Aria breathed deeply, a sigh of relief that someone was holding off on breaking in to the hospital. "There's a toxin going through the vents," Aria began, "So Mi-sama, Hoshi-san, and I are moving patients to the contamination ward. Most of the first level is evacuated, but," she trailed off as a tinkle of a sound could be heard, metal dropping to the floor. Looking out into the reception area, Aria could not see what or who it was, but she had a bad feeling about it. Glancing up at the ventilation ducts nearby, she saw what looked like large pollen when it drifted through a shaft of sunlight, or was it spores? "The things coming out of the ducts right now look like large pollen." Another tinkle, slightly bit closer, spooked the shrine maiden. "Sypher, there is something in here that I think is not human" Was it just her mind, playing tricks on her, or was it something wrong? She had her Teikouryoku jutsu on still, but if Mi-sama was right about already being infected--no, Aria shook her head. She did not want to think about such ends. "Mi-sama thinks we might already be infected," she stated somberly, trying to keep an eye open for whatever was creeping her out.

Aka was about to protest to Mi coming down with her, but the woman just pushed on ahead anyways. Akarui let out a sigh before jogging after her teacher, making note of not eating the mushrooms. She didn't know why she would eat them to begin with, she didn't even like mushrooms. They were gross and fungai was gross and just ew. She got in to the elevator after Mi and waited as they went down the floors to the bio room. When the doors opened again her eyes got wide, it looked like a jungle had happened down here. Did this just happen in a few moments? Or had the bio-room been taken over for a while now and they had just noticed? She took a deep breath before stepping out; the doors closed behind her with a sharp sound and she couldn't help but jump. It was creepy as hell down here, and there was a feeling in the air she didn't like.
Aka started down the hall nice and slow, making careful work of placing her feet down one by one. She wasn't sure what to or what to expect. One of the doors were open and Aka popped her head in to make sure everything was alright. her eyes grew wide as a dead body was being held against the wall by what seemed to be a mass of mushrooms. Aka walked in to the room, but before Mi was able to come in behind her, some vines pushed the door closed. Aka turned around quickly, her eyes getting wide; she could see her teacher through the window in the door. She swore loudly, biting her lip. What if something tried to hurt Mi and her baby? What would she do? How would she help?

This layer of chakra creates a selectively semipermeable membrane that lets only oxygen in and letting all exhalation waste out. This has many positive benefits like helping those with troubles getting enough oxygen in to their system. It also filters the air breathed in by the person effected; filtering out any toxins, spores, viruses, and other unwanted particles like sand, dust, and ash out of the air before entering the lungs. This jutsu has the appearence of a bubble like film covering the mouth and nose.
Listening to Aria's report, Sypher looked up at the hospital as she spoke, watching the side of the hospital. Large pollen bits...that hardly sounded like a good thing. Her next comment made it even less of a good thing "Aria, I'm giving you an order. You're not to think about that unless it becomes absolutely apparent that you are in fact infected." he said, his tone slightly scolding. Honestly, Mi. You need to work on your people skills as much as Jack does in some ways. Telling a person they were sick or possibly sick...was not the way to keep them focused on the positive "Aria, I can enter the hospital if you need me to. And I can do it without breaking the quarantine." looking back at the Aria shaped blur inside the window, Sypher frowned "But I'm not going to if it endangers the people in there. So I need you to think clearly and tell me...do you need me to enter the hospital?"
Instead of metal, this time the sounds were furniture, and much closer. Aria was almost panicking by now, even as Sypher-sama tried to reassure her by telling her to not think about it. Sweat dripped from her brow before she reached a hand up to wipe it away, the salt stinging in her eyes. The Lord extended his invitation, but Aria could think of no way for him to enter while keeping quarantine. How can he do that, she questioned internally. Another sound of furniture moving, now right in the two side halls, to the left and the right, with many low, empty growls. I thought I got everyone.
Glancing right, her top shifted, dropping off of her shoulder. Hands were extended out into the hall, and then another pair, and another. A crowd of mushroomed people were ambling towards the entrance! Glancing left, another hoard lumbered ever closer. Filtering out into the reception hall, both crowds clearly saw the bright red of the shrine maiden's dress. "Sypher, the infected are here," she lowly stated, trying to think of ways to harmlessly keep them at bay. Pulling her hands up, she thought of a two-fold strategy. First, she had to yell loud enough for the infected to hear her, and then to get the genjutsu active.
Flipping through her hand seals, she hoped this strategy would work, as she began to think hard about what Sypher-sama might be able to respond with in such a short time. "Mokuton," she yelled loudly, drawing the rest of the terrible audience as she extended her arms. "Thorns of the Underworld!" Springing from the walls, the floors, and from the ceiling above, all of the space between Aria and the infected sprouted thick vines. They wriggled about as they grew, sewing the space like a tailor sews together tough leather, with pieces of the building appearing to drop and spread dust. Many sharp thorns twisted around at every angle until the vines stopped growing, but the space between them looked like it was now impassable, and full of danger. Aria did not want to hurt them, even if they were not in their right mind. Holding the hand seal to keep the illusion up, she backed up against the door as much as she could. Would her Lord be able to save them all before quarantine broke?

When an opponent is advancing directly towards the user, the user forms a single seal and then stretches their hand outwards in the direction of their attacker. When done correctly, the attacker will see a wall appear before them. The actual appearance of the wall varies and is dependent upon the user’s intelligence, with greater levels of intelligence making the wall more formidable, ranging from a simple wooden fence at the lowest levels, to solid stone walls bound with strong steel girders with large steel spikes covering it. Any foolhardy person or perhaps knowledgeable enough to attempt to force their way through it will either pass through unharmed, or feel as if they did in fact strike a solid object [ including the great pain one could suffer if striking one of the more formidable walls the user may create ].

To say that she wasn't alarmed at the total disaster that was the bio room would be an understatement. It would take a very long time to clear this mess up once the issue was resolved...if the issue was resolved. As Hoshi moved to clear the room closest to her, Mi whipped her head around. Instantaneously she withdrew her kunai from her pouch, her grip weak around the weapon. Mi was by no means a fighter. It wasn't in her disposition to be. She had contented herself to healing the ills of others and providing the support that people needed when they were at their weakest point. Fighting was difficult for her. Moving to stop Hoshi from further entering the room, the door behind the young woman shut, Mi's heart dropping into her stomach. She moved to try the door, gripping the handle. "It won't open..." Mi said aloud, trying to let Hoshi know inside that she was unable to get in. Mi moved quickly to the glass, looking into the room. The door that she had been about to enter had closed with a loud bang, drawing her attention away from her now entrapped student. The other doors further down the hall responded in kind, slamming shut as if they were set on an automatic response measure. The light at the main door that led to the main lab turned on, only increasing the sudden eeriness to this situation. The sound of the metal gears turning resounded in the hallway, Mi's heartbeat accelerating to dangerous levels.
Turning her head away she looked into the room that Hoshi was still trapped inside. This whole mission might have just been a trap. There was something seriously wrong inside of the bio room. They needed to be together for this. Separate was weakness in a situation such as this. Mi took a few steps back and then rushed the window, ramming her thin shoulder into the enforced glass. It shook but remained strong, the material tempered to withstand a high threshold. "You need to get out of there Hoshi!" Mi said again, trying once more to ram the glass. She bounced off, comically, her shoulder throbbing. Mi gripped it tightly, giving up that route. She held her Kunai out to try her weapon against the glass but froze, her eyes widening.
Something was moving inside of the room and in that exact moment the door to the main room swung open, a dark figure standing at the end of it. It groaned, causing goosebumps to rise along the nape of her neck. The mushrooms...had they taken control of the people in here, just like they had prior? She squared off to face the new opponent but was taken by surprise when green vine snaked out and took hold of her wrist. Her kunai was squeezed out of her hand and she was pulled off her feet, away from the room that Hoshi was inside. Mi dug her heels into the ground and used her free hand to support herself. That was the wrong move to do, however, for the vines snaked out and took hold of her free wrist, pulling her sharply on her back. Mi panicked, letting out a small cry. The vines started dragging her forward, towards the open main door. The small woman struggled, trying to loosen the grip the vines had on her. This was getting worse by the second.
Inside of the room the body that Aka had assumed was a dead body was in fact not dead. The body slumped forward, onto it's face. A large green vine was attached to the nape of the persons neck, as if the mushroom was feeding off of the body or controlling it. Slowly the person got to their feet, a large glass shard gripped tightly in their hand. Their eyes were vacant, their expression blank and devoid of anything human. Slowly the zombie person advanced on Aka, weapon drawn out. As it moved forward it gained momentum until it was moving too quickly for the standards of a zombie.
Mission : Don't eat the mushrooms Rank : B Detail : Investigate the bio med room and recover three clues that would allow you to pain the bigger picture. What happened? What caused the events to unfold. Who was involved? When did it happen? Where did it happen? These are a few of the answers you can solve.

Sypher heard Aria, barely, through the glass and he stepped back All right. he didn't know what was going on but at this point he was going to go with the only option he had. He signed and vanished in a spray of mist. Seconds later, he reappeared inside the hospital behind Aria "Behind me please, Aria." Sypher put a hand on her shoulder and stepped forward, holding his hand outward. Wood began to bleed out of his palm, spreading and turning into a wide rounded plank that broke into two other pieces before rounding as well. He didn't know how much damage the infected would cause but keeping them away would be a good idea "Where is Mi?" he asked calmly, taking one of the shields and handing it to Aria. It was almost as long as she was tall and about 4ft wide. As he did, wood began to rise up out of his skin, coating his body as it spread to cover every inch of him. He hadn't bothered with the smoke to disguise what had happened so it was strange to see him almost eaten by wood. Sypher looked at Aria over his shoulder, the dark wood strange against his eyes "We need to get to her first." his voice was altered in this form, a huskier tone.

Mokuton: Henge [ Wood Release: Transformation ] Rank C This jutsu is just like any other Transformation Technique. The user performs the necessary hand seals, then wood emerges and covers his entire body and a puff of smoke or chakra covers up the transformation. Once the jutsu is done, the transformation is complete. It acts more like a costume than a transformation, as the user is able to leave it behind if necessary. He also demonstrates the ability to adjust his voice while using this technique.

Mi was right, no matter how much Aka tried to open the door it was stuck. The vines seemed to be keeping the door shut tight, so in able to get out she had to get the vines from around the door. She kicked at the vines, but she stopped mid-kick as she heard a sound behind her, foot steps. That dead body wasn't dead. It wasn't dead, it was just dormant... she was wrong. The foot steps quickened slowly and Akarui reached for her rapier. pulling it out just in time to spin around and bring it up. She blocked the shard of glass, her eyes wide. She was gonna try and stab the body but she realized the person was still alive; like actually alive. She shifted her weight, pressing with the rapier, trying to shove the person away. She was racking her brain, he had to get to Mi but how. What could she do? Mi was in danger, she had to help her!
She saw a vine connecting to the body's neck, maybe if she cut that...

Aria gasped as Sypher appeared, and nodded her head in understanding. Shuffling behind him, she answered the question at hand, "Mi-sama and Hoshi-san went towards the underground bio room, to contain the toxin or create a cure. We started out down the left hallway, towards the end," she paused then, to grasp the shield with her free hand. It was very smooth, slightly curvy, and its weight was to be complimented. Sypher-sama had torn off a piece not too heavy for her, and yet not too light that she would be bulldozed over by the hungry masses.
As she was admiring the shield, the Mizukage had started his transformation, so when she looked up, his barking over was utterly jarring! Taking a step back as her eyes widened, her mouth dropped just a bit from the surprise. "Yes sir," Aria barely managed to get out, in a response to the new, deep, booming voice of the Green Man. (?) "I think there is an elevator at the end of that hallway," she finished, as another slow hoard of bumbling, unaffected infected came from the right. Her illusion would last just long enough for the two of them to be able to deal with the infected on the left, and jet out from the reception area.

Aka's weakness was immediately exploited by the zombified person. After the hostage was fended off by her it staggered into an upright position. It was slightly unbalanced, the vine that controlled it unable to quickly stabilize it's host. Slowly the zombie person turned to face Aka, glass shard raised to the artery at the right of the thorax. With one hand it held open it's other palm, a handful of colorful mushrooms being offered up to Aka. "E..a..t." The person grunted out, taking a small step towards Aka while maintaining the glass shard at the critical point. It was clear what was happening here...The plants learned. Quickly and had judged Aka to be hesitant towards killing another. If she didn't take the mushrooms and do as she was told another victim would be lost to the overall chaos that was unfolding around them. What would she do now? Her mentor was being dragged off into the unknown and she was alone, presented with a difficult choice. These were the moments that made or broke Shinobi. These were the moments where time was critical, despite wishing that one had more of it.
As the vines gained leverage on Mi they continued to pull her closer towards the door and where the strange zombie person stood waiting to intercept her. Nothing was giving her leverage enough to slow the speed in which she was being sucked towards the door. Mi was currently not strong enough to fend someone off her back, nor was she flexible enough to do it. Her hands were to far apart to make hand signals. This was getting worse and worse by the second. Rolling onto her side, even though she risked so much by doing so, she tried to angle her shoulder down enough to reach her pouch. There was one thing she had concocted in her bag that could help. A small vile with highly corohsive powder inside of it. Fingers barely touching the tops of the viles she reached one and took a chance. Pulling it out she flicked the cork off with her thumb and tilted the vile upwards over the top of her hand. Some of the agent touched her hand a began to bubble, eating away at her skin. The rest of it smeared all over the vine and began to break away at the thing.
It retracted, halting it's pull on Mi and retreating like a wounded animal. Unfortunately for Mi the zombie doorman and moved to intercept her, standing over her with his hand outstretched to her. In his hands were a handful of mushrooms. She moved her hands up before her to protect herself from the advances of the person who was now trying to force her into ingesting the vile fungus. Jae fought with all she had, knowing that not only would she lose if she ended up eating those mushrooms.

Sypher gave Aria a patient look over his shoulder "We'll take stairs. I'm not trapping myself in a small, suspended box with these people possibly deciding how best to eat me." the last part was a joke but for the most part, there was the plan. They would go for the stairs once they dealt with the infected "Please hold onto my jacket. And move when I do." glancing around, Sypher spotted a water fountain and he started a string of signs then reached out towards the fountain. The spigot trembled then exploded off the fountain as a blast of water exploded out. With a quick jerk of his hand, Sypher sent the blast at the group. Not much at first but the water continued, growing larger and larger until the waterfall of water took the fountain off the wall. The entirety of the attack, plus the fountain, hit the initial hoard like a truck and threw them into the walls as it rushed through the hall "Quickly, Aria!" Sypher took off, sprinting through the opening he'd made. The hall was soaked but if Aria kept a good grasp on his jacket, they'd make it just fine. Sypher held his wooden shields at the ready and as one infected attempted to rise from the water, he struck out, giving the man a glancing blow that knocked the man off his feet. Hopefully, he hadn't injured him too much. They were about six feet from the stairwell, and the fountain that had slammed into the elevator doors, the infected still down but starting to rise in slippery jolts and jerks.

A wave of nausea hit Aka at the sight of the mushrooms on the thing's hands, it wanter her to become like it. Classic zombies, pushing their ways on everyone. Pushy pushy zombies. She gritting her teeth together, a grim look forming on her face. "I'm so sorry..." She mumblied softly before swinging her rapier up and cutting the skin of the palm of the thing's hand straight off, lopping the mushrooms off with it. She didn't want to do it, because the person who the mushrooms were controlling could very well be very much alive and very conscious, but she had to. If they changed people by stuffing those things in their mouths, then it help the answers to the cure. So she needed those mushrooms. After slicing the skin of the poor person's hand she jumped back.
She quickly focused all of her concentration on moving chakra to her hand, slowly and surely. She needed to find some way in incapacitate this guy, mostly for his good and hers. It was tricky and dangerous trying to get a justu to work on the first go, she didn't have a feel for it herself and could end up hurting herself or risk the jutsu not working in the slightest. However, she had had a lot of luck up in till now preforming Eiseijutsu on the first go, maybe that trend would continue so that she could get out and save mi. She held her rapier up to defend herself if she didn't get the jutsu ready in time. [ 1 // 2 ]
Her free hand quickly started making hand seals once she was as sure as she could be that she had enough chakra. She then rushed the person again, pulling her rapier up further to protect herself against strikes. Her hand began to get a sort of aura around it and when she got close enough, she pulled her hand up, palm flat. She hit the man with her flat palm, sending a wave of chakra through his chest and hopefully stunning him for a decent amount of time. [ 2 // 2;; Runge Suibou [ Lung Collapse ] ]
Once she finished her attack, she quickly grabbed a contamination bag and picked up the mushrooms off the ground without touching them with her bare hands. She then rushed to the door and tried to cut the vines on it with her rapier; if they were to let go she'd swing the door open and run out to go get Mi. While trying to cut the vines, Aka shoved her sample in to her pocket; she only hoped me wouldn't reprimand her for how she got it.

This technique can not effect any other organs in the body except for the lung as the amount of pure chakra needed to disrupt the body's more massive [ bigger ] organs is far too great for most nin at this level to conjure into a visible form at anyone time without exhausting themselves.
Trying to decipher the wooden face was difficult, but Sypher appeared to be giving a patient look towards Aria. Blinking a few times, she nodded her head and reached out with her free hand to hold on to his barky coat, finding plenty of handholds to do so. Then, he was forming some signs, and a nearby fountain burst to life! Swirling around, it flew through the air in a continuous stream, sweeping the patients off their feet. Aria flinched when she realized the significance of it, and had a quick response thought of worry for them, but her Lord's command jolted her back in to the scene. Keeping the shield up, they began to run, the waters lapping against their footfalls.
In the middle of the hall, a patient attempted to infect Sypher, but was quickly pacified. Behind them, Aria glanced, the ragged movements of those they bowled over were trying to stand again. Far enough away, she hoped, for their retreat to the next floor. Suddenly, a young shriek of horror came from upstairs, and then down the stairwell to the landing, and now towards the Lord and the maiden, a young child was trying to flee a large, infected brute. "Keep going downstairs," Aria yelled ahead, getting the boy's attention, his eyes bright as they flashed bluely up at them. At the landing, the brute turned to thud down towards the trio, his eyes ablaze with crazed intentions from a situation beyond his control.

It hit her like a train, and the shock of it caused her to completely drop her rapier. The young female looked down in shock, her eyes wide, at the glass shard that had penetrated through her stomach. It was too late already, and she knew that. IT was too deep and too serious for her to heal on her own, and Mi was down the hall and through a barred door. The was no hope for her. Consciousness already slipping, the female grabbed her rapier off the floor with shaky hands that didn't want to cooperate, her will being the only thing keeping her going. Maybe there was still hope for her, maybe it wouldn't end here for her. Akarui knew the denial unconsciously, but she still kept trying.
The strength seemed to leave her body all at once, like everything had all given up on the realization this was it. The female fell to her knees, and then on to her side. The zombie or whatever it was wasn't bothering her now, even it knew she was a goner. Aka looked with blurry vision at the alarmingly huge pool of blood that was forming around her. One of her organs must have ruptured. The last thing she saw was her blood seeping underneath the door and in to the hall before the black blanket she had been so desperately fighting engulfed her and she let out one final breath; and then her body went still.
If anyone could ever get in to the room and retrieve her, they would find the sample of the mushrooms and her long-cold body.

Even as Sypher turned to see Aria catching up with him and the brute that was bearing down on him, the air suddenly began to dry. Sypher gagged slightly as the moisture was suddenly pulled from the air. All around them, the mushrooms that had released the spores and insanity into the air began to dry up. The brute stumbled, confused, then stopped as the boy turned back to look at him before rushing to the man who was, in fact, his father. Sypher coughed and glanced around, realizing the hospital had performed a decon cleanse that pulled all air based materials out with the water. It would be stored and checked later to determine what had happened "It appears...the Anbu managed to get in and access the hospital's decontamination protocols." peeling his bark skin off to reveal himself unharmed and very normal, Sypher spoke to Aria "Get yourself checked out by a nurse and then come to my office. I'll need you to make a report about what happened..." with a slight bow, Sypher vanished in a spray of mist as several nurses hurried up to Aria, looking lost. -Exit Sypher

The air, dry, suddenly meant that the mushrooms were all dealt with, somehow or another. The village Anbu must have had a hand in it, but as the bark peeled, her throat ran dry and scratchy, stalling her from commenting too much. Keeping the resistance jutsu up, just in case she had any lingering effects in her, Aria nodded to Sypher's guess, their thoughts linked on the matter. Coughing suddenly, in response to trying to talk, "C-c-cough, cough. Yes sir. I will do both immediately."
Just as Sypher vanished, Aria's Mukei Enko forcefully ended, sending a shock through her body. Even though there was no active Pain technique on, the recoil still hurt, and not from the simple ending; the ending of the technique without her permission meant something else all together. "Hoshi-san died!" The shrine maiden screamed at the top of her lungs, her hands balled up and with her entire body clenched in agony. Aria had failed, failed to keep her team alive once more. Tears streamed out from her eyes as she dropped to the floor, a complete mess. "You, go find Auntie Mi-sama and Hoshi-san, please, please..." She trailed off, fearing for her aunt's life too.
