Harajuku Style ~ Can I pull it off in the US?

I find it weird that American's want to dress Asian, and Asian want to dress American.
I love Japanese Street Style, I got to see it everyday when I lived in Japan, like the real style that everyone over dressed like, I've never seen anyone dress harajuku though like those photos. I liked a lot of there small stores, it's funny that once I got back to the states all the things that use to be popular over there is now popular over here.

Yes you can :3 I'm in NYC and I'm part of the lolita community and every now and then I dress Creepy cute as well. We have meetups and most of the girls in the group are very nice. If you wish to find friends to dress up with so you can be more brave about it I suggest finding a community on facebook for either lolita or jfashion. Most of the time lolitas branch out to other styles not just lolita. Hope this helps!
