Well this will be a pretty heavy introduction because your invitation caught me at a crucial turning point in my life.

I'm a 41 yr old woman and have been on this site since 05, at that time I was working on a lot of writing. This last year has been pretty brutal. I was hit by a car and eventually had to have knee surgery to fix the damage so I could work again and start over. I was less than a month away from this when I found out I had cancer. This was a couple weeks ago.

Sometime in the beginning of June I'll be having surgery that I hope will be enough to remove the cancer. I find out for sure after the operation but so far things look good.

Anyway I just wanted people to know what's happening if I'm on and off in the guild this next month. This looks like a great guild and I think I'll like it here.

One thing about this last year is that it's made me think and I'm not going to waste any more time. I want to write the books I was working on and do the art kept putting off.

Yeah, stuff like that is hard to come to terms with, even for strong people. The fact that you're still sane shows that you're a very strong person, though, and because of that I'm sure you'll do fine and make it through.
