"Hello, my name is Raine of Sootopolis," he said getting Jace's hand to shake. "I was just wondering if there were any other routes to get to Pallet Town. As you may've already noticed, I'm new in the region and I'd really want to get a chance to visit the old Professor in his lab," he explained.

Any kind of information would be appreciated. Having to go and visit almost every town and city on the way would be unwise without an updated Pokedex. "I'd like to inquire about a Pokedex upgrade in Pallet Town for my own, you see," he said, then, reaching inside the bag strapped round his hips, and revealing a Blue Pokedex. "It's updated with the Pokemon of the Hoenn Region, but it's quite different here in Kanto, ain't it?" he asked, chuckling.

"Hahaha, I can tell." Lilly laughed." Their battling is intense. Who's the guy battling Kage?" she asked. Lilly wasnt surprised that Slowpoke had talked to her. She had seen and heard many stranger things on her travels. Missy had totally tuned Slowking and Lilly out. She was watching the battle so intentlly, that she fell off of Lilly's shoulder and she had to catch her. " by the way, my name is Lilly." she said reaching a hand out to Slowking and Gardivor. " and this is my pokemon Missy."

"Wow, nice pokedex, I haven't seen one that fancy before." In fact, Raskal hadn't seen a pokedex since he recieved his first one way back in New Bark Town from Prof. Birch. It was one of those things he missed about being a normal trainer.

Raskal thought to himself for a moment. He considered the routes he had taken in the past to get back and forth quickly between the cities of the region and quickly plotted out the swiftest course in his mind. "Well most trainers would go North to Cerulean City, then traverse through Mt. Moon to Pewter City. From there its just a straight shot South through the Viridian Forrest, to Pallet Town." Then with a confident grin he added, "Put personally I find its quicker to head South to Fucia City, then ride a ferry to Cinnabar Island in the West. Pallet town is just another short ferry ride North from there."

"Quickest way for me is a sea route," he said, stowing away his Pokedex. "And, it'll give my Pokemon some due training as well." Of course, what better route to take than the sea route. That's how it goes for a Water Pokemon trainer like him. He nodded. "Thanks a lot, Jace," he said, shaking the other guy's hand one more time.

"So, I guess I'm off to the Pokemart, then. That is, if you don't mind tagging along. I don't mind having some company," said Raine.

"Bye Mom, Bye Dad," Jake yelled, as the subway rolled out of the station. He waited with his sweet Crainidos by his side. He was so anxious to get to Kanto and start his journey there. Saffron City was an hour away, from there he had decided to fly on Pidgeot to Vermillion and find new friends. He hated to travel alone.

"Ha,"Lilly laughed looking at Missy. " Yeah, she is. She is the best and my very first pokemon in my team. We have an unseprable bond. I mean my other pokemon and I have the same bond but there is something about your very first pokemon that you cant deny." Lilly smiled looking down at Missy lovingly.

"Gym?" he asked, smiling while walking past the thresh of the Pokemon Center doors. The glass doors slid open and dinged again. This made him look at Jace and chuckle a bit. "No-no, see, I'm a coordinator, believe it or not," explained Raine. "If, by chance, there's a Pokemon Contest being held on Cinnabar Island then I'm participating,"

Making their way to the Pokemart, he reached inside his bag and took a few Pokes to be used in the transaction. Also, he revealed what seemed to be a Pokegear from within the vest and scarf he was wearing. "So," mused Raine as the Pokemart doors opened for them. He was checking the Pokegear Map, "Do YOU plan on challenging the Gym at Cinnabar Island?"

Raine walked over to the isles, expecting Jace to be right beside him. He retrieved a few Potions and Full Heals while on the way, as well as a few freshly picked Wiki Berries and Belue Berries in packs imported from the Sinnoh Region. It would seem that the best berries in the Pokemon World are grown there.

"Not exactly. I have... other business on the Island i'm afraid." Then quickly changing the subject he added. "I'm afraid you're out of luck though if you're looking to participate in contests. Here in Kanto they aren't very popular, although you may get lucky and find some small scale contests occasionaly."

Suddenly Raskal had a thought. "Hey wait, so does that mean you're from the Hoen region?"
