The moment Ahriman left the temple, the servants flooded in. “Why can I not have a moment of peace?” She muttered inwardly.

“Your ladyship, we are here to escort you back to your room.” The elvish woman stood slowly, keeping her head down before slightly raising her eyes upward. “Mysto prevail.” She put a hand on her heart, staring up at the flawless white face above.

She was escorted down the vast halls back into her prison cell. She heard the door click. Llewelyn could feel her heart palpitate in her chest. Her legs quivered and she fell to the ground, wrapping her arms around herself as silvery tears poured from her eyes. They made rivers down her cheeks, dripping onto the floor. Her body quaked from the cold and her sorrow. Her parents would have never treated her like this—not as a prisoner.
A glint caught her eye.

It was her silver harp, standing tall and proud in her room, like a beacon. It was as if Mysto herself was pleading for her to play. Llewelyn brought herself too. She stood slowly, bringing herself to sit at the instrument. Raising an elegant hand, she brushed the strings. The vibes sent a chill up her spine. A small smile graced her beautiful lips. She wiped her eyes and plucked a few notes. Her back erected, she sat firmly on the chair. Soon her music filled the Silver Halls. Her voice was inhuman. It was so lovely and blissful, if one heard it, they would have to spare at least a single moment to listen. The snow outside seemed to glisten brighter, the atmosphere lifting wonderfully upwards.
Her heart calmed, her tears stopped, the music filling her.

A while later, her door was unlocked. ”Your ladyship, it is time for you to eat.”The music faded into the air. She stood. “Come in.”Her faerie servants came to her with a new silk gown. They dressed her, garnished her with jewels and her head dress which identified her as the High Countess. Then, she was escorted to the table where a feast was lain out for her and his Lordship. She sat and lowered her head, awaiting her company.

Walking along he ground, Vexrion kept his eyes alert for any others of his kind. There was a light crunch beneath his feet as the elven rebel continued along his way, listening for the sounds of any living creature. When he heard it, in the sound of a sword hitting a tree, he took off in a run, watching his steps so as to not create too loud an approaching sound. When he came upon a sword wielding female and the fire general he immediately unsheathed his sword, assuming the girl to be elven. "You! Swordsman! Prepare yourself!" he walked out of the tree, holding the sword with both hands and slightly to the side, ready to attack. He doubted he could take on the General, but he also doubted the General would attack unprovoked.

((-angry N turns blue.. because he's suffocating-

Ok so there was an extensive piece of text covering a court process held in the Mystocentrian Noble Courts. Gaia decided N should not post that, and it's gone. Zerix's will be done, there is no long post.
N is sadface.
The summary is: ))

The issue raised was that due to the law of corrosion, the drinking water of the city of Haeriyn'moor may be tainted as magic is used extensively during the process of gathering the snow for water.
The decision made was that the worries were unrealistic because it was determined the Firemen did not use enough magic to corrode the water to an extent to make it unfit for consumption.
Ahriman told the guys who raised the issue to get bent and everyone went home.

Having returned to the Silver Hall, the Lord was directed to his quarters to change from his courtly robes. For the coming break and luncheon, he wore a silver tunic with a high collar, white gloves and shoes to cover the bones of his feet and hands, and long dark bottoms. The mask he chose was his silvery one.

Ahriman arrived a few moments after Llewenlyn in the feast hall with a servant tailing behind him. He bowed to the lady present and spoke, "My apologies for my lateness, High Countess. I hope you have not had to wait too long." He repeated the usual phrase spoken when arriving, even just a little bit, late from court meetings. Ahriman took his seat at he head of the table and relaxed. "Please, eat and enjoy, Lady Dulaman." He told her softly. It was the first moment he could relax after the busy hours at the Noble court and did not mind at all just sitting, while Llewenlyn ate.

((Huh I was expecting the rebels to know each other for some reason))

Iri turned his head towards the sound of a new voice. An elf, by the looks of it. "Actually, little pointy-ears, the correct term is swordwoman." He snorted in amusement and puffed a cloud of smoke into the elf's general direction. "However, I'm not in the mood to moderate a fight as I'd rather no watch you two skewer yourselves from some petty reason or another. There shall be no meaningless bloodshed on my day to relax." His tail arched and landed between the two with a heavy thud. "Now, come, sheath your metal stick, take a seat, and relax."

((Different rebel groups, maybe? ))

{We decided to have them meet in-roleplay, if only for an interesting first encounter.}

Romhild was caught off guard by the sudden burst of smoke, any sense of relaxation or calmness fleeing from her being. She swiftly turned about to face the rumbling voice and air of smoke, only to be greeted by the sight of a very, very large dragon. She did not reply for many moments, her eyes wide with pure fear at the sight of the mighty lizard. Her heart furiously beat within her chest, desperately hoping that this particular creature was not hungry for the flesh of a human maiden. When she finally regained enough composure to speak, she stuttured out, "W-w-well, uh..I...I try to..uhm...I try to gr..gradually work my way into..into a state of calm. So I can..you know...uhm...keep from cramping all too badly afterwards." One could not really blaim the girl for her immediate fear. More than likely, this was the very first time in which she had ever layed eyes upon a real life dragon. Her response was likely better than that of most humans, however, since most would probably just piss themselves crying or run at first sight whilst screaming their lungs out.

When the elf so boldly proclaimed his intent to attack, in front of the probably hungry dragon no less, Romhild quietly swore to herself. Her day just had to start off as a date with death, didn't it?! She unsheathed her sword once more, about to prepare to defend herself until the dragon interveined. She let out a soft sigh of relief, hesitantly putting away her blade once more.

Vexrion effortlessly spun the sword in one hand and sheathed it. "If only because I always respected your affinity." He muttered before leaning against a tree. "And it would not be meaningless, I have my reasons." He proclaimed loudly so that the General would hear. "And that MAY be the term, but the other gets the point anyways. So why bother when the other term serves its purpose just as well?"

The servants began to put food on her plate. Once it was full they stepped back and disappeared into the kitchen. She reached and lay a cloth napkin over her lap. Llewelyn did not like eating in front of Ahriman. He made her nervous, especially because he would not enjoy the food with her. He did not need the sustenance; she felt as though lunch was an excuse for him to look over her. Carefully she reached for a small berry, which she put into her mouth before taking a sip of wine.
Llwelyn could feel his troubles drift away as he relaxed in his throne-like chair at the head of the table. She sat directly to his right. “Troublesome, your Lordship, that you had to adjourn our meeting so abruptly. I was so looking forward to it…” Her voice was smooth, but somehow sharp and impatient. She was the only one who got away with speaking to Ahriman, their ruler, in such a manner. “To think we lost the sixth seat to a matter concerning Drakes…it’s disheartening.” Her green eyes glinted towards him as she drank another sip of wine before eating another small berry.
She brushed some hair behind her ear and erected her pose. “No matter, I suppose. He shall be replaced.” A small sarcastic sneer came across her. “After all, there is no room for sadness. Not when the festival is so close.”
Ah, the festival. It was the celebration of the anniversary of Ahriman’s re-birth. It was a huge celebration, taking place outside the Temple of Mysto. There was dancing, singing, games, gallivanting—it was a beautiful representation of their culture, and a chance to find a lover. This year, Llewelyn wanted to participate, to dance, sing, perhaps even flirt, but it was outside the Temple.
She took a deep breath, expecting a fight that she could not win. “I…I would like to participate this year, your Lordship, if you would allow me.”

Iri picked himself up, pulling his tail from in between them and returning to his position in the sun. "Ah, I see, so the elf who is out to eliminate the human race starts with this lonesome child?" He flashed his teeth, a sign of amusement...or anger, depending on the situation. "It is but a wonderful day with few clouds in the sky and healthy winds." He extended his wings, all but blocking out the sun as he stretched them, beat them once (and buffeting the two with air) and folded them back at his side. He turned his head back to the human, golden eyes alight with amusement. "Ah, I have to admit, you held yourself together quite well for an obvious first surprise encounter of a drake. Quite courageous, if you ask me." He flicked his tongue out from his maw, tasting the fire within those around him: the trees, the animals, all were pinpricks of light to his senses. He rumbled in content as the warmth from the sun warmed his scales enough for him to finally feel it.

Vexrion blinked in surprise. "Human? My apologies then, I had assumed you an elf from being close in location to the General." He gave the human a bow before returning his gaze to the General. When the wind came to buffet him Vexrion raised a hand, making the current of air go around him rather than buffet him. "And it is an honor to finally meet you in person." He gave the General a bow as well.

"Elves. How typical." Romhild murmured distainfully, shooting daggers at her would-be attacker with her eyes so emerald green. A look of pure disgust found itself upon her fair features at the mere mention of the vile, self-indulgent monsters. When adressed by the dragon once more, she stood erect, very quick to wipe the angry look from her face. Although the creature seemed peaceful enough, she had absolutely no intentions of overstaying her welcome in regards to the mighty beast. "Thank you very much." She could not help but feel shocked that she hadn't stuttered this time around. Her attitude was far less respectful for the elf. "An elf admitting his wrong-doings? That's a first."

"A human ungrateful for meeting probably the only elf on their side. That's a... no wait most humans DO hate me." He smiled. He couldn't help but be nice to her: She was human AND he could tell there was something else... affinity? He was just so naturally attracted to fire affinities. Which was one reason he was so particularly nice to the General nearby, knowing he was the Fire General. "So would you mind telling me what it is a human is doing so far from any normal location for one?" He didn't have an edge to his voice, just a curious tone.

Ahriman observed her smallest movements while sitting there, though his silvery face did not particularly express any such intent, or anything at all for that matter. He stayed still, his hands motionless on his lap. He was considering a good time to bring up conversation, one that would disturb her eating, but then she spoke up.

"Yes, Meinhar's passing is particularly bad timing." Ahriman agreed about the loss of the 6th seat. "The Drakes... Yes, I may have to meet with General Irilentath again." Especially about the actual thought-to-be murderers of the High Councillor. It would not be bad to get an update on the terms of their peace treaty either. There still needed to be a plan made for the involvement of Drakes within common Arcanisan society.
"I do believe his heir has already been decided. We will meet the individual for approval at the next meeting." Obviously they would have systems in place to replace significant members of the High Council if any were lost.

Ahriman was still quite keenly thinking about the matters involving the drakes and the council, when the female brought up the festival. It broke him out of his thoughts and he could remember the very tight schedule he had to keep on that day. 'Ah, yes.' He had nearly forgotten. What really struck him was her desire to be involved. It was obviously justified under her wish for adventure outside the Silver Hall, but in no way reasonable when it came to her protection. Ahriman stayed silent for a while as he thought about it.

"... It may possible to persuade the festival committee and the High Council to permit you stand by me during my speech to the festival goers." He spoke up thoughtfully. He did not even consider the possibility of her going into the actual festival grounds, among the lower classes, thinking it too unlikely for her to ask for that.
"The Council before have not even allowed you to take part in the float ride through the city, even if you were to stand beside me on the main festival float." That he remembered. He did not see the council being any more lenient this year, especially with the loss of the Sixth Seat and concerns for their safety.

Iri was, to say the least, quite amused."Hah, but then again, a drake did just prevent a fight without eating any of the combatants, so this day couldn't possibly be considered normal, now could it?" He flicked his tail and turned and eye towards the elf. "Bah, leave the honor at the door. Out here, in the wild, I am me. In the court, I am not but an imposing figure always looking for a fight." His voice was filled with humor, albeit a bit dark. "Besides, its not like an elf could just choose to join me on my flights. I have a habit of choosing my own company." He flashed his teeth again, his good mood getting better. "I am Irilentath the Golden"

Vexrion could not help but chuckle. "It has been many years since I've cared as to the court. Not since... well not since a long time ago. For the human anyways." He still smiled, not even having any sort of one as to make the words refer to the human as an insult or joke. Complete and utter respect for them both. "If it is not too much to ask, may I know what to call you General? I am Vexrion Hyraldn."

Llewelyn bit her lip and looked away, her hand clenching the wine glass. “S-stand with you…?” Is that what he considered participating? Standing like a marble statue next to him? Llewelyn frowned deeply, shaking her head and silently folding her hands in her lap. Standing there was not even a guarantee. It was just a possibility.
“With all do respect, my lordship, the festival is full of elves. Our people,“ her voice was breaking slightly as she attempted not to allow any emotion to leak into her words. “Therefore, if I was to ever venture out, I believe this event would be the event most appropriate. There is no chance of injury or corruption. Thus,” she cleared her throat, lowering her eyes further. “Thus, I request to partake in the festival without accompaniment.”
Never before had she requested something so rash. When she was new to the council, she did often ask for some time in the courtyard, but that was the extent. Now, as time had gone on, and that she was getting more anxious to go outside, she felt it important to ask. Fiftey-four years indoors…she needed to have some freedom.
“I believe I have proved myself worthy of such a reward, sire.” She added quietly. “I have proven my loyalty, my…resilience, my devotion have I not?”
