The Machine [Open/Accepting]

"You mean the tropical storm? I actually thought it would be here by now. I'll escort you two out then." Lianne sighed. "Quickly. This way. I don't want to be spotted." She said, turning and speed walking down the hall.

Damien followed quickly. He wanted to get out of there as soon as he could. "So what should we do about the helicopter. Just leave it here?" he asked, turning to the Chief General.

"I guess so." Jian replied.

Lianne stopped and turned to Damien and Jian. "Wait, if you're not taking your helicopter, how do you plan on leaving?" Lianne asked. "The city has good transportation, but outside it's country roads and farmland. There isn't a major city for hours by car and the cross country trains have been closed all day to brace for the storm. It's a class 4 out of 5."

"Hmm. That would mean that the patrol around the perimeter would be getting called in. We wouldn't be able to get a hold of them. We could possibly lay low in the helicopter until we get to the nearest base, but that would be risking it" Damien said out loud, but at the same time was thinking it to himself. "If the trains have stopped going, is it worth leaving?"

"I guess we're stuck." Jian replied, rubbing his temples.

Lianne let out a small sigh. These two were the last people she wanted to get stuck with, and she was already far to busy to keep them out of trouble.

On the far end of the hall, being led by a nun was a young woman with long black hair wearing a torn Diethelm uniform with the logo also ripped off to prevent it from being recognized. A torn gray cloak was sitting on her shoulders and covering her head. "This way." The nun leading her smiled as she looked away for a brief moment before following the nun down a different hall.

"H-hey, isn't that one of our uniforms?" Jian asked, barely spotting her.

"Well it's either a deserter, or...could it be?" Damien stated after looking at the person for a moment. Was it really Shadow there? If so, how could they get her back?

"Wait, you don't think she would have..." Jian replied.

"You two wouldn't happen to be talking about the prisoner are you?" Lianne asked with curiosity.

"Maybe" Damien replied. He then turned back in the direction the mysterious person headed down. "What is down that way?" the asked Lianne.

"It's the hospitality ward for the poor." Lianne replied. "We heal and help the poor and they work odd jobs for us until they can get independent jobs and support themselves."

"Well, she was beading during the escape. She might have come to get medical assistance." Jian replied.

"Hmm. Taking to strong an approach might scare her off, if it turns out to be her. Plus, the people who live and work here might not be too impressed with us" Damien said, once again thinking out loud.

"Perhaps I should get some of the nuns to look into it for me. What does this person look like. It would be really bad if it was the wrong person." Lianne told him.

Damien started to give a description of Shadow, plus the image she had after being put in disguise. "I hope that's specific enough. At least she has some distinguishing features that set her apart a little from other women. She may not be too hard to find, provided that she doesn't try to slip past you every time" he said.

"Alright then. I'll have them look into it. In the mean time, feel free to relax since the two of you are staying anyway." She sighed. "I have to go meet with the King, Queen, and Crown Prince of Gardenia for dinner, so I won't be able to see you until after, but I will deliver your message beforehand."

Damien stretched. "I guess we have some free time for now. We'll have to find a spot to batten down the hatches until the storm passes over. I hope the guest area is well protected" he said to Jian.

"Don't worry." Lianne assured him. "This place is nearly a thousand years old and has survived much worse without any problem. The outside walls of this place are over a yard thick at least. Well, I will be going now." Lianne replied, turning and gracefully rushing back to her room.

"That's assuring... Yeah, lets go find a place to relax." Jian nodded. "But you know, I wonder what she was doing out in a nun outfit."
