Ha Ha! reviving old threads!! Hope someone sees this.
So, I'm cosplaying
Jack Frost. (ain't 'e cute?)
I've used wigs before, but I don't claim to be particularly good with them. Was wondering if anyone with more experience-- or just an opinion-- can help me out. Here's what I'm looking at. (if you want reference, I tried to get a detailed picture at a good angle for the one above.) My thoughts are below, but I'd like an opinion or so from some with more experience, or just a frest set of eyes.

I've managed to do some styling before, but never successfully cut a wig-- which is what my friend suggests i do for the last two. I will end up styling them no matter what.
I'm personally stuck between (1) and (4). On (1) the back is short, but the front is more accurate and probably wouldn't need to be cut before styling. (4) probably has the volume and length to be cut and styled any way i want it, but it would require me to cut and probably heat style it before gel, something i'm not particularly comfortable with at this point on my own. (then again, cosplay is all a learning process.)
The con is in about a month, but I will be doing sort of a "test run" this weekend with
this. Quite a bit too long, and I won't cut it cause it's for another character, but I am willing to style it. I put it here, because i want to know that what I'm buying is better for the look than what I already have.
