Alright. This was Ravenclaw's year. It was new leadership, but he was sure he was ready to go. He'd gotten all kinds of practice over the summer, both with friends and family. He was excited, though all four teams had gotten a shake-up, so there wasn't a perfect way to estimate how any team would do. All he could say was that he was 100% confident in his teammates, knowing they would all give it their best effort every game. Honestly, what more could a person ask?

It was the first Quidditch game of the season and Hesperia was excited! She had been preparing for this all summer and was super excited. It was also Csuri's debut as captain and the teen wanted to make sure her friend's vision for the team was achieved. Hes had clipped the Vice Captain pin to her uniform and grabbed her broom, joining the rest of the team assembled thus far on the pitch. She started her warm up stretches, then glanced over at Csuri and gave her a reassuring thumbs up. Hes had the utmost confidence in her friend and Captain.

This year was bound to be a battle of titans because most of the teams were older and had more experience, but there were some less experienced players that were firecrackers. Vikram was ready to defend his goalposts and prevent anyone from scoring, hoping that his chasers afforded him some extra protection. The teen glanced over at Csuri and huffed a little sigh. He still felt bad for undermining her, but he was dead set on helping to fulfill her vision for the Quidditch team. He smirked as he looked around at the stands, waving at their adoring fans.

The young chessmaster was taking to the field, curious as to how this season would unfold. All the teams had new leadership this time around, and there was a mix of inexperienced and veteran players, and there was more. With Zack graduating, the Knapp Wars which dominated Hogwarts Quidditch for the better part of a decade, were over, as there was only a single Knapp on the first team rosters, and she was Kas’ opposite number on the pitch today. This would be the first real test of Csuri’s ability to lead the team, and how well this match went would go a long way towards giving him a sense of how the rest of the season would go.
Kas walked over to where Hes was getting ready for the match. While he would have appreciated being selected to be Vice-Captain, and he’d been initially rankled at being passed over, he was glad for his lady friend’s chance to be a leader. As he got close, he said to her in a low voice, “We got this. If you want, I’ll make dinner tonight.” As was his usual, he would watch over her, and the rest of the team, of course, and do his best to hold marauding Bludgers at bay.

Zoe jogged onto the pitch, following her teammates closely. It was the first game of the year and her first game ever. She had been practicing, obviously, in preparation for today, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t still a bit nervous. The Slytherin Beaters had years of experience on her, this wasn’t their first go at a green player like herself. Still, she did her best to swallow these feelings to focus on the game. She hadn’t missed a practice, the various plays her team captain had run through with them all playing out like a movie in her head. Yeah, they could do this. Where the other team had experience on her, so did her teammates have experience on her as well, and that leadership would take them to victory. Zoe looked around at her teammates, nodded in certainty, and prepared to play.

Savino was expecting things to be like last year, sitting on the sidelines. What made that worse was that his cousin Corin was trying out for the team. He had to make it now. If Corin managed it and he didn't then there would be a major problem. Savino was very happy to see he had done enough to get on the starting line up. What shocked him even more was that his first year cousin also made the team along side him. This was going to be interesting.
Savi walked down to the pitch, prepared for the game head. He was certain that Slytherin could beat Ravenclaw. Sure it was the first game but they had it in them. Waiting for the game to begin, he focused on the end goal. Get the quaffle and get it passed the Ravenclaw keeper.

Corin wasn't sure what he was expecting out of tryouts. Did he truly expect to make the starting line up? No, truthfully he did not. Though he was happy about the outcome it was going to be nerve racking. Corin being a first year was shocked to see his name along side his cousin on the team lineup. How did he even manage it? Would be able to bring value to the table? Corin sure hoped so. He wanted to prove it to himself and the team that he was meant to be there in that spot.
Walking onto the field not to far behind his cousin, Corin hoped to do well. This was his first official game. He'd never really played Quidditch despite it being a thing his father used to do at school. Either way he did enough to make it this far, better start looking like it. Trying to put on a look that said "I'm ready for this", Corin anxiously waited for the quaffle to be tossed.
