"With a little less speed than that asp I just mentioned," Leila replied. "Ever heard of Krav Maga? Israeli martial arts. It means 'serpent strike'. Wanna prove I'm that fast?"

(Should I keep going or just let you win now)
"I'd love to see you dodge a bullet." The sniper said, now aiming both guns at her. Nicholas opened both eyes now, shaking a lot. He was scared that Leila would get hurt because of him.

(One more post, then we can wrap this bit up.)
Leila pushed herself off the wall to stand straight. "I dodged your last one, didn't I?" she challenged.

(Alright)
"One yes, but not two." He gave a smirk and fired at her. "Leila!" Nicholas screamed, scared that she would get shot again. His nightmares were coming back, tears were running down his face.

Leila dropped, sliding down into a low crouch. The bullets hit the wall behind her, making little impact craters where her head had been an instant before. Using her low center of gravity to push her forward, she rushed at the sniper and jabbed upward with the heel of her hand to hit his jaw and snap his head back.

The sniper didn't know what hit him and was easily knocked out. "Leila!!!" Nicholas got up and tried to run to her, but feel over, his body still not fully functional. Tears were flowing down he cheeks and his eyes were red from the crying.

Leila caught Nicholas before he hit the ground and draped his arm over her shoulder. "Let's get you out of here and home before this guy wakes up, eh?" she said. "It's okay. I'm here. You're safe."

Nicholas was still in tears, unable to stop even with Leila holding on to him. "I-I couldn't bear watching you get hurt! I-I don't want you to die Leila!" He said, almost screaming his words with fear. His heart was racing and he was afraid that someone else would just pop up and shoot at them.

"Shh, shh, it's all right now, Nicholas," Leila said softly, soothingly. She pulled Nicholas into a hug. "I'm right here. I'm not hurt, and I'm not gonna die. Come on, love, let's get out of here before he wakes up, all right?"

Nicholas still cried, but he stopped screaming, wrapping his arms around her waist as she hugged him. He needed her comfort so much right now. He was still in high fear. he nodded even if he was still rather shaky.

Leila led Nicholas out of the station, still whispering soothingly to him. "It's okay, love, it's all right. I'm right here. We're going home now, all right? It's okay."

"All right, love, all right," Leila said softly. "When we get home, you can. Let's just get you home first. I think you're in shock."

Nicholas didn't say another word as they made their way home. As the front door opened, Nicholas' father ran up and was about to give him a hug, but noticed how Leila was looking at him and backed away. "You should be the one to care for him right now. We'll call the police and get the sniper picked up and taken to prison." He said and went off to do just that, leaving the two alone.

Leila barely glanced away from Nicholas, concern written plainly on her face. "Thank you, sir," she said in passing as Nicholas's father left the room. Then she started to guide Nicholas toward their rooms, pausing outside the kitchen door. She changed directions and brought him into the kitchen, gently pushing him into a chair and going about making some tea for him. "Here," she said softly, wrapping Nicholas's hands around the mug. "Drink this, then we'll go to my room. But you have to drink it all. Be careful, it's hot."
