Evading the question, and ready to chase the one asking, to see how fast they are. 2.) QUICK! Left or right!!!? "Center." she replies before you can even finish your question, looking at you dead in the eyes, right in front of her. Obviously left or right matters not when your target is center. Then you don't want to look left or right, or you might loose sight of them! 3.)Catch! * tosses you a raw egg* Did you catch it? Swiftly, Edana catches the egg between her claws. Her dexterity allowing her to cradle it and keep it from cracking. Then she gives you a look of displeasure, not liking the fact that you would try to hit her with anything. Her teeth grind. This would be a good time to run.

1.) Do you believe in luck? To a certain degree, yes. I believe more in the concept of 'chance' than of 'luck' as a force that influences people and situations. If the circumstances and abilities are right, there's no need for 'luck'. 2.) In what way has luck benefited you in the past? I consider myself fortunate to have been born into my family, and into the Flock at large. There are many other Soquili who have not had the advantages these foundations have given me. 3.) Has luck ever NOT been on your side? One winter, there was an unseasonably early cold snap, and many young plants I had been tending to died, as I believed I had more time to prepare for the coming cold season. There was no way I could have predicted the change in the weather, so there was nothing I could have done differently - I suppose that was 'unlucky'. It was certainly disappointing and annoying, to say the least.

1.) Do you believe in luck? Of course. Good luck, bad luck - it all happens, and it all just depends on your perspective. 2.) In what way has luck benefited you in the past? I was in a fight with a mountain lion one time. There was no way I should've won - I was young and caught off-guard, wasn't paying attention. I got lucky that another Soquili happened to be nearby and heard the scuffle, and I was further lucky that not only did they come to my aid, they were strong enough and capable enough to turn the tide. Probably saved my life. 3.) Has luck ever NOT been on your side? Oh, sure. Everybody's had a day where everything seems like it's out to get them, right? I was protecting this mare and her filly across a long journey, and it should've been simple, but we got lost, it rained to flood levels, and then the filly got stuck in the muck of a river, which was rising all the time. The mother was freaking out, which made the kid freak out worse, and all of that freaking out attracted unwanted attention - it was a whole thing to get the kid out of the river before something decided to make lunch out of her. Could've been way worse, but at the time, it sure felt pretty unlucky to be me.

1.) Do you believe in luck? Uh, yeah. How do you not believe in luck? 2.) In what way has luck benefited you in the past? There was one time a bear was staring me down. She was probably protecting her cubs or something. She absolutely woulda torn me limb from limb, but I remembered at the literal last second possible that I didn't have to be horse-sized! I changed form and fluttered away and she was so confused. So I guess it's pretty lucky I'm a Flutter! 3.) Has luck ever NOT been on your side? My dad has gotten us into more unlucky situations by running his mouth than I could possibly tell you. If it's not flirting with a mated mare, it's tripping over his own feet and crashing into a honeybee tree. Seriously. It's a problem.

It was pretty unlucky to meet a Kalona the first time I try to explore beyond our herd lands, I think! Then again, I'm lucky to be alive, so maybe it all evens out.

The mare flicked an ear as she considered the question for a long moment before responding, "Well, honestly I do believe that depends on the person in question. For myself, speed would be more important as in times of trouble I must lead my herd away from the danger. However, for my mate Cae, stamina is more important as he along with the other warriors in our family would stay and face the danger. They must be strong and last in the battle." 2.) Do you do anything to improve your stamina?Nickering faintly in amusement, Mapiya bobs her head, "Well personally I consider it a date but Cae swears we are training when we go for runs together and mock spar. "I shall not go into details but I was not well during my pregnancy with my two daughters. The battle to bring them into the world was nearly the end of us all. Yes and no. It depends on context, but I think overall yes, if you can outlast your opponent, you don't need to outrun them.
2.) Do you do anything to improve your stamina?
I regularly practice with weights around whatever area I'm trying to improve my stamina - my feet when I run, or my wings when I fly. The wings are a difficult balance to get exactly right - so that I'm still capable of flight itself - but overall I believe it makes both running and flying easier for longer than if I didn't do so.
3.) Describe a time when your stamina has run out. My brothers and I had an in-flight staring contest when we were colts, where you weren't allowed to look away from your opponent's eyes, even to look at the ground or the air around you. My stamina failed me when I started to just slowly....sink....to the ground....and couldn't bring myself to rise back up. It was a very pathetic defeat.

I believe both to be important - in different scenarios. Speed has been more beneficial to my life so far, but I have recently discovered the benefit of having high stamina when it comes to a stressful time.

I have started to pull weights for extended periods of time to increase my endurance, yes.

The first day I tried my new training regimen I don't think I lasted a full minute. It was...embarrassing, but I've gotten better.

Yes, easily. Being able to endure will serve you better than being able to avoid. You can only avoid so long.

Is patience the same as stamina? If so, yes. Otherwise, not intentionally, but I do try to stay as tough as I need to be.
