In a puff of white smoke, San appeared back in the library. He was to meet Bast sensei soon for Fuuin jutsu training even though he was supposed to be watching his brother. Thankfully his change clone could easily cover that as it was capable of Chakra minipulation. But San, being san, felt he owed it to Bast sensei to read up and try to absorb as much as he could on his own as to not waste her time. He walked through the library and began grabbing books left and right, anything dealing with seals.

The gennin could only show a small sign of disappointment as Bast sensei failed to show. With a slight frown on his face, the chunnin formed his hands into a single seal and used Shunshin no jutsu to head out to the Kazekage's office.

Bast popped out of a book cover on her bedside table, hitting the floor with a soft thud as she undid Shinranbanshou Douka no Jutsu. Once returned to her normal form, she contacted her guests, made sure that they were well, and then pulled out a pencil. She opened the book and scribbled down a few notes before standing back.

Conceptualize, grasp, and mold, she thought to herself, changing the Chakra flows of her mind ever so slightly. The energy began to flow more smoothly as the balance of Chakra in her mind shifted from balanced to a majority of mental Chakra. After that, solidify the channels in order to equally distribute more energy more efficiently.

Bast raised a finger and realigned her Chakra channels slightly to allow more mental Chakra access to her fingers. Using that mental Chakra, she drew a summoning seal in the air and let it hang for a moment before activating Gyaku-Kuchiyose. She popped out of her book again, and before the seal had faded, the woman had written something else down in her book and left.

Silas picked up more trash and walked along the outside of the private residence hall. Not finding much more trash he figured it would be best to at least find the trash bin. As he walked along the street he found a trash compactor, smiled, and then threw the trash down the chute.

Taking a quick look around the perimeter of Bast's house, Ganchou gave a small smile. Looking around, he quickly threw a Fubiki ice bomb over the wall, trying to cause a little mischief. Not seconds later, 3 more flew back at him, and he barely could dodge them all. Laughing, he went off on his way, smiling underneath his mask. The Miyamoto's were indeed to be feared... but he was loyal to them to the bone. If they gave him a direct order, he would never refuse. They had saved him, those Miyamoto's, and given him the chance for the life he had now.

Bast popped in to her room and tumbled to the floor. She strolled about the house until she found Shirayuki, whom she ordered to sing a Chakra-restoring song to the lake. The girl nodded and strolled outside to the lake; a few moments later, Bast heard Carmina Burana coming from outside, and felt an extra 180 Chakra sublimate in to the technique as the girl also activated Kaiku no Butsuon. The woman smiled and went back to her room, and fell asleep quickly.

Bast awoke a while later, and it seemed that the song was still playing. The woman pulled out her journal and scribbled an entry, and then snapped the book shut once more. Soon after, she left the area.

Bast returned to her land via the large hoatzin flock that she had created. The flock descended on the lake and sank in to it, leaving the woman standing on the choppy surface of the body of water. She strolled toward her household pensively, noting the absence of Shirayuki. The woman figured that the girl was probably resting after a strenuous day, and settled instead for a wave at the Hide sisters. She was about to breach conversation with them when the Princess, Maimakterion, and Mononoke all strolled out of the lake.

The three golems drip-dried as the group walked around to the front of the household, and took seats on a boulder, the ground, and the front walkway, respectively. The Princess set the head of her hammer on the ground and leaned on the handle; Maimakterion shifted in to his youthful boy form, but only half-formed his arms; Mononoke sat regally with her hands in her lap, posture wonderful. Bast sidled up next to Mononoke on the front walkway.

"What's up?" she asked nonchalantly. She followed the statement with a quick drink from her flask, savoring the herbal scents of the tea as it washed down her throat. The first to respond was the Princess.

"It's getting a bit cramped in the lake," the brusque girl with hair the color of cherry wood stated. "I'm here to tell you that you need to take us on more missions and things like that."

Bast took another swig from her flask.

"If that's all you needed to say, then why did all three of you come out? You know I'm fine with that as long as you stay within contact range," the woman responded calmly.

"He--" the Princess began, only to be interrupted by Maimakterion.

"I believe this situation is comparable to that of children telling their parent of a decision. We were going to do this no matter what, but we felt as if this was a needed gesture," the boy stated, drawing in the dirt with a claw-like finger.

"Don't hold yourself back, by all means," the woman urged. She made a gesture at Maimakterion, signaling that he should continue.

"We are embodiments, metaphorically speaking, of your views and desires of what the world should and can be. You formed each of us with a specific goal in mind, and then built us up around that. We mirror your desires, and very few of us wish to stay in one place. You should understand this better than anyone," the boy said softly, drawing a skeletal system in the dirt. "Mononoke, even though she's a fuddy-duddy most of the time, has agreed that she feels these urges, although they are much more subdued than those of me and Samidare. She's fine with simply being able to move in a less circuitous place than the lake, whereas the two of us wish to build and perform other feats previously dedicated to living creatures."

Bast nodded and pulled out her notebook; she immediately began taking notes on the exchange, her eyes alight with interest and glee behind the nearly opaque goggles that she wore. After a moment, she heard a shuffling beside her and looked over to see Mononoke pulling her mask slightly away from her face. The girl took a deep breath, and then replaced the mask, settling for a nod of agreement.

"Alright, I suppose that's a passable request. While I work on making you a bigger place to play in, you may feel free to walk around the Village." The woman smiled, jotted a final note in her notebook, and the snapped it shut. "But if you hurt the wildlife I'll kill you."

The woman then took another swig, and as soon as the Princess and Maimakterion left, closed her flask again. She immediately felt a pair of sun-warmed arms wrap around her as Mononoke hugged the woman. The hug was short, but it made Bast feel happy.

Tired, the woman patted Mononoke on the head and stood. She headed off to her room, followed shortly by the golem girl. Within a few minutes, she was asleep and the girl was busy playing Solitaire.

The afternoon light was waning, and as Bast opened her eyes and looked tiredly upward through her nearly-opaque goggles at the ceiling she heard the faint flipping of cards nearby. The room, stained orange by the light of early-evening, still offered enough light to play Solitaire without straining the eyes, it seemed; this information entered Bast's mind via the connection that she had with Mononoke. The woman realized that she had slept fully-clothed and quickly slid out of bed and in to a new set of clothing. She performed various other necessities and emerged from the house, the masked girl in tow. The two passed by the Princess, who was out on a walk, as they exited the estate, and waved to her as the key locked the front gate.

Trash Collection: Post 3/3

Bast swooped in on her next location for cleaning and gasped. Youngsters had been littering outside her compound! This simply would not do. She summoned a spike of metal and got to stabbing cans. She filled up the spike and then crushed the cans so that they would take up less space. After that, she dumped them in to a trash can. What followed was a frenzied stabbing of papers and debris, and then the equally frenzied emptying of the same in to the same trash can. The symphony of heroic cleaning reached amazing heights when, in a fit of rage-cleaning, Bast called forth a broom and swept the area. The streets and sidewalks were spotless, and the children and old folks cheered her on as she continued her cleaning crusade throughout the Village.

Bast strolled back in to her compound, determined to sleep until sundown. She was exhausted and needed the rest, to say the least of her lack of energy. She unlocked, opened, passed through, closed, and locked the gate, and then quickly moved down the long path to her house. A menagerie of animals greeted her by keeping their respective distances, and fell out of sight altogether as soon as she entered her house. She greeted her guests briefly, and then retreated to her room. She kicked off her shoes and sent out a signal to the Princess to answer the gate if anyone came.

With all of her arrangements for the day taken care of, the woman spent a short while in the bathroom and emerged clean, refreshed, and relaxed in a clean set of pajamas. She was asleep in bed within the minute.

"Forge Required" x5: Post 5/5

Bast woke up with the Princess calling to her, saying something about guards being at the gate. Bast dressed and walked outside, taking her time strolling down the long path to the gate to her property. Outside stood a few men who, upon closer inspection, were ANBU in the Village. They gave a password and passed a few papers through the bars of the gate. Thereafter, they vanished.

Bast took a look at the papers and found that they were all orders for armor and weaponry for a new recruit or two. It seemed that they wanted her to make quality items specifically for the occasion, because the C-Ranked mission papers promised 500 Ryou per item.

She was about to start raking in the dough.

The woman made her way back to her forge, after changing in to her dirty clothes again, where all of the crappy spoils from her raid on the old capitol were already organized, and started melting down some metals.

The first items out and completed were the arm guards. They were measured according to the specifications, and were nearly flawless in construction. Arm guards were, after all, some of the most frequently replaced armor pieces.

The second item was the set of shin guards used by the ANBU. The measurements, again, were given, and a few pieces of the crappy armor that she stole from the old capitol were melted down, separated out, and used. The shin guards were set to cool next to the arm guards.

The third item was the chest plate. It was likely to take up the most amount of materials, so it should have been done first, but the other pieces were more important. Almost all of the remaining armors went in to making the sturdy, safe piece of armor, leaving very little for the final two requests.

The second to last request was for hand guards, a piece formally requested by the inductee. The many plates were easy enough, but connecting the lot of them would have to occur after they cooled. The plates were cooled in water but not set aside until each was ready to be connected in sequence to the next. The entire assembled piece was then set aside to cool. The final adjustments and connections would be made later.

The final piece was the simplest of all: every ANBU recruit, due to a new policy, would be issued a new headband, which was what the woman was charged with making. This process took the last of the stolen armor, and lasted for less than a half-hour. The plate was set to cool next to the other pieces, and Bast took a break for a short while to get out of the hot forge.

An hour or so later, after chatting with her guests, Bast re-entered the forge and made the final connections of the hand guards and engraved the symbol for Sunagakure on to the headband. Thereafter, the money mysteriously arrived on her lounge's table and the pieces disappeared, along with the requests. Bast retreated from the forge and locked it once more, and then headed in for a quick shower. She would chat idly with her guests for a while out in the garden once finished and clothed in cleaner garments.

Bast yawned as the alarm went off, and then excused herself from her guests. She quickly equipped all of her usual armors and weapons, and then made her way for the gate. The Princess tagged along as the woman made her way for the Gates, and even waited as she closed and locked her own gate behind them.

Figuring the bird was from the enemies, Bast ducked. This was not to avoid the bird; rather, it was to avoid the hammer that the Princess was swinging for the bird. The hammer's head, being roughly four feet in diameter, was carrying enough force behind it to knock the bird back to the location from whence it came, but this time as a mild paste. This seemed like an appropriate movement, as the bird seemed to be very desperately swooping for where Bast had been.

Meanwhile, Bast took the opportunity to run out of the area. The Princess would join her shortly afterward, as soon as the bird ceased to be a problem. White birds, Bast reasoned, looked too peaceful to be used by anyone other than the bad guys pretending to be good. That was just how things went, she thought.
