If my Dad lived with us...that would piss me off for sure. But right now I'm mad that one can't get a decent education without getting into debt.

My dad?! -busts out laughing and falls off chair-
My dad can barely take care of himself! He's 63 years old and STILL in debt from HIS college which he dropped out of. He's unemployed, living off SS and he blames his crappy life on the world and not his bad decisions.
I wouldn't even ask for his help if I was shot in the head and my brain was on the floor.

No...he CAN'T help and I don't want his help. >>' Ever.
It would be like being in debt with the devil. Worse than owing the government money. Way worse.

Yeah.. that's what it sounded like. I'm really sorry to hear that. My paps isn't the best either, so I understand at least a fragment of how you feel. But one good turn takes another. Not implying you should grit your teeth and do the things you think is out of the question, but rather what should be done best for the long run instead of the immediate.

Haru- 1500$ for an 8800$ program...

Red- I know. I didn't want to take any loans but I'm gritting my teeth and applying for several.
It just sucks that we're as a country are unable to afford to send our children to college without getting them and ourselves in debt.
