As Anzshela stood their on guard, she began to notice a crow nicking its own feathers? And heard a echo from the surrounding trees. She then saw a boy appear out of the branches, as the crow landed upon his shoulder. While staring at him, she listened as he explained why she was here. Anzshela only showed a bit and then sheathed her blade. For some reason, she didn't need to fight. "I was following a horse, from the looks of it, a person was carrying of a lifeless body, so I wanted to investigate. Before that, I was with my companion Kevin, we stopped and made a campsite just close to town."

Keori led the horse through the woods, maneuvering as fast as she could over the fallen logs and bushes. She was careful to make sure that the kid wasn't slipping off at any point. Whenever they had to jump, she would often put an arm around his waist just to make sure he wouldn't fall. After sometime, the three of them broke through the last of the trees, and found themselves in a large field. With it's rows of tall grass, with paths moving in straight lines through the crop, Keori guessed it was some farmer's field. She slowed the horse to a walk, giving it a break for a while so that it would have energy if needed again. Looking down, she could see the boy trying to look at her, study her. "So kid...I'm not taking you away from any family am I? Judging by your clothes, I'm guessing your an orphan....yes?" She asked, trying to make her questions something he could nod or shake his head too as he seemed too shy to talk. After a few more moments of silence, she spoke again, feeling like she should at least attempt to explain why she was being chased. "And sorry...about earlier. Those guards...they're after me because of my family. We didn't do anything wrong....we just own something that someone really powerful wants. Do you understand?"

The horse was quickly picking up speed, and running through the woods. The person handled it extremely well and, while a little scared of the ride, Nile enjoyed it. It was a very thrilling experience and he felt ever safer whenever the person held onto him. The plant life and trees passed by swiftly until they began, very noticeably, diminishing. Then, as if through a doorway, landed on the edge of a field. The horse slowed and Nile realized an ache on his legs from sitting on the animal through that experience. He was certainly not used to it. His gaze had gone around to many things during that, but he returned to look at the lady.
Just when he wanted to know more, she spoke. Nile's eyes widened and he listened curiously, though not saying anything in response. The mention of family was a little hard hitting. Uncle, father, friend...? Nile was not sure how to consider the person that had raised him. Nile looked down, his dark eyes searching for answer's in nothingness. He was displeased to admit to himself how little he could remember of his childhood and of his care taker. For the boy, more than anything, simply forgetting helped him cope with his personal situation.
Letting the first question go unanswered as he dwelt in his thoughts, Nile did look back up when the second one came. Chased for doing what now, with who...? Understand ...No, not really. Nile stared with a few blinks of his big eyes before just nodding in reply. They were safe now anyway, right? Safe with her. Whoever those guys were could surely could not catch up?
Nile turned his gaze down slowly and looked around them. A field. He had seen fields before, probably this same field. Nothing yummy ever grew there as far as he was concerned and as such had quickly abandoned any interest in it. But beyond the field, what could be there? Nile gaze past the horse's head into the distance. The world was open before him. Maybe they would find some nice bread, the soft, brown kind! The hard, green bits in food never really tasted good and made his tummy ache. Why did people have that anyway?

Philip just couldn’t listen to him, he couldn’t. Trusting people would get him into trouble, if he had trusted people he was sure he would have ended up in Trantaus’ prison a long time ago and possibly even dead. He stopped however when he heard the oncoming footsteps. He knew exactly what he was going to do. When the boy was much closer, Philip turned and aimed a punch at him. He wasn’t even aware if he had hit or not, only that he was angry. So very angry with this person. “I am not an Ahto child and I would rather you don’t associate me with those low life scums of the earth. They deserve to be disposed of like their parents. I heard in the village over that one of them was dead, Philip I believe his name was,” this was not a lie; the village had been spreading rumours that they had seen his dead body floating in a nearby river. “I’m just a passing by traveller. If you do not leave me be, the next village I come across I will report I have seen an Ahto child and hand you in to Trantaus myself. I follow our leader loyally. Why would an Ahto child even dare to go and see the man himself?” he spat into the ground. “Go and be hero elsewhere. I give you food and somewhere to rest. I feed your horse and you tell me I’m an Ahto child? The son of that lowlife family! My parents are of much higher status and their name is not Ahto. My family name is Sato. Now leave before I turn you in!”

((Philip tried to punch Scott, then to protect himself, told Scott that he wasn't a member of the Ahto family and in fact Philip is floating in a river somewhere. He's telling Scott to leave him alone or Philip will 'report' him to Trantaus.
Even shorter - ' Long story short, Phil is lying out of his a**' quote greendragonfly52 xd ))

((It seems to me... That for some reason Scott knew there was an Ahto in trouble somewhere? And then he called Philip an Ahto. Now, I think the first page mentioned something.. err... lets see.. Oh right, 'Kill all the Ahto people'. I think Philip is scared out of his life that someone supposedly knows he's one of those folk, and naturally just running from them. It's not like Philip could simply know Scott is that Scott.))

When she asked about his family, Keori could see that she struck a chord with Nile. "I'm sorry kid. But if it makes you feel better, I'm an orphan too. My real parents died a long time ago. So we can be orphans together yes?" She asked with a smile. "It's always good to have someone with you in this world." Maybe sticking with the kid would help her forget her present. Being chased from what was her home for the last ten years, having to leave her foster parents. Would she even get to see them again? Would they be okay? She preyed that no one would link her back to them, and put them in danger. They were good to her these past ten years, treating her like their own daughter.
Keori was starting to find that Nile's lack of talking was making communication with him a tad difficult. His nod, she could only assume, was for her question if he understood what she told him about the people chasing her. He didn't seen quite sure, but he nodded at least. With the horse they moved through the wheat field, past a barn, and onto a dirt road. They were near a fork with three ways to go. One was back to the sea side town they just left. The other two led to the nearby hills, and the other into a large city. "So what do you say kid, mountains or the city?"

Scott jumps at Philip to grab him. "I may be blind, but I know when your my brother! I'm Scott!" He could see how Philip was cautious, with all of the scum looking for anything Ahto. He could react before Phil;ip, which made the grabbing easier. He made to bend his brother's arm back. "And don't call us lowlife!"
