Unhindered, the squad had its soldiers return to the defensive formation while 2 more with large cylendrical weapons hoised them over a single shoulder each and fired for the ANBU HQ.

Kneeling beside one of the trees at a good distance from the temple, Samuru didn't move. He'd approached in total silence but didn't expect that he would be unnoticed for long and had his bent broad sword in hand, watching the temple and the few enemy that he could see. Suspecting there were more then what he could see, his eyes darted around the area, searching and spotting a few who looked like they were on guard duty of sorts .... without someone to spot for him, Samuru couldn't use his surveillance techniques. But.....he stood without a rustle and moved again, walking without bending a blade of grass or shuffling a leaf. In one hand, his sword. In the other, one knife Attack or wait....attack or wait.... he paused, seeing a soldier a couple feet in before him. He was still hidden partly in the leaves and trees surrounding the temple's area but a good look out would see him in a few minutes.

One of the guards, shifting between his optics, called over his comm system to the others, saying he had just found something approaching. Seeing as it was their job to basically raise all holy high hell, one of the guards got up from his area and put his launcher weapon away, drawing two Kukri weapons....going to go and investigate. The rest of the squad intensely waited, their own launcher weapons primed and ready....

Samuru turned, slipping chakra onto his feet, and sprinted up the tree he'd previously taken shelter under. Rushing upwards, using the branches for leverage on his jumps, he didn't hide his presence, preferring to drag an opponent into battle this time rather then engage one. One hand was free, a knife having vanished from it previously, and he gripped a branch before letting a sharp whistle out Let's see if any of these guys know how to use their eyes or their senses. Samuru moved quickly from where he'd been and shot off to another tree, left and further back before letting out another whistle and going to another tree, again left but moving closer in a circular fashion. Maybe this would give him time to come up with an attack or, better, buy time for someone else to show up.

-----It took some searching, but I managed to find out where exactly Samuru had gone, since I had lost him by the time I got out of the hole that was at some point cavernous ruins. I arrived at the temple just as Samuru disappeared up into a tree. Needless to say, I quickly ducked behind one of the trees as well, hand on the hilt of one of the blades I'd grabbed. -----From just the brief glance I knew the two of us were outnumbered. I hadn't seen all of them, but I could guess. -----I heard a whistle, shortly followed by another, though from further away. It seemed Samuru was moving, but what exactly he was trying to do, I wasn't sure. Alerting them that someone was there didn't seem like the wisest idea. I looked out slightly from behind the tree to the clearing beyond, waiting for the enemy to make a move.

The sets of prying eyes would, through the use of high tech optics, follow the ninja's every move through the trees. The ninja with the kukri, deciding not to engage out skilled, decided to pull back into the temple, hearing orders from the leader about a plan of attack.

There was a fire fight!
Knowing that the two approaches were going to be fast and pwoerfukl, the Djinni's knew their attack was going to have to cover a wide area, and pin them all down rather then be focused and devastating, with the sheer amount of people of people firing, their weapons could easily cover a very vast area, along with creating a dense wall of elementally charged weaponry that would easily devastate the approaching ninja.
The soldiers used groups of 3 to create a wide bust of their munitions, covering a large area around where the tree dancer was, hammering his location with a wall of incindiary fire kunai, velocity increased wind kunai, and armor piercing lightning kunai.
Unknown to the "tree hider" she too had been spotted with similar optics, and a team of three sent a bust of kunai for his(?) location as well with heavy hitting Earth kunai, suppressive and concussive water kunai, and velocity increased wind kunai in a wide burst designed to not allow escape and to pin the enemy down.
Meanwhile, 2 other soldiers kept their eyes open and their other, strange weapons ready to engage if the ninja closed in tight. The last single soldier primed a little orb attached to a kunai and chucked it with a great heave, the kunai falling in the inbetween space of the two kumo ninja and detonating with a powerful array of thick white mist.

Is Kunai the only thing they had? Samuru had assumed...well, it didn't matter. As the group fired, he dropped from the trees, drawing his bent blade as he fell. It was twisted like a spiral at the tip, spiraling up in random bursts mid way until it smoothed about 2ft from the handle. It didn't impeded his handling of it and as he got closer to the ground, Samuru gathered chakra into it. It wouldn't be the perfect defense but it would spare him being completely engulfed in the attack This is going to hurt. Keeping one hand wrapped around his sword as it connected with the ground, Samuru drew several of the knives with his other hand. The chakra condensed in the blade exploded outward around him, sending a wave of chakra in every direction. It dealt with the lightning kunia, blowing them off course as the rest were able to easily push through the attack. Releasing his blade but remaining behind it for the meager shelter it gave, Samuru took the knives he'd pulled, taking some in his mouth as he sucked in a deep breath Next! he concentrated all his strength and speed into his hands as the kunai raced towards him. Then he snatched the blades out of the air. Well, he snatched the incendiary kunai out of their direct path, throwing them by their tips away from his body with blurring limbs. The wind kunai, he let through, wincing as some pierced his skin or grazed his body. His blade covered most of his vital points but some of the kunai bit through his side, cutting between his ribs without damaging anything necessary. Samuru was aware that the fire kunai he'd thrown away would likely explode but he couldn't worry about the esthetic appeal of his body. If they blew, yes, he'd be a bit crispy but he knew he'd thrown them far enough away that he wouldn't lose anything important.

-----suddenly I was grateful for the techniques I had taken time to learn. One of them, simply called Sensory Information, had improved my perception of an area. So, I heard that I was being fired at, and used the first thing that came to mind: Kawarimi no Jutsu. The substitution technique. What I grabbed was one of the branches higher up in the tree I had been behind, which was blown through effortlessly. I watch with some amount of amazement as the piece of wood I had switched with was shredded to sawdust, and grabbed a branch before I could fall. -----That didn't solve the problem of the entire damned tree falling. The whole thing swayed when its foundation was destroyed. To both my horror and likely the enemies', it started falling toward them. Deciding it was a good time to ditch my previous hiding place, I leapt and grabbed the branches of another tree as the fallen one crashed by. -----It was then that I had to consider, again, what I was doing there. I had nothing that could help in this situation, not from a distance, and as long as the enemy had those strange weapon launchers, I wouldn't be able to get close. They had to run out of ammunition eventually... right? -----I grimaced and moved again. They had been able to see me, somehow, as soon as I arrived. Through a tree. That wasn't normal. I didn't think it was chakra that they were seeing, no... or maybe it was. Either way, it meant they would see me no matter how much I moved. So I had to create a distraction. As if the tree weren't enough of one. Well, maybe it would give me enough time to hide which was the real me. -----In the situation they couldn't see chakra and were using something else, clones wouldn't be distinguished from the original without observation. With the single hand sign required, I created three clones, all of which split up. I moved again as well. I just had to keep moving. I hoped.

The soldiers were excited with the fact that they had gotten some success with attacking the one ninja. the thrown kunai would singe the fingertips that the kunai were caught by, the the sheer speed fo the catch and release would make the damage minimal, though hand seals would be moderatly painful for the time being. Figuring they had another shot at the attacking ninja, the same group of three unloaded another yet shorter and more concentrated burst towards the approaching ninja. Their weapons would run dry, and they would pop behind cover for a moment, pop out the small scroll and put in a new one.
As for the tree approacher, the use of the enviroment would be interesting, but the soldiers would perform a simple combat roll and avoid the falling tree all together. back on their feet, seeking a defensive cover position, they would be alerted to the three forms of the same person, their training telling them it was some form of clone technqiue. Indeed, they couldnt tell the difference off the bat, and as such the group of three fired individually at each target with a shorter and more concentrated burst. their weapons would run dry, and they would switch out their scrolls for new ones.
The last soldiers weapon would begin to humm.....

Fingers stinging, Samuru straightened slightly, ignoring the pain. He gripped the sword and lifted it from the ground, the muscles in his arm tightening. This was getting....annoying. Let's get closer. bending his legs slightly, he threw himself upward and to the left, evading some of the kunai as they passed by below him. Rather then standing on the tree though, he continued up, twisting to avoid a further set of kunai, sword bent over his back, his elbow near his chin as he used the spin to add momentum to his swing. The blade came down on the fire kunai (OoC: I assume they are exploding kunai again), igniting them so that when he landed, briefly, it was amongst smoke and flickers of flame. The moment his feet touched the ground, Samuru took off at a sprint. So far, that other person had yet to show themselves inclined to work together which was fine with him. He worked better alone. Using the time between the enemy running dry and them reloading, he cut the distance in half "What else do you have, huh?" he called, ignoring the pain in his fingers and hands, the cuts on his torso and the slight crust of blood. He threw one leg out, stopping as his sword went over his back, using one hand, and then swung it down with fury that cracked the ground and threw dirt and rocks up into the air. The point was to startle and surprise as well as disguise his next move, his free hand disappearing in his jacket only to draw out a hand full of sharpened glass and jagged metal. Following his chakra wave in the same instant he took out his handful of death, Samuru closed the rest of the distance and would fling the handful at the nearest enemies face and exposed body, his sword coming up in a vicious slash, aiming to also rip the enemy in half.

-----How many soldiers were there even? I hadn't had a very good vantage point from my arrival, and I couldn't exactly stop to count them. That would give away my position. No, I would have to attack and get out as fast as possible. -----It registered somewhere in the back of my mind that the soldiers had fired kunai again, but since I was moving still, I wasn't particularly worried about them. -----Sounds of combat drew my attention to the clearing. Samuru had fully exposed himself, outright attacking the enemy. This helped my case, drawing the enemies' attentions away from my position to focus on the situation at hand. I gripped on of the blades I'd grabbed from the headquarters, but reconsidered, coming up with another idea for attack. -----Whatever weapon the enemy had that was causing the humming worried me. I had to take it out first off. I landed on a tree branch and shifted my weight, launching myself out of the tree line. Focusing chakra into the palms of my hands I came down on the nearest enemy, aiming the open thrust for their chest, the other hand quickly following to strike the neck. Without waiting to see if the man had collapsed I sprinted at the man holding the humming weapon to deliver the final four blows. First, the shoulder bearing the most weight of the weapon, then the chest, stomach, and finally the neck again.

Haituro arrived on the scene approaching from the distance. He could see flashes of light and explosions and decided he'd wait for a lull in the action if there were to be one, if not he'd have to risk his village mates being captured as well. It was a risk well worth taking. Noticing a slight hum Haituro decided that no, he wouldn't wait, his village mates were in trouble and he'd get there as fast and as soon as he possibly could. Leaping into a tree and dashing forward through the branches and leaves he made his way toward the hum. Settling back a distance from the action he would begin to whistle once again. This time knowing for sure the soldiers were here. Anyone who heard this tune haituro was whistling would be ensnared in his Genjutsu, even his village mates. It could make for an interesting scenario. Whilst whistling Haituro formed hand seals and was enveloped in a armor made of green glass that would protect every inch of his body, even creating a thin layer over his eyes which turned the world a slight hint of green. It would slow him down but anyone caught in the genjutsu would be a simple kill even if hindered.

In that mirror they will see the person they care most about. From there the person they see in the mirror will appear behind them and tap them on the shoulder. Once they get tapped on the shoulder they'll realize the person in the mirror is gone. When they turn to see who had tapped them they'll be attacked from behind by the person.While fighting with this person they are doing it in a dream they will be standing in one spot with their eyes wide open. All the damage they receive while fighting this person will feel and seem real to the ninja ensnared but will not actually damage them.

Several actions of the group are on the cusp of auto dodging, as the techniques are given ranks of corresponding power, damage, speed, and danger. Just like simply dodging a rank buki tech is seen as auto dodging without an appropriate skill, simply running or dodgin against these kunai attacks will be seen in a similar light. Please do not do this again, or actions will be taken. Also, if your character explicitly cannot perform said action without a proper skill/tech, then he/she is incapable of that action. We have tried to put together a very comprehensive list of skills and techniques to choose from for you to use and learn, and that doing something you are not trained in/know how to do can also be considered a form of god action or auto knowing. Please...for the love of all that is holy and just....stick to your characters profile. We have them for a reason

Your chakra wave is not allowed to be used unless you have an appropriate technique to use, such as the samurai saber tech or any appropriate buki tech that follows the description. If you have no tech, then that part is null and void.
Samuru sprint was a dangerous one, but one that would yield a variety of results. Now close enough, he was now capable of seeing jsut what they were up against, and just how in deep the now trio of ninja were. The soldiers were armored with a metal plate style armor that covered nearly their entire body, consisting of a helmet that covered the entire head, or torso peace that was reminiscent of a ninja flack jacket, but with extra plates of armor, fully armored plated limbs, down to armored gloves and boots that they wore. Underneath the armored plates appeared to be a black body glove of some sort, its make and construction unknown....though the spaces between the plates was very few and far between.
As samuru engaged the first soldier, the jagged metal and glass would in fact impact the face plate of the individuals armored helm, but due to its construction the weapons would be unable to penetrate. Flinching, the soldiers would attempt to evade with a botched roll, while the weapon of the ninja would bounce off some of the armor plating on his forearm, but the redirection would cut the mechanized launcher in two, as it would then fade from existence. Completing his roll, but staying on the ground, the soldier drew a short sword kukri to be able to defend himself with while laying on his back looking at the ninja.
The other two soldiers, now with their quarry in sight, would have to aim well and form a very tight burst of kunai that was aiming to shred Samuru where he stood while leaving their squad mate, due to being in a modified prone position, completely untouched. The bursts were refined and focused, and this close of distance would make defending and dodging difficult, particularly the two bursts coming from 2 different angles (12 oclock and 3 oclock).
With the neglect to mention the three clones, each of the soldiers bursts blew through the clones with ease, allowing them to note which one was the real approaching ninja. However, the distraction had bought the neccessary time to launch onto one of the unsuspecting soldiers. However, Kaileer would noticed that, instead of her strike hitting with the prepared chakra, that once his hands got close, a blue green aura would appear around the soldier and then fade from existence, with her palm strikes proving to be much less effective against the armor of the soldiers, though the quick attack to the neck would cause the soldier to stagger a few steps allowing the ninja to pass and sprint towards "Hummer."
"Hummer", unable to get the desired plan off due to the quick movements of the ninja had but one option: he dropped his weapon! Using his empty hand training, the soldier would engage the monk, bursting into his own set of motion as he performed an outward parry, inward parry, lower parry, and a rising parry, alternating hands each time her performed a movement. However, at the same time as he performed the last parry, the soldier unleashed a viscous uppercut for the adams apple of kaileer, aiming to cause serious damage and trauma to allow an opening for a more brutal attack, the spikes of his knuckles glowing with what seemed to be malicious intent.
The whistle of haituro would not go un noticed, but would definatly not go off as planned. The chakra laced sound would spread throughout the battle field, but when it hit "roller," the closest enemy to him, a green blue aura would appear around him, then fade from existence. Due to the position of Samuru, he would hear the sound prior to the aura activating.
The other two solders, as "Stagger" got his bearings again over by kaileer's position, seemingly unaffected by the genjutsu, would note the knew arrival with an unknown sensory capability and aim a kunai barrage for his location mixed with velocity increased wind kunai, and heavy hitting, stopping-in-tracks earth kunai. The duo would fire their barrages without worry of the combat going on behind them....Hummer could take care of himself.
Canoodle Roller: Combat Roll Simple :: D The user will drop and roll, making a rather akward target and movement for other shooters to aim at, thus allowing them to more easily move into cover, or move from a getting destroyed or now gone cover. Usually done from a kneeing position, but can be done from standing. The user cannot shoot while performing this technique.
