Wukong gave Robby a thumbs up. Wisps of flame flared from his nostrils. "Fern!" he complied as he got to work on the potatoes.

Chen Zhen nodded at Robby, falling in line with Robby's orders as he dragged Haizhe out with Vine Whips. Hopefully he could find somewhere to put Haizhe where he wouldn't do something insane until dinner time. [Can you get that headcount?] he asked Salem.

Lancer's suden arrival caused a shiver to run down Salem's body. She lost her concentration, dropping books Haizhe would have picked up if Chen Zhen didn't restrain him with vines. Why do I hate bugs now?

[S-sure,] she told Chen Zhen, telekinetically lifting Lancer up out of the kitchen and dropping him on the couch in the living room next to N. N looked down at the familiar pokemon with a smile.

"Salieri sent him home so he could get better," N told TK. His voice sounded distant. "He's going to be okay..."

****

Zero's cheeks puffed out before she burst into laughter. Genuine with a hint of callousness, which was also genuine. [Are you on a short leash? Or just stupid? Survival is never valuable on it's own.]

She looked out the window at the now visible moon. [Try thriving once in a while.]

****

Salieri's narrowed her eyes at Azucena's, not shifting them away as she stood up straight. She scoffed incredulously. Clearly this girl didn't know everything that had gone on. "Yeah. One of us really was."

She knocked on the door. "Hey! Henrietta!" she shouted.

(Dang interweb)

Robby gave Wukong a sagely nod while the pokemon worked on cleaning and cutting potatoes. The pan was already out, with oil in the fry in. Once his student was finished cutting them, or about half through, the oil could be heated up to fry the potatoes.

As for Robby, he put the rolls into the oven, and looked around the kitchen for the proper ingredients for a salad. Three bowls were put out. One, with the bare essentials for a salad. Lettuce, thinly sliced carrots, and a dash of eggplant. Inside of the second, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, a splash of dressing, and a couple of other found ingredients here and there were thrown in. The third bowl had a small serving for both of the chefs to snack on while they cooked. One or two rolls would be kept for them too, when ready. It was to keep them from getting at the ingredients, mostly, and for use as ingredients in case either had some spark of genius.

Once one of the pokemon came back, he would pass the two bowls for them to carry out for the guests. And once he had the head count, of humans and pokemon, Robby Tobb would decide on what to cook.

[Alright, there ya go.]

Haizhe floated into the room as Chen Zhen flicked the light switch. The black disappeared, replaced by a small but cozy study belonging to Henrietta's parents. A myriad of documents were on the desk, and filled up a few boxes as well. Two bookshelves on the wall were filled to the brim with small novels.

To Haizhe, it was glorious. [My stars...it's beautiful.]
[Yep. Have fun, bud.]
The Frillish looked back at Chen Zhen, his eyes brimming with tears. [Are you true to your word?]
[Sure. Go crazy. But not that crazy.]

A hazy, purple cloud appeared over Haizhe's head. The Night Shade based image changed into a dark thought bubble, filled with a " heart ". And then Haizhe went to town, glomping atop a box of documents and rolling around on the floor gleefully with them.

Chen Zhen shut the door of the study and circled a finger around his head. [Wa-cky,] he said to himself before hurrying back to everyone else.

****

So TK has five, including him. Salem noted as she looked around the living room using her mapping sense. Wayne has four, including him. Henrietta has six, including her. Robby has five, including him. N...

N didn't have any pokeballs. But he knew that the rude Zoroark upstairs was his friend. That's two more. And us, we're six-

Salem hung her head low as she trotted back to the kitchen. No...we're five now...

****

Wukong had to wonder how Robby could be so fat when he ate just as healthy as The Battle Girl did. Probably healthier. Was it an issue of quantity? Or could it all be muscle?

When the oil was up to boil, Wukong dumped the cut potatoes in to fry. He was munching on the snack bowl's contents when Salem came back into the kitchen.

Telekinetically, she lifted up a pen and sloppily scribbled twenty seven dots onto a pad magnetized to the fridge. She didn't know what the number 27 looked like. But she could count up to it, at least.

Then she floated the two other bowls into the living room and placed them on the table.

Tk let out a sigh of relief. For a moment he was contemplating the worse.

"Right, well im gonna head out back to clean and Heal up my Pokemon." he stated. Talking to no one in particular. And with that the Silver Haired Trainer departed out the back.

The door shut with a thud behind him.

"Right then, c'mon out Iron Hide, Spike, Saria!" the tiny trainer called, tossing three pokeballs into the air. With Three flashes of light the three Pokemon were released into the back yard. "Alright Spike, Your up first." Tk called.

"What hurts?"

[My arms are sore and one of my claws are cracked.] "Drill bur bur Drill."

So with that, he'd begin the process of locating injuries, Healing and Cleaning his Pokemon. roughly a 30 minute process with out the aid of his clone. Or rather Clone's now.

During this time he'd reply the days events. from his battle with that Crazy psycho trainer in the plaza. the plump cops death who's name he hadn't received, Steven giving him the police batons, there battle with Celt, The FLF as a whole, Smoshi, and the fact that he had a mentor to teach him Capoeira properly.

'Everything seems emotionally straight forwards. Sure its sad what happened to Luyie Dao, but he's alive and well. a Bunch of people died between the FLF and World Government but that's to be expected...'

Tk stopped waxing Saria's Armor plating. Shocked by what a drastic change he'd made since the pinwheel forest, where he became physically sick when he saw that burnt corpse to now where he hardly even flinched at the notion of FLF agents and WG soldiers slaughtering each other.

'Its only cause the FLF where using Pokemon for acts of terrorism.' he reasoned with himself. But if that was the case then what make's his thinking any different than plasma? there against Pokemon being used as weapons too.

'No, cause what about the dream yard?'

'Yea, Gorm slaughtered a bunch on Munna!'

'Yea, and i killed Olysea.'

'By accident. I feel remorse. Beside's, it was self defense!'

Tk stopped applying salve to Iron Hide's un-armored body area's.

"Great. Now im debating with myself. This Aura Power must be giving my split personalities." With sigh Tk went back to his Pokemon Maintenance.

'I really need some one to put this all into perspective.'

His first choice was N. For unknown reasons. Why, when any of his other Friends where equally good options to talk about this with?

'It's cause he has an Air of understanding' he reasoned with himself. for the rest of his Task of healing up his Pokemon he contemplated how he'd approach the Subject with N.

--------
[Weeee! Do it again! Do it again!] Lancer Chanted after landing on the couch. with out spike there to regulate him he was free to act as youthful as he wanted.

However once he noticed N Sitting next to him he abandoned all attempts of getting Salem to psychic him again. Instead he jumped up in an attempt to Hug his previous traveling Partner.

[N! N! How've ya been?] the small Bug Pokemon asked settling on N's Lap, tilting his head back to look at the Green haired Boy.

Waking Up From A Dream

"Sorry," Henrietta said as she opened the door. Immediately noticable was the crystal on her face. It spelled out a gash right in the middle, almost promising a scar on the bridge of her nose. Her exposed arms and legs promised the same, proof that she hadn't managed to escape Kelt's flurry. The dress covered her torso, half of her thighs, she might be worse or better underneath - she didn't come off as if she noticed at all however.

"Is everyone ready for the meeting?"

***

[Thriving,] Melty repeated. [And how do you thrive?]

***

With TK gone Wayne took the remote and took over the channel surfing.

Salieri took note of Henrietta's injuries and compared them to her own. Thanks to toughened skin comparable to a tire -which was still active all over her body and gave her a nice tan-, Sal had avoided major injury. She had a small bruise on her chin from Celt, and a few minor burns from a redirected Flamethrower. But overall, she was no worse for wear.

Henrietta, on the other hand, looked like she usually did. Injured. Sal wasn't surprised. She did wonder how much of that injury was internal. But she felt that none of their pain could compare to how Liuye Dao must be feeling.

Sal crossed her arms, staring into Henrietta's eyes. "No. You and I aren't ready yet."

The others had been waiting downstairs for a little while now. They could wait a little longer.

"Give us a minute," she told Azucena without looking at the girl.

****

[Well you can't thrive in a pokeball, that's for sure.] Zero eyed an old pokeball on the bookshelf with disdain. [It's the shortest leash you could find. Just burn yours up already. If that girl really cares about you, she'll understand.]

****

N patted Lancer on the head. "I've been holding up well. It's been a long day. How-"

His eyes shifted to the TV. Wayne had just passed a news channel showing a video of Pachi dressed in a towel and addressing the camera.

He got up. "Go back!" he yelled at Wayne, not taking his eyes off the screen.

Azucena looked at Henrietta before shrugging her shoulders and heading downstairs.

Henrietta looked at Salieri, stared at her. "What is it?"

***

[You're very naive,] Melty said. It was almost cute. A one sided window to the world. [The girl likes to put herself at risk, if I fight for her and I end up injured it is easier to survive inside the ball until I am healed. As that is her thing, isn't safety preferable?]

***

Wayne paused. On some lame drama.

"Yeah I guess." He clicked back to Pachi on the screen. "What?"

Azucena had just arrived downstairs, and she turned, about to scold them for lazing about when she saw the television. "That's the lady from the stage."
PostPosted: Thu Jan 24, 2013 1:28 pm

Salieri furrowed her brow at the girl. When Melty had let loose on Celt and came close to frying up her pokemon outside the Big Stadium, Salieri had to hold in her anger at Henrietta until they stopped the FLF.

But she had lost sight of her anger after Liuye Dao almost died. There was a period where she recalled it, but she lost it again after what went down in the alleyway. Now she was more exhausted than anything else, and being angry at Henrietta was taking too much effort.

So she open and closed her mouth, flustered, before reaffirming her angry face.

"Don't think I forgot what happened with Melty outside the stadium. That little creep was a risk to everybody. If you're going to be his trainer, then keep him trained, or else you and I are gonna have problems."

Usually, Sal might take a step closer to help sell that last statement. Instead, she let out a heavy sigh.

"If I scared you back then, I didn't mean to." Not a real apology for threatening to strike her, but apology wasn't Sal's forte. "I just don't-"

She put a hand on her hip and looked at the floor, slowly tapping at it with her toes. "...want to see my pokemon get hurt."

****

Zero shook her head and wagged a claw at Melty. [Safety doesn't equate to freedom. That's what N tells me.]

She leaned forward, grinning and actually looking happy without malice. [Do you know what freedom means? Getting to do whatever you want. Choosing what to do on your own without anything holding you back. That's thriving. You said I'm motivated? It's because that's what I want for all of us.]

****

On the television were freeze frame shots from Pachi's video that was sent to Interpol. An anchorman was giving a voice over.

"-went viral over two hours ago, leaking onto the internet from an unknown source. Analysis of the video has led to the conclusion that is was taped prior to the attack on the Big Stadium from the self proclaimed 'Freedom Liberation Force'. Mayor Ruxpin was last seen evacuating the city, and the World Government has just released word that he is considered a hostage in the hands of the terrorist organization."

"Harmony has the mark," N stated, interrupting the television. "The mark must have been the mayor." The fact that the video was prerecorded made N consider just how valuable the Mayor was to whatever equation the FLF was trying to solve. The fighting must have served as a distraction.

"-and while the Mayor's kidnapping has been officially confirmed, the alleged bomb threat coming from the FLF was thwarted-"

The news feed changed. Now it showed the footage from the cameras inside the stadium focusing on the battle against Pachi on the stage. The clips were cut from many angles. It almost looked like an action movie.

"-by soldiers from the World Government and a band of unaffiliated pokemon trainers. These heroes were first spotted on the stadium's front lawn, battling another member of the FLF before valiantly moving on to the inside."

"Heroes." N took off his hat and ran a hand through his hair. What was previously a monotonous, calculating expression was replaced with a warm smile. He turned to the others in the living room. "They called us heroes."

"Melty consumes life force to survive," Henrietta said. "Keeping him around, training him, it's a deal with the devil. But he's strong, if I train him, I might be able to save more people. But I don't have the same experience as everyone else, and I'm an idiot. But what I want is to help. Melty's on a me only diet, and I'll try harder to train him. I'm sorry for not being strong-

Her phone rang. The little piece of technology, a number she'd never given her parents - but she was easy enough to look up. When she answered her father yelled, loud enough that Salieri would easily be able to hear.

"You skipped your grandfather's funeral to try and get yourself killed!? We sent you to that hospital to get over being suicidal! Henrietta, is this what all those medical bills were about this last week?!"

"I-

"Hey guys!" Wayne called from downstairs. "We're on the news!"

"Oh s**t."

***

[The girl protected me, so I will protect her. That is my freedom.] He paused. Ah, the answer to the equation. A feeling he wasn't known for, his species wasn't known for. New and strange, confusing. Only that he would normally consider to breed weakness, but it had given him the strength to evolve.

[I care.]

Those were the last words he spoke, as he floated through the bed - disappearing once more.

Robby glanced towards the door that had given Wayne's voice, but only for the time it took to encase grill in the metal box. By now, rolls were in the oven, salad out for others to start on, the potatoes were being fried, he'd started on a moonshine stew, the cabbage, some carrots, a few potatoes, along with some unspecified meats being prepared to be put into it. The stove was pretty much taken, especially when you added the hot chocolate, his decision for a calming mechanism for the group.

That meant he had to use the grill he'd managed to make, using the living flame pokemon as a heat source, for the steak bits. Garlic salt and lemon pepper went on some, with normals being used on others, he expected the people to just know by smell or something. And if he had time, he planned to start on a cake, and cupcakes with the excess batter, for desert.

"Student, we gotta ignore all that. Make sure the meat gets finished enough 'fore it goes into the stew. Steak bits get taken up at varyin' times, remember the chart. Moonshine gets added, two splashes after the meat goes in the stew, two splashes in the middle. And keep Grill calm. Can't have the flame get too strong."

He coached, now that the kitchen was really at work. Still, just in case people started coming or left, he swatted Bacon's ball, and sent him out to see what was going on.

And when the pignite saw the news, his jaw dropped. [Whoa. There were cameras?]

Zero watched Melty leave, tilting her head with interest. A normally malevolent species of pokemon protecting a trainer protecting him. Yet he was still bound to a pokeball. How did that work?

[That's...weird,] she mumbled to herself, bemused. She heard Wayne yell downstairs, but she had assumed they'd be on the news as it was, considering all the cameras. A fact that she didn't care for.

So she went back to napping.

****

Wukong snapped his head to the side, pausing from watching the steak to look at Robby at the mention of a certain unfortunate word he had first heard on the day he met Salieri.

[Moonshine?]

****

"What?"

Salieri didn't say this in response to Wayne's comment. It appeared she hadn't even registered it when she stepped forward a put a hand around Henrietta's wrist. Her palm covered the x-transceiver, muffling the call as she looking into Henrietta's eyes, searching for something. It was clear something was bubbling inside the Battle Girl, poking at her the wrong way.

Not Henrietta. Her father.

"...did he say funeral?" she asked quietly. The other word of note was all to clear for her to miss.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 24, 2013 6:03 pm

"Y-yeah," Henrietta responded as she looked back at Salieri. "I had to be here. You guys needed me."

There was screaming on the other end of the x-transceiver still. Henrietta twisted her wrist to get it away from Salieri.

"Dad-

"We're not coming back! You're mother and I can't handle this anymore. We tried to help you grow up as a functional person, but you're just.. Too much. It would be better if you weren't in our lives." His voice grew softer, the man was crying.

Henrietta was quiet, turning away from Salieri.

"If you'd never been."

The call ended. "I've never been very strong," Henrietta said, but she didn't face Salieri. "I want to be, though. I understand if you guys want to wash your hands of this. That's what this meeting is for, to see whose in and whose out." Though she tried to be confident with her words, without even needing to be seen it was obvious from her voice - she was crying.

Zero ducked out of the master bedroom. Down the hall, she could see one of the girl trainers crying. Not looking to become part of down, she sped down the stairs into the living room, leaving the door to Henrietta's parents' bedroom wide open.

Salieri watched Henrietta cry for a few seconds.

Something clicked in her head. The gears spun, and she saw Henrietta in a whole new perspective.

"Sal, now's not the time!" Henrietta yelled at Salieri, hoisting Bill over her shoulders in the burning Pinwheel Forest. "We have to find a way to get these people out of here, and we have to help everyone still trapped inside!"

The bubbling inside her never turned to a full boiling point. Rather, it simmered.

"I won't back down unless everyone does," said Henrietta to Wayne and Salieri in Route 4's desert, speaking against Plasma's threats to put them down. "Both of you, Luka, Crown, Robby, Takamaru. Everyone goes home or I don't, I can't let my friends put their lives in danger. I can fight."

"You saved more people today than they'll ever know. Parents who can't be proud of their daughter after that...don't deserve to be parents at all! They don't know a damn thing."

"You're wrong about her," Azucena told Salieri in the back lot of the stadium, referring to Henrietta. "She is life insurance, I'd be dead without her."

She shook her head. Her hands balled into fists at her sides, shaking. "It's heavy, isn't it? The weight of everything else pushing down on you. I know you feel it too. If you falter underneath, you get crushed..."

Liuye Dao dropped to his knees on the floor of the Battle Institute and buried his face in his hands. [If I can’t be your sword, then I am useless to you!]

"And if you stop for a second, you're done for. But you can't falter, or everyone else was right about you from the start!"

"You skipped your grandfather's funeral to try and get yourself killed!? We sent you to that hospital to get over being suicidal!"

Sal would grab Henrietta's shoulder to spin her around. "If you have an enemy stronger than you, you have to evolve beyond their strength. The only way to escape that weight is to be the very best! Like no one ever was or will be!"

There was a tinge of fury in her voice as her mind flickered back to her enemies. Pachi's taunting eyes looked down on her. "And then nothing can ever weigh down on you again. Because you'll have the power to break away."

The Battle Girl was breathing heavily now. She gripped tightly on Henrietta's shoulder, then pulled her in to wrap her arms around the girl in a tight hug.

"I'm in," she said softly.

"Four splashes, or it c'n get bad fer people 'bout Sally's size." Robby explained, believing that his student had questioned the number, not the ingredient. While not the best way to calm the people there, he'd noticed that everyone was getting a little tense. Either it would help calm that, along with the hot chocolate, or it would let it unleash before it got to a murdering point.

"Jus' don' add too much." And the cooking was gotten back to.

Kijin found himself again outside the Battle Institute having walked through the city a few times or at least what remained of it. He always found himself back at here again considering the amount of damage he was amazed that some of the buildings were even still standing. He let out a sigh as he looked around then down at his pokeballs,"Hmm I could train with some of them but the only ones I could train at this point would be Blitzle and Venipede since they probably wouldn't destroy any of the unstable buildings or cause anymore damage then there already is."

He pulled the two pokeballs off his belt and started to look around,"Now where would there be a good place to let you two out and train?" He starts off back into the city looking for a spot for the two pokemon to get some trainning done.
