Watching as he spaced out and then snapped out of his daze, her gaze lost it's intensity for a fraction of a second as she went against her better judgment and worried. That didn't last however his comments left her feeling even more frustrated than before. These Shinobi were looking to prove themselves and they now found the first village to target. It had nothing to do with diplomacy, show of strength or who was the bigger village. They had come to see what exactly they were up against. Showing fear? She had never said such a thing. She had no idea what he was talking about, for of course he hadn't uttered a word about what was going on. She hated working with no information. Another reason why she was so upset. He had called them without informing them of anything. Fear? They were unorganized and had weak leadership. That was what they needed to worry about the most. "You assigned me the team, despite better judgment. Remember..." Before she could finish he was slipping past her and was already before Samuru. Gritting her teeth she moved as well, coming up beside Samuru a few steps behind Noctis, of course. She wasn't going to budge. Not when Samuru was concerned. "It has nothing to do with being a man! He's my student, where I send them to train has nothing to do with you." Her cheeks were flushed, her expression displaying her rage. "You owe me Noctis." She said, her voice dropping an octave lower. Following his orders she had lost not only her father but had not had the chance to stay behind to help when Yukigakure had fallen. She would have preferred to die there at the time but had placed duty before her feelings. Orders that he had assigned to her.

Noctis closed his eyes when Jae spoke, almost cringing but it wasn't her voice exactly it was the volume. He was getting another headache and her words actually hurt him, in his head at least. He reopened his eyes like nothing."Then you should really be more cautious, your group was just attacked, and you know sending a genin outside the walls is not allowed without my permission, even with a chunnin."

Samuru glared at Noctis as the Hokage entered his space, his face a mask of dislike. He stood almost four inches taller then the Hokage at only 16yrs and was still growing. Having to be berated by this....this moron who didn't know his own villages corrupt insides provoked Samuru's own fury. And, again, before he could do or say anything, Jae was there, speaking in his place. He liked that she was next to him but it didn't change anything So she's been assigned us? All of us... he thought, still glaring at the Hokage. He spoke of caution? What did Noctis know of caution, nearly beginning a fight outside the very gates! Kage or not, Samuru held no respect for this man who simply flung himself and his village into danger. Jae was still angrily speaking but Samuru had heard enough from Noctis "I took this mission to help my little sister." he said firmly, his arms still crossed as he continued to glare "She needs training. And she has not gotten it since only now have you assigned us a teacher, after a year since we received our headbands. I'll not see my sister dead in the streets because you neglected to act before now." Samuru wasn't about to stand down in front of this man "If you had failed here, her lack of training would have gotten her killed if those men had pierced the village. And so you may scold me and reprimand me for doing what I can to prepare her but it is you who would have caused her death. Through lack of action. Caution will not save lives when a shinobi life is all about survival. We do not learn through inactivity." Jae was probably going to be mad at him again and be icy to him and yell at him....but Samuru had had enough "A shinobi risks death in living. One attack should not be enough to shut down an entire village and you placed myself in lock down based on a single attack. How am I to learn if I am trapped here?" Samuru leaned his head back, taking a deep breath "Being attacked...it is what we live with. And it is no safer in the village then outside of it. Again, I say. I'll not see my little sister slaughtered, as I saw my father, within the gates. I admit no mistake. I give no apology. I did what is necessary to give my family the skill to protect themselves when you withheld aid." he glanced at Jae "But as you have assigned us a teacher...I will happily submit to any reprimand SHE decides to place on me. I am in her hands."

Noctis's smile threw her off. Her anger faltered for a fraction of a second. It was Samuru's vehement defense of his actions that rekindled that flame. Why are guys such, such buttheads?! Samuru's explanation for his reasoning behind training his sister made it hard to find fault within him but Jae was still upset. How could he have thoughtlessly gone outside of the village? Was he looking to purposefully put himself in the Hokage's radar and scolding or had there been other reasons for him having to go outside of the village to train Maylee. Jae trusted Samuru, he didn't do things haphazardly so it was this instance where she felt distance from him even more, when he did things that she didn't understand. Looking to Noctis Jae caught his momentary slip in composure. He's been acting weird... She thought to herself, the closing of his eyes could have been mistaken for a simple gesture where one tries to collect their thoughts but then he had been so spaced out earlier. He continued as if nothing had happened. "I accept responsibility for this mistake. " Looking to Samuru she fought the urge to smack him in the arm as he continued to dig his own grave and ended it with his last statement. I HATE playing teacher! I should have just said hell no! An uneasy look crossed her features as she crossed her arms over her chest. "His punishment is probably a lot more lenient than what I have in mind...." The pink haired kunoichi muttered under her breath.

Noctis looked at Samuru."You are really clueless aren't you? But it's ok, you remind me of myself when I was younger. So full of anger, I can see your mouth foaming."Noctis smiled at the boy. He was really an idiot wasn't he? The reason they didn't have a teacher was because a year ago they didn't have teachers to go around for everyone. Jae was on her extended leave, his wife was busy taking care of the kids to teach or do missions that much. Masahiro just returned after his trip and the other jounin had their own teams and assignments. But of course this boy was too stupid to even look around. Hearing Jae he smirked, he got himself into deeper s**t them Noctis would ever do."You should go easy on him Jae, He's still just a kid they make mis-"Noctis words cut off as he dropped to the floor suddenly. Guards from their post rushed over, spouting Hokage-sama's asking what happened. Noctis being unconscious and unable to control himself his breathing was now labored. Had he been controlling his breathing to seem it was normal? Sweat brimmed his forehead and it would feel hot to the touch. A fever, a dangerously high one too.

The Kunoichi's face contorted slightly as Noctis compared his younger self to the Samuru who stood at present. Uh oh... Jae reached out and gripped Samuru's arm above the elbow, immediately after Noctis uttered that reckless sentence. "I don't think that's appropriate, Hokage san. " She chirped. Both were idiots. Temperamental, stubborn and testosterone filled idiots. He was about to tell her that he was just a kid when suddenly his sentence was clipped short by a prolonged punctuation on silence from his end. In a fluid motion Noctis was falling, Jae moving instinctually to catch him. Her grip on Samuru loosened and then detached as she plunged for Noctis. She gripped Noctis's arm and tried to support him like that but his body weight was greater than her own and his body sagged awkwardly downward. It was dead weight which made it worse. Guards, who had been silent prior, were in a flurry of movement. They helped prop the Hokage upward, two guards taking him by either side. Jae's anger and frustration was gone in an instant. What the hell?! Was it the foreign shinobi?! Had they done something to him. She looked up and around to see if she could spot a retreating figure but saw none. Something was wrong with him. His breathing was labored and his head was already perspiring. Was he poisoned? Reaching into her pouch pocket, she pulled out her kunai and slipped into a more commanding mode. "Take him to the hospital, immediately. You three, flank the Hokage and you two are going to lead up ahead!" She ordered, commanding a few of the guards who had just arrived a second later than the others. She wasn't sure what was going on, had he just been attacked.
Jae moved to follow but paused. Samuru. She turned to look at him, her face pale and her expression showing her worry. "I'm going to the hospital." Jae understood how much he hated going to the hospital so it was another way for her to say I'll see you later. She didn't expect him to follow her. She had to make sure that Noctis hadn't just been assassinated before their eyes. Once again duty was outranking her personal life. There were still a lot of unsaid things between Samuru and Jae, issues that hadn't been addressed. Her gaze saddened somewhat. Maybe what had happened at the river had been some hallucination or one time thing. It probably wasn't meant to be. Looking away from Samuru she didn't wait to hear what he had to say, following after the Hokage and his emergency entourage.

Dai appeared outside of the gates with Kein's body. She walked up to the gate and spoke with an Anbu. "I need to speak to Noctis, it's important." She told them as she kept an eye on one of them as they hovered over Kein's body that was wrapped in paper. "It's a body. Do you mind?" She asked him. She looked at the Anbu that was talking to her. "Please let him know I'm here."
The anbu were slightly reproached by the womans response though they complied as they spoke," Who does the body belong to? Surely you cannot expect see the hokage with just anyone's body." The anbu held his hand above his right shoulder signaling for four more to appear flanking the girl.

Dai looked at all the Anbu that started to flank her. "The body is Kein Uchiha. So, I demand to see Noctis, who has every right to know that his Sannin has died." She spoke out right to the Anbu. "And I'll be the one to deliver Kein to your Kage." She told them.
The anbu relaxed their stance a bit as the lead anbu spoke," So the mighty Kein has fallen. Proceed. Hes been taken to the hospital. Fox, Cat. Go with this woman."

If Jae had not put a hand on his arm, had not spoken up, Samuru would have hit the Hokage. He was like Noctis? Never. Clueless? Not so much as this fool. When the man collapsed, Samuru didn't move, feeling Jae leave his side, he just looked at her for a moment.....then she left. After a moment, he left too, left before the body of Kein was brought to the gates.

Ceres let out a long sigh before crossing her arms, nothing of real importance happened. This village was boring to her, and without second thought she walked out of the shadows where she was standing and began to walk around the city. She really had no goal in life, she had one friend and no family and the one said friend whom she liked a lot had someone she was in love with. She was half tempted to just leave the village once again though this time might result in her not being able to return and see Taka ever again. She had gotten lucky that she didn't get in trouble for leaving the village. The cloaked female seemed to bump into people randomly as she walked, seemingly from being in deep thought though the truth is old habits die hard. Her hand would slip into the nearest pocket when ever she bumped into someone and remove what ever was in it with out notice. As a kid even if she was caught she rarely got in trouble for it but now there could be some issues but she didn't care much she really didn't care about anything at the moment.
