You're my heartbreaker

After a very boring time in his least favourite class, Potions Kangin decided that the best thing to do to get his mind off of things was to take a walk at the lake. He and Zamir would come out here every once in a while when Kangin could talk the boy into spending some alone time with him. Most of the time the young Korean boy hated to do things on his own, but every once in a while the need would come up and he would come out here to do some soul searching. He frowned slightly before sitting down at the edge of the water and staring out across it.

When there was a movement at the shore closest to her, Nerissa dunk her head a little further under water. She was shy towards wizards and witches, especially when her sisters told her horror stories about what they were capable of doing. Terrified, she only kept her eyes above the surface to spy.

She noticed something curious enough to pique her interest. It was a wizard boy that sat there. At the shore closest to her.

The mermaid curiously sunk under the surface only to resurface a few meters closer to the wizard. He seemed not to take notice to her... yet. She hoped that that would change in a moment or so. Nerissa was not sure whether splashing water at him would be appropriate, but she was going to try it any way... whenever she felt brave enough to do so.

Rian couldn't help but smile widely at his friends suggestion. It was a cute response and he was definitely considering going with a version of the idea,"Thank you Alex, that actually helped me out a bit" he said with a laugh. He could feel his spirits rising. Yet he didn't want them to rise too much. Knowing how Alex felt about this delicate situation he really didn't want to make it worse for his friend.

"Speaking of a dinner, would you like to grab some with me?" he offered with a friendly smile. Although he didn't say it to him he still wanted to talk to him about more ideas. Obviously he would bring this up at dinner where ever they choose for that to be.

Alex felt bile rising up his esophagus as Rian spoke. He didn't want his friend's relationship to be that serious. He realised that he should have come up with a different idea almost immediately. "Ar-are you proposing?"Alex heard his voice crack in the middle of the sentence, and he knew that he was talking at at least an octave higher than he normally did. He found it impossible to answer Rian's question because he was too distracted at the idea of his friend getting married to someone that was not him.

Then asks for kisses on the neck from every boy in the room

Rians smile dropped immediately. He could see that something he had said had bothered him greatly. "N..no I dont think Im quite ready for that and...well if that time comes I'd want it to be planned out very well" he said, his voice a bit shaky. He was worried and wanted to comfort his friend but was to afraid to move towards him to do so. The man seemed as though he would run if he did as much as twitch a muscle.

"You know if you don't feel like going to dinner tonight we dont have to. You dont look well" he said softly. He was a bit saddened by his own proposal. He had not seen Alex in quite a while and a dinner for two friends seemed like a perfect place to catch up. But now he wondered if it was really a good idea.

"N-no! It's fine, we should get dinner. I have to tell you all about the married life."Alex forced a smile out to appease his friend. He needed to be happy for the man, he knew that they would never be together so he had no idea why he was so upset. He knew that he would not eat anything if they did go out, but he was sure that some time to talk wouldn't hurt. Besides it had been such a long time since they had really been able to talk.

"Whats wrong Alex?" Rian asked bluntly. He could see through his charade and now he was getting very worried for him. At first it seemed as though his friend had gotten better but after what he was witnessing at that moment his opinion of that changed.

I'm just being selfish. It's nothing, Ri." He wished that Rian did not know him so well sometimes, the man could nearly always see when he was faking an emotion. No one else had ever been able to do that, and Alex wished that it could have remained that way. He did not need Rian worrying about his feelings all of the time.

Despite her attention being on the wizard boy, Nerissa began to hear words in a language she strove to learn. Glancing around, the mermaid took in a sharp breath of air, stupidly of course. She dove under the water to catch her breath. Resurfacing, Nerissa searched the shore for where the words were floating from.

Two wizards were speaking nearby the shore. One looked older than the other, but Nerissa didn't care. She swam quietly towards them. With all her heart, she wished to learn their language. Some came to learn Mermish, why couldn't her people learn the language of Witches and Wizards? Was it even possible? Surely.

Nerissa slid through the water towards the two like a snake.

Kangin smiled a little bit when he saw a mermaid swimming through the water. He had always wanted to learn their language, but he had had a hard enough time with English he wasn't sure if he could pick up another one. He waved at her slightly, wondering if she would come over to see him.

Nerissa glanced over at the boy and blushed slightly when she noticed that he waved at her. He had noticed her... he had noticed her. The mermaid sunk a little deeper into her comfort zone. Should she approach him or not?

Against everything her sisters warned her about, Nerissa found the courage to approach the wizard boy sitting by the edge of the lake. It only took a few moments for Nerissa to reach the shallows. She stayed as close to the shore as much as she dared to be. Wizards were unpredictable, as her sisters told her.

Nerissa's hair blocked out her right eye, but she could still see her prey clearly.

Kangin crossed his legs and waited for the mermaid to get a bit closer to him. He had no idea why he was doing this, after all he had heard that merpeople could be potentially dangerous, especially if you could not swim. He knew that he had no intentions of hurting her, but he worried he she did not feel the same. There was no way to tell until something occurred between the two of them. And it was not as though the young Korean had anything better to do. He puffed out his cheeks and waited patiently for her to make the next move.

Nerissa smiled gently at the wizard boy. She had gotten this far, but she could not sing above the water, nor could she speak above it. The screech that would erupt from her mouth would scare off the wizard. But what could she do now? Now that she was so close to the boy, she didn't know what to do.

Slowly, she reached out to the boy. Her face was gently, and her hands were slender.

Zamir had been taking a walk to try and clear his mind when he spotted Kangin near the lake. Not far away was the two assistant nurses. It seemed though they were far enough away that they had not noticed Kan. He was about to let him be until he saw the mermaid. From what he learned of them he knew that they were potentially dangerous. He felt a strange feeling grow within him which while it was still weak he pushed down then moved at a fast walk towards his friend. "Kangin" he said slowing to a simple walk when he was close enough."What are you doing out here?" he questioned as his eyes turned to the creature in the water swimming towards them. She was lovely. He had always been curious as to meeting one and finding out all he could from them. Its behavior was odd though. Not many mermaids would venture as close as this one was. Perhaps he could learn something from her without worrying about getting killed. This excited him a bit and he hoped she was friendly. In a gesture of friendship he waved at her and smiled slightly. He tried as hard as he could to make his smile seem sincere.

Rian stood looking at his friend for a very long moment. "We're friends arn't we? you can tell me anything. There is nothing wrong with being selfish now and then Eunhyuk" he said adding in his friends true name. A name he only used when he wanted to get a point across to his friend. "So, tell me please" he said hoping he would open up to him. He had always liked helping people. That was one of the reasons he had become a nurse. Whenever someone seemed to shy away from help Rian found himself feeling a bit sad and helpless. A feeling he did not like much at all.
