Wiping his mouth the the back of his hand, Tk leaned back into his chair with a content sigh. "Man Robby, you sure can cook. If you opened a restraunt people would line up for miles!"
After checking the time on his Xtranceiver He jumped out of his chair and grabbed his pack from its place on the floor by his chair. "alright guys, im gonna head out for some training before heading to Driftveil," he swung his pack over his back and hooked the strap across his chest. "If i don't catch up with you guys before you leave town ill get a hold of you over the Xtranceiver. Message me if there's any problems and ill come runnin'!" he said before slipping on his shoes.
"Right then, Later Guys! And good luck with your interview Sal!" he finished with a half turned wave and was out the door. as soon as his feet hit the walkway outside he took off at a sprint. Running into the side of the neighboring building. as soon as he came into contact with it he pushed the flat of his show against the wall and pushed upwards, grabbing onto the top of the water drain and pulling himself up onto the roof.
Walking up to the peek of the roof he looked over at the subberbs of the city scape. His original plan for the day was too meet up with Hiba, who he hadn't seen since a day before the 4 day lock down. However, the older of the two had the idea to run interference with Tk mom, who was still furious with her sons Hero antics at the big stadium. So he was stuck waiting for the all clear from Hiba beofre heading towards the next city.
"Look look! Its cloning Sage!" "What? where? i thought the legends crew already skipped town?" "I heard they where taken into custody!"
Some time during the past 4 days some one leaked Henrietta's address, so there where always people bound to be waiting around hoping to get a word in with the crew.
Even TK had his fill of public attention by this point. So with a sigh he slid down the side of the roof, when he reached the end he jumped, grabbing onto the street lamp, swinging hi s body back and forth before flinging himself onto the neighboring street lamp, causing the girls in the below group to squeal with adorment. He was somewhat of a tween heart throb at this point.
Making is way though the city, free running from building to building and basicly just trying to practice his free running while keeping out of the public eye. Eventually landing in the alleyway next to gear station.

Salieri gave TK a quick thumbs up as she continued to shovel food in her mouth. A minute later she was standing up, putting on her shoes while grabbing another pancake.
"Try not to get yourselves killed or something else stupid while I'm busy," she told Henrietta and Robby. "I'll let you know when I leave town too."
Chen Zhen and Salem were returned to their pokeballs. She didn't think her friends would watch her on TV, but it was a nice thought. She also considered telling her parents, but she didn't want to hype it up too much before it happened. This would be her first real interview, after all.
Grabbing one last sausage, she flashed the duo a peace sign and went out the front door.

N hadn't left the Gear Station's steps since his talk with E. Now he sat upon the top one, fiddling with the Menger Sponge puzzle. He wasn't actively trying to solve it, and he was starting to doubt that he could.
What he was really focused on was a plan of action. No matter what, the world would know that he's the leader of Team Plasma by the end of the day. The Legends Crew would know that too.
But not telling them beforehand felt like a betrayal of their trust. True, he never claimed he wasn't part of Team Plasma. Keeping that information hidden may as well have been lying, in their case.
There must be a formula that will finally allow them to see that I am correct. Finding the right variables to use for it is the tricky part.
Out the corner of his eye, he saw TK exit an alleyway. N wasn't sure if Takamaru saw him, but he waved at the silver haired youth. Maybe Takamaru can help build this formula.

Henrietta ate the delicious breakfast, minding her manners and not talking while eating. Takamaru and Salieri left with little waves from Henrietta. She didn't remember what nickname she had been given. She hadn't read it either, the article was too embarrassing to read, so she'd skipped it.
"I'm gonna shower and head to work," she told Robby before making her way upstairs. The shower, unfortunately, had been used twice in the span of half an hour. So when Henrietta turned it on she was faced with the unfortunate surprise of the water never heating up.
She sighed. "Melty!"
The Lampent floated through the floor. "Can you heat up the water, please?" She cupped her hands together, gesturing the plea and Melty floated back down.
A minute later the water started to heat up. "Thanks!"
It would be bad to say that this is the fifth time she'd gone through this since the lockdown. With so many people in the house every time she went for a shower Melty needed to heat the water up.
Later she stared at herself in the mirror, clothing held up. "I need to go shopping," she grumbled to herself. Did she have the money for that? Ever since her parents had disowned her she'd thought more and more about money problems. She was basically fending for herself - and she didn't have insurance, or anything.
Changed and ready, she headed out, Darumi and Socant following behind. "I'll be back in a few hours!" she called.
As she started down the street something caught her eye. Her hand outstretched, crystals forming around it just as it got close - freezing the object before it could hit her, the extension from her hand allowed her to catch it without fighting the momentum of it.
Not that that was hard given the mass of the object
"Icecream?" The crystals faded away and Henrietta inspected it.
It was pretty much perfect for eating, no bugs or bird poop or debris or anything.
"Lucky~"

Saffron City buzzed far below, grey and miserable. Elizabeth stared out the window of the guest floor, hand resting quietly on the cold glass. Thinking. Traffic teemed in the streets, lights red, yellow and white, shifting through the dreary day. Katelyn stood nearby, looking uncertain.
"Momma?" she asked, and Elizabeth turned to look at her, giving a half- hearted smile. "Did you and Grandpa fall out?"
Elizabeth pushed away from the glass and knelt down, picking Katelyn up from under her arms and holding her tight. The girl struggled at first, but relaxed as Elizabeth closed her eyes and breathed deeply. This was her baby girl. She wouldn't let that b*****d take her away.
"Something like that," she said. Could they really fall out when neither had been in the other's favour? "You should say sorry," Katelyn said quietly, fingers gripping Elizabeth's shoulder tightly. The woman's eyes opened slightly. "Grandpa's not a bad man. He shouldn't be sad..."
A knot struck her throat and Elizabeth felt a flush of anger. It subsided, and she put the five year old back on the floor.
"Go play with your toys," she said. "Now."
Katelyn backed away, then hurried towards the fireplace, where a box of toys sat with half its contents spilled onto the floor. Elizabeth opened up the display on her Xtransceiver and tried to call Zack. The device rang and rang. Eventually it beeped, disconnecting the attempt. Where the hell could he be?
Something caught her eye. It looked like a shadow shifting on one of the buildings opposite. She'd seen it before. When she checked more carefully, Elizabeth still couldn't spot anything out of the ordinary. Nothing but grey buildings and miserable rain trickling down the glass.
'It must be a Murkrow,' she thought. They often nested in the buildings around Saffron.
"Ms. Redgrave?" Brady stood in the doorway. The Silph Co. tower had biometric records of everyone who'd ever entered it following the Rocket incident. Using advanced scanners built into every door and hallway, the building itself was capable of keeping track of who walked through it and where. Elizabeth thought that there must be a central server that handled all of that information hidden somewhere in the tower.
The security system intelligently adapted to threats. While certain people were cleared to access certain areas, it would be impossible for an intruder to take a high-ranking employee hostage and force them to bypass the system. It would shut them out, regardless of the demands that the intruder might make.
The information stored at Silph Co. was simply too valuable to trade for a human life. Brady had complete access, while Elizabeth and Katelyn were only cleared to use their residential floor along with her father's office.
"What is it, Brady?" Elizabeth asked. "Regarding the meeting earlier," he said, "I wanted you to know--" "It's fine," Elizabeth said, "It's fine. You were just doing your job."
Brady stayed silent. Rain drummed against the window and Elizabeth made her way to the kitchen in the far corner of the room. She retrieved a bottle, then reached for a glass.
Elizabeth held a second glass out to Brady but he responded with the barest shake of his head. She put it back, "Suit yourself." She poured out a glass of scotch whiskey and downed it in one, wincing slightly as she set the glass down. Brady frowned disapprovingly.
"What, I'm allowed a drink, aren't I?" Elizabeth said, leaning on the counter, pouring another glass. "I wouldn't dream of depriving you small pleasures, Ms. Redgrave," Brady said, not changing his gaze. Elizabeth feigned a laugh. "Would it be so hard to say what you really think for a change?"
"I'm not sure I understand." "Don't lie to me, Brady. I know you," Elizabeth put the glass down, empty, "you agree with him don't you? You think I screwed up with Wayne and now I'm going to do the same thing with Katelyn!" "Elizabeth..." "Just go ahead and say it, Brady! I'm a terrible parent! I should never have taken him in. I should never..." her face was red. She realised she'd been swinging the glass about like a madwoman. Katelyn was staring at her uncertainly, the toys untouched. Elizabeth covered her face and went quiet.
"If I may, Ms. Redgrave," Brady said, "a terrible parent is one who does not fight tooth and nail to do the best she can for her children."
Elizabeth looked up at him. His eyebrow was raised, and he almost seemed to be smiling. She felt the corner of her mouth twitch. Of course Brady was on her side. For the first half of her life, he'd been her only real friend in the world. The pit in her stomach seemed to ease.
"You're right," she said. She smiled towards Katelyn, whose sour face softened. Elizabeth gave Brady a determined look. "Tell dad I don't care about his choices. I'm making my own."

After Kijin's jog through the city he soon found himself walking along the river following the water a little as he thinks up what to do next. "I want to head to the next city but I don't want to leave the city with any less man, or pokemon power, it needs at this point." He says to himself as he continues to walk towards the bridge but turns away heading towards the Gear Station if only to see how the reconstruction is going along.
As he moves up towards the Gear Station he spots two guys standing outside the Gear Station that seemed to know each other as they seem to talking to each other as he comes up on it.

Looking both left and right to make sure the coast was clear of any fangrils, he took to the side walk. just after exiting the ally, Tk noticed the Green haired N waving him over.
"Mornin' N!" Tk said, jogging over towards his Friend, grinning all the while. These past 4 days he'd been trying to get N alone to discuss his morality issues and other stuff. out of the entire legends crew he seemed to be the most... psychologically intelligent.
Well that's what he was basing his decision to talk to N about plasma on anyway's. It probably had nothing to do with the fact that he was the only one who didn't actually voice his displeasure against plasma.
"Whatcha' doing all the way out here?" He asked, jumping onto the railing and walking it up to the top step before jumping off, landing on the top step that N occupied, taking a seat next to the older youth. "You missed one heck of a breakfast." The silver haired youth commented, patting his stomach for emphasis.

It had been almost two hours since Salieri had left Henrietta’s house. She had gone to the local news station, done an interview with a talk show host, and would be on TV by the end of the night.
As she exited the studio doors into the parking lot, she was fuming. What started as her plan to revise her new public persona had been twisted back around, and now she was back to where she started.
Being called a hero made her squirm inside. Truth be told, she had nothing against heroes. It was being seen as a hero that she had problems with. The expectations that came with the title were high, and she had her own ambitions to consider. Involvement with potentially dangerous quests and the like were of no concern to her unless there was a personal benefit. And she didn’t really see what the benefit was to saving every Purrloin stupid enough to get stuck in a tree.
Well, there are more heroic things than THAT, but still. Whatever, I’m not hated. I have to start somewhere. If I’m starting on the wrong foot, at least I’m not tripping and falling. Yeah, okay. I can roll with this for now…if someone DOES ask me to save a Purrloin in a tree I’ll lose it, though.
Salieri got through town and ended up at Elesa’s Gym. She hesitated at the door. The last time she saw Elesa, she called her a “prissy little b***h” and was forcibly thrown out of the gym by bouncer pokemon. Simply challenging her again wouldn’t do. Salieri knew that if she was gym leader, she’d demand respect.
The Battle Girl took a deep breath and reached to open the double doors. Instead, the doors opened from the other side, and Elesa stood between them with a hand on her hip and an eyebrow raised. “Didn’t I tell you never to come back here?”
Salieri opened her mouth to instinctively retort, but better judgement snapped it closed again. She crossed her arms, glared off to the side, and muttered something under her breath that couldn’t possibly be heard by human ears.
Elesa cupped a hand around her ear and leaned closer. “I didn’t quite catch that, sweetie.” “I said I’m sorry I called you a prissy little b***h, alright?” Sal practically blurted out. Elesa smiled coyly and stood up straight again. “I’ll accept that. Your anger sounded misaimed at the time anyway.” “I…yeah.” Salieri rubbed the back of her head. “I don’t know if you saw the news-“ “I did. I’m sorry about your Pawniard.”
A lump formed in Salieri’s throat. She nodded. “He’s fine. Just walking it off is all.” “It’s a long walk, isn’t it?”
Salieri exhaled through her nostrils. Standing here stating the obvious was making her anxious. “So can I challenge you to another battle or what?”
The Gym Leader tapped her lips, thinking it over. Well, not really. She was going to say yes, but liked seeing the look of anticipation on Salieri’s face. After a few torturous seconds, she shrugged. “Sure. Why not? We’ll have to do something different this time around, however. I can’t have you throwing up all over the rollercoaster again.”
Sal’s face flushed red. “People get motion sickness all the time! It’s not a big deal! Besides, I trained myself past that over the last few days.” “Trained to get past motion sickness?” Elesa chuckled. “Let’s try this my way, sweetie.”
She receded into the gym and Salieri followed. It was pitch black inside. Sal modified her vision with Nianzhu to help her see in the dark and saw she was walking down a thin glass tube, like a domed catwalk. “What is this?”
Elesa chuckled again. The tube led to a classic Gym Leader stadium. This too was sheltered in glass. Elesa took her place at one end, Salieri at the other.
“I’ve already seen some of your skills before. So how about we make this a one on one match? Standards rules apply.” “Heh.” Salieri flicked a thumb over her nose and grabbed a pokeball from her beltbag. “You must be confident to think you can beat me with just one pokemon.” “Oh? I recall you losing last time we battled.” “I never make the same mistake twice.” "I haven't made any mistakes." "Believing you could beat me twice is the biggest mistake you've ever made."
Sal smirked confidently and so did Elesa. The Gym Leader clapped her hands. And the lights came on.
Salieri spun around. That was a catwalk she had gone down before. The battlefield was the main floor of the runway.
And watching through the other side of the glass was a huge audience, now cheering loudly for both sides. Sal readjusted her vision to lower levels as two massive disco balls hanging from the ceiling began to spin, adding bright flashes to the technicolor lights show. Glass bubbles rose from the floor to envelop her and Elesa’s trainer boxes.
Salieri gulped. It wasn’t so long ago that she was in front of a live studio audience. But now, with the pride of her battling skills on the line, she was feeling something else as people roared her name.
Exhilaration. A slightly sadistic smile crossed her lips.
"Now this is what a real gym battle should be."
****
N hadn't eaten much of Robby's cooking, because much of it was made with pokemon based products. Since the lockdown, there hadn't been many opportunities to find all natural foods, so N found himself eating less these days.
He was unaware that Kijin was watching him from behind as he dropped the Menger Sponge puzzle and let it hang at his side per usual.
"I was meeting my sister," he told the younger boy. "Takamaru, what is you opinion on Team Plasma?"

The park was chaos. Green beams of energy were met with fiery walls - burning them out before they were useful, sonic waves of blackness emanated and crashed into an unyielding Boldore, who tore through it with ease, smashing the ground and firing the sand upwards, into the open maw of the Krookodile.
Orders by Azucena were screams, if only to speak over a cheering crowd. They knew her as some roadie to "The Legend Crew", and she'd been shipped with every male on the team - twice. Because of this they knew her, not as a hero though.
But also because of this they knew who she was training against.
Henrietta's Wartortle and Boldore - Bastion and Frate respectively.
Ervin, her Maractus and K-Rok, the Krookodile she'd picked up, were training hard but they weren't able to gain an edge on Henrietta's Pokemon.
Damn. She trained them well!
Bastion's Hidden Power was Fire, it meant that she had an edge on Maractus - able to destroy his grass attacks with ease and save himself from injury.
The large sandbox in the park doubled as an arena for trainers - and originally Azucena thought it gave her an advantage. No rocks or anything for Frate to use against her - she was dead wrong. The Pokemon used the sand to block off K-Rok's most skilled technique - Snarl.
But he had another technique. A green stream of energy punched through the sand, causing Frate to jump aside to avoid it. Another Giga Drain.
As Ervin switched opponents, K-Rok did as well. He closed the distance to Wartortle, who turned to block the strike with his shell - but it wasn't an ordinary strike.
An Earthquake punch. He'd been on the receiving end of a blow like this before. Most memorably from his brother. While his technique was incomplete, he could still do it. The fist hit the shell, and the vibrations caused Bastion to cry and stumble forward.
Then it happened. Pulling himself to his feet, determination overflowing, Bastion evolved.
K-Rok's heart stopped for a moment as Bastion turned, one cannon aimed at him for only a moment before Bastion faced him.
The luck of the opponent not knowing how to use that cannon just yet. They twitched, his heart skipped a beat.
"Don't let up!" Azucena cried and K-Rok restored his determination and stepped in, punching for Bastion.
When something hit him. Power Gem, a move of Frate's used by storing energy inside of his body and then releasing it. His hand was knocked aside - at the same time Bastion figured out his cannon.
The Pokemon hit the floor, in the next second Maractus acted, attacking Frate from behind with his Needle Arm.
His caught aflame and cried as he fell - Hidden Power: Fire.
"Okay okay, we lost!" Azucena shouted as she got out her potions and got to work on the wounds. They weren't too bad, but she'd have to make a trip to the battle institute.
"Jeeze, I can't beat you guys," she said as she looked at Frate and Bastion.
Frate, the Boldore, hadn't evolved. Probably because she'd never put him into a pokeball, nor had he been registered under her name. Actually, she didn't know how it worked.
But now Bastion had evolved.
The crowd still cheered.
[This is a little much,] Frate said as he looked out at the crowd. Bastion roared with laughter, his newly deepened voice making him sound like a jolly old man. [I love it.] [Vanity is unbecoming of the winner,] Ervin said, maintaining his typically calm tone of voice. K-Rok was quiet.
He'd heard a few days ago about an incident, a concert they called it, involving K-Rok. But it wasn't him. Apparently humans can't tell Pokemon apart, so his manager just grabbed the first Krokorok he came across and trained him to rap. Sales of his album were at an all time low in just a few days - it'd gone from thousands purchased a day to nothing over the next few days.
He was fuming, he'd gotten Ervin to agree to do a mini-concert in Nimbasa before they left. Set for today, he was gonna show the world he was K-Rok. The only issue he saw was that Ervin wasn't a DJ, he played the banjo.
[I'll work around it.] He didn't believe that, he had no idea where to start. Still, his pride was crushed, and he couldn't relieve any of the stress by losing constantly to Bastion and Frate.
"You guys head on back," Henrietta said and the two headed into the crowd, disappearing in a few seconds.
***
"Henrietta?" Azucena was on her x-transceiver as she sat waiting in the lobby of the battle institute.
"Yeah?"
"I sent Bastion and Frate home, I'll pick up Melty after my Pokemon are healed."
"Alright. I'm just on my way to work."
Azucena frowned. "You didn't sleep today either, did you?"
"We're almost done with the center. It's been hard, but the stadium is done and so is the road that apparently a Scizor and Steelix fought across. It's just this and everything is done."
Azucena sighed. "Okay, just don't kill yourself."
"Kill myself?"
"Yeah, like, accidentally make something fall on you because you're too tired." Azucena saw Henrietta smile. There was a brief moment of silence, and then, "say, can we talk later?"
"Sure," Henrietta said, "I gotta go shopping for clothes anyway. Want to meet up after work?"
"Sure. Call me when you get off."
At the house Henrietta picked up Melty. He'd been told to help her get her badge. Part of his training to work better with others, he had to help win the badge without acting on his own, basically he could only do what Azucena said. Melty agreed with Azucena, though she didn't know it, that it was too restricting but Henrietta was firm on her decision.
That was one major change Azucena had noticed. The girl that stumbled over her words when they first met had changed, she noticed it when the girl took charge of their group. She was now constantly tired from working hard - training, construction, over night shift on the citizen patrol - a group of people that worked to make up for the major absence of the majority of the police force since the stadium incident - and making sure her Pokemon were under her control. She'd said it herself, they were in or out, no weaknesses. That night she'd given her Pokemon the same choice, as she slurred over her words(thanks to the moonshine Robby slipped into their stew, but she'd never speak of that night again, not out loud), they could leave if they wanted to.
They stayed.
Henrietta had become a different person, more confident, more concerned about others. She was starting to live up to the nickname the media had given her - The Knight.
Arriving at the gym, Azucena found a battle underway. She'd joined the crowd, and she watched Salieri and Elesa about to face off.
Grinning, she decided to support the karate girl, "kick her a**!"

The Pokemon Center was almost completely repaired by now. The tiling of the roof was all that was left. Henrietta, dressed in construction uniform, was one of those on the roof repairing it. The work was separated between Darumi, herself and a few others. Setting the tile, getting the nail in, hammering it down - it wasn't that difficult.
Socant sat on the edge, pulling material up through webbing. The consistency and the weight had done wonders for his strength, and Darumi was especially helpful in that he could just hammer in nails with his fist. It took two shots, one to force it in enough that nobody needed to hold the nails anymore, and one more to put it in all the way.
This control of force, too, took time. Henrietta's hands had bruises from the failed attempts, ones that hurt, ones she didn't complain about.
She didn't vocalize complaints these days. The odd one here or there, like the other night when part of her house caught on fire. Otherwise she didn't want to complain. There was this implication of weakness that followed it, and she didn't want to show that.
Half a week ago she'd taken charge, the first meeting, that night before the stadium event, she'd done it for the first time. The following day she did it again, telling people they could leave or stay depending entirely on whether or not. The first time if they wanted to - the second time if they could get their s**t together.
It felt hard to do it, and she didn't feel like a leader - not just mentally but she didn't feel like she lead the group. Truth be told, she didn't. Did she have the power to kick anyone out? She doubted it, doubted they'd listen. Still, if the person needed to leave, if they were going to get everyone killed? She had told herself, under this fear, over and over again, that she'd take on that firm voice again, and she'd make sure they left.
For that reason, Henrietta avoided showing weakness. There was the shy moment here or there, her true self bleeding through a persona, but the closeness was also important. Like her chat with Salieri just the other night. Overall, she felt hardened, she probably looked hardened too. The girl who'd spent days limping around now ignored her bruised hands, the girl who'd slept like a baby cuddled up to someone because they were in the same room, rarely slept at all.
But did that send the message?
A new doubt, Henrietta felt the frustration of it as she watched the nails, holding them for Darumi to hammer the first time. Did they see her as an idiot for pushing herself too hard, did she intimidate them, or was she just Henrietta?
Henrietta looked around briefly. There was nobody to share her doubts with, nobody to confide in. She hadn't even told this to Salieri.
No relief to the stress, and to the humiliation she felt for having what she decided was vanity in thinking she might be a leader at all.
It had its seeds, ever since her negotiating with the Musharna back in The Dream Yard she had been able to see it - the group didn't function without a linchpin. Maybe she wasn't that, but nobody else was going to be it. Salieri in Nacrene Forest had pretty much told them as much, N still said he could talk to Pokemon, Robby was basically a mercenary paid with food, Takamaru was a kid.
Wayne was....
He should lead...
But Wayne wasn't a leader either. He was practical, he was logical, he was secretly a genius - but he wasn't a leader. Fun loving, silly, sometimes to the point anyone that didn't know him might mistake him for a fool, and a casual guy. He had been the first to point out they were idiots back in the desert, but he also saw the risks of them just being around.
You formed this group, take care of it. Don't expect Wayne to shoulder the burden. He has his own reasons. He'll keep going even if we stop, but I don't think he wants to lead us. I don't... think he condones this group entirely as well. Salieri either. The two strongest trainers Henrietta had ever met, and she was afraid they'd take the first logical out they could find - Wayne to make sure nobody else got hurt and Salieri the moment she could find an out that didn't hurt her pride.
***
Socant and Darumi talked while Henrietta worried.
[So how come you stayed?] Darumi asked as he hammered down another nail.
[What do you mean?] Socant asked.
[You said before that humans were evil bastards. Henrietta said you could leave but you stayed.]
[Because...]
Socant lugged up another set of tiles, setting them aside for the worker waiting to take and distribute before lowering the makeshift web elevator back down.
[Because?]
[Because there's worse out there then trainers. Plasma - we've seen them. Killing Pokemon, hurting Pokemon, not caring at all as a forest of Pokemon burned around them. They're bad people.]
[You're not scared of fighting them?]
[Despite how badly we've done, Darumi, we've won. Every single time we've faced them, we've won. Through some way or another.]
[I'm scared,] Darumi said. Socant, who didn't know how to respond, went quiet.

Kijin walked past the Gear Station giving a quick look at the two people talking at the side of the building he recognized one of them from the news but the other he wasn't sure of but probably a friend of his, he simply shrugged and moved on. After walking by the Gear Station he rounded the block towards the pokemon center so far it was moving along rather nicely it was mostly repaired and at this point it just needed to get the pokemon system back up and running and some power then it should be good as new. "Hmm this is coming along rather nicely it is surprising how quickly they repaired the center in only four days."

“SAL-EE-AIR-EE!” Clap, clap, clap clap clap. “SAL-EE-AIR-EE!” Clap, clap, clap clap clap. “EL-ESS-A!” Stomp! “EL-ESS-A!” Stomp! Music unfamiliar to Salieri blared from the speakers. She spun around in her trainer box, just to confirm that the crowd cheering her name wasn’t an illusion. It sent chills down her spine, in a good way. This is what she wanted. Wukong materialized out of his pokeball. Evolving into an Infernape had made him less hotheaded and more optimistic. But other than that, he was just the same as always. Like his trainer, he flicked a thumb over his nose. [Bring out the victim!] Elesa checked her sideboard computer once it finished calculating Wukong’s level. “Quite a bit higher than the last time. I’ll have to treat you to a more powerful opponent.” She sent out an Eelektross. The huge elefish pokemon was twice Wukong’s size, even when it remained on solid ground. The pokemon stared into each other’s eyes. A monitor behind the runway showed screenshots of both trainers. “Ready?” asked the electronic announcer. Elesa nodded to no one in particular and Salieri licked her lips. “BEGIN!” “Sic ‘em!” Salieri yelled. A very vague order, but one she gave often and one Wukong followed well. The Infernape disappeared with Mach Speed, stopping right before his opponent and readying a Fire Punch to the Eelektross’s face. But the punch never came. Panels on this disco balls opened up, and from them came beams of light than shined all over the stage. They moved erratically at first, until a few converged towards the two pokemon. Salieri’s muscles tensed up, Those weren’t just ordinary beams of light. They were lasers. “Go up!” “Swerve, Eelektross!” Both pokemon parted just as the lasers met up. From Wukong’s feet came jets of fire that blasted him into the air. It was the next step up from his Blaze Bound technique. Previously, he could jump on the air. Now, he could actually fly. When both pokemon took to the sky, the crowd went nuts. The lasers didn’t stop, and both pokemon became their targets. As Wukong flew around trying to avoid them, Eelektross weaved through them up into the air closer to his opponent. “Behind you!” Wukong turned and flew sideways to avoid the incoming Crush Claw. The lack of bones in Eelektross’s body gave him some elasticity, and the punch stretched farther than anticipated. It struck Wukong on the side of the face, hurtling him towards the glass wall. The lasers were still moving upon them both. Eelektross floated closer while bobbing away from the lasers. Wukong righted himself in the air and flew back up, barrel rolling away from the disco ball’s attacks. “Hidden Power!” Wukong formed spheres of Flying type energy in his hands that blasted forth like missiles at Eelektross. Elesa took note of the Hidden Power’s type on her computer. It would be ineffective, but there was no point in letting it land. “Thunderbolt!” The elefish let loose a large sphere of electricity. It crackled in the air as it intercepted the Hidden Power spheres that weren’t cut through by lasers, creating a large explosion of light. The light masked Wukong’s presence as he jetted straight over Eelektross’s head. He spun in the air and dropped his heel on top of the elefish with a Blaze Kick, spiking the pokemon to the ground. [Hehe,] he chuckled to himself. [Shows you-] “Wukong, the LASERS!” He gulped, realizing most of the beams were now in his vicinity. He dove downwards, spinning away from lasers on his way to the ground. Eelektross got up, shaking off the pain, and fired another Thunderbolt. Wukong’s eyes widened as he spun away to dodge it, putting him right in the path of the lasers. They struck his back, slamming him into the runway floor. Salieri grit her teeth. Those lasers are giving us too hard of a time. Gotta make them work for us.“Go for the combo!” “Eelektross, keep it up!” Eelektross looked down, shocked to see Wukong had advanced on him so quickly. Before he could react he was hit with a Mach Punch hook, followed by a Fire Punch with the other fist while he was stunned. Before Wukong could follow up with a third blow, he had to narrowly duck another stretchy Crush Claw. The lasers were coming their way again, but the two pokemon were too preoccupied with their melee combat to dodge now. It would come down to the last second to move out of the way. Eelektross stopped his Crush Claw to switch to a Thunderpunch: a fake. Thinking fast, Wukong parried it with an upwards Blaze Kick. Eelektross squiggled backwards to avoid the incoming laser beams. “SUPLEX!” Elesa’s eyes widened. Suplex? He didn’t get far. Wukong had grabbed his wrist and yanked the elefish back in, restraining his arms behind his back and lifting him up in the air. The lasers were on their way. “Thunderbolt!” This time, Eelektross didn’t bother forming the attack. He simply let the electricity loose, and Wukong hollered the instant he started getting fried. But he grit his teeth and continued his move. If Liuye Dao…still had the guts to keep going with everything broken…then this is NOTHING!Wukong roared as he lifted Eelektross above him. Halfway through the suplex, the lasers converged on Eelektross’s exposed underside. The Thunderbolt stopped the instant the blinding light filled the glass. Salieri and Elesa shielded their eyes. When the light faded away, Eelektross was upside down with his head slammed into the ground. Unconscious. Wukong ended his suplex hold and stood upright. He burped out some smoke and staggered back and forth, dazed. The disco ball’s lasers shut off. The crowd went into a frenzy, cheering Salieri’s name once again. On the monitor, the only words displayed were “WINNER: SALIERI!” The glass bubbles blocking the trainer boxes didn’t lower quick enough for Sal, who jumped over their edges the moment she could to run onto the stage. She grabbed Wukong by the hands and spun around on her heels, whooping and hollering like the rest of the crowd. “Amazing! You just suplexed an eel! Incredible, Wukong, you champion!” [Stop…spinning…I’m…going…to puke,] he tried to tell her. Salieri grinned and returned her tired pokemon. Elesa returned Eelektross and walked up to Salieri. “I meant to make your head spin, but you shocked me instead. You earned this, Miss Del Forrest.” She put the shiny Bolt Badge into Salieri’s hand. Sal held it up to the light, watching it glimmer before putting it away. She shook Elesa’s outstretched hand. “It was a good match. Thanks, Elesa.” “I agree. Good luck with the rest of your travels. I’m sure you’ll do fine.” She held up Salieri’s hand for the crowd to see, instilling another wave of cheer. Salieri, breathless, closed her eyes and soaked in the moment. Moze, Liuye, I wonder...did you see me today? I think you'd be proud of me.

POP! The sound barrier snapped as Jump skidded to a halt behind Zack in Unova's desert. He threw up his hands and leaned over the other man's body with a grin.
"BOO!" he yelped. He probably hadn't actually surprised Zack since the Redgrave had reflexes allowing him to respond to super speed. But it was worth a shot. Jump laughed a little and pointed at Ferox.
"See? You're not the only one around here who can teleport! Well, I didn't technically teleport, but it's close enough. Except I could use a glass of water right about now~"
The Interpol Agent looked side to side. Sand for miles. "Whiiiiiiich I won't be getting here. Damn." He plopped onto the ground, sitting crosslegged.
"Sup dude? Lemme guess: training. Cause you wouldn't be doing anything that was actually fun. Man, I helped throw this kid a surprise birthday party a couple of days ago. Wayne was there, we chilled, why didn't you answer my text? There was free beer. Well, not free but I didn't pay for it."

Zack didn't say anything, but frowned at the other man, who seemed happy sitting like a child. The former agent did have some level of respect for Jump, but he hoped to god that Wayne didn't turn out like him.
His training with Ferox went on hold for now, and he reached behind a rock up near the valley wall and pulled out a rucksack. His Xtransceiver sat on top of a towel, taken off so that he wouldn't get distracted. More missed calls. He'd tend to it later.
He dropped the pack after pulling out a pair of bottles. Sports drinks. Blue flavour. Zack tossed one over to Jump and uncapped his own.
"What do you want?" he asked.

Jump licked his lips and chugged half of the sports drink in one go. Blue flavor. Yum. He wiped his lips with the back of his hand and shrugged.
"Nothin'. Heard there was gonna be a high council meeting today. They want me to zip by, be some backup security or something. Which means I'll have time for a good nap. Hopefully outside the actual meeting, I could not give less of a s**t about that boring stuff, yanno?"
The wind whipped at the sand around them. Jump grabbed a clump of it and let it sift through his fingers.
"Actually, I came here to see how you were doing. With the whole Kero thing."
Kero was still missing after his four day disappearance. Knowing the kind of missions that Kero usually took on, it could be easy to assume the worst. Jump didn't, because he was incredibly and almost obnoxiously optimistic. He was well aware not everybody else shared that sort of thinking.
"How long have you been training out here for, dude? Too long?"
