I need the darkness, the sweetness, the sadness, the weakness, I need this. I need a lullaby, a kiss goodnight. The angel sweet love of my life. Oh, I need this. Well, is it dark enough? Can you see me? Do you want me? Can you reach me? Or I'm leaving. Walking back the way towards the gym, Meghan stuffed her hands in her pockets, eyes focused straight ahead as she just wandered around the school. What else could she do? The only safe exit was blocked by Jethro and his friend, going any other way would be a bad idea because of the cameras. She let out a sigh, realizing that eventually she would have to head back that way or go to gym. She actually would rather deal with gym than Jethro, which was a bit messed up really. I didn't know you were a fake. Every lie straight to my face. So blind I could not see, right behind my back you stabbed me. I should have known you were a b***h! Shut up, you're makin me sick. Little man you're nothing like me, lying, cheating, so deceiving. I trusted you, broke me down and you screwed me over. Don't try to deny it, you cannot hide it, I'll be ignited when I get to watch you, Burn! Burn! Burn!

Maerie—after a long, relaxing freak-out in a secluded place, and found Meghan again. He grabbed her lightly. "Meg... hey, can you please just hug me or something? Just a little hug? Just something to make me happy? Please?" He couldn't help the pleading. He tried to focus on her and not the blurry lights behind her head.

Jethro walked out of the bathroom, still looking really beat up. He held his head down and trudged to the gym. He gave a quick explanation why he was late, and made the excuse that he'd fallen down on the steps before school for his face. He sat in the corner, having been excused from exercise because of his head, listening to Rob Zombie and having his hood up.

Can you see me? Do you want me? Can you reach me? Or I'm leaving. 'Oh for Pete's sake!' Meghan broke out of the boy's hold, taking a step back, her eyes narrowing. "Listen dude," the brunette started after taking a deep breath, not wanting to blow up or anything like that. "Stop acting like we're buddies or whatever. I don't know you! And you certainly don't know me. So, just stop it!" Her tone was serious and she spoke through gritted teeth, fed up with people bothering her. With that said, she turned on her heel getting ready to stalk off to the gym. I didn't know you were a fake. Every lie straight to my face. So blind I could not see, right behind my back you stabbed me. I should have known you were a b***h! Shut up, you're makin me sick. Little man you're nothing like me, lying, cheating, so deceiving. "But—" Maerie restrained himself, and then he sighed. "Okay. Can we start over, then? Because I'm a new person now, anyways." I know the truth about what I see. He tried not to let it show on his face as lights crystallized into a familiar form. He got treatment for paranoid schizophrenia, but he'd never said anything about the visions. The demon behind Meghan wrapped its hands around her neck and made a twisting motion, and despite the knowledge that it couldn't hurt anyone, Maerie made a soft noise of alarm and then he breathed deeply for a few seconds before whispering, "Please say we can start over."

The punk-looking girl entered the gym, smiling a content smile like life was good. The gym teacher sighed and asked why she was late. "I got lost, sorry!" she grinned in a leisurely tone. The teacher raised an eyebrow, but told her to go join the class. Alexia Jayy then spotted Jethro and skipped up to him. "Hey, Jethro!" she purred, sitting beside the male, "What's up?"

She looked them over, trying to figure out exactly what he was up to trying to be friendly with her, being a new person in town and all. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment before she opened them again, trying to remain calm. "Start over?" She questioned, shaking her head. "There really isn't a point. We won't be friends even we do that. I don't have friends anymore. Actually, I never did! With that said, she started marching away, not happy that those liars had entered her mind again. Especially since she was heading to one of the classes she had with one of them. I didn't know you were a fake. Every lie straight to my face. Maerie caught up with Meghan in a few long strides and grabbed her arm. "Look, we were friends, I swear. And I didn't mean to leave, but... things... came up, and I had to. Please, can we just sit somewhere and talk? I don't have anywhere to be. Dropped out of school." Easier to admit than the truth, that he'd taken the GED while he was getting treated for being crazy. "We could just go somewhere and talk through this. Please?" His eyes kept darting between Meghan and the terrible form that laid just beyond the edge of consciousness, stroking her throat with steel claws. He knew if he could get her away from the school, she'd be safe. This demon only stayed in the school. There were others that appeared to him elsewhere, but this one stayed in one location.

Can you see me? Do you want me? Can you reach me? Or I'm leaving. For a moment, the indifferent, hard exterior Meghan has been wearing for the past month fell as confusion crossed her face. And in that moment the old her could be seen, but she quickly covered it up. "What in the world are you talking about?!" She said, attempting to keep her voice from going shrilly. "I just met you this morning! Why are you insisting that we were friends... before..." Her question faded as she realized what he had just said. 'I didn't mean to leave,' "No..." she whispered more to herself than him, staring at him with a blank face. I didn't know you were a fake. Every lie straight to my face. Jethro didn't hear her. He had a notebook out, and his neat handwriting was scrawled all over the page. There were drawing of skulls and broken hearts, knives and people. Everything was done in a thick, black ink, which made since because he was writing in it. His hoodie was pulled over his eyes, and his glasses were off. It looked like there were tear stains on his face.

Jethro looked up. He rubbed his eyes and muttered, "Nothing. I'm fine." He sighed and closed his notebook. "What took you so long?" he asked, putting on a smile and putting the notebook into his bookbag. He didn't want Alexia Jayy to realize how much the words cut...How much he'd changed while she was gone...

Jethro smiled too. "Well, make sure you don't do it again. The teachers here hate it," he said. He stayed sitting in his corner for a while, messing with his iPod. "Did you find new friends in your new town?" he asked after a while. "Any romatical interests?" He cracked a genuine smile now, using their old term for relationships.
