[OPEN CLASS] Don't I Get A Wish for This? (Belladonna) PASS!

It was getting down to the wire and Belladonna knew it. She threw out another card before the next attack brought her to the ground. A cry ripped from her throat, but she fixed the monster with one last glaze.

"I'm not giving up." Was all she said as she tentatively raised her hands for the next attack.

HP: 8
Damage: 7+1= 8
Boss HP: 7

She was so close. She jack-damn close.
And she had to go and just not put enough effort in.
All she needed was just a little bit more.
But it wasn't enough.

HP: 3
Damage: 5+1= 6
Boss HP: 1

Belladonna didn't even bother attacking. It wouldn't be enough. So instead she just let the monster hit her one last time and blacked out.

But she would be back.
She'd repeat this cycle as many times as necessary.
But... With each repeat, weren't things supposed to get easier?

Damage: DOESN'T MATTER
Boss HP: BALJRMNJKBGO!!!

Fourth verse, same as the first?
Eh, maybe not, but Belladonna had gotten used to all this by now.
As of now, it was just about passing the class. She was determined and guarded, but she still just wanted to be done. She wanted to learn this skill set and move on to other class.
She wanted to feel accomplished.

HP: 37
Damage: 12+1= 13
Wave 1: CLEAR!

The second wave was stronger and her attack not as strong as the first, but still more than enough to swat them away. Already the witch was feeling better about this round, but she knew to get ahead of herself would spell her doom...

HP: 34
Damage: 9+1= 10
Wave 2: CLEAR

Had the previous attempts worn her out? With each new swipe Belladonna could feel herself growing just a little more tired. But she wouldn't give up... Not yet at least!

HP: 31
Damage: 8+1= 9
Wave 3: CLEAR

Yet just as Belladonna was about to wonder over her ability to continue, she noticed the creatures starting to thin. With a deep breath she tossed out more cards and felt her strength returning.
She might just make it this time.

HP: 28
Damage: 9+1= 10
Wave 4: CLEAR

"Alright, finally getting somewhere!" The witch told herself as she sliced and diced one last wave with her cards.
Once again, like always, the boss stood before her. It waited, its faceless head emotionless as it stood there. And even though it didn't have eyes, she knew it was looking directly at her.

HP: 25
Damage: 10+1= 11
Wave 5: CLEAR

It was a difficult not to just brazenly rush forward into battle, but Belladonna managed to stay still. She took even breaths to slow her racing heart as the familiar moon bloomed overhead and healed her so by the time that she had gained a measure of control, she had reached a full heal.

"Oh Blessed Hecate, aid me in this battle." The witch said before she summoned her cards around her in a circle and slowly advanced toward the enemy.

When Belladonna charged, the terror of loosing struck her heart and for a moment she faltered. She still managed to toss out some cards, but they weren't as powerful as she had wanted.
Best to just banish the fear and keep fighting. Just harder.

HP: 35
Damage: 5+1= 6
Boss HP: 44

Yet try as she might, the terror would not subside. Such fear resulted in paltry attacks that did nothing and made the creature hardly move at all. It still attacked her and she was getting so weak...

It was just no use. No matter how hard she tried, no matter how hard she threw her cards, Belladonna just couldn't shake the fear of loosing.
If she kept it up, she would/ lose.

HP: 25
Damage: 6+1= 7
Boss HP: 34

But what was loosing? Just another failure, that's all. No big deal.

By this point, Belladonna was hardly trying. In any other circumstance she would be ashamed of herself, but she was just too tired.

Boss HP: 33

Somewhere deep inside the witch, she wanted to try and maybe that was why she struck a little harder. Maybe she knew the monster was slowly wearing down and if she could just blitz it, the battle would be over.
But did she have that sort of conviction within herself?

Damage: 3+1= 4
Boss HP: 29

The witch tried. She really did.
But she knew it would no longer be enough. Once again, she was doomed to repeat this cycle.
