Well, I have Soul Silver too, and I got bored, so I decided to play the game as a dude, lol. Not a big difference. And on Soul Silver, I have Feraligatr, Leafeon, Espeon, Umbreon, and Entei on my team. It's still so addicting... What's your favorite pokeathelon event(s)?

The Soul Dew Guardian kyra-san The Soul Dew Guardian kyra-san The Soul Dew Guardian I rly want one of the games! >.< Idk which version I want, I want Heart Gold cuz there's more pokèmon that I want in it (like Growlithe), but I want Soul Silver cuz 1 of my friends got Heart Gold and I don't want to copy him, plus, it has Lugia in it at a lower level. ^^ Usually when I'm playing Pokemon I liek to use a flying Pokemon with a secondary element, or a non-flying type that can learn Fly (I often use a dragon type), instead of using the basic bird Pokemon (Pidgy, Taillow, etc), so that I can cover as many elements as possible. I used Lugia because it's psychic/flying. I would've used Ho-oh, but I already had a fire type (my starter).
*scratchs head* Ummm, what I'm getting at is that duel types are fantabulous and if you buy HG and want to use Ho-oh, you should start with the grass or water starter. Also, if you use Ho-oh, you probably won't use Arcanine.
In other news, I FINALLY GOT ME A ROSERADE! *favorite Pokemon*hmm... well, i was planning that when I got the game, to have Chikorita as my starter, and then get Charizard and Swampert later in in the game. I usually have a team with dfferent types, but occasinally a team with 2 pokèmon that share a type (ex. on diamond, Torterra and Roserade) well, I think that I want SoulSilver. Of course, I have to wait, since my mom INSISTS on using my Amazon card to get one of the games... Congrats on the Roserade! ^^ I love that pokèmon's sp atk stat! I'm used to being surrounded by people who play Pokemon, but don't know how to be good at it. They never think about what Pokemon they're going to use later in the game, so they always pick the coolest looking starter and then get upset when they find a cooler looking Pokemon of the same type later in the game. They also train one Pokemon until it's a really high level, but leave the rest of their team at low levels. I hate it when people do that. It activates my pokerage.
My Roserade's personality is +Sp. Attack. Lucky!~
I got my friend to trade me a bunch of starters that she got, so now the only starters I don't have are Charmander, Torchic, and Piplup. Luckily, I still have Pearl so I can get Piplup easily, and I can get the other 2 from Oak/Steven after I beat Red.
I finally got rid of my Lanturn. Its only good stat was HP (which was over 200 at lv 50), all its other stats sucked. I'm using Blastoise instead. Now I don't have an electric type, so I'm saving up BP to teach my Typhlosion Thunder Punch. If I'm lucky, Blastoise will be able to learn it instead.
Currently trying to collect 5 Shiny Leaves. Only have 1 right now. Can't remember what Lyra (or Ethan) gives you though.Well, my team ended up being totally different from what I expected. Instead, I have the 3 Johto starters, Ho-Oh (I know, 2 fire types but I dont really care), Espeon, and Dragonite. I need to beat 2 more Kanto gyms... well, i remember when I was totally noobish at pokemon, got sapphire, and only really trained my Swampert, lol. But I fixed the noobish mistake. Sweet! What's his/her nature? I have 2 Roserades, my male is a shiny one. I have 1 Shiny leaf on my Espeon. Have you ever been to Serebii.net? They can tell you where to look for Shiny leafs. They give you a crown, but I forget the exact name of the crown, but I think it's for acceories to dress up your pokèmon. If you have any, how many shiny pokèmon do you have? I used to train one Pokemon back when I played Red/Blue (can't remember which one) for the first time. Never did again. It's modest. I go on Serebii often, it's really useful. I've had many shinies in the past, but they're all gone (whether by my game getting stolen or my brother restarting the game without my permission). The only shiny I currently have is a Shellos (west). It looks EXACTLY like a normal Shellos. >:

Have you ever used of the chaining method to get shinies? That's how I got most of mine. I also got lucky when I was chaining ralts, cuz right after 1 shiny patch appeared, and I caught that ralts, another 1 apppeared, of the opposite gender. So, I now have a shiny Gardevoir and shiny Gallade.

In case anyone else loses their Pokéwalker: Quote: Pokémon can be restored to the game it was taken from if a Pokéwalker is lost or broken by pressing and holding Up, Select, and R at the Pokéwalker connection screen. The Pokémon will be returned to the PC box with its level or happiness unaffected. Nintendo has started selling individual Pokéwalkers, battery covers, and clip covers as replacements on their online store. These replacements can be used with any HeartGold or SoulSilver game card, regardless of the default language. Anyway, I've gotten all but the Earth Badge now. I'm raising a Scizor for my party right now, but I'll probably try fighting Blue once he's reached the same level as the rest of my party.

I would go try it if my brother hadn't restarted my game. *shakefist* That's pretty cool. I only ever get lame shiny Pokemon (Wurple, Shellos, etc)
My brother's Pokewalker isn't connecting to his game anymore, anyone know why / had this problem happen to them?

My brother's Pokewalker isn't connecting to his game anymore, anyone know why / had this problem happen to them?Hmm... well, I think that I only need that connecter, and I can get on wifi. It's kinda a long process, you have to chain 40 of the same pokemon, and you really do need repels if you ever do chain. Also, you can only chain on Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. If you do ever get the chance to use it, you can chain any pokemon that you can find in the grass (the easest and most annoying is bidoof) Sorry, I don't think that I can help you there, unless if he is somehow blocking the connection. Also, I went on a school trip to Washington D.C., took my Pokewalker with me, and wow, did I have a lot of steps!

I bought Heart Gold because I owned silver when I was a kid and I'm VERY happy about all of the changes they made! I have never been so into a pokemon game since these came out, I've always played the games but I've always been partial to digimon... redface
