Spotting someone familiar walking toward and into the gates, Jae's gazed stayed glued to the Sanmiitai siblings. No wonder I couldn't find them... They hadn't even been in the village. Jae bit down on her bottom lip and let out a clipped sigh. She should stay out of it, let him reap what he sowed but she couldn't. Getting to her feet she stalked over to Samuru, nonchalantly. Raising a hand and waving it she smiled at him as if there was nothing wrong with him coming up the path leading into the village instead of out of it like the rest of them had. "Did you find it?" She asked aloud, speaking as if she had sent him to find something for her. He didn't know she was assigned to a team including the three of them. Hopefully he caught on. Pausing a polite distance away she didn't approach more than she needed to. Clasping her hands behind her she tried to keep her temper from showing. Body language spoke more than words did sometimes and despite the Hokage being preoccupied she didn't want to chance it that he was watching and suspected something. "You should join your sister. It's dangerous out here right now. Sorry for poorly timing the assignment." She bluffed, maintaining that empty smile. Rakuin had told her that Samuru and Maylee had been talking things out together but she hadn't known they were doing it outside of the village. It bothered her for reasons unknown.

I do not cooperate with nameless strangers." This was a threat. He would realize that the next word he said would be his last. He was with a single unit and if he looked around he would realize he had many eyes watching them. Surrounded even, did they even stand a chance? Noctis looked around at all the people that had gathered.He noticed someone running into the village through the gates him being at the entrance it was impossible for him not to notice what was she doing, it was Maylee. Who allowed her to leave the village? His eyes following the direction she came from they landed behind the group. Standing there was Samuru the Hokage's gazed almost seemed to penetrate him. He was behind the group of UHV, he never saw him come from the village and circle around them, no it was like he was just arriving himself from the same route. He had defied his orders and left the village? Noctis showed no emotion in front of the nameless UHV. He would deal with it after, he just decided to watch the UHV. Would they walk away or be slaughtered?

Oh, how she could stalk. Samuru felt his ears go red beneath his hair and he kept his own face blank as Jae came up to him "...." he didn't respond to her question, not because he didn't understand it but because he had no desire to involve her in what was soon to be his own trouble. He turned his head away from her, seeing May make it safely into the village, and his gaze locked with the Hokage's. Defiance? Nope. Anger? Nada. Shame? Not a hint. He just blinked obliquely at Noctis and looked at the group of strangers this time. He had heard the Kage's words and couldn't help but think he was being kind of stupid. These strangers, though Samuru didn't know what had been said, were clearly provoking Noctis for the man to voice a murder threat. He continued to look, appearing a little like a space case, at the group even as he finally responded to Jae "No. I want to stay with you." A declaration. Not only of his unwillingness to leave the area....but something more? An indication of where his mind was at? Samuru's face remained absent of any indicative emotion, waiting.

"No I want to stay with you." It took all of Jae's concentration not to say anything she might regret. Looking away from him she counted in her head, 1...2....3...4... in order to calm herself down. She was still upset from earlier. They hadn't resolved anything and had only left things unsolved. Ending with his blow up on her. Jae returned her gaze to his own, angry and hurt. Hearing the Hokage's orders it had been made very clear what was to happen if the intruders did not fall in line. Clenching her fists she looked to those shinobi who had upset their Kage. Her expression was clear as she did so. "Do what you want, it's not like I can stop you anyway." There was no tone, no expression to her voice. Jae walked away, heading closer to the Hokage from behind to the left. Pausing a safe distance back she kept her eyes trained on people who had pushed Noctis's buttons. Jae refused to look at Samuru now, her nickname holding true. She could be an ice queen when she wanted to.
The large man looked down to his feet, feeling a sudden shift in their air. This shift was entirely metaphorical, but held a great deal of weight. For in this moment, the balance of the world rested on his shoulders. In the many years prior, no smaller village had dared stand up to one of the great five, and those villages stomped around the smaller ones like it was their play thing. That attitude, it seemed, was alive and well today.
The vows he took joining the Union Military were put to the test. What else was a man supposed to do when his back was pressed to the wall? If he returned to his superiors, he would then let a terrorist, killer, murderer, and scoundrel slip through their fingers knowingly. And if they tried to further their investigation, Konoha had already threatened them once before. The large man let out a sigh, and spoke a few simple words.

Nobody wanted war. Then world had stayed in a constant state of striff for too long. This outfit wasnt even a battle brigade, it was an escort convoy on a diplomatic mission. But the negotaitions never took place, only a blatant push around, a government not recognizing another right to rule or its legitimacy. It was like one form of life was more important than another form of life. The large man bowed his head.
What did you tell a man who knew he was about to die to uphold his own personal morals, values, and ideals? Im sorry your road was so short, or congratulations for sticking it out in the long haul. It seemed his words would be ones that would echo throughout the world.
Before any orders could be made a messenger came running up just behind the unit to deliver a message to their commander. The man whispered "Sir, new orders." As the large man read over his new orders before feeding it to his dogs to destroy it he signaled for his men to move out. It seems that the higher ups had other plans.
As the men began to leave the commander just sneered up at the wall. Surely these shinobi of the leaf had seen the amount of fire power that that they carried with them. His dogs snarled and barked before they turned to leave quickly from the leaf village. He did not like swallowing this pill, but orders were orders. He did breath a slight sigh of relief for the moment. War would come, but it would not be this day.
Using the leapfrog method behind the powerful cover, the military retreated stealthily into the trees to return home. They would be back however, this was not the last of the UHV that this village of the leaf would see.
Taka moved the moment the other soldiers started to. She simply spun behind the guard post, lifted a sewer grate and dropped inside. She started to move deeper into the village at this point, not caring to engage the group. The kage would deal with them in mass and she wasnt needed. She stuck her hands into her pocket and simply moved deeper into the village

Watching the foreign shinobi retreat, Jae stayed tense. Looking to Noctis she clenched her fists and moved to his side, placing her hands on her hips. She had almost gotten involved in something huge, they were involved in something huge and she had no idea why. He had some explaining to do."What the hell was that all about?!" She snapped, sweeping her arm out toward the retreated shinobi.

Noctis yawned, he had been feeling tired lately, he wasn't getting enough sleep because of how sick he felt at night. His eyes would gaze of the path where the UHV retreated. Their weapons were interesting, must have been the weapons from the shipment papers Rin brought him. Then his gaze turned to Samuru he motioned for him to come to him.

Azure pupils dilated in her furry. Was he dropped on his head as a child or was he just naturally this stupid. You might think this is some joke to you but none of us want to go to war. Haven't you heard of the bigger they are the harder they fall. If you give them incentive they will figure out a way to make things harder for Konoha and in defense we could lose a lot of good people or are our lives meaningless to you." Her chest heaved with her anger. As he called Samuru over she clenched her jaw. Snapping her head in Samuru's direction she glared at him, holding a hand up that in any language indicated she wanted him to halt and stay where he was. For once she was not trying to jab at him. Jae was sick and tired of Noctis just doing whatever he felt like. Even before being appointed Hokage he had this nasty habit of doing that. "What do you want with my student?" She asked, her tone clipped. Turning her heated gaze on his own Jae buckled in. She was not going to back off this time and let him do what he wanted to do. Not without her having control for once.

Watching the tension dissipate in the gates, Samuru let his own body relax for the moment. Now he could figure out what he'd done to piss Jae off. Again. Seeing Jae move towards Noctis and hearing her, he paused to watch out of curiosity. It was nice to not be on the receiving end this time. But it seemed running off was not the best idea as Noctis motioned to him ...great... he approached warily, his gaze heavy. Now he had two angry looks on him and he stopped at Jae's motion, tilting his head a bit to eye her. She was on a roll right now, it seemed, and he stood quietly with his hands clasped behind his back "....."Student? Was Noctis still on about that? And why was Jae saying it? he frowned in a little annoyance, at Noctis, and confusion, at Jae.

Noctis continued staring off to the distance, slowly the scenery changed from a sunny day to a furious snowstorm. Jae's words ringing in the background, the the storm in his mind would be deadly to normal people to him it was marvelous. His homeland, he spent so much timing despising it and hating it but now more than ever he just wished to see it. And then it was gone Noctis blinked a few times, was he going crazy now? It wasn't just a daydream, it was more like a hallucination. Noctis reached up to his face and wiped his face with his hand before continuing to stare. When Jae said that their lives were meaningless to him he slowly looked up at the sky."The UHV isn't looking to be friends with us Jae, they didn't unite for the sole purpose of protecting themselves. Or what would be the purpose of extending themselves into the land of fire. They don't want coexistence...they want domination." He then turned to her."At this time, we cannot show them fear. Or they will pounce on us. We must show them that the Leaf will not simply bow to their every whim. Why else would they have brought so many people for a diplomatic mission."Then Noctis noticed Samuru stop with Jae hand in the air."I remember you telling me multiple times that he wasn't your student.
