Amy was behind the information desk talking with Jessi about possibly training Haka to work behind the desk and greet people. She wanted to start the fallen angel out here to see how well she worked with people. She knew the woman was very curious about humans, but that didn't necessarily mean that she'd be good with people. She thought she would be, but it'd be good to try this on a trial run first.

While she and Jessi were talking, they were rolling up streamers from the Halloween decorations. The staff was busy taking stuff down now and cleaning up.

She was also in her Halloween costume and Thistle was in her pink tutu. She had taken Thistle around trick or treating, and she had been so adorable! And since they couldn't make it into AS yesterday due to trick or treating, they were wearing their costumes here for the day.

*before leaving for the day, makes sure to schedule employees to come in for end-of-season reviews later in the week. There isn't a need for as many employees during the winter season*

*sits in her office after Tiffany, her last review of the day ends. She really didn't like telling people that they were no longer needed, but after everything the trick-or-treaters had gone through, she just couldn't let Tiffany stay. She had told Tiffany that she could finish out the week, but the girl still left in tears. Now, she was sitting at the desk with her head on her arms* I'm so glad that's over.

*looks over the schedule for the next day. Hopefully there won't be anybody as emotional. Seeing that there wasn't, she stands up and walks home, needing some time to herself tonight*

:: after fleeing the bar last night and wandering around a bit, Miro eventually found herself here, climbing up into one of the trees while no one was looking... or at least she didn't think anyone was looking. No one has bothered her about it at least. A cold resist spell had to be used to make the night more bearable, and it was difficult to get comfortable. Her thought at the time she had climbed up was that it would be like spending the night in the tree city of Kelethin not far from where she was born, but she vastly underestimated how many more comforts Kelethin had than just any ordinary, unaltered tree sweatdrop

Even so, being up there reminded her of the much simpler days of her childhood, where any concerns she had were frivolous and easily gotten over. Unfortunately, life doesn't stay that way forever.

Upon waking from a restless sleep, she looks again through the sketchbook at her defaced drawings. It was as if someone had read through some very personal journal entries of hers and then added their own disparaging annotations to it. Is this how it would be if she tried talking to someone about it? She liked to think that the reactions of friends would be much kinder than those of strangers, but knew such was not always true. Seeing the kinds of things people were saying and thinking when looking through her drawings made her feel like crying and she had to close the book because she couldn't stand looking at it anymore.

There was no point in keeping it now. Most, if not all, of the blank pages were ripped up and all the sketches, including the ones Draa had done, were ruined in some way. She couldn't very well just leave it around for someone else to look at and further make a mockery of either, though.

When she thinks no one is around, she carefully climbs down from her spot in the tree and heads into the lounge, approaching the fireplace. She takes one last look at her sketchbook before kneeling down by the hearth and tossing it into the fire, remaining there to watch it burn. ::
