to see what was going on. But he also didn't want to have a dissatisfied citizen. So he put his arms into overdrive as he pulled weeds left and right. It was easy for him to pick apart the ones that needed to be pulled and those that didn't But the time was appraoching and the boy looked like he was about to piss himself. Kisuke revved it up more and was able to clean the rest up in the next couple minutes. The boy gave him the mission coupon and then pushed him out of the house. Kisuke thought that was rather rude but he did his mission. As he rounded the corner an older couple walked by him and towards the house he just left. He heard the man call out that once he walks in he better see that garden clean or somebody is going to be in big trouble.

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 1, he went up to the door and knocked on it. Noone answered the door this time around, he knocked on it one more time. But he still had no response. When he was about to leave he stepped on something that crinkled. Looking down he found a piece a paper address to a shinobi-san and asked them to enter.

He was a bit uneasy about opening someone door, but if the paper said it was okay. He knocked one more time before opening it. He poked his head through the door into the darkness of the hallway. He called out to anyone in the house, but did not recieve any response. He slowly walked in and looked around. He found another paper that directed him down the hall way. And another one, and another one, until he reached a door that said weed the garden here.

Kisuke opened the door and the garden was there waiting for him, he decide to not think about the wirdness and get to work. It was quite a small garden so it wasn't too difficult for him to get through the weeds fairly quickly. As he was finishing him he began to exit when he saw an envelope on the other side of the door. He had not see in when he walked outside because he was focused on the garden. Inside lay the mission coupon, he could have just taken it and not done the work. But of course that wouln't be something he would do. He carefully made his way out and exited.

But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at. 2 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Pear Street. Who names a streets Pear Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 2, he went up to the door and knocked on it. He heard some barking from the other side of the door as it opened revealing a lone dog. he barked happily at seeing Kisuke. He was very dog liked person due to his connections with the Inuzuka. The dog got closer and bit his shirt and started pulling him a certain direction.

He was very certain where the dog was taking him but it seemed he had been waiting for him. The dog lead him throughout the house, whenever they would pass one of his toys the dog would stop and pick it up and play with it for a few seconds before continung on. This whole ordeal still wasn't as wierd as the house with all the notes on it. Hopefully this dog was leading him to the garden and not more toys. But alas he was correct and the dog lead him to the backyard.

Once they were both outside the dog simply sat near the shade and laid down looking at Kisuke. He nodded at the dog as if speaking some unknown langauge and beggan to work. This place had even less weed the other other houses. Well he meant that by the weeds were short. The owner must mow regularly, but he didn't have time to pull the weeds? Well he couldn't really judge someones situation so it wasn't his place. He finished up pulling all the weeds in the garden as the dog walked up to him and handed him his mission coupon which was in his mouth. Kisuke thanked the dog and headed off.

But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at. 3 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Bug Street. Who names a streets bug Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 3, he went up to the door and knocked on it. He could hear some yelling coming from inside the house and it got closer to the door. He was prepared for anything. Well a couple opened the door for him and they weren't yelling at all. In fact they had some wide smiles on thier face. Obviously they were fake because he had just heard them screaming at the top of thier lungs a few seconds ago.

The let him in as they thanked him for coming over and helping them out, they both lead him through the house. It was kind of a mess, there was clothes on the ground and the dishes seemed to be dirty. But the pictures they had hanging on the wall seemed to show that they were very happy. But the tension around them was all he needed to know that it wasn't like that. They led him to the backyard which surprisingly wasn't a mess and showed him his working area. He bowed to them and got to work.

As the doors shut behind him and he began to pull the weeds he could hear more yelling and shouting from inside. It was kind of embarrassing for two people to be yelling so much when they had someone in thier house doing work. But he guessed it wasn't his problem as he pulled the weeds from the gardem. Other than the fact that they had weeds the garden seemed very well maintained and had beautiful flowers. The neighbor was also trimming one of his plants by the fence near kisuke and she could also hear the yells. She got his attention and handed him a flower. He was confused at the time but then knew what to do. He had finished the weeds and he went back into the house. They had stopped yelling and were not facing each. He walked over to the male and explained he had finished that was when he sighed and thanked him and gave him his coupon. At this point Kisuke put the flower in his hand and pushed him towards his wife bumping into her. At first she was mad about that but then she saw the flower and her expression totally changed. Kisuke took this as the moment to leave, he didn't hear anymore yelling from the house.

Kisuke began walking towards the house that he needed to locate to start his next mission. He was going to do another mission where he does yard work for some people in the village. But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at. 4 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Tree Street. Who names a streets Tree Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 4, he went up to the door and knocked on it. A fat sweaty nerd was the one to open the door this time, he was really sweaty and it wasn't even that hot inside his house. What could he have possibly been doing? He walks inside and notices that there is garbage everywhere. Even the house with the struggling couple wasn't this bad. Literally full bags of garbage just sitting there. His nose could barely handle the smell.

The guy seemed to ignore all of it as he walked him through the house, kisuke didn't even know how this guy owned this house if it looked like he never went outside. The guy just suddenly started making small chat with him, mostly talking about himself and his hobbies. It seemed he didn't work for a living he just played games all day. What type of games he didn't know but they definately weren't the outdoors kind. The guy finally got the the back of his house.

He found the background to be emaculate, what is with all these homeowner and have perfect backyards but they don't want to pull some weeds!?!!? He sighed as he got to work on the weeds. There was alot of them too, it seemed this guy waited till the last moment to hire someone to take care of these. He also vanished into the house once Kisuke got outside. Not like it mattered he would do his job and move on. After he was done pulling all the weeds Kisuke went inside looking for the employer. He found him ina room talking to a pillow with a face on it. He slowly backed away and went downstairs, waited about 2 minutes before calling out again. He heard some noise from above as the boy came downstairs with his mission coupon. Kisuke thanked him and got out of there as soon as possible.

Kisuke began walking towards the house that he needed to locate to start his next mission. He was going to do another mission where he does yard work for some people in the village. But as always he was having trouble finding the spot he was going to work at. All these houses kind of looked the same as the one he was just at. 5 was the house number he was looking for and it was on Long Street. Who names a streets long Street?

He finally found the street he was looking for , the number he was looking for was coming up very soon. There we go number 5, he also wondered for a second why all these house were suddenly in the single digits. He went up to the door and knocked on it. A butler opened the door the house this time, the house wasn't even that nice and they had a butler??? He addressed him formally and invited him into the home. He offered him all sorts of drinks or refreshments.

Kisuke politely declined because he was here to simply complete his job. The butler nodded as he led him to the area. When they arrived it wasn't a backyard or garden it was a greenhouse. The thing was huge, who the hell just owns a green house in thier backyard? The butler walked him inside and should him a larger area than normal. He said that was the area he would be doing for today. He was relieved he didn't have the entire green house to work on. The butler told him if he needed anything to just ring the bell and he would be here.

Kisuke thanked the butler as he began his work, this wasn't too bad. At least in the green house the sun was semi blocked and they are alot of vegetation that blocked the rest so it wasn't too hot while he was pulling the weeds. The ones in this green house seemed to have tougher routes than in the other places. Maybe whatever they were giving the plants made the weeds stronger as well. He had to put both his and his back into it to get it to yank out. Once he was done he was a bit thirsty so he called the butler with the bell. He arrived with his mission coupon and something to drink. Which surprised Kisuke because how woould he know that he finished and he was thirsty. He gussed he was simply just one hell of a butler as he handed him his coupon and kisuke thanked him and left the area to go to the hotsprings.

Kisuke had picked up another mission, this time around he was heading to a restaurant. Apparently some people had gotten sick so they called out which left the staff short. He was going to be filling in for them. He arrived at the restaurant he was going to be filling for. This was a restaurant that served burgers. He had been here before with fang because they were dog friendly.
He walked in and looked for the manager, he asked the host to let him know he was there to help with a shift. The host paged the manager and after a few minutes he had come out. The manager greeted him and thanked him for coming out on such short notice. Kisuke told him it was no problem, he enjoyed coming to this place so he was glad to help.
The manager did that he explained some procedures and greeting so he would do well out with the customers. Kisuke memorized the important ones and finished changing he showed him where everything was and sent him off because his shift was starting. They first gave him three customers to see how he could handle it. It was two elderly woman, a mother with children, and two teenagers.
He went up to the elderly woman and greeted her and asked what she would like. She asked if she could get a coffee and a slice of pie. It seemed she wasn't there for a burger. Kisuke smiled and said no problem as he wrote the order. She thanked him as he headed to the next customer. He followed the same procedure.

The mother seemed to be having some trouble controlling the kids who were each complaining about what they wanted. Kisuke had luckily brought with him some coloring books and crayons for the kids and they quieted down to draw. She smiled and thanked him as she ordered food in peace. Kisuke smiled as he took the order and moved on.

The two teens looked up at him as he greeted them, the male ordered and he was pretty monotone about it. Two burgers, fries and milkshakes. Kisuke smiled and took the order as he went back to the kitchen to drop the tickets off. The drink came out and Kisuke carried them all to his customers quickly and effeciently. As he waited for the food he kept an eye on the drink levels. refilling the old ladies coffee and the mothers kids waters. The teens didn't get refills on shakes but he checked in on them anyways. The food came out and they ate and the old lady thanked him and gave him one hundred ryo. He thanked her deeply as she headed out. The mother had gave him a nice fifty ryo tip for the help controlling the kiddos. And the teens left nothing. great.
6/6

Kisuke began cleaning the tables of his customers, they weren't that messy so the clean up wasn't bad, first he stacked the plates on the tray. He wiped down the table and dried it. Made sure everything looked neat and he moved onto the next table. It seemed the kids had made a little more of a mess. Ketchup on the seats and table, spilled water. He wiped it all up and cleared it.
The teens thankfully didn't leave that much of a mess. He cleared the table and wiped it real quick and dropped the dishes off withthe dishwasher. As he was about to head out the manager stopped him. It seemed he had miss judged the rush hour and they were still busy. If he decided to stay he would offer him another mission basically. Kisuke agreed and the manager thanked him again.
Even though it wasn't neccessary because he was getting paid and getting tips so the compensation was more than enough, this time around the manager was looking for a uniform that he had forgotten to give him originally. He asked him what size he wore and Kisuke told him small. Since he was still a bit young and his training made him toned the smaller sizes fit him best.
They gave him three customers again to help, hopefully he had some nice ones like last time. He checked his tables and sat a young couple maybe mid 20's, a Older man with a young girl appearing to be his daughter. And single male sitting at a table. He went up to the couple and greeted them, they knew what they wanted and was ready to order. He took the order and dropped it off at the counter before continuing.
The older man let the daughter order, she wanted a shake and large fries. He then told her to order some real food with that or no shake. She gave him a face as she order a plain cheeseburger. He had a bacon burger. Arriving at the solo young male Kisuke greeted him, he looked a bit nervous. He only asked for a water and then remained quite. Kisuke smiled and said no problem as he dropped off the tickets. As the drinks appeared he dropped them off one at a time. He reached the young male and set the water down.
Asking him if he was ready to order, he became more nervou as he mumbled that he was waiting for someone. It then clicked, he was waiting for his date and she was late. Uh oh...maybe he's getting stood up? That's never a good feeling Kisuke smiled though and said no problem as he walked back. The food arrived for the other two and he dropped it off at thier tables. He checked on the boy again and he looked pretty sad. He decided he would have a burger to go. Kisuke could see some pain it was pretty bad. As Kisuke tried to comfort him he could hear a quick flurry of footsteps behind him. He turned to reveal a girl who seemed out of breath. The young male face brightened ten times. He assumed this was the date, once she caught her breath she asked if he had ordered yet. The boy looked at Kisuke as Kisuke looked at him and then her. Hiding his notepad with his order Kisuke lied and said no. She smiled and apologiezed for her lateness. They ordered and ate and had a good time. All his customers left fifty ryo tips and he was glad for the boy. He cleaned the tables and saw that it was beginning to die down so he began to leave after checking out with the manager. As he exited the manager told him A restaurant owner friend down the street also needs help, they have a lot of parties scheduled so some of the servers are dedicated to those parties and they need someone for the other folk.

6/6

Kisuke nodded in agreement with the manager as he told him where the location of the restaurant is. It seemed that this place was a sushi restaurant, they were usually busier later in the day he supposed because people would be getting off work and going to meet with friend and such. He arrived at the restaurant and it was about the same size as the burger joint he just went to.
He entered and saw some huge crowds gathered at single tables, these parties really were huge. A short man approached him as he entered. He was apparently the manager friend of the other guy. He confirmed if he was there to help and Kisuke nodded. He smiled as he thanked him for showing up right after two shifts somewhere else.

Kisuke was a bit tired, but he also really needed money so he guessed he could just die young from overwork. The manager rushed him into the back and tossed an apron and a hat toward him. Kisuke quickly put the had on his head and the apron around his body. He let him know that he should greet each customer with a bow, which Kisuke practiced for a bit. He let him know what the lunch specials are and gave him a little cheat sheet to help.

Like the other place they had given him three tables. First was a table with two young women, they seemed professionally dressed. Probably hear after work just to unwind and have some sushi. The next table was two dudes who's line of worked appeared to be alot rougher then the women. Thier arms covered in some kind of dirt, but it seemed like they washed thier hands. And thier clothes had dark smudges everywhere.
The last table was a elderly man sitting alone, Kisuke went up to him first to take his order. It seemed he was fairly familiar with the menu and ordered a dragon roll and a sunshine roll, along with some olong tea. Kisuke nodded as he placed the order. The two women were a bit indesicive about what they wanted. They kept asking each other what they each wanted but couldn't decide. Kisuke asked if they wanted a little more time but they couldn't even make a desicion about that. Kisuke said he'll bring them some water to give them more time as he left to the next table.

The two men seemed happy to see Kisuke as they ordered 4 sake bombs before getting food. They also ordered a large bottle of sapporo and 4 different rolls. Kisuke nodded and placed the order. He dropped off the waters with the women and checked to see if they had finally decided. They did and ordered 3 crab rolls and some edemame. Kisuke thanked them and placed the order. The tea came first and it was hot so he carefully placed it on the old mans table. And despite his warning the old man took a drink and was unaffected by the heat. He dropped the sake off with the men who immiediately started chanting 'sake bomb, sake bomb" as they down the drinks. The food came out the customers ate and then they left . Except the old man, who simple sat there drinking his tea.
6/6

As Kisuke was cleaning off the tables so that more customers would be able to sit down he noticed theold man was still sitting there. He hadn't asked for his check or anything and Kisuke didn't want him to feel pressured to leave so he just let him sit there and checked up on him every now and then. He asked the coworker about him and he said he came in all the time and would sit at the table for quite a while.
Kisuke nodded and just accepted the man would be there, he seemed fairly nice. He currently didn't have a customer so he walked over to talk to him. THe old man told him he had been coming to this place for years now because the tea was so good. That made Kisuke smile to see such loyalty over the tea.
Two customer were then seated at the table and Kisuke stood thanked the man for the talk and said he would be right back. The old man smiled and waved him off understanding he had to help the other customers.
One table was just a single guy but he didn't seem nervous hopefully it didn't turn out bad like the other kid he helped at the burger joint but that ended up good. And one table was a single girl. He walked up to the guy who ordered a beer and a dragon roll to start. He nodded and thanked him as he placed the order.
He walked up to the girl bowed as greeted her. She asked him if there were any specials going on, Kisuke looked at his cheat sheet and told her the specials. She noticed the sheet and giggled asking him if this was his first day. He let her know he was just temping for them at the moment because they were busy. She nodded and decided to order one of the specials he mentioned. He wrote it down and placed the order.
The drinks arrived for the two different tables, he served them to the boy and the girl. It seemed like they were both going solo that day. He wondered why they didn't talk to each other or something. He then had a idea, when he had the food ready he then placed the wrong food on each table. When he was about to leave the both spoke up. He had switched the food he apologiezed and picked up the dishes and made it know who they belong to. The two looked at each and and waved, made jokes about stealing each others food. After a little the male had switched tables and the left together. Leaving him a nice tip, when he cleaned up the tables and looked over for the old man he was also gone. It seemed he was to proccupied and missed him. But the old man had given him a nice tip as well.

6/6

Kisuke had returned the next day to fill in more restaurants, it seemed some kind of sickness was going aroun because it seemed alot of people were getting sick and it's not just a plot device to have Kisuke do more of these missions which give more ryo than any of the other stupid missions in this god damn village.
Well, he continued walking along looking for the bqq place that had posted the job, some other places had also had a job opening but at different times. So he would work as much as he could here before moving on to the next one. He was finally able to locate the restaurant he was going to be working at. It was called Roadhogs BQQ, sounded really delicious and the inside of the store smelled even greater.
He went to the host upfront and asked to see the manager, the guy smiled at him and nodded as he pushed a button. A few seconds later a rather large man came out of the back room. He had a pony tail and was wearing a gasmask on his face which he didn't bother to remove. Apparently he was the manager and the headchef.
He thanked Kisuke for coming in to help, he quickly found him a uniform which he could wear but it didn't fit him at all. It seemed more for someone his size. He gave him the menu and it was pretty short and sweet. Let him know what the specials are and where they are located. If he needed anything he just needed to ask. They gave him his area and quickly seated three single people in each one. It was a bit wierd but it was three guys.
He went up to one and greeted him and ask if he wanted something to drink. He said he was ready and ordered, as he was heading out the other man called him as well. Telling him he was ready and ordered the same thing as the first gentlemen. It then happened again with the third. He thought it was super weird. As he put the orders up he ask the manager what was up.

He told him they had put out some coupons for a discount off a single meal, and the coupons can't be used with others in a party. So people have been coming in with groups and seating seperately to get around it. Next time he said he wasn't going to listen to his marketing guy. Kisuke asked if he wanted him to do anything about it. He shook his head and said let them enjoy thier supposed cunning. Kisuke nodded and served them thier food and then they left.

Kisuke walked over to the tables to start cleaning them, first he needed to check for his tip because that was the basis of the his money for this job. He went and grabbed 50 ryo from each table and began to clean them off. It wasn't that hard since it was only one person at each table. He found it pretty funny they would go to such lengths just to get a discount from this place.
At least it meant he had such loyal fans to go through the hassel just to eat thier food cheaper. Kisuke finished cleaning his tables and he brought all the dishes to the back for the dishwasher. The manager told him to keep up the good work and Kisuke nodded at him. Happy he was able to make everything work out alright.

As Kisuke exited the kitchen area he noticed his seats had been filled around, which the same exact situation as before. Except this time it was three women sitting at different tables. All alone, he sighed and smirked as he walked up to the first lady. She was a bit more indesicive about her meal and just ordered a water to begin with. The second lady was ready for what she was going to eat but decided to not order just yet and also ask for a water.

The third lady was also not ready, asking Kisuke to put in a order for water and to get back to her in a couple minutes. Kisuke nodded as he headed to get thier waters. The manager looked out the kitchen and saw the group. More of them? He asked Kisuke as he smirked and nodded. Kisuke then began filling up the glasses with water carefully. His worst nightmare would be to literally drop something and have it splat everywhere.

With the glasses filled up he went over to the ladies and dropped down thier water and returned to the first one. She was finally ready to order and she ended up going with a nice rib dinner. He took the menu from the lady and moved on to the next. She was also ready no surprise there as she ordered the boneless rib dinner. That was a bit easier to eat and less messy so he wasn't surprised she ordered that either. After taking the menu from her he moved to the next girl.
She was also was ready and ordered a pulled pork sandwhich, Kisuke nodded and set the orders in all at the same time, it was obvious that they were waiting for each other to be ready. Kisuke refilled thier waters as they waited. When the ordered came up he served them each thier food. They began to dig in and talk to each other. After they were done they thanked Kisuke and paid thier bill and left thier tips. He thanked them and cleaned everything up before talking a break.

6/6

Kisuke was taking a small break in the employee lounge, this kind of thing was tough. Waiting hand and foot on people so they can make up thier minds on what they want to eat. He sat thier waiting on his manager to call to him telling him that his break was over. But he had a couple more minutes left, he stood up incase he fell asleep on the job. He wondered what fang was doing with the original at the moment. The class with Taka was probably over by now, they probably went to eat.
As he was thinking that his manager called him, his break was up and it was time for him to get back to work. He nodded and said he was on his way, he put his uniform back on and headed out. His manager pointed to him at his corner and saw some more customers seated there. This time around he had a normal family of two adults and two children. The children seemed pretty well mannered because they weren't make a huge fuss or anything.
Kisuke walked up to the table to take thier order. The father was the first to speak, he wanted a steak, medium well. With mashed potatoes on the side and also asparagus. The mother then spoke up and she was going to order some pork chops with a side salad. She then ordered for the two kids as well. They each were getting the mini bbq sandwhich with fries and a drink. He got the drink orders as well and dropped them off at the kitchen.
The second group he had seemed to be a group of academy teacher, and what was worse is that he recognized a few of them. He walked up with a smile and said hello. They were all very happy to see Kisuke, they asked him how he was. They also made some jabs about his current mission, though they remmebered when they had to do silly missions like that. After the catch up they all knew what they were ordering. They each ordered the bbq pulled pork plate with various different sides and soda.
He thanked them for thier patronage and went to the counter to place thier order. The last person was a single guy, he looked a little shady but Kisuke went to him. The guy was quiet when Kisuke greeted him. He simply nodded and ordered what he wanted. Kisuke said alright and placed his order. At this point he collected all the drinks for his customers and brought them to the tables. The family had ordered lemonade, tea, two water and two sodas. His old group of teachers all ordered coke. And then the last guy had a glass of water.

Kisuke then headed back the counter, his food was almost ready for his customers. He just watched his customers interact with each other. Then the food was ready for all of them, with his training he was able to carry them all for his customer. Placing them on the tables near them, he first served the family. Placing thier meals in front of them Kisuke bowed and said enjoy. He then moved over to his teachers and served them thier meals. Luckily he got all of the variations correct. He then served the last guy at the end, he thanked him for his patience and left. They all ate and then left. He picked up his tips.

Kisuke was wondering how people survived these shifts, he would actually be hoping to be in a fight to the death instead of doing these missions. His boss called out to him and said his break was over again, he didn't know how long he had been here. He did know that he needed the money though so there was no way he could just stop. And the boss was pretty cool a slave driver but still cool. Hopefully when he stops by next time he gives him a discount.
Kisuke exited out the break room and looked over at his tables, they were full now so he walked over to them and bowed to the first table as he asked them what they would like to eat in a cheerful manner. It was a group of girls, they all asked for boneless ribs, he guessed because it was easier for them to eat it without getting messy. He then took down thier drink orders and thanked them as he went to put the order into the kitchen.
As he arrived at the next table it was a someone from the Inuzuka clan with his partner. He was pleasantly surprised to see Kisuke working there. He asked him how everything was going for him, and that he hadn't seen him around the Inuzuka kennels in a while. Kisuke laugh and said they are working him like a dog which made the partner raise his ears and looked around. Both Inuzukas laughed it off as he ordered two steaks medium rare and waters. He took down the ordered and bowed to his senior Inuzuka clan member as he went to the kitchen to place the order.
At the next table he arrived he saw the senju crest on the mans shoulder. Kisuke bowed in greeting as he arrived and asked the gentleman if he was ready. The senju said yes and asked for a pulled pork sandwhich with extra extra bbq sauce and a coke on the side. That was a pretty direct order and a little surprising for someone of the senju clan. They just always tried to seem so dignified, seeing one of them eating a sloppy messy of bbq sauce would be hilarious.

Kisuke went back to the kitchen and put in the order for the last table. As he was doing that the drink orders for the girls came up. He placed them all on a tray and carried them over to the girls. They giggled as Kisuke arrived and started placing drink down for them. He asked if there was anything else and they shook thier heads and giggled some more. Kisuke returned to the kitchen and grabbed the waters for his clanmate. He had the bowl with him as well for the partner. He placed the glass on the table and then the bowl on the floor and poured the second glass into the bowl. He bowed and returned to the kithen for the third drink order.
Placing the coke on the table for the customer he stopped him and asked him to bring sauce on the side as well. Kisuke nodded with a smile and waited for the food to arrive. All the food arrived at the same time and Kisuke asked one of the bussers to assist. He carried the girls table and the busser carried the other two. Since the girls table was much larger. Arriving the girls seemed pretty happy to seem him. Though it was probably just the food as he placed everything down for them. The busser had served the other two and made sure the senju had extra sauce. They both backed up and bowed to the tables asking them to enjoy.
6/6

After they finished eating Kisuke said goodbye to the girls, the inzuka gave him a high five and the senju bowed slightly. He began clearing thier tables so that more customers could come sit down. Since he was earning based on the time as well he needed to take care of as many customers as possible to earn the most during his short window of time here. He carried all the plates back to the kitchen so that the dishwashers could start on them.
After placing them there he returned to the front and assisted someone with cleaning dishes, after dropping more dishes off he returned to see his tables were filled once again. He quickly headed over to the first table and bowed. Based off the light eyes and golden hair he assumed that this older couple was from the yamanaka clan. They nodded at him and smiled while looking at the menu. They decided they were going to share a rib with some fries. The yamanaka were always a little dainty. Kisuke smiled and took thier drink order and dropped it off at the kitchen.
He went to the next table and bowed and he didn't even have to assume anything, this guy was diffenately Uchiha. The black hair and eyes, and the bright read uchiha symbol stamped on his chest and shoulders and sleeves. We got it, your an edgelord uchiha. He was looking at the menu as he also ordered a pulled pork sandwhich with extra extra bbq sauce. Kisuke was a bit confused since the Uchiha ordered the same thing as the senju. Kisuke quickly regained compuse and nodded and smiled as he put the order into the kitchen.
At the last table he noticed a very pineappley look as he arrived, The man had a very calm stoic or bored look on his face. The wife seemed pretty happy. Ya this was pretty much a typical nara. She had probably forced him to come down and eat out and he thought this was a pain. He looked at the menu as his stomach growled, he cough a little to cover it up but it was too late. He quickly ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and the wife ordered half ribs. He took the drink orders and then took them to the kitchen.
a few minutes later the drinks for the first table arrived, for the yamanakas he had two sprites one with no ice and the other with ice. He asked if there was anything else he could do but they shook thier head. Kisuke moved onto the next customer the Uchiha who had ordered dr pepper ew. A drink thats color matched their dark hair and eyes and probably also his soul. The uchiha waved him off and the pineapples thanked him for thier drinks.
Once the moved arrived he carried the yamanakas food first and dropped it off at thier table, refilling thier drinks as needed. They were very nice. On the other hand the douche bag uchiha on the next table didn't say a word with Kisuke brought him the food and refilled his drink. Not like Kisuke was surprised, his mother always told him to stay away from the uchiha, they usually turnout to be bad news. The pineapple family were thankful for the food because it meant the man was that much closer to going home.

Kisuke waited for them to eat and finish, it would take quite a while to finish eating as they seemed to be taking thier time. He would check in on them every once in a while and refill thier drinks as needed. They didn't decide to have dessert in the end probably due to the massive portions of food this place serves to these people which is one of the reasons he likes to eat here. The uchiha was the first to leave and didn't leave a tip which wasn't surprising.
The others left shortly after and thier tips made up for the uchiha who didn't tip anything. Kisuke cleaned off the tables and put them all in the kitchen and went to the bathroom for a quick second. After he was done in the bathroom he washed his hands. Heading back out to the main floor he could hear alot of noise as he rounded the corner he faced his most challenging customer yet. Akamichi.
Yes, in all three of his tables sat many akamichi. They were all laugh and shouting which was kind of how they were for the most part. They had big personalities. Kisuke was a bit scared to go up to him in fear of them ordering the entire menu. He looked at his boss he motioned for him to go, he sighed and headed over and greeted all the Akamchi sense they seemed to be in a large group together it would make it easier for him to get it all at the same time.
He started with the first table and at once the orders started flying in. They went this and that with double helping of everything and extra blah blah blah. Kisuke was writing down everything as fast as he could and this was only the first table for him. He repeated back when he wrote down and the first table said that sounded pretty correct. They didn't even know what they had ordered in that frenzy.
He went to the next table and it was the same thing just worse. So many different orders and drinks and sides. He looked at his boss to help him but he was furiosuly cooking up everything on the menu becaue thats literally what they were ordering. He then hit the last table which seemed to be filled with the smaller akamichi. He hoped this would mean they would order less. Boy was he wrong, it seemed they had just gotten back from a mission and had spent alot of calories so they had to buulk back up. They ordered double what the second table ordered.
Kisuke walked back to the kitchen and handed the boss the many notes, luckily he had been playing the cooking by ear and had almost half of the food already prepared. Because he didn't want any akamichis to get hungry in his restaurant. Kisuke just brought them huge pitchers of water for each one with pitchers of sodas and other things. He then carried the plate and made many different trips for each table. He had gotten about half the orders out and the Akamichi were already blowing through the food.

6/6

He didn't know where they packed away all that food, they were easily eating more than thier own body weight in food. I mean that just doesn't even make sense from a logical standpoint. He kept rushing the food down to them like it was endless, at one point Kisuke just stopped thinking about what he was doing and just moved the food. It was a bit surprising that he even knew where to put it with so much food going everywhere.
And the akamichi continued to just eat everything in sight. Luckily they were not messy about it and tried to keep as much food in thier mouth. So they would eat and chew it all good then swallow before continuing to eat but it was still pretty hectic. At some point the food stopped flowing out of the kitchen, he looked into the area and found his boss resting on a chair from all the cooking he did.
The akamichi continued to pack away the food one after another. Kisuke noticed that dishes were piling up and in there way so he went over and cleared those off for them. He carried them all to the kitchen for the dish washers and they seemed ready, they had hot water, soap, all in a line to clean those dishes and put them away.
He left it with them since there was going to be so many more to come. He exited and found his boss still resting as the other cooks cooked. Kisuke asked if they were always like this, the boss nodded saying sometimes they come in even larger groups. He even has a extra meat fridge labeled akamichi in case they just decided to stop by in a pack and eat all the food.
But he said it was good for business, they eat alot so they pay alot. And though the waiters are dead tired about waiting on them they usually leave tips as if you served 3 or more customers. Kisuke nodded as he headed out to find more dishes had been piled up. He couldn't carry them all so he said he would be right back and went to the kitchen and dropped off the dishes then returned to take the other half of the dishes, but it seemed every time he went back more and more dishes were appearing on the tables for him to carry back.
It was like a never ending wave of dishes that were slowly but surely crushing his very soul until he had nothing left. Eventually the dishes stopped and the akamichi were sated. They thanked Kisuke for his great service and paid for everyone and left him a nice big tip. Kisuke body was ready to disentegrate at this point but he bowed and thanked them for thier patronage.
6/6

After that was over Kisuke sat on a chair to rest, this boss came up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. He told him that the worse was over. He only had enough time in his shift to take one more set of customers, so he told him to just push through this last bit and he would be free to leave again. Kisuke nodded and thanked the manager.
He mentally prepared himself to go out and face his customers, when he got to his tables it was three lone people. And he knew then all, one of them was this guy he knew named Jack Hughman. He walked over and said hello, it had been a while since they had seen each other and he was actually just stopping for lunch. He ran another small time sushi joint which made some pretty good calamari. He would go there once in a while because thier secret dipping suace was good too.
He asked Jack what he would like to eat and he let him know that he wanted to pork sausage plate with mashed potatoes and green beans. Kisuke nodded and asked for the drink as he wrote everything down. He dicided to go with the Fanta strawberry. He thanked Jack for stopping by and went to drop of the order. The next table was a girl he knew named Sadie Hur, she own a paragliding business. She would lead people on a hike up the hokage mountain and then paraglide down to a safe spot.
He had tried it before and it was actually pretty fun, He asked her what she wanted and she decided to go with a bbq chicken sandwhich. She always came own here to get one apparently. He asked what drink but she was gonna go with water only. He nodded and went to drop of the request to the kitchen. When he returned he went to the last time and there he saw Kiko, He didn't really know what she did,.

But she seemed to be the type that would stay awake late and do random things in the middle of the night. They caught up a little about how things were going while she was deciding on what to eat. In the end she decided to go with a steak dinner well done. And for her drink she was gonna have wine. Kisuke nodded and took the orders to the kitcchen as he got the drinks for the tables as well. He went and dropped off the drinks for the first two tables but the wine would take a little longer.
The wine arrived and he placed it in front of Kiko, then the food was ready as well so he picked up the first tables food and laid it down in front of his friend Jack. He thanked him and begun to dig in. He then went to the next table over in front of sadie and gave her the chicken sandwhich she ordered. With a grin and a thank you she began to eat. Kiko's steak was also ready and cooked perfectly. They all ate thier food and said good bye to Kisuke. He was finally free.

Of course being the good shinobi that he was, the young Senju headed to the crime scene and inspected the small shop which had several broken windows and holes constructed into the walls by force. Raichi spoke to the shop owner about the just what had happened and how, and was able to extract from him several possible suspects, some of which had bothered him for quite awhile. To him, they just seemed like misfits that needed to be taken care of. With a sigh, Raichi trailed after the suspects before catching sight of those that fit the description given. Or at-least to the best of his ability. There were some descepancies of course but it was to be expected. Besides, the kids were having a jolly good time and speaking a bit too loudly about their misdeeds. He landed behind them quietly and quickly knocked the three young boys out with his sick judo chops, glad that they weren't shinobi. After turning them in, Raichi started to make his way towards the Academy once more.
                                                                                  Investigation Crime Scene: Petty

Amber orbs scanned where the body of the store owner lay, trying to catch their breath. It seems they had had a scuffle with a ruffian and simply wished for the man to come back and apologize. He spoke to the first people he could find that verified they had been "on the scene". The witnesses had supposedly noticed that the store owner had some skin under his fingernails probably from scratching the assailant. They also happened to notice he had ripped a single button maybe off the attacker. Raichi asked if there were other potential witnesses due to the fishy detailed report but they said no, the store was about to close and everyone had left except the two of them and the store owner who was still partially in shock and couldn't tell them anything. With a sigh Raichi left went about the nearby streets, if the assailant had gotten in a fight with the store owner, he was probably still upset. Which probably meant he had was giving off some bad vibes and could be easily tracked. He also figured that when he got into scuffles he like to grab a drink to soothe himself after, so perhaps that's what this guy did. He went around to the bars asking if anyone lately had come in and bought a lot of drinks. One individual did so happen to come by earlier and purchased several rounds of beer. Raichi waited until the person came back from the bathroom and sat next to him at the counter. He looked at the mans hand; there were 3 scratch marks which could have been from the store owner's nails. The next Raichi took note of was a button was missing off his shirt. That was all he needed to make the decision to arrest the man and had a passing Jounin take the man into proper custody. After interrogation they indeed discovered he had a fight with store owner. Signing the mission off once more attempted to head to the Academy.
                                                                                  Investigation Crime Scene: Petty

Raichi headed to the crime scene and inspected the small, burned down shop. This was above his paygrade. At first glance it was obiously a felony which he wasn't allowed to look into. However, when he confronted the owner he was informed that the burning down of the shop was an accident on his end and completely unrelated to what the Senju was needed for. What charred remains of the building were left were covered in graffiti and obscene messages and threats. Upon seeing the new evidence Raichi begged to differ and was about to go and look for a superior shinobi to deal with this but the shopkeep insisted that it wasn't anything like that. Getting annoyed Raichi insisted the shopkeep get on with the real reason he was called over and was able to extract from him that someone had stolen his dog statue that sat outside the shop's door. Theft was a grey area. It could be a petty crime, or it could be a felony. Seeing as no real harm or intent to harm had been commited, he decided to treat this as a petty theft. To the shopkeep, the one he suspected of stealing the statue seemed like a hooligan that needed to be taken care of. Amber orbs peered back down to the charred grafiti. With a frown, Raichi began to scout the way that other shop owners said they said the man carrying the statue. The suspect hadn't gotten all that far, so it didn't take long before Raichi had caught sight of the man described who was hunched over a golden dog statue and out of breath. To put emphasis on his being there, Raichi leapt into the air and landed beside the man. Upon seeing Raichi's headband the man turned pale and began to plead for forgiveness. Raichi sighed and dragged both the man and the statue back to the shop. The hooligan beggeg for forgiveness which he was rewarded with, but a nearby Jounin still took him into lockup. Raichi was finished here.
                                                                                  Investigation Crime Scene: Petty

What was with people and taking animals and animal related objects today? Couldn't they just stop so he could get to the Academy on time!? Calming himself down, Raichi listened closely to the woman's description of what the men looked like before heading out on yet another patrol. He scowered the streets before arriving at the front of a bar and seeing the men which the lady had spoken of in front of it. Well, all but the one with the dog. With fists clenched, Raichi marched over to them and looked at them dead in the eye with as much of a "I'm gonna kill you" face as he could. They paused and took one look at him before bursting out in laughter. Big mistake. With a growl, Raichi demanded the dog and the man who had took it. They laughed, he laughed, they stopped, he didn't. What came next needed to be graphically cencored. After the deed had been done the battered and bruised hooligans informed Raichi that their leader and the dog were inside the bar. He glared at the man to his left before bursting into the bar to come face to face with your average looking tough guy. The guy took notice of Raichi and his headband and then his two palls outside. His face ran blue and he tried to just hand the dog over but Raichi dragged him all the way back to the woman and forced the man to grovel at her feet. The woman was shocked and wasn't sure how to handle it so she simply accepted her dog back and got another shinobi with a vest to come and take the man away.

Konoha's security wasn't at all lax, so he couldn't find a reason for it and blamed man's cruelty. Simple as that. Raichi currently was doing his very best to assure another civilian woman that he would personally catch whoever was responsible for trying to stalk her. With a sigh, the poor little Genin gathered information from the angry woman before going to inspect around. He followed any leads he could find in regards to people creeping about windows looking for them juicy shots before finally being able to trail his top suspect, a regular looking man. Who would have guessed. He held a crooked composure and a fearful gaze which he tried to hide. Raichi then caught sight of something he was trying to hide under his jacket, a camera! His personal choice in weaponry when going into battle for gravure shots. Raichi jumped down from whatever roof he was on because he could be and landed mostly silently behind the man before tapping on his shoulder. The man turned around and realized that the jig was up. They sighed in unision and began the adventure of looking for a higher up shinobi to take him in. They found one and he was arrested. Raichi then went back to the woman and told him of what had happened before leaving and continuing on his attempt to get to the Academy on time. [exit]

Once per post, the user may use a single D-Rank or lower technique from this Style without paying the cost.
[•] The practitioner, already acquainted with many techniques in the style, has finally realized that with a little bit of personal training, they are able to increase the precision and speed at which they lift and press their feet. The practitioner's footsteps are rendered silent to all who do not have enhanced hearing, and the footsteps they leave in soft ground are shallow. This not only assists their ability to sneak up on people faster and quieter, but also helps when running from trackers.
[•] The practitioner has developed an even greater sense of precision and is now able to throw, juggle, and catch their knives by the tip with ease. Additionally, some projectiles, such as shuriken or kunai, can be caught by their tip. Confers a slight increase to the user's reflexes.

Hanako had exited the hot springs and began walking down the streets of Konoha. She sighed slightly, tugging on the end of her kimono sleeve. What should she do now? She wasn't aware of any missions yet. Maybe she should go look for one...

She looked up at the sky for a moment in thought as she continued walking to who knows where. Her mind wandered back to her previous thoughts in the hot springs, hovering there for a moment, wondering about the subject of those thoughts.

She gave an almost audible sigh as she continued on aimlessly.

Masoto Kurigama - Multi-village Courier -

The youthful Kurigama walked through Konoha, whistling a tune to himself, the bag on his back full with letters and packages. Possibly the fastest Shinobi around excluding the kage's, he was damn good at his job. Give him a name and the photo of a person and he'd find them in no time. Approaching the snow-haired maiden, he rose his hand up, an envelope in hand already. "Hide-san, there's a letter for you. Looks like it's from...the land of lightning. Someone must've paid quite the fee to get this your way, here ya go." He said, holding out his hand, offering the message. "No tip needed." He added with a grin, just to avoid any discomfort. She looked young, and the younger ones generally didn't have much extra ryo to waste with their life as Shinobi just starting out.

Hanako was startled out of her daze as a voice called to her. She blinked before looking upon the courier, "Oh? A letter from the Land of Lightning?" She accepted the letter with a confused expression. She didn't know anyone from there...

She bows to the courier and places a rose bloom in his hand with a warm smile, "Thank you for your service, Kurigama-san." The scent of the bloom wafted gently in the air, sweetening it with its soft scent.

Masoto Kurigama - Multi-village Courier -

He could tell from the confusion on her face that she must've not known who it was from. He got ones like that plenty of times, and from what he could tell they were usually village transfer requests or secret missions appointed by the kage. Still, it wasn't his business so he didn't poke his nose in her case. She bowed to him then and offered a rose bloom, which he took. It wasn't ryo, but he appreciated whatever sweet gestures he got.. It was too often that people just took messages and said goodbye, the occasional "thank you" often reminded him of why he took his job in the first place. Her soprano voice was soothing to the ears, her beauty alone actually striking. He grinned a bit and shook his head. "No problem, Hide-san. Lemme tell you, you're gonna make a guy feel really lucky one day." He said playfully, a small laugh leaving his lips as he left for his other deliveries.

The Courier's words spread a blush across Hanako's cheeks,
"Oh, sir, you flatter me. I appreciate your kind words.." She looked upon him sheepishly, "But I'm afraid there is no one in this village like that at this time." She bowed to him as he left, leaving her with the unopened letter.

She looks upon it and decides to go home for now.

This time, as the woman approached she stopped in the street, seeing broken glass on the ground outside of the window on the lowest floor of the business, which appeared to be one that doubled as both a bar and a home for the people above it. As she initially stepped inside the business, she was surprised to see no one else had yet arrived, and the owner, looking furious, was counting money in the back room. "Hi, I'm Kya with the Konoha Shinobi Forces. There was a break in, I'm assuming." The man, easily in his late fifties, turned and leveled a frustrated gaze like that of an angry hawk on her. Kya, naturally, was unphased. "Yes, as you can see. But, for whatever reason, it would appear they only stole the recipe for my special Cherry Apple Pie Moonshine. That goes back 11 generations of hard working alcoholics!" Kya could see the man had kept track of all of his money, and was measuring each bill to ensure he wasn't missing anything. She sighed and moved to the window, not caring much for the man's attitude but glad that he'd given her something to go on. At a glance, it looked like the window had been smashed as a means of entry, but there was a lot more glass scattered on the side walk than in the booth behind it which suggested someone had broken it from inside, rather than out. She flared her nostrils, catching the smell of alcohol as the man popped open a bottle of his special brand Moonshine. "Where did the break in happen?" Kya asked, suddenly developing an idea. "Are you kidding me? It happened right there!" Kya shook her head. "It definitely did not. The glass... it shattered from inside. Where were you last night?" Kya asked looking to the outside again and seeing no blood or anything to suggest someone had punched or jumped through. "Am I a suspect for breaking into my own BAR?" Kya didn't even flinch at his town, but she did meander over to look him over. He smelled like he hadn't yet washed up. "Where do you keep the formula for this alcohol?" The man turned, and Kya sighed as he bent over to fiddle with the key on his ring and open the cabinet. By the time he turned around, she'd plucked the recipe from his back pocket and deduced he got drunk and forgot it was there. On her way out, she found a shoe. Likely his that he'd thrown through the window in his drunken stupor. She left it behind on the desk, and disappeared in a huff of annoyed movement.

                                                                    Kya Holmes 1

The next investigation looked to able to prove more challenging for the young would be detective. This was grunt work, sure, but Kya was as of yet a grunt and Jashin would put her on the right path when such a time came that she was ready for it. For now, she stopped at a cart that looked as though several angry polar bears had decided to vent their frustrations on it. Kya, ever the analytic, narrowed her eyes and observed all of the indents and broken, splintered wood that comprised it's now destroyed form. If she had to guess, there were bats involved. "Sorry to hear about your cart. Kya Uchiha with the Shinobi Forces. Take it from the top?" The man, frail and feeble, turned on her wit a gloom in his eye that almost set Kya spiraling into depression as well. Her lips sealed shut as he spoke, and her body language remained impassive. "I don't know who could have done this. I was busy working when a bunch of thugs came up and started harassing me I didn't know what to do besides tell them to ******** off, but that only served to piss em off more. I couldn't see their faces, they had on masks like a bunch of damn clowns or geisha and whatever else." Kya narrowed her eyes. Gangs around her were always so stupid in her opinion. "Alright, I have a general idea based on that of what this was. Gang initiation most likely. I'll take it from here." The man nodded, gave his thanks, and watched as Kya went to put a stop to them. Untrained thugs who had never finished the academy didn't serve as very much of a challenge. Kya was slow in sheathing the weapon, and though the Sharingan hadn't yet popped open, she seemed to stare at them with the same level of clarity. Blood rushed from wounds on their bodies, one of them moresot han the rest. They would live long enough for the police force to come apprehend them, and they would never forget her face, or the brutality that she had attacked with.

                                                                    Kya Holmes 2

Kya was lucky enough to be told of a robbery in progress as she was on her way back to the precinct to solve more petty requests and crimes. She joined in the police forces on their way to go and handle the crime, keeping up with the other shinobi via roof tops, wires and otherwise acrobatics. When they arrived, however, the criminal was gone, and they were left to examine the scene of the crime. THe first thing she did was shut off the alarm that was going off inside of the building so she could hear her own thoughts as they were caught up in the storm of her observational skills. She took it all in, the foot prints, mud from the lawn they'd sprinted over on their way in. The door was knocked almost completely off the hinges with a solid boot print. The alarm was a mixture of a silent and loud one which had alerted the precinct mere seconds after his foot made contact. She followed his path, seeing he made a direct line up the stairs. She hoped to god this wasn't going to be a repeat of earlier in the week. Sure enough, however, he had thrown a dagger through the wall of the homeowner's wall, just above the bed. Thrown, she guessed, because it was only barely through the wall. On the handle, a Jashinist symbol. "Yo, we need to find the owner of this home post haste!" she called following the footsteps with a hurried pace. Now it was a hunt to find whoever was behind the break in. He'd went out the back window in the bathroom, leaving blood from an arm wound behind, and Kya was out the same way he went. She rolled as she landed, seeing drops of blood leading away. That much bloodloss, he was sure to be slowing down. She elected to follow it, keeping above ground but not too high through the neighborhood. She just barely had time to dodge when a pair of knives sailed past her head. She saw the assailant in the backyard of someone's home, turning to run again but barely able to get over a fence before Kya had hounded him. Her knee hit the back of his leg and an elbow hit his temple. Now she'd finally caught someone in the act of declaring someone marked for death, and she felt so conflicted about it. Still, an assassin, performing this rite, shouldn't be so sloppy, with blood literally leaking from his arm after a failed insertion. She frowned, deciding that this assassin wasn't worth her time and waiting for the police to come and take him in, rather than ending his life herself. For some reason, however, he smirked when he saw her however.

Of Mice, Men and Gods II 1

By the time Kya arrived at the station, the Jashinist she'd captured had only given his name, and a request. He was called Kharda, and from what Kya could tell, he wasn't particularly nervous. In fact, he wasn't even close to bothered. Kya was a little off put by that but maintained her nerve as she walked into the room where he was chained to the table, smiling at her. "You wanted to see the prophet, as you call me?" she began, already trying to be intrusive. He opened his mouth, showing somewhat sharp teeth and a long, vicious tongue. "I did. Hello, Prophet of Jashin. I was so hoping I'd have time to prepare before you caught on to the trail, but now that I am here it's only a matter of time before the ninja interrogators forced information out of me, so instead I'll give you something for free." Kya was undaunted by the offer, remaining in complete stillness. "The man you saved, Tretji. He told you of his family, slaughtered and turning to Jashinism, blahzay blahzay blah?" Kya interrupted. "He was lying." Pieces began coming together for the man, weather he was lying or not. She, however, quieted her mind as he went on. "I have no reason to lie to you, Prophet. That man has deceived you, and I am prepared to prove it." The man smiled as Kya seemed to narrow her eyes at him. "How can you prove anything?" The man smiled that nasty smile noce more, making Kya dislike the entire idea of being religious at all. "He found the dagger in his safe. This I know because I was the one who had the idea. This is not how one becomes marked for death. It was all a ploy to get you to believe him. A ploy to throw the scent off of himself before it could get to him." The young Uchiha couldn't discount the oddity of the accusation. "Why would he go through all of that as opposed to simply trashing his own place and reporting some money stolen or something? And throw off what scent?" A guttural laugh echoed through the room. "He is behind it all, and a master mind. He holds a world of influence beyond what you are capable of understanding. The man who you foiled was not making an attempt on his life, but rather an attempt to appease him through a plan to get him into prison. Unfortunately, he is now dead, as I am soon to be. Unlike me, he was killed thinking he took the fall for a greater good. Instead, he was stabbed to death by a man who had no real reason to do so." Kya Swallowed, hard, and then closed her eyes. {b]"So, why cosign your own destruction?" "Because, little girl, in doing so, I gave you the means to become greater. To reach your destiny. Go now, I have nothing more to say. Relay the information, or don't. I do not care." She narrowed her eyes and leveled a question at him anyway. "You know my parents, don't you?"

Of Mice and Men II Fin

After what she reported to the police force, Kya was told she needed to go back to the beat and solve some easier crimes. Something less likely to end with her getting killed. it was with a heavy heart that she stood over a buschel of smashed up pumpkins. She paid almost no attention to the man who recited the story of waking up to the sound of splatters and childrens laughter. She, honestly, was only interested at this point in finding tracks, or something left behind that could clue her in to where her prey had gotten to. She kneeled down next to the cart, just outside the man's home at the end of the street, running over every fine detail she could get her eyes on. Naturally, the kids were idiots, and had used their shoes to stomp them in. From that she could ballpark a shoe size, and with that information she could identify who's foot it was. After taking down the measurement, she follwoed the trail of pumpkin, difficult to see admittedly, on the path they took. Turns out, the trail was lost at in the bustle of the day. They were out nlong before rush hour, and that meant these were children. That much she gathered from foot prints. A twenty minute land hop put her at the not-ninja academy she had gone to at a somewhat old age. A quick conversation with the teacher and a grim expression from Moody Blues and the teacher put the fear of death itself into them, which was fitting considering the symbol of jashin was hidden inside of a black shirt. Suffice it to say that the culprits ratted themselves out not long after Kya demanded it. One down for the day, one long day to go.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day - 1

So the first hour of her day had been very... uneventful unfortunately for the girl who was craving action desperately. Instead of lash out at nothing, Moody Blues let her mood work itself out in exasperated facial expressions and claims that Jashin had abandoned her repeated over and ove rin her own head. A half an hour passed by the time she arrived at the sight of another petty theft. "So... you keep your prized Cow in a pen with a broken gate... and you think someone stole it." The man gave her a curt, satisfied nod. "Finally someone understands! Everyone thinks she just ran from me, but old Nessa loves me. She has never left before!" Kya sighed, turning to enter the pen without letting him finish whatever he was saying. The gate had definitely ben unlocked when the cow was "stolen" which meant it very likely did wander of. Thankfully, she could see that the cow had been... excreteing as it walked... and managed to step in it and leave a trail. She began following the trail of manure as it were, and sighed the moment she came upon what was simply an innocent cow. She took it by the bell, gently pulling it along even tho the huge creature seemed intent on staying in the area. It took Kya twenty long, smelly minutes to get the cow to finally follow her back. When she got to the man who'd reported it stoen she violently spoke to him with a glare so evil it could freeze hell in fear. "Lock. Your ********. Gate. Here." She handed the cow over, figuratively of course, and got on her way again, thankful not to have stepped in an cow s**t.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day - 2

Next up on this anoying day, verging on hour three, Moody Blues found herself investigating a tree that had, suprisingly, been chopped down in a very violent manner that left it crashed down on top of a house. She didn't want contact with the client on this one, too tired of stupid after one man, so she conducted her research alone. She rubbed her chin as she looked at where three hackings had been made. The tree was literally caved in in addition to being chopped at. Someone huge and strgon, strong enough to knock down a tree in three hits. Fear was not the correct word for what she suddenly felt imagining what kind of lumber jack was capable of this. To be honest... chet came to mind. He could probably get too high to hold himself back and destroy a tree with his horns. Speaking of horns, and why, she recomposed herself and wiped away the drool as she thought of anyone who could have been guilty. The tree was a very large, very old maple tree. The man sold syrup, she figured. Well she didn't figure, she could see the stores of syrup that had been crushed. She stepped over to the man, flashed her headband and spoke. "Who else sells syrup?" she asked pointedly. The man spoke plainly, looking like something out of an old western painting, which really didn't fit his description. "I'm going to stop and rephrase. Did you drive a very large man with a syrup plant out of business?" "Well, he tried to muscle into my territory so I lowered my prices to cause an imbalance in the market tha-" "Go to the police, tell them his name, tell them you influenced the market and pissed him off. Crime solved. Also, don't anger people who can kick your a**." She turned away from him, resisting the urge to skewer him and praying for strength.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day III

How many petty crimes could possibly get committed in a single day that required the attention of the police? Is this why they needed so many units? She pondered the merits of even doing this sort of work as she approached a rather large home in the suburbs she strayed away from because of how uncomfortable it made her. She closed her lips into a tight line, belying just how full they honestly were as she was let into the front gate. She had to do her duty as a genin, solving petty crimes actually did fit into her job description. She made her way upstairs to the bedroom where she found a well off spouse in distress. "How may I... wait nothing in here was destroyed." The man shook his head and pointed at his desk. "No... someone broke in while we slept and stole my wedding band!" Kya looked at the desk, seeing there was, indeed, no ring. She rubbed at her chin and narrowed her eyes. "Did you make sure it didn't fall?" The man didn't flinch as Kya kneeled, looking in the space between the bed. She reached down, surprised at the feeling of soft fabric, and metal. She stood up and threw both on the bed. "The band fell, and he's cheating on you, unless these panties, three sizes below you, belong to you somehow." She waited just a second to see how it was going to turn out. She herself had to escape, however, as she realized how much danger she was in. By the time she made it to the nearest window, flames were erupting from that bedroom. It didn't matter to her, however, what the outcome would be. She was going to put an end to him, and Kya had been the catalyst. Beautiful.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day - IV

Midday was fast approaching and nothign challenging or remotely interesting had happened so far as Kya was concerned. Creating a widow out of a murderer was certainly interesting, but there was so little about that that had given her anything besides five minutes of levity. Now she was standing at the end of a street that featured several dozen smashed mailboxes. They shared a few tings in common. One, she could tell the assault was made by baseball bat, and also that each of them were knocked over from the right side.A few of the houses had remained untouched, but there seemed to be nothing left behind. Whoever had smashed these mailbox was likely to have just been doing so at random, but Kya went to one of the houses nonetheless. "So, you heard yours get smashed first, and came out, right?" Kya asked, far more patient than she had all day. "Yes, we made as much noise as we could, but he smashed up a bunch more before he got to the end of the street, and then he ran back this way doing the same thing. All I know for sure is that he had bright red hair, and was barely taller than you." Kya flared her nostrils and looked away. She knew who was behind it, but she had to test the theory. So she went to several of the untouched houses and talked to the people there. Only the houses without children. "Dammit," she thought to herself as she stalked off to the home of the obvious culprit. The only one who hadn't graduated with her class. With a deep drawback of her arm, she slugged him the moment he was in arm's reach. The dumbass still had the bat. "It's bad enough you were to weak to pass, now you've decided too punish those who have proven themselves your better? I cannot stand weakness." She continued to scold the barely conscious boy as she dragged him by his ankle to the station.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day - V

Rather than searching it out, her next case almost fell into her lap as she meandered back to the precint. A robber had stolen someone's purse within eyeshot of her. Unlucky for him, she was a lot faster. However, she decided to put her ability to tail to the test, and instead simply kept within sight range as the would be purse snatcher darted off to wherever it was he planned on going. She kept to the streets where it was possible, managing to avoid drawing attention while she slid between people and the ally ways she could go through to head him off when needed. Beyond that, she bounded from wall to wall up to the rooftops, keeping oversight of the streets as inconspicuously as one could. She remained there when she finally did get too high up to quickly descend, and ran along side him, almost perfectly parallel. Finally he slowed his sprint, ducking into yet another allyway, and Kya metericiously cleared her throat to draw his attention. She waited until he saw her before she drew her blade and fell from the rooftop. There was a loud wail, and a few moments of absolute terror for the origin as Kya, her blade slick with blood, approached. In a few seconds of movement, she had carved a leaf symbol into his chest, and removed one of his fingers. She took the purse from him, and delivered a blow to the head with the soft side of her balde, putting him to sleep. The police would be by when word of the scream hit them, and they could also talk to the woman Kya returned the purse to when she got to the station to give her statement. This specific solved crime was at least halfway interesting but it was still so unfulfilling to beat up people too weak to fight back.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day - VI

Kya stared at the scene for what felt like hours, even though only minutes had passed since she arrived on the scene. It was two thirty in the afternoon, and someone had managed to ram a whole cart through someone's living room while they were at work. The man, taking a late lunch, got home to find the mess and called for the police. Kya arrived ahead of them, and was still surveting when someone else arrived. "What are you thinking?" he asked her. Kya, who had been thinking about running herself through cleared her throat and pointed. "Someone doesn't like the owner of this house." The man stifled his laugh as the client came to give his address, but Kya, ever the ADHD, left the area mid sentence, looking at the tire tracks and realizing that it had to have been going really quick. Too fast for him to stop. There were marks from the cart's pusher all over the street. He had been swerving. She walked back inside, looking over the shoulder of the police officer who was kneeling and gathering an assessment of the cart itself. Looked like, from the debris, the man responsible had probably bailed from the back of the cart before it went out of control, which she figured was likely. "Find out who took out this cart from the rental company it's from." The officer looked over at her."Don;t think it was foul play do you?" Kya shook her head, and pointed. The liscence plate had a carting service's number on it. She didn't much care if it were an accident, just that the crime was solved.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day VII

It was approaching lunch time, and as Kya sat down at her favorite ramen vendor's makeshift store front she watched out for anything going on nearby. Her eyes fell on a man who had his heads in the clouds, smiling like he'd just been kissed for the first time. Judging by his level of wanderlust and how, when he bumped into someone, he didnt even throw a sorry over his shoulder for like three whole seconds. Another person seemed to be shy to the point of trying to avoid eye contact with everyone around her was too into her own pockets to realize that she was on a collision course with a man reading a book off near the road. When she bumped into him, Kya narrowed her eyes as they both apologized profusely. Her ramen arrived as a man ran past the booth and crashed into someone who seemed to be running the opposite away. In the ensuing chaos, Kya stood, turned and delivered an elbow to the man who hit her so quick he hit the ground and dropped the person's wallet. She moved quickly, knocking out the man near the street with his book with a deftly delivered punch to his temple. She took the wallet he'd swiped from his book, and threw it at the back of the shy girl's hand with her ninja training. She finally bumped into the man who had pick-pocketed the lover boy and cave his chest in, drawing a bit more attention to herself as she
took the man's wallet and gave it to it's owner after a short jog. Following that, she sat back down to enjoy her still warm ramen.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day VIII

When she got back out it was verging on the evening, so it was officially starting to get a little chilly. This meant another rush hour as people got on their way home with groceries. Kya sat on the edge of a two story rooftop, waiting on either a call to arms or for someone to go out of their way to do something stupid where she could see it. Her first oppurtunity was the sound of a siren. She followed it, leaping from roof to roof until she came upon a man frantically yelling. "She took it! My ex-wife broke into my home and took my Trophy!" Kya landed safely beside the man and gave him a once over before speaking. " What did you win a trophy for exactly?" The man stood a bit prouder, easily six inches taller than Kya. He was burly, muscular in a way that made Kya feel uncomfortable with the idea of him touching her. "Im a prized songwriter! We won the trophy together, but I wrote the song so it's only fair that I get the trophy, not her! All she did was follow my instruction." Kya rolled her eyes, but took the woman's address down. "I'll be back," she said to the officer. Not five minutes late she cameback with something. "This sheet of paper sys that you signed the Trophy over to her as part of your divorce settlement. Her new husband made sure to highlight the text for me, since he wrote it. Did you not know what was on here?" The man began to babble about never reading contracts because of this or that, but Kya couldn't be asked to let him finish. "Don't waste our time like this again. And go take a shower, you smell like a**." With that, the visionary investigator withheld negative words further, and got on with her life.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day IX

Kya hoped to god that the last investigation of the day would prove to be something a bit more interesting than misunderstandings and pickpockets, but her luck just didn't want to improve. As she dragged the unconscious body to a spot beside the others, she reflected on how she got here. It wasn't dark yet when she answered the call, but it was getting there. Someone was yelling about a mugging, and Kya was the only ninja present to show any sort of remotely intimidating presence, so she ran behind the man into a nearby ally. Kya slowed to a stop as soon as she heard shuffling behind her and turned, almost too late, to stop the punch that was aimed at her head with her forearm. Frustration mounted as she jabbed him in the next. So these guys were the muggers from earlier, trying to get one back onher? Obviously they hadn't learned, so she would treat them like the petty criminals they were. There was a bit of a scuffel in the ensuing 3 on 1 battle. Kya got tagged a few times, but by the end of the spat she was tying them up and leaving them in the middle of the road. The day had been long and it sucked, but the priestess decided against actually killing them for the sake of the people who would come across their headless bodies. She dusted herself off as she exited the area in one piece, which shouldn't have been said about her attackers.

Kya Holmes: The Long Day - Fin

Chet
Antidote

She said she would pray for me...

Chet was gone. He was out of the battle. Everything was going to be fine! There was no possible way he would rejoin a cluster ******** of a fight! He was the God Damn Bear Sage he had s**t to do! And then they blew up his baby. They blew up his God Damn bong.
"Oh God..." Chet cried on his knees. The shattered remains of his bong on the floor and in his hands. Blood splattered over his body like a web. That bong had been made for him by...No no it had been stolen yeah...He stole up from some hermit in the middle of nowhere. Chet had done everything with it.
"Please someone help me! Someone!" He shouted among the crowd of frenzied civilians running around in the middle of the chaos and blood. So many dead. Chet could feel it, but all he cared about at the moment was his bong. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" He gave one furious roar before looking over at a child who was dead on the ground. Her body laid sprawled like a wild animal with no one to care for. Finally Chet realized his body had been cut to no end as well, but due to his endurance hadn't killed him. He walked over to the child and lifted her up in his arms. It was one of the most grotesque things he'd ever seen in his life. Who had done this? Was it the three from the forest? "s**t!" Chet shouted in frustration. Once again his actions and carelessness had led to the deaths of innocent lives. "Have I learned nothing?" He asked himself. Sake and blood covering his body. "It's just a ******** bong this...What the ******** am I saying?" He asked himself falling to his knees with the small child still in his arms. "People are dying around me. I...I need to find who did this." Chet 's eyes narrowed as his Bear Mother whispered in his ears. You do not need rage my child. Use you power to save your people. They may be different from you, but they are all your family and carry on the will of fire just as you do. Tears made their way out of Chet's eyes and dripped on the child's pale arm.

I said it's too late for me

All but untouched Sumika rolled through the streets of Konohagakure like a boulder down a mountain, unable to really keep her eyes off the scene around her. Death didn't, or perhaps rather, hadn't, ever bothered her but this? This wasn't a single person getting stabbed in an alley, or falling off a roof because they're stupid. This was hundreds, maybe thousands, of normal people. For the moment she was still scatterbrained, frantic even, unable to suppress or direct her energy. And in the process she nearly ran right over Chet, who was kneeling in the middle of all this nonsense for no apparent reason. The girl flung her weight to the side, jut narrowly avoiding kneeing him in the damn face and skidded to a halt a few feet away, iron sand strewn everywhere. "Ow." The girl grumbled as she struggled to her feet and wandered back over towards Chet.

"Hey, WHAT THE ******** JUST HAppe-" Her voice trailed off as she rounded the older shinobi's form to see him holding the mangled body of a little girl. And suddenly Sumika seemed thoughtful, instead of brash. Cool instead of fiery. Her expression was plain, and slightly sad; a rarity for someone so positively animated. She also felt something she almost never experienced, such that she had to think for a moment to even recognize it. Guilt. At coming through this unscathed, while the Hokage and others, all these innocent people, paid an exceptionally high price. At not having been out here to try and stop what was happening because she was worried about a puppet and, before the puppet, boasting about completing a few missions. What might have happened to San? That idiot Kanzaki? Could she have saved anyone if she'd trained harder and been here instead of the office? It was an odd sensation, and it only inspired her to stare at the man and the body in front of her while it squeezed her little chest in an invisible vice of immeasurable size.

The damage to the infrastructure as he saw it was negligible. It was the human toll that was far higher than what he could realistically stomach. The issue lay with that it hadn't been the three they had been fighting in the forest: some one else had caused all of this. It was in the middle of that attack, wobbling through the streets from dizziness, that he came upon Chet and Sumika.

He'd already bandaged his right forearm previously, his hair black with soot, but most of the blood on him was from previous injuries reopened in the fight. Kanzaki sighed, taking his mind away from how dry his eyes and throat were, and walked around Sumika, placing his hand on her shoulder while he knelt down in front of Chet.
"Chet. Chet? It's Kanzaki." He still had his burned out cigarette in his lips, taking his hand of Sumika and reaching into his yukata for his flask. He took a quick drink of the cheap sake, then held out the container for Chet to take a drink from, or not, before taking it back. "Here."

Whether the Oni took a sip or not, Kanzaki would take this time to gently move his arms in and scoop the broken child into his own arms like she was a newborn. She wasn't the only one who would require the aspiring priest's actions, but at least for right now he'd do this. It was just as much for the girl as it was for the one who found her. He carried the body out of the middle of the street to a slight clearing.

Laying her down on the unspoiled ground, he pulled off his obi and torn yukata. Kanzaki wrapped the little girl in his bloodied robe, tying it off with narrow strips, and stood up and back. Curling the digits of his right hand, he called a Rasengan into his grip and held it there for a moment. He didn't jam it into the ground, but used it more like a lathe, carving out a grave for her.

He'd scoop away the excess soil with his left arm, staining the bandages, but he didn't care about his own health. He moved the earth to a pile beside him, rounding off the corners. He kept at this until the hole was at least two feet deep. Then, with the utmost care, minding her head, he lowered her into the hole he'd dug with his technique.

Kanzaki went about covering and burying her, using both hands at a time instead of unceremoniously just dumping all the earth back in. He packed the ground gently, evening out the surface as best he could. He drew his katana, finding a nearby rock about the size of his own head, and pulled it closer. Using the tip of his weapon, he scratched "Innocent" into it, and placed it as a makeshift headstone.

Standing, he poured the last of his sake on the headstone. He didn't have any food or incense, but he did have smokes, leaving one at the base of the impromptu headstone, and clapped his hands together.
"It's all I have for you. Take this offering and be at peace. Watch over we who remain and ease our suffering as we move forward, for you have none any longer."
[Burial of the Fallen]

For a while longer he stood staring down at the grave, but finally turned away to meet the other two. He dropped to his knees when things started to spin in his vision, rolling back to sit on his rear fully, starting to tear his obi into more bandages. "Sumika. Patch our Oni friend up with these please. I-I need a minute to catch my breath." He needed some damn water but he wasn't about to ask for it. He still had his life, after all. Taking care of the survivors was top priority overall, but right now he felt as if Chet needed something, anything. "Chet. I know it's difficult. We can all grieve when we have the time. Right now, I think what will help you, all of us, is to find as many people still alive as we can and get them to safety. The ones who did this might still be around. You follow me?"

6ft Under She Gone Kill Me For That Paper ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ

Still feeling the weight of exhaustion from the heat, Kya kicked a door open and hollared inside. A group of survivors came sprinting out and she directed them towards the hospital with her blade. She hadn't been in the streets long before she had found someone trapped inside of a building that lost intergrity from the attacks. Her muscles were strainged, her mouth screaming out for any form of hydration, but she was too ornery to ask the civvies for any aid with that. And she felt like the cries and pain was so awfully loud. Her eyes were still being assaulted, her vision limited significantly but not so much she couldn't navigate her way while bouncing from roof to roof. SHe stopped when she happened upon the corpse of an anbu. Her eyes scanned to the ground, blurry shapes and colors. A lot of red. Too many small things. So much death should be elating the woman. Her sharingan turned as she willed a few squirrels away. The way she held contempt in her stoic appearance belied the purity of her anger.

She killed the deserving, the weak and the stagnant. Civilians, the people who ran the village and fought day to day in their own way were not weak. They were Paylangi. They pushed as they slaved in their kitchens and broke their backs to provide. The teachers reared the young, and the young learned and grew like weeds flowers and trees all the same. These were the people who truly shoved the world towards destiny. These were the people who deserved to inherit the worldsoul. To inherit God's favor. The slaying of the innocent did nothing for Kya but make her want to murder the attackers. Just as she held contempt for the UHV, Kya she hated these attackers for what they did.

A protector she was becoming whether Kya knew it or not. Her path was no longer so narrow. The Truth Bearer would be angry at this, and proud, and happy all at once. Her protege, the Priestess of Promise.

She waded through the carnage and glass, making a bee line for Kanzaki. The rage was present in her face but her demeanor was otherwise calm. She took his bottle from him, just seconds before his ceremony, and whatever Chet left she would consume. Her people had an interesting rite of burial, but she was respectful of this different method. "Chet. We need you," she punctuated what Kanzaki had said. A tear rolled down her face seeing the anguish laden on her comrades. It was unwillful. She held contempt for weakness, and that she was showing herself. Everyone was going to come out of this different than they went in. All she could do was direct her rage at being helpful. "I will look inside of the houses and stores and get the living out. I can cut through the buildings that are stable to get people out, and I'm stronger than I look. I can start carrying people." Her plan was an addition to Kanzakis, and hopefully it would spur Chet to get up and help.

She suspected he was far from in a good headspace, however.

Chet
Family

She said she would pray for me...

For a moment all Chet could hear were the voices of the slain and of the frantic. Like ants humans when faced with improbable scenarios reacted like lost insects guided only by hormones.
Someone was calling for him he could hear a faint sound, but he couldn't take his eyes off of the girl within his grasp. She reminded him of so many people.
She reminded him of Kokoro and Tsu. What had he been doing that was so important that he didn't jump to her rescue and save her from the glass? He only moved when someone tried taking the girl away from him. Chet immediately growled at Kanzaki, but his eyes widened at the sight of his comrade. Chet had abandoned him and the others to fight the mysterious trio. His arms rose as Kanzaki gently took the girl away from him. She was gone yet her weight was still present. Looking around, Chet realized he was surrounded by his peers and not just any ordinary peers. They were his old squad mates from his gennin days. It had been so long since he'd seen them.

You should let loose. Show your rage to the world. These aren't truly your people. You do realize that don't you? Do not cry over fallen fodder, but that they dared to attack you and then leave without facing your fury. It's all so simple. All it takes is one. Simple. Push. Chet felt his curse mark pulse and vomit almost shot of his mouth. "Geh!" The voice had a point. He was not among his peers. The people around him had all mocked him at one point. Why should he help them at all? The village didn't respect him, the Hokage didn't respect him and neither did these people who asked for his help! This would be a perfect opportunity for him to take advantage of the carnage. His mind was beginning to race with the possibility of his future actions before a different much more soothing voice came through.

Do you remember what you learned in the forest? Do you remember the happiness you felt when you cast aside all of your guilt and self doubts? We entrusted you with our power, because we believe that inside of you is the will to do good and overcome the darkness. These people surrounding you might have mocked you at one point yes, but now they trust you. They need your help. They are your family! Do not let that child's death be in vain, Chet. Do not let it be just another thing for you to use as an excuse to deny your responsibilities. Mother Bear's words rung true. Chet's mind was already calming itself and the curse mark calmed itself as well. Looking up he realized Kya was there. Kanzaki had dug a grave for the little girl and Sumika seemed ready for action. "Time to nut up or shut up." Chet mumbled to himself before getting himself up from the ground.

"You're all great shinobi you know that?" Chet announced to his peers. "When you're confronted with adversity you persevere and fight through it. You don't weep. You kick a** and then cry." Chet rubbed some of the tears out of his eyes. "Our village needs us. Kya and Kanzaki you both seem to be on the same page. Yet you both don't seem to be in the best shape either. You both should aid as many as you can, but within reason. We don't know what's happening or if this just the first wave of an attack. I'd tell you to go to the hospital, but you won't listen. Sumika you seem to be in perfect condition and from I remember you're pretty ******** fast. Go help our people." Chet ordered in a way that didn't really feel like a command. He was Chet after all, he was no leader. "I need to find the ******** who did this. I have to." He mumbled watching the chaos that had become of his village.

I said it's too late for me

User Image San would be the first to arrive from the group at the dojo. She was faster than the other genin and her chosen taijutsu aided the woman in getting around a city even faster. From a rooftop edge overlooking the the group below San checked them out cautiously until she recognized Sumika and the man with white hair. Something about him bothered her greatly but she wasn't sure what. Still, linking up with the others was a good idea. Vaulting over the edge, she dropped a couple floors before tucking into a roll at the bottom. As the red head climbed to her feet she broke into a run before throwing her arms around Sumika. "I'm so glad to see you unharmed Sumika!" The hug of course once again almost threatened the poor girl's life due to the risk of suffocating but San would let up before that could ever happen.

Not too long after the arrival of Sanae would be two men carrying a wounded person on top of a gunbai. The fan itself bore the emblem of the Uzumaki so it more than likely belonged to the busty red head. "There's two other genin in my group, some more of the wounded who can walk and some who are hurt real bad. The rest are waiting at the dojo for rescue or aid." looking back over her shoulder she saw some of the walking wounded from her group shambling their way down the streets. They looked absolutely dreadful. Bleeding from lots of places and their faces were filled with weary and sickness over the corpses that dotted the streets. Definitely not a pretty picture but they were alive. For that many of them were probably thankful. "We were gonna hit up the hospital see what the situation is and drop these people off. You four know anything more about what's going on?"
