mer? everyone is not jewish. I am Jewish. Also somewhat pagan, but that's besides the point. I see no use of being one religion if you believe in one or more aspect of those religions.
Such as if your family is Christain, and you want to be Wiccian, practice with your friends without the mother's knowledge, and then when u are are 18, declare yourself Wiccian, but you can keep calling yourself Christain if you also believe in Jesus.

Actualy When you belive in more then one religion it's called agnostic, meaning you dont have any real clue what's out there but you do belive in a higher power OwO

Nope, not the way I believe. I know something is out there. I believe in Jesus, I believe in the teachings of Judisum, I believe in the Pagan teachings. I believe three things, not not knowing what I know. I have a clue what's out there, and I have specific beliefs.
Maybe need a new name for that type of believing.... OR just say, I believe, that's it. I don't like type casting myself anyways.

If I didn't know my friedn alreayd had a gaia, I'd think you her. She's Jewish too (but not part of the guild). After she met me, she bombarded me with all sorts of questions about Wicca, and so I just gave her my books. After looking through them, she told me that she beleived in Jesus and everything, but she was amazed at how many things were similar between Wicca and Judaism (sp?). So now she proclaims herself a Jew-who-is-half-pagan. xp

Stuff like that happens. I don't read on Wiccian or Pagan practices, but I have similar beliefs. Maybe she and I can start a new religion? Need a name though... LOL

Do we really need more religion's x.x
PostPosted: Fri Aug 15, 2008 9:50 am

It's not really the religions that have problems, unless it's a religion that practices *****. I'm sorry, but that is one thing I have strong issues against, and am willing to face the wratch of the Rede if it comes to violence (mainly, me punching the lights out of a ***** mostly the people who have issues with other religions. >.< Proseltyizing is one thing, if done correctly, it save save people. But Going completely bananas because someone if not the same religiona s you....*cough*Witchtrials*cough* is going a little too far. If we could all get along and accept other people's differnt religions, we'd have half the world's problems solved in one go.

But we need conflict, infact some religion's like budisim I think, belives in a scale that is the balance in the earth, I think most people call it karma. but anyway, the scale needs to stay balanced, meaning for peace to exist we need chaos to balance it out.

With destruction, comes creation.

Not buddhism. Buddhism is very passive, they don't believe in needing chaos to work.
What you are saying is more like Scientology.
Karma is "The philosophical explanation of karma can differ slightly between traditions, but the general concept is basically the same. Through the law of karma, the effects of all deeds actively create past, present, and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to him/her and others. The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well."

No chaos involved.

No it's deffinatly buddhism, There was a thing on the HC About the Book of the Dead, and they talked about a big scaled that weighed people's good and bad deed's. and people wanted it to be balanced.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 16, 2008 12:32 pm

The Book of the Dead is Egyptian.
Buddhism is Asian.
Did u even listen to what religion they mentioned with the Book of the Dead??? Book of the Dead is more paganism and Egyptian where Buddhism is Chinese and something else all together.
I took college courses on religions, so if you really want to go into this, I can.

A Little more true websites on the subjects.

To actually learn about different religions, you need to read actual books on them, websites can be made by anyone, 11 and up if the 11 year old knows how to do it. (some do now a days)
An actual textbook is World Religions, Fourth edition, by Warren Matthews. Available on Amazon, it will teach about each religion in different countries. USF used it.
