The Machine [Open/Accepting]

"Stop what?" Damien asked, then snorted. He laughed a few for times, but seemed to calm down. "Ha haha!! Haha! HAha! Ha....heh....ha..heh....whew"

"Feeling better?" Shadow sighed, mentally thanking the heavens that he was calming down. He was bad enough when he was sound of mind, but she didn't want to see how unpredictable he would be if he wasn't.

"Sort of" Damien replied. He still had the giggles, but he was no longer rolling on the ground clutching his gut and laughing at everything.

"Ok." She replied. "Good. I don't want to keep dragging you around until your head gets cleared. Looks like your friend will need a little more time though." She said, looking back Jian.

Damien sat down on the ground and looked up at the sky. He was still giggling. "I wonder who that was" he said, referring to the assassin. He then giggled again.

"I don't think it matters as much considering we know how he does it and I capped the guy in the knee. He'll either have to give up or change his methods." Shadow replied. "I just hope he wasn't working with a group."

Damien got up and walked over to Jian to see how the Chief General was doing. Was he getting over his giggles now too?

Jian's laughter had turned to giggles as he looked up at Damien. "This... he heh... this sucks." He chuckled.

Shadow sat down against the wall, checking her gun. She took off her helmet and grabbed her side. The wound in her side had reopened earlier and was staining the borrowed armor, and she breathed slowly to try to hid the pain.

"Yeah..." Damien replied. He took in a large breath and let out a sigh. His laughter was pretty much gone now, even the giggles. Now he was just tired.

((Is it bad that when Damien said he was tired, I immediately though of Emily Autumn singing 'sing me to sleep. sing me to sleep. I'm tired and I want to go to bed'? ))

"What I wouldn't give for a single night in my own bed... after a full year of his bull s**t..." Shadow muttered. She let out a small sigh, gripping her side as the wound started to close up again. Still, she was beginning to feel faint and a little dizzy, half from sleep loss and half from blood loss.

Jian's laughter finally died as he took a few deep breaths. He was also exhausted, and tempted to sleep right there on the cold floor.

Damien bent down and helped Jian up. "Well, I suppose it won't be a good idea to stick around here. We don't know where that assassin went, or if he's working alone" he said.

"Thanks. I- I think I'm good." Jian muttered, standing up on his own before covering his mouth as he yawned.

"Yeah..." She replied. "Then again, where should we go?" Shadow asked, clutching her side as she used the wall to help her stand up. She felt the dizziness get worse as she did, but she tried not to think about it.

"You alright?" Damien asked, then looked down to where Shadow was clutching her side. "You're injured, aren't you?"

"Yeah... you could say that..." She replied with a deep breath. Damien's image in her eyes began to split into two and then moved back together. 'S***... not now...' she thought.

Damien grabbed Shadow in case she fell and motioned for Jian to do the same. "Which way is the medical area?" he asked.
