Biography
Seth was born on the northern beaches of Cianwood. He constantly would wander out of the house and stare at the ocean. One day, he saw a bright light shoot out of the nearby Whirl Islands. A large bird flew out, and hovered away in the night sky. From then on, Seth had wanted to be a Pokemon trainer. He dedicated his life to finding that Pokemon, and capturing it, if applicable. After becoming a Trainer, he ventured to New Bark Town and met Prof. Elm. The Professor gave Seth a ticket to ride a ferry to Kanto. He was told it was a good place to start on his journey to becoming a Pokemon master.

((Sorry to hear that you're leaving Gaia Resen. I'd be happy to take over this rp when you leave though. I hope you fare well in the real world! blaugh ))
(( and I claim the profile thread and ill check for bad profiles))
an explanation is in order here.

About a month ago (give or take a few days) me and raskel both claimed (like hungry vultures I may add) differant parts of the pokemon world threads.Raskel is still the *boss* since he is now in possession of the main thread while I am currently in possesion of the sub-thread (Missy Eevee is in the same situation with her ((ooc)) sub-thread)

heres a few pointers of whats going on

-from now on any questions regarding profiles can be sent directly to me and I will personally walk you through any troubles you may have. please dont bother raskel. Im shure he wouldnt mind but I would like to exercise my newly found profile power (plus I like helping people wink )

-I would appreciate you dont post in this thread about complaints in somebodys character. Because to be honest, If there not breaking the set rules given by resengonImpact himself we don't care (bring it to the OOC thread or Pm fight about it no one wants there profile buried under a mountain of non-profile posts.)

-greetings are nice and enjoyable but if everyone in the thread greets the new person thats easily half a page so please greet when they start Rping or in the OOC thread (its much nicer to say hi when they will respond back to you anyway.) but for the same reasons as the no complaints rule please follow this one.

-Rascal can trot over at any given time and kick my lazy a** off the profile throne so don't tick him off.

-and yes I AM that sexy

Here are the Links for the OOC and RP threads respectfully.

RP Thread

OOC Thread

((Raskal Im courious on how you will respond so PM me with either your approval or disaproval because I know I touched upon some profile thread issues))

and while were at it lets talk about character alignments

Mr.Boss-man wants something new added to your profile before you start and if you don't get this messege its alright because we will inform you of the change when you start RPing.

Raskal56
Alrght guys. I want to spice things up a bit and add more flavor to your characters. For those of you who have played Dungeons and Dragons, this may look a little familliar (ok, it'll look really familliar being as I ripped this from the wikipedia page on D&D alignments).

Anyway, I'm introducing the concept of alignment to the RP. Basically what this means is that your character has a certain personality that can be defined in a few ways. There is Good and Evil, and there is Chaotic and Lawful (As well as neutral between both contrasts). Pairing one from the first set and one from the second allows for a concise way of summing up your character's veiws and potential actions. I'd like you all to read over the following and choose which alignment you feel bests suits your characters. Then I'd like you to post that alignment beneath your name in your profile. Remember, theses aren't rules to live by, they are simply guidelines for you to follow when writing about your character.

Kind of like natures for your character instead of your pokemon. blaugh
And if you don't get a few of the referances they use don't sweat it. I'll be happy to explain things to you if you have any questions.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alignments
Any person, creature, deity or extraplanar realm in Dungeons & Dragons can have one of the nine alignments. The sourcebook Complete Scoundrel cites real world fictional characters as examples of aligned individuals. In an attempt to simplify the codes of conduct for characters, non-canon takes on alignment sometimes occur.
Law implies honor, trustworthiness, obedience to authority, and reliability. On the downside, lawfulness can include closed-mindedness, reactionary adherence to tradition, judgmentalness, and a lack of adaptability. Those who consciously promote lawfulness say that only lawful behavior creates a society in which people can depend on each other and make the right decisions in full confidence that others will act as they should.
Chaos implies freedom, adaptability, and flexibility. On the downside, chaos can include recklessness, resentment toward legitimate authority, arbitrary actions, and irresponsibility. Those who promote chaotic behavior say that only unfettered personal freedom allows people to express themselves fully and lets society benefit from the potential that its individuals have within them.
Someone who is neutral with respect to law and chaos has a normal respect for authority and feels neither a compulsion to obey nor a compulsion to rebel. They are honest but can be tempted into lying or deceiving others.
Lawful Good
Lawful Good is known as the "Saintly" or "Crusader" alignment. A Lawful Good character typically acts with compassion, and always with honor and a sense of duty. A Lawful Good nation would consist of a well-organized government that works for the benefit of its citizens. Lawful Good characters include righteous knights, paladins, and most dwarves. Lawful Good creatures include the noble golden dragons. Lawful Good outsiders are known as Archons.
Lawful Good characters, especially paladins, may sometimes find themselves faced with the dilemma of whether to obey law or good when the two conflict - for example, upholding a sworn oath when it would lead innocents to come to harm - or conflicts between two orders, such as between their religious law and the law of the local ruler.
In the Complete Scoundrel sourcebook Batman, d**k Tracy and Indiana Jones are cited as examples of lawful good characters.[7]
Neutral Good
Neutral Good is known as the "Benefactor" alignment. A Neutral Good character is guided by his conscience and typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against Lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A Neutral Good character has no problems with co-operating with lawful officials, but does not feel beholden to them. In the event that doing the right thing requires the bending or breaking of rules, they do not suffer the same inner conflict that a Lawful Good character would. A doctor who treats soldiers from both sides in a war could be considered Neutral Good.
Examples of Neutral Good characters include Zorro, and Spider-Man.[7] The Neutral Good outsiders are known as Guardinals.
Chaotic Good
Chaotic Good is known as the "Beatific," "Rebel," or "Cynic" alignment. A Chaotic Good character favors change for a greater good, disdains bureaucratic organizations that get in the way of social improvement, and places a high value on personal freedom, not only for oneself, but for others as well. They always intend to do the right thing, but their methods are generally disorganised and often out of alignment with the rest of society. They have no use for those who would try to push them around and tell them what to do.
While they do not have evil intentions, they often do bad things (even if they do not necessarily enjoy doing these things) to people who are, in their views, bad people if it benefits their goal of achieving a greater good. Most elves are Chaotic Good, as are some fey.
Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica, Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly, and Robin Hood are examples of Chaotic Good individuals.[7] Eladrin are the outsider race representing Chaotic Good.
Lawful Neutral
Lawful Neutral is called the "Judge" or "Disciplined" alignment. A Lawful Neutral character typically believes strongly in Lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules and tradition, and often follows a personal code. A Lawful Neutral society would typically enforce strict laws to maintain social order, and place a high value on traditions and historical precedent. Examples of Lawful Neutral characters might include a soldier who always follows orders, a judge or enforcer that adheres mercilessly to the word of the law, a disciplined monk.
Characters of this alignment are neutral with regard to good and evil. This does not mean that Lawful Neutral characters are amoral or immoral, or do not have a moral compass; but simply that their moral considerations come a distant second to what their code, tradition or law dictates. They typically have a strong ethical code, but it is primarily guided by their system of belief, not by a commitment to good or evil.
James Bond, Odysseus, and Sanjuro from Yojimbo are considered by Complete Scoundrel as Lawful Neutral.[7] Three exemplars of Lawful Neutral outsiders exist. These are the Formians, the Inevitables and the Modrons.
Neutral
Neutral alignment, also referred to as True Neutral or Neutral Neutral, is called the "Undecided" or "Nature's" alignment. This alignment represents Neutral on both axes, and tends not to feel strongly towards any alignment. A farmer whose primary overriding concern is to feed his family is of this alignment. Most animals, lacking the capacity for moral judgement, are of this alignment. Many roguish characters who play all sides to suit themselves are also of this alignment.
Some Neutral characters, rather than feeling undecided, are committed to a balance between the alignments. They may see good, evil, law and chaos as simply prejudices and dangerous extremes. Mordenkainen is one such character who takes this concept to the extreme, dedicating himself to a detached philosophy of neutrality to ensure that no one alignment or power takes control of the Flanaess.
Druids frequently follow this True Neutral dedication to balance, and under Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules were required to be this alignment. In an example given in a D&D rulebook[citation needed], a typical druid might fight against a band of marauding gnolls, only to switch sides to save the gnoll's clan from being totally exterminated.
Lara Croft, Lucy Westenra from Dracula and Han Solo in his early Star Wars appearance are neutral.[7] The true neutral outsiders are known as the Rilmani.
Chaotic Neutral
Chaotic Neutral is called the "Anarchist" or "Free Spirit" alignment. A character of this alignment is an individualist who follows his or her own heart, and generally shirks rules and traditions. Good and Evil come a distant second to their need for personal freedom, and the only reliable thing about them is how totally unreliable they are. They typically act out of self-interest, but do not specifically enjoy seeing others suffer. Many free-spirited adventurers are of this alignment. Alternatively there are madmen whose actions are chaotic, but are not themselves inclined towards evil.
An unusual subset of Chaotic Neutral is "strongly Chaotic Neutral", describing a character who behaves chaotically to the point of appearing insane. Characters of this type may regularly change their appearance and attitudes for the sake of change, and intentionally disrupt organizations for the sole reason of disrupting a lawful construct. Characters of this type include the Xaositects from the Planescape setting, and Hennet from the third edition Player's Handbook. In Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Chaotic Neutral was frequently assumed to refer to this subset.
Captain Jack Sparrow, Al Swearengen from the TV series Deadwood, and Snake Plissken from Escape from New York are Chaotic Neutral characters according to Complete Scoundrel.[7] Slaadi represent pure chaos.
Lawful Evil
Lawful Evil is referred to as the "Dominator" or "Diabolic" alignment. Characters of this alignment see a well-ordered system as being easier to exploit, and show a combination of desirable and undesirable traits; while they usually obey their superiors and keep their word, they care nothing for the rights and freedoms of other individuals. Examples of this alignment include tyrants, devils, undiscriminating mercenary types who have a strict code of conduct, and loyal soldiers who enjoy the act of killing.
Like Lawful Good Paladins, Lawful Evil characters may sometimes find themselves faced with the dilemma of whether to obey law or evil when the two conflict - however their issues with Law versus Evil are more concerned with "Will I get caught?" vs "How does this benefit me?"
Boba Fett of Star Wars, and X-Men's Magneto are cited examples of Lawful Evil characters.[7] The Lawful Evil outsiders are known as Baatezu.
Neutral Evil
Neutral Evil is called the "Malefactor" alignment. Characters of this alignment are typically selfish and have no qualms about turning on their allies-of-the-moment. They have no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit to it. They abide by laws for only as long as it is convenient for them. A villain of this alignment can be more dangerous than either Lawful or Chaotic Evil characters, since he is neither bound by any sort of honor or tradition nor disorganized and pointlessly violent.
Examples are an assassin who has little regard for formal laws but does not needlessly kill, a henchman who plots behind his superior's back, or a mercenary who switches sides if made a better offer.
Complete Scoundrel cites X-Men's Mystique, and Sawyer of the early seasons of Lost as Neutral Evil characters.[7] Yugoloths are the multiversal representatives of Neutral Evil.
Chaotic Evil
Chaotic Evil is referred to as the "Destroyer" or "Demonic" alignment. Characters of this alignment tend to have no respect for rules, other peoples' lives, or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel. They set a high value on personal freedom, but do not have any regard for the lives or freedom of other people. They do not work well in a group, as they resent being given orders, and usually only behave themselves out of fear of punishment.
It is not compulsory for a Chaotic Evil character to be constantly performing sadistic acts just for the sake of being evil, or constantly disobeying orders just for the sake of causing chaos. They do however enjoy the suffering of others, and view honor and self-discipline as weaknesses. Serial killers and monsters of limited intelligence are typically Chaotic Evil.
According to the Complete Scoundrel sourcebook, Carl Denham from the 2005 remake of King Kong and Riddick from Pitch Black are Chaotic Evil.[7] The exemplars of chaotic evil are the Tanar'ri.
I will edit this post when nessessary.
Role Player: Solo Sonata
User Image
Name: Allison “Allie” Benson-Clarkson
Age: 17
Likes: Cute pokémon; Sunny days; Rainy nights; Cuddles; Nice clothes; Strawberries; Bossing people around; Travelling; Telling jokes; Seeing new places; Meeting interesting people
Loves: People who put all their effort into things; Sunsets; Beaches
Dislikes: Moody people; Inconsiderate people; Being told what to do; Seeing things get hurt; Pokémon battles
Hates: Her full name
Hometown: Sandgem Town
Biography:
Born in the dusty old town of Sandgem, Allie had a fairly average childhood for a girl living in the world of Pokémon. She was a product of her father’s second marriage and received the maximum of love and attention that they could afford. Her only quibble with her parents comes from the name they gave her. Not only does she dislike the ‘son’ ending to both her forename and double-barrelled surname she’s irked by her initials being ABC. She always introduces herself as ‘Allie’ and hates having to give her full name.
Although living in the same town as the famous Professor Rowan, Allie never actually met the man until after she’d gotten her first pokémon and by that time she was no longer eligible to receive a starter. Content with her Budew, she avoided battling after trying it once because of how badly Budew was hurt. Because of this defeat Allie doesn’t think much of herself as a battler, though thanks to her pokémon-training friends Budew was able to take part in battles without Allie being present.
Kind to people and pokémon alike; Allie refrains from malicious actions but has a temper when pushed. Her friends would describe her as a bossy sort, who likes to tell people off when they bug her and order others around if she sees them making mistakes. Sometimes they call her ‘Alphabet’ to annoy her when she goes overboard.
Although her life in Sandgem was enjoyable, it was dull in equal measure. As there was so little for her to do Allie decided she’d leave home the first good chance she got to go travelling. Dashing out on the spur of her moment, her chance came in the form of a private cruise ship making port in Sandgem. The owner took a shine to her and took Allie all the way to Kanto when she asked. Now free in an unknown land, Allie sets off on her first pokémon adventure.
Pokemon on Hand:
Roserade [Level 61]
This plant-like pokémon is Allie’s first pokémon and her protector. Although she lost her first battle as a Budew she actively sought out chances to train when Allie wasn’t around. Eventually she caught the eye of Allie’s friends and her trainer reluctantly allowed her to battle with them whenever she wanted. She finally evolved into a Roserade and maintains a close relationship with Allie.
Wooper [Level 5]
A few months ago Allie found a pokémon egg washed up on Sandgem’s shores. She took the thing home with her after waiting for hours to see if anything came to pick it up. After following the steps found in Pokémon Magazine’s ‘How to Care for Your Egg’ section it hatched into a Wooper. The blue water type is full of beans, textbook hyperactive and always getting himself into trouble.
Infernape [Level 78]
Lazy and loyal but brimming with combat abilities; Infernape belonged to one of Allie’s friends but has found his way into the girl’s possession. No longer having to abide by a strict training schedule Infernape is very pleased to be allowed to relax all the time. However he’s more than capable of fighting away dangers that Roserade can’t handle. Just don’t wake him up before noon or else things will end badly.
Blissey [Level 27]
Originally a pokémon belonging to Allie’s mother Jenson, Blissey is the healer on the girl’s team. She doesn’t have much combat experience so her level is relatively low, but she has a lot of medical experience from working in Rowan’s lab. She was gifted to Allie as a fifteenth birthday present and been loved as a member of Allie’s group ever since.
Extra Information:
-It seems as if Allie is on the run and hiding from someone
-There’s a small tattoo of Pidgey’s eyes on her outer right thigh, though she swears she doesn’t know how it got there
-Her favourite food is Chocolate Ice Cream, but she avoids it as she firmly believes that: Chocolate + Ice Cream = Fat Allie. And that’s fatal. Err, fatally
-She has an older half-sister
-She looks forward to getting married so that she can replace her surname
-As such, Allie scores people based on the quality of their surname
He caught him as a Onix and traveled around for a good portion of the beginning of his journey it wasn't until he meet a trainer and learned how to evolve him that Kijin had traded him. That was the first and last time he had ever thought about trading pokemon. Occasional Kijin would pull him out and rise on his head to travel on the open road.
Metagross [Lv 47]
Metagross was a little bit of a hassle to handle due to what he had to go through to catch him. This steel beast was going on a rampage on one of moutntain paths, the pokemon had been harassing both pokemon and people alike. He had been chasing Kijin through the mountain for a few hours until Kijin fought back and well he caught him after a few rounds with the pokeballs.
Tropius [Lv 35]
Tropius was a pokemon he came across in one of the high grass areas, it was a interesting encounter since Tropius seemed to come right to him in the grass and give him some of her fruit. After some a battle and capture she will still give him fruit even before battles.
Absol [Lv 35]
Absol was also in the area with Tropius but it seemed to have been left by its trainer, he didn't know that the pokeball he picked up had something inside it until he tried to use it on Tropius. The pokemon was a little on edge for some time after introductions but now he is comfortable with Kijin and has a tendency to sleep around him.
Extra:
-If he has the time he likes to bring his pokemon out all the time
-Tries to avoid the cities as much as possible and when he has to he stays at the pokemon center.
