The Machine [Open/Accepting]

((Meh. Let's continue, maybe. I have a feeling Shadow is good at hiding and would be ditching the uniform, or still pretending to be a soldier. Unless you think a timeskip would be better. Think it should take that long for Jian to wake up or should the doctor help him get going right then?))

((I don't think it should take him too long to wake up. I would also say Shadow ditched the uniform right after she got in Mt. Angelo.))

Jian slowly got up and shook his head. "Ouch..." he muttered and softly swore as he rubbed his neck. He looked around, slightly confused as he looked at the doctor. "How long was I out?" He asked.

"About a half an hour." The doctor replied.

Jian rubbed his temples, swearing again. He had her and his grip just had to slip.

"She'll be back, begging for our protection. Mt. Angelo's security can't stop the group after her" Damien said to Jian. "You good to move?" Damien then asked Jian.

"Yes... I think so..." He replied, wincing slightly when he had to use his hands to push himself up. He stood up, dusting himself off, and was happy when he was handed his jacket, which had been cleaned while he was knocked out. "Just in case, should we contact the priestess and tell her about our situation? As much as I want to avoid contacting her, if our soldiers get discovered in her territory, it may cause major problems."

"Hmm. Yes. Plus...hopefully this will not happen...but if Shadow does get assassinated while in Mt. Angelo, then the blame will probably fall to us. It could cause a catastrophe" Damien replied. "We'd best get to that as soon as possible."

"Alright then." Jian replied. "Should we... visit them directly? It may be a lot less troublesome then sending a message when we're this close."  

[Eternal_PrinceOfFire]

"It's not that close from here. Even by helicopter it would take a little while. Then again, we never know who may have tapped our connection. It might be best to visit just to avoid unwanted eavesdroppers" Damien said.

Jian nodded. "Alright. Do you want to go ahead and leave now?" he asked, wafting to the helicopter.

"Might as well, unless you want to do a quick camp inspection. But, I don't think we have time right now..." Damien said.

"Indeed." Jian replied, boarding the helicopter. He waited for Damien to also board as the driver got in place as well as their escorts.

Damien sat in the helicopter and said nothing as it took off. He was still in a sour mood. They were so close. Just his luck that Shadow would slip out at that moment.

((Time skip to Mt. Angelo? ))

The helicopter took of and headed towards Mt. Angelo as Jian looked out the window with a frown. "I'm sorry. I had her and she still got away."

"Well, you tried at least" Damien said as the helicopter made its way across the empire to Mt. Angelo.

After about an hour and a half or so, the helicopter touched down at Mt. Angelo and Damien stepped out. He didn't like that it was a short notice visit, but it was important enough to do so.

Jian stepped out after Damien as a few of the Mt. Angelo guards went to greet them.

"Excuse me. Can we help you?" He asked, obviously confused.

"Did the message not get through to the Grand Priestess? I thought that we had a message sent ahead of time for an urgent meeting. If not, well I hate to barge in, but we need to see the Priestess at this moment" Damien said.
