After several of sitting and doing nothing other than listening to the same song over and over again which started to make Sephiroth want to break the machine even if it meant blowing his cover, Mindy moved her head back and forth as if looking around, got up and went to what was apparent to be a secrete place for treasures, and got out an old beat up copy of The Tale of Peter Rabbit. She handed the book to the one who was carrying her earlier and he read it, but she seemed to get the benefit of having someone else read it. This was probably the point in time near the end of where Xun was carrying Adur over the abyss for this one to be awake to read it.
Other than the puppet casings and other things expected in a mage's room, Sephiroth noticed she had a couple kid drawings on the wall of what appeared to be her and what he assumed to be how Jiluzix looks to her along with a couple dolls and puzzles. A couple of the pictures had grass fields, trees, flowers, and such. Mindy's room was organized seeming and mostly clean.
Something about the pictures on the wall bothered Sephiroth though... they didn't seem old with aging paper unless she put some spell on it. They seemed to be more recent drawings and with her fascination with the picture book he was given the impression that her mental age, not necessarily her knowledge, was similar to that of the body she was in. That didn't make much sense though... even Dan and Daisy were mentally older than they appeared. This girl had to be much older than them, maybe even closer to the age of Jacob to be a mage as far as he knew.

Jacob stumbled for a moment, straining with the effort to fight against those words and to submit to them. Something about them was so tempting, until one of the undead realized what was going on, and helped the necromancer and other livings fight against the mind affecting words spoken.
It was the general consensus that surrendering would be a horrible idea. Not bothering with such thoughts or silly sayings like "Over our dead bodies", they decided to speak with action instead. Jacob instantly splintered off and killed (albeit very painfully) some shards of his bones, sending them careening towards his targets, hoping to make contact. Should they pierce, they would grow as much as possible, damaging their victims internally.
Fal'Jenul took to having tendrils of her colorful fog wisps wrap around people's limbs, enhancing their ability to heal faster and hopefully react faster. Around so many people at once though, this would be diluted more.
The angels developed energies into their hands, ready to discharge them as projectiles to assault with, while the imps tried to stay out of the way, but offer whatever help they could with their electrical properties.

What little bits of bone that did not got incinerated, where captured by Xun's magic, the elite guard grinning nastily as he twisted the now dead tissue into something more sinister. It wasn't much, but he grew them as much as they would allow into tiny skeletons with sharp claws. They collapsed onto the ground like puppets, then suddenly stood ramrod straight up like on string, distant red dot glows in their sockets. The things hissed as they rushed, ready to stab and claw into the hero's group.
Xun himself muttered some strange tongue in a deep, demonic gutteral tone as he stepped back, gesturing for Adur, Alpha, and his little skeletons to take the lead as he prepared something they felt had strong energy in the air.
Being slightly winded from his disappointingly ineffectual attack (that would have been rather vicious if it had worked), Jacob stumbled back abit, trying to shake off the allure of Adun's words. This granted the viciousness of one of the skeletons to stab him in both a thigh and the back of his knee, causing him to fall to the ground with a slight yelp of pain. Immediately, Fal'Jenul focuses more of her energies into healing the fallen necromancer, while blasts of energy are sent at the little skeletal abominations from Milaku and Thas. The things had suddenly grown thorns and spikes all over their bones, proving too dangerous to pick up and throw off with bare hands. The holy blasts had the added benefit of slightly healing Jacob's wounds as well if they grazed him.
One such creature seemed to drink of Jacob's spilt blood and suddenly doubled in sized, growling evilly. It's finger claws elongated into Freddy Krueger like blades as it leaped for Rosemary's face.

*Boom!*
The midget like skeletal monster shattered, most of it's mass burnt up due to the thermite. What little did remain reformed into a slightly smaller than original skeleton.
Jacob finally got the other several skeletons off him, but not before they supped on his blood. They had grown, some to half the size of a man, and changed into different forms... less humanoid, more beastial like. They didn't make the same jumping or leaping mistakes that their kin did.
It was in fact one of those creatures that had a blade jutting out of it's wrist that had nearly chopped off one of Rosemary's appendages, had she not moved.
Fal'Jenul opened her mouth, letting out a breath of blue fog that separated into several cloudy, translucent spheres. They took care of the majority of the hell flames, or "holy fire" that chased the angels, though there were still flames that attempted to lick and burn at them.
Jacob concentrated, mentally communicating with Veni quickly to make it look like he had some form of shadow or unknown magic. Stabbing his blade into the ground, he chanted a few words that simply enhanced his own blade, making phantom copies of it for Veni to quickly use and throw from behind the trio niearcim at their sides and backs if at all possible.

While slightly damaging, stabbing Xun in more sensitive, less armored areas may have been a mistake... he had been still in the middle of casting a hefty spell, one that was somewhat dangerous as well...
... He faltered in his chanting, grunting, then swearing under his breath when he was stabbed in an area in his lower back where his torso armor and lower armor met. It wasn't too damaging, but it caused him to stumble forward, a small spurt of blackened blood spilling from the wound. If he weren't undead, that would have been something vital.
Red, angry energies formed around Xun, screaming in the air as they suddenly caused his hands to explode violently from the uncontrolled output. Thas tried to free himself from the painful bear trap, but was caught up by a stream of red glow that tore off one of his legs... at least it was the one in the trap.
Xun: "The spell has been ruined! Watch yourselves! There's no telling the effects now!"
Fal'Jenul struggled with her own bindings, while Milaku tried to help her and barely nudged her aware from a couple of the glowing strands of energy. One of them impacted with a wall and exploded greatly, sending out large amounts of stone and debris. One strand blasted through Adur's thigh, mixing with the blood and gore of Mindy's puppet, somehow reacting in such a manner that when it finally impacted with another wall, it opened a portal... Straight into Mindy's home. The best guess later on would be that due to her connection with the puppet, the random effect of the energy caused a gateway to be opened. On the other side, Sephiroth could clearly see what was going on.
One of the skeletons was smacked with energy as well... and grew into a giant that had to hunch over.... it's eyes bleed and glowed angrily.... Xun seemed happy at first, then frowned.
"It's out of my control!"
One of the giant skeletal creature's arms morphed into a spiked bony club and smashed into the ground near the Niearcims.... missing fortunately, but forced them to dodge... it then tried it's luck with the other group, flailing it's powerful melee limb at them.
