She holds onto Officer Dougherty's arm tightly as she grins warmly at him as they walk down the corridor. She gets out her key opens up the door and he closes it after them once they enter.*

Yes, well, being straight forward can be taken one of two ways: either you're seen as honest and to the point or rude and demanding. I seem to usually be labeled the second in my experience.
