i agree but it is fun to go see the movies and then make fun of it, i have the twilight movie and i usually throw stuff at the tv while i'm watching it...good times Dark Genosha I hate Twilight and its brought-on vampire craze. Its just utter bull I think. I hope no other movies are made. I went to see the first one and I hated it. And guess what a friend got e for Christmas... That's right, the Twilight dvd. God, I was so pissed off with Twilight and the vampire craze! I can't believe that there are good-sized wars about "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob". That's just pathetic, really.

Iceestar I would like to talk with all of those out there sick of twilight. In here don't talk bad about twilght lovers or any of that. Just discuss why you don't like twilight or how it's like taking over the world. None of the following things is to offend twilight fans. I love this pic: And this one: yay! someone to agree with ^.-

I read Twilight back when no one even knew what it was.
...No really. I was in middle school and every person, girl and guy, that saw me with it reacted with- "...What the hell is that book about?"
Now I'm not going to lie...the first time I read through the series I adored it. ...but then I read through it again, and again after for lack of anything else to read at that time.
Then I realized how much I had begun to hate it. I've gone on many rants, each longer than the last, about this series...but allow me to make a few points; --- *It's bland. The story progresses at a very slow pace and repeats previously mentioned facts far too much.
*Vampires don't sparkle.
*Meyer spent almost the ENTIRE series exclaiming that Jacob and the others were werewolves...which is funny because I'm pretty sure the Cullen's referred to them as such as well. ...then later on in I think the last book she clarifies that they aren't werewolves. Well for one, any person who has seen any REAL vampire/werewolf movies, or who has studied the lore, would know right off of the bat that a werewolf only transforms on a full moon...so you'd think the Cullen's, who have been around for what she stated as hundreds of years, would know that too. Jacob is a SHAPE-SHIFTER. Not a god forsaken werewolf.
*Edward got Bella pregnant. Lolwut.
*Did I mention that they SPARKLE?
*Bella is...well, lacking a bit of substance upstairs...you know in that space where her BRAIN should be. Edward is in many ways, abusive...and she lets him act that way. Not to mention he hid in her bedroom and watched her sleep.
*In the last book- there was this HUGE build up over a massive vampire battle...and they talked it out. VAMPIRES DO NOT TALK IT OUT. I mean, I'm sure they can be rational beings to some degree within their own species...but to the extent she brought it to was just...not in any way believable. In short, this: Quote: Bella shouldn't have become a vampire, ever, and they went to all the trouble of preparing to fight the Volturi, they should've fought the damn Volturi! * Quote: She makes it clear at first that she isn't attracted to, nor found attractive by the male persuasion, and yet half the school supposedly fell in love with her, and she fell in love way too quickly with Edward. This.
I normally don't hate on it. I only say something when my opinion is requested, and if it's in person I rarely go on a rant about it since I'm sure it annoys everyone. If you like the book, that's cool- but don't fangirl about it around people who don't. Edward is a fictional character and he will never love you.

I liked Twilight back when preps would call us freaks for liking vampires. I read the whole series twice before the movie. The movies ruined the whole thing. The books aren't much good, but like... PREP-IFY THE WHOLE THING I also pity the Vampire Diaries fans.. The actors of Twilight can't act to save their lives.

I'm tired of vampires and werewolves and zombies.
Whatever happened to coming up with some of your own species? Huh? It's not impossible, you know.

Alright finally I can bash on what I really think of Twilight.
Now you all have to here this; if you haven't read it on yahoo or msn, Twilight has been put on the ban list for schools around the country because its too "vulgar" and or "inappropriate for the child/ student of my school/ of my home" Pft if that isn't a crock of s**t I don't know what is! my god this book is going to take over the entire god damn world! okay the movies were fine I knew they were going to be crappy the second I saw Robert Patterson as Edward. The clothing line was a little much and it took over my special place a.k.a hot topic. Then the trading cards, perfume, lip balm, and SPARKLE SPRAY went over the line. but I swear if anything went so far over the line with its desperate cry for attention it would have to be the TWILIGHT BARBIE DOLLS! yes I said it the Edward doll that ACTUALLY sparkles when you take off his shirt! Oh My god WTF! where does this picture go wrong in your eyes? hmm, could it be maybe he not only sparkles like the magical p***y fairy he is, or maybe because you have to take off his cloths! yeah I wonder if he's as stone like as Stephanie Meyer says he is in the book.
now I totally agree with everyone that has already said. Why though I have to ask? why do they have to sparkle? why are the "vegetarians" when the clearly drink animal blood? Why do they go to high school when they've gone to high school like fifteen million times? and my biggest question of all. what does Edward really see in Bella? cause I don't think its her smarts he's after.
There! that's half of what I think, I could go on forever.

I read the first Twilight book five years ago, and I actually enjoyed it. Then it started popping up everywhere I went and three years later I heard a movie was fixated and s**t and EGHH it was disgusting. I mean it was an okay book, I didn't really hate it or anything. But it became so overrated and all fussed about, it didn't deserve the kind of attention it got. And I hate fangirls. They have no point.

A lot of people were reading it at my school, not mindlessly fangirling about it, but reading it. A few convinced me to give it a try, and I must admit, I enjoyed reading it. (Doesn't make it any less of a crap book, but the fact is that it is easy and pleasant to read when it's not being shoved down your throat by a bunch of people who fantasize about a sparkly corpse.) Then I read the next two, (or should I say stared at the pages while nothing happened on them,) and then the last one pushed it too far. (I thought my Mary-Sue-o-meter had reached it's limits with Bella, but Renespawn sent it off the scale.) I have nothing against the books, SMeyer, or the fans. The only thing that really, really irks me about the books is that they're hailed as the awesomest thing since someone invented a machine that slices bread and plays Beatles songs while painting the Mona Lisa. (That would be the greatest machine EVER, but I digress.) It's not. It's pop-fiction, an easy read by a mediocre writer about simple characters doing simple stuff. Something you get out of the library, laugh at, and never read again. It's not frickin' Shakespeare.
