Shiro sighed, the question being in the mind figuring it'd be the most obvious one "Yes, Team rocket is the enemy, however they are probably not going to be able to mount much of anything for now with their labs destroyed, and the rest of the Unown, your bretheren, are currently out of action due to being set free after being told to re-create a few Legendary Pokemon using their power." he sighed lightly "right now the main thing is to focus on recovering from the ordeals, so we can be strong enough to help look for your bretheren." he smiled a bit, showing that he was not a bad guy, and was worried about the other Unown out there that had been used by Team Rocket and all. of course, with that he also split his conciousness a bit so he could wake up himself.

Shiro had opened up a bleary eye as he heard the blistering Lecture being given by Yellow's Pikachu as he sat up, Raiden jumping onto the bed "Shiro! is everything okay now?" Shiro chuckled, and patted Raiden on the head "yeah.. the unown are calming down now, so things should go well." he then looked to the others, before sweatdropping "... do i want to know why ketchup is involved in Pikachu's lecture over there?" he asked innocently enough.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 31, 2012 7:07 pm
As Shiro broke himself out of his trance the Unown glyphs that covered his body became stationary giving them the appearance of ordinary tattoos. If he were to return to his mindscape he would find that there also the Unown had become silent and unmoving, essentially having become grafted into the walls of Shiro's own subconscious much like how they had remained dormant within the walls of the Ruins of Alph until humans had disturbed their centuries long slumber.

"The little ones were playing with a bottle of Ketchup and things got a little out of hand," Dash stated simply. Crystal's Espeon did not elaborate on the fact that it had been Raiden who had given the two Pichu the idea to bring out the bottle of Ketchup in the first place.

"So, are you feeling any better now Shiro?" Yellow asked noticing that the markings on his body had more or less ceased spasming uncontrollably.

Shiro sat up lightly feeling things had settled down and become basically looking like Ordinary Tattoos instead of glowing erratically and all as he nodded a bit, smiling, testing himself, he twisted his upper body a bit, then moved his arms "definitely better.. no more pain at least." he said, smiling as he looked to Yellow, while looking to Dash hearing the explanation, and sighed, having a pretty good idea why "Raiden... Stay out of my Peanut Butter!" he called out, causing the Pikachu to flinch and looked over to see Shiro after he finished cleaning up from the Petchup bath of the Pichu's and all "Drat.. busted!" eh mumbled to himself, while Shiro narrowed his eyes "darn straight you're busted! at least ask before you take my peanut butter!" of course he sighed, shaking his head and reaching up to rub his temples "geez.. need to get Raiden out of that fixation with Peanut butter..."

"I guess if the tough guy is awake, then there's no reason for you to hold me up anymore," Gold immediately sprang onto his feet and pushed past Silver to stroll leisurely into the other room, arms folded behind his head, grinning widely at Shiro. "It's good to see that you aren't looking half dead anymore, but don't expect me to go easy on you once we start training together."

"Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself?" Silver groaned and smacked a palm to his forehead. "The guy hasn't even made it out of bed yet."

"Good point," Gold considered it. "He's probably gonna want to take a shower first."

Silver sweatdropped hard. "That's not what I meant."

"He might have a point though," noted Yellow. "There's no guarantee that my powers will be able to heal him even now that the Unown have settled down so we might have to come up with an alternative. And what Gold just said reminded me about those powerfully therapeutic healing hot springs that are supposed to be up on the mountain somewhere."

Snowy paused in his preening long enough to say, "And if there really are hot springs here on the mountain, then Crystal would already know where to find them." Of course, Shiro was still the only one present who would actually be able to understand him. And once he'd finished with making that statement, the albino Eevee went straight back to preening to try to get the rest of the Ketchup off of him.

Crystal, meanwhile, had finally succeeded at gathering up the rest of her pokemon to put them back into PC storage and was making her way back toward the cabin to regroup with everyone.

Shiro of course looked at Gold's ranting hearing about training, and now just sweatdropped even harder ~yeesh.. can't this guy ever get over that battle lust?~ he thought to himself while shaking his head before continuing to listen to the conversation, speaking up hearing Snowy "you have a point Snowy.. knowing Crystal, she's probably already found the springs once given i know how easily she tends to find hotsprings just about -anywhere-." he pondered, chucklign a bit "and probably an easy way short of merely teleporting there." he said while sighing as he looked to GOld "i'll be sure to remember that you're a sadistic taskmaster once i'm able to actively start training my pokemon again." he said with a flat emotionless face, causing even Raiden to sweatdrop "gee, Sarcasm much, Shiro?" Shiro of course glanced to Raiden with a raised eyebrow "i don't know what you're talking about Peanut butter thief." of course, this got a 'Shiiiro quit being mean about the peanut butter, it is holy and should not be let go to waste!' from Raiden as he ranted in the background about how good peanut butter is, causing a major sweatdrop from Shiro.

"Don't be like that," Gold wasn't about to be swayed by Shiro. "It'll be fun."

Silver rolled his eyes. "Just ignore him. That's what I do. Besides, he's only being like this because Crystal refuses to teach him her strategy for bringing down legendary pokemon like Rayquaza."

"It's not like that's the only reason for me wanting to help out," Gold piped in. "I was there when she dragged his a** out of the Ruins of Alph and I really just can't stand to see any self respecting pokemon trainer looking so pathetic so I'm not going to rest until this slacker is at least competent enough to defend himself against Team Rocket."

"Says the same moron who nearly got himself killed at least a dozen times trying to stalk me all across Johto," Silver shook his head. "Do you honestly expect that anyone would want you for a mentor?"

"Hey," Gold protested. "Show a little respect. Don't forget, I even trained with the Champion, Red, himself. I'm plenty qualified to teach Shiro a few tricks to keep him alive."

"Shiro already has more than enough experience at being a reckless idiot," Crystal stated simply as she entered the room. "What he really needs to do is not let his guard down when he has so many rare and desirable pokemon on hand and an impressive track record for getting into trouble with villainous characters all across the map. So yeah, we're going to have to drill some serious battle strategy into that thick head of his for when his instincts backfire on him."

"It sounds like you know that from experience," noted Silver.

"Let's just say that I've been dragged into my share of troublesome scrapes tagging along with Shiro," Crystal shrugged. "But, I think we can all see that he gets into worse trouble on his own."

"Speaking of trouble," Snowy chimed in. "You should really do something about those outrageous little Pichu brats."

Crystal quirked a brow and glanced down at Snowy who immediately went back to preening the Ketchup from his fur, then at the two Pichu that were cowering away from Yellow's Pikachu looking extremely guilty. She could only sweatdrop at the sight of them. "It looks like there's been some mischief going on around here while I've been out of the cabin."

Shiro just deadpanned at Gold, having to silently agree with Silver in this case while scratching the back of his head lightly "normally i can handle myself in this case." he said, of course when he heard the quip from crystal he sweatdropped harder "but but.. Shiro was a good boy in the other regions, honest!" of course Raiden face-palmed at his trainer's third person antics "aaand here he goes with -that- again..." he said with a shake of his head.

Shiro just looked to Raiden with a betrayed look on his face "that's it! no peanut butter for you for a week!" of course, after making Raiden faint from a near heart attack he chuckled a bit, sighing "i have to admit i do have a pretty -crappy- track record when it comes to Team Rocket.." he grumbled a bit "wasn't my fault they first targeted me because of Raiden..." of course, Raiden quipped again, despite the current grounding from his nectar "true, but after that you literally threw yourself into head on fights with them whenever you found their operations at work." of course, Shiro blushed in embarrassment "Raaaaiiiidddeeeeennn~!"

"Shiro, you know what your problem is, don't you?" Crystal spoke up again to interrupt Shiro's bickering with Raiden. "You rarely spend time with people, let alone engage in pokemon battles with other trainers. That's why you have such a tough time handling Team Rocket on your own. Pokemon raised by humans, even in an organization as underhanded and pathetic as Team Rocket, are way different from their wild counterparts. You can't just befriend them and persuade them to back down because they're really giving it everything they've got for the sake of their trainer. And the pokemon trained by the likes of Team Rocket are probably conditioned not to have any sympathy for their victims."

"Those are some very strong insights, but if memory serves your social skills aren't any better than Shiro's," noted Silver.

"I might be a little awkward with people," Crystal admitted. "But that hasn't stopped me from exploring different regions, battling gym leaders, and taking on the challenges of specialized battling facilities. The fact is, you can't just charge into a match without thinking. Even against a pokemon you've never seen before you've got to be able to quickly deduce its possible attributes to figure out its weakness. And I'm really not too sure about how much Shiro has actually been practicing that."

"Wow Crystal, you sound like you really know a lot," Yellow spoke with admiration.

"I know enough to get by," Crystal replied dismissively.

"Speaking of which, you never did tell me how you managed to bring down those two Rayquaza at once," Gold casually draped an arm around Crystal so she wouldn't be able to brush him off so easily. Or so he thought. In the next instant Crystal had grabbed hold of his arm and flipped him down onto his back sprawled out on the floor of the cabin.

"I already told you it was Suicune," Crystal stated simply as she let go of Gold's arm and took a step back. "But I can tell you this much--even the legendary pokemon have weaknesses."

Shiro had stopped arguing with his Pikachu for a moment as he raised an eyebrow, wondering about that, given he -did- go through the leagues too, he just spent more time out in the wilderness in-between beating gyms because he liked nature and Pokemon more than humans as he sighed "you're probably right there, Crystal, i usually stay out in the wild more often than i stay in town, mainly because it's more peaceful to me than others. even if i did win the Gym badges and all, i never stayed long in the city because i get a bit.. well.. claustrophobic, really, and i also admit my people skills probably stink worse than a socially inept from a young age kid who's an outcast in his own city or something." he said, while pondering "as for charging head on into a battle.. i only do that when i have no choice, like during fights with Team Rocket." he sighed "i've actually done well outside of my horrible track record with them."

Raiden also added in in his own two cents "not to mention he runs me and the others into the ground training in the wilds, learning new moves, and other things." he said with a wise nod "but i do agree, he does need help to fight trainers like Team Rocket, and some of the more depraved organizations that usually go after him, as you said.. their pokemon are totally different even from normal trainer's pokemon, and Gym Leaders."

Shiro sweatdropped at his partner, and just gave him a 'whose side are you on anyway?' look, only to get a smirk from the electric mouse, causing Shiro to groan and facepalm "should've known you'd abandon me like this..."
PostPosted: Tue Sep 11, 2012 10:11 am
"The main thing is that you've got to be able to adapt to any situation by using what's on hand," Crystal finished. "Team Rocket should have been disbanded, but here we are having to deal with some of those thugs anyway. There's really no reason to expect that they're going to fight fair. Of course, we probably won't have to worry too much about them since they're probably busy tracking down the legendary pokemon that were created using the Unown during our escape."

"By the way, we were wondering if you might know the way to the healing hot springs that are supposed to be here on the mountain somewhere," Yellow spoke up again.

"Well yeah," Crystal scratched behind her ear. "Of course I know where to find the hot springs. I mean, it can be a pretty dangerous hike to reach them from the foot of the mountain, but if we fly to the summit and make our way down we can reach them in practically no time since there aren't nearly as many wild pokemon that close to summit."

"I wish we'd have known that when Red risked his life trying to find them," noted Yellow.

"Don't sweat it," Gold finally picked himself up off the floor. "I doubt he would have bothered to take the safe route even if he had known about it."

"But I guess dragging Shiro up there will be the fastest way to get him back into shape so we can get started on his training," added Crystal.

Shiro nodded lightly, while Raiden pretty much had enough arguing and instead hopped onto Shiro's left shoulder, smiling a bit in general at being in his favorite spot while the trainer spoke "dragging huh? well, as long as it's not literal dragging i guess i'm okay with it." he said, chuckling a bit while Raiden just patted shiro's head a bit "there there... you'll be able to move on your own power eventually!"

Shiro just glared at Raiden while sighing, shaking his head" i feel so damned helpless..." he said, looking down, mainly because it was his fault Team Rocket got to him and his pokemon -again-, not to mention he can't do anything to help the others until he could get back able to move and back in shape as well physically.

Once Gold and Crystal had both deposited their respective Pichu into PC storage and Crystal had gotten her team in order for the journey. Fluffy and Snowy were a given, but she had swapped out Denryu to bring Dash along and had deposited Diablos in exchange for her Salamence, affectionately and appropriately nicknamed Bahamut. Taki the Floatzel and Razor the Excadrill were also still present and accounted for. After that it was a simple matter to get Shiro's belongings gathered together so that he could be dragged along for the trip. Of course, the actual dragging was very subjective as it more literally involved levitating him outside using Dash's Telekinesis whereupon Crystal sent out Bahamut and had Dash kindly lower Shiro onto the aforementioned dragon's back where she could keep an eye on him. This was done mainly because she didn't want to let Shiro try to fly by himself on his Skarmory in his condition and because Bahamut was generally a safer flier than Fluffy with significantly more backspace besides.

Crystal didn't have to concern herself with the others because they all had their own means of flying. Yellow had her Butterfree. Gold had his Togekiss. Silver had his Honchcrow. Fun fact: Butterfree cannot learn Fly as an HM move in ANY generation. Yellow's must be special.

Suffice to say, no amount of griping or complaining was going to prevent Shiro from being escorted to the healing hot springs. The only one he might have been able to convince into leaving was Silver and Gold would just figure some way to drag him along anyway. Crystal certainly wouldn't put it past him.

Shiro of course didn't complain much from the treatment, though he did pout at being babied and all. of course, when he was put on Crystal's Salamence he'd move as best he could to at least get into a full sitting position sighing a bit muttering about things like 'not a baby damnit..' and other incoherencies of being able to handle a bit of roughness. he had his pack on his back again at least for one thing, and Raiden was sitting on his lap at least since he didn't want to go back in his pokeball for now, and wanted to fly again at least. "i understand caution and the likes with me, but just so we know... i feel like i'm being babied, and if there's any such comments from any of you all when i get better i will find a way to get revenge!" he said, shaking his fist mostly at Gold in particular.

Raiden rolled his eyes lightly "oh suck it up Shiro, at least you're -alive-, and not a quivering pile of flesh or something from Team Rocket's experiments." this of course got Shiro off his rants, blushing in embarrassment, and oddly quieted down and looked a bit more compliant.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 06, 2012 12:22 pm
"Regardless of how you might feel about it, we really aren't babying you," Crystal rolled her eyes at Shiro's persistent whining. "We're trying to get you well again as soon as possible, otherwise you'd just be confined at the cabin for plenty of bed rest and I'm sure you'd feel even worse about that. Truthfully you shouldn't even be outside right now."

"That's the whole reason why Professor Oak called us in for backup," added Silver. "This is the most dangerous area in all of Kanto and Johto so Crystal wasn't going to risk dragging you up the mountain by herself."

"Face it Shiro, we're tagging along as your bodyguards," chimed in Gold. "You should really be thanking us."

"And if he decides to punch you once he gets his strength back, that's going to be your own damn problem," Crystal warned him.

Shortly thereafter they arrived at the summit where they landed carefully and recalled all of their flying pokemon. Dash resumed his job of levitating Shiro along with the rest of them as they started to hike down toward the location of the healing hot springs.

Shiro was just glowering at Gold, apparently thinking of doing just that: decking him the moment he got able to stand and move on his own. either way Shiro was quiet mostly through the trip anyway in general up the mountain, once he was being levitated by Dash again he just looked around and merely watched the area in general, crossing his arms somewhat while twitching an eyebrow.

Raiden of course just patted Shiro a bit on the arm while staying in his lap as well, chuckling in his own way while looking somewhat serious, just in case he needed to help fight as well and all.
