Only seeing a faint silhouette through the water, Ms. Chestnut would tuck herself into as she began to roll into a front flip, extending her body out with her rapier slicing down from over head, using the momentum to her advantage to slice into her opponent as the water started to clear into a fine mist for a surprising maneuver.

Having expected impact, there came a roar that seemed to make the whole village shake. Jun had no idea what was going on, but at least it seemed to have scared off that random shinobi. Jun would stand up, wet as a drowned rat and see someone come in with civilians before rushing off. She managed to call one aside and hear that the Kyuubi nine tails was released... wait, wasn't that a powerful demon? Groaning softly, she took a seat and watch more civilians rush in. She supposed that she would have to do something about this to help out... after a break and she dried off.

Miyuki was on her way to the Academy to train when suddenly she heard the roar of the nine tailed fox accompanied by the sight of black and red mist. Causing panic, she decided to retreat to the Hokage Monument where everyone was supposed to retreat in case of any dangers to the village and so forth, like the one that was going to take place any moment now. As she ascended up the stairs she began to hope that none of the innocent people would get hurt and that they would all make it to the monument on time. Making it to the safe area of the Hokage Monument she observed as terrified villagers made their way in. She decided not only to keep them calm but to move them further in to the caved area to simply make sure that nothing could harm them or cause anymore terror.
Noticing a onyx haired female who seemed to also be a Shinobi caught Miyuki's attention. Since she didn't quite know anyone here, she thought that maybe this female would perhaps like to start a conversation of some sort for the time being since they weren't necessarily going anywhere any time soon. "You look quite exhausted." Miyuki spoke to the female as she sat a few feet away from her. "I'm Miyuki, although you may call me Yuki. If it's fine with you, may I ask for your name?" Miyuki asked slightly worried about how this stranger would respond to her.
Kira has been lounging around lately, so much so that she had gotten quite bored. Though, that all changes when the Sensor side of her specialty rang out in her mind so loud her head began to throb. Clutching her head slightly, she would groan somewhat at the overwhelming feeling that engulfed her. This chakra, where was it coming from? And what in all the Nations was capable of holding such a tremendous amount of power?! As she let go of her head, she landed somewhat near the two females. "I wouldn't bother." Kira said as Miyuki asked Jun her name. "She's not really one of the more talkative bunch." With that, she would once more run off. Perhaps she couldn't leave the village (for she was a genin after all), but that didn't mean she couldn't provide support from the gates....

Looking around for her pack of smokes, Jun sighed softly seeing that they were soaked. Honestly, losing to that random shinobi had pissed her of a bit. It seemed she would have to step up her game so that next time, things wouldn't come out so half-assed and crappy for her. Putting the pack away in her pocket, she looked up upon hearing a voice. Konoha shinobi, no one she seemed to know, She had been about to answer when someone came along... some gray haired young shinobi that looked familiar, but she could not place a name to the face.
After she was gone, she said "My name is Jun... and I'm a little tired, yeah. What's the situation with... whatever the hell is going on in the village?" After getting her a** handed to her, she wasn't sure of how much help she could be, but there might be something that needed to be done.

Maylee fell in and out of what was happening. She would feel Masaru place her down. Her hand clenched his shirt as her lips formed the words, "My brothers". But then, he was gone. She placed a hand of her forehead as images seemed to blur together. Blacking out and everything sounding muffed; her breath unhinged a little as she tried to piece everything together. ...I want my brothers... She was afraid for the first time in years. Her brothers kept her strong, on the path they built. Maylee opened her eyes and held her other shoulder. It was dislocated. She placed her head back and gritted her teeth before shoving it back into its socket. She exhaled and rotated her shoulder making sure it was in place. Maylee still felt the black outs and the muffled noise. She would stay put. "Masaru...Samuru...Raku." Where the only names that broke through her vocal cords.

Arriving at the place where civilians were supposed to be evacuated, Jae patted her mother on the shoulder and left to go and speak to one of the shinobi's in charge. She needed to find out what was going on and how the village was being divided up. Apparently the Kyuubi, whatever it was called, was outside of Konohagakure but was close enough to where the village was in range. Jae's heart sank. It was apparently powerful enough to easily obliterate the whole village and then some. Running is moot... She thought to herself. Shinobi had been divided into three groups. Protecting the citizens, protecting the perimeter and a select few helping the Hokage out directly. Jae thanked the person who debriefed her properly and returned to her mother. "That bad?" Sae asked her daughter, taking note of the pink haired girls complexion. "I have to fight." Jae said, clenching her fists. They couldn't run. Even that was not safe. The whole village was cornered. Jae wanted to keep her mother safe, not follow protocol and responsibilities but she was needed to do just that. She was stuck in a hard place. Watching her daughter tense up Sae could only imagine what was going through that pink adorned head of hers. This was another scenario Sae was familiar with as well. "I didn't raise you to sit idly when others needed your help nor to be selfish and vain and think only of yourself. You are stronger than some of the people gathered here and it's your duty to protect them. That's what it means to be a shinobi." The bird sage looked up at her mother, her eyes glossed over somewhat from the tears that she stubbornly refused to shed. "I promised dad...I promised him I would take care of you no matter what." Her voice was low, only meant for her mothers ears. Sae scoffed aloud, pointing her nose in the air as she crossed her arms over her chest. "It's not your responsibility to take care of me nor do I need your help. I am more than capable of taking care of myself." Looking off to the side, Jae locked her jaws together, grinding her teeth to keep from snapping at her mother. She was being serious. "You wont understand this now Jae....but listen well. Mother's never stop protecting their children. We will fight with everything we have, even when our children surpass us in strength, wisdom and ability. That's the extent of our love, devotion and prowess. So when I tell you to go...it's probably taking a lot more for me to do than you telling me you want to remain here..."
Her mother was right. Jae had no idea what it was she was talking about. She could not relate but she choose to believe her at least the last part. "Do not irritate anyone." Jae warned her mother, grabbing onto both of her hands. "Promise me if things start to get bad you will get out of here." Jae said, her voice still low. Sae looked annoyed then, rolling her eyes. The intensity of Jae's gaze caused the older woman to sigh and nod curtly. Releasing her grip on her mother's hands Jae hugged her tightly. Sae wrapped her arms around her daughter and patted her on the head a few times before kissing her lightly on the top part of her head. "Be safe and raise hell." She muttered, letting go of her daughter, again.
Jae looked about the room and spotted a familiar figure. So she is here, where is Rakuin? Jae looked around, unable to see him. Turning her gaze she briefly met Samuru's. He was busy with his mother. Now would probably be the moment to leave. "Mom...do me a favor..." Jae whispered into her mother's ear and then crossed her arms behind her back. "I am not lying for you but I will keep an eye out if he allows it." Sae remarked. Jae had asked her mother to keep an eye out for Samuru's mother, is Samuru wasn't guarding her. With that Jae made a move to go to the bathroom. Once she was inside she slipped out of a narrow window. Dropping silently to the ground she tied her hair up and headed for the gates. Apparently those who could harness Fuuton were needed. Her ribs could hold out that long, she was sure of it.
Retribution...this is not my goal. No, I care not for soaking the world in violence. There has been enough of that.

Samuru quickly took his mother to the medic station, getting help to carry her to a chair. Kneeling, he rested a hand on her knee, watching as the nurse checked her over. It was true, all of what Sae had asked about She's been neglected... anger rushed up into his temples and he closed his eyes, his head drooping as he fought the well of self loathing. Samuru had been the one to take care of his mother, he'd always made sure she was healthy and cared for. Leaving her to others...a touch startled him and he looked up to see his mother gazing at him, her fingers on his cheekbone "Mom...?" he questioned but her hand fell down as the nurse returned. Standing, shaken, Samuru spotted Jae and their gaze met Geez. Like I can't read that. he scowled a bit then felt a rush of fear that wasn't his own. May? Looking around, he spotted her dark hair "Sae....please watch my mother." he called to her, not bothering to ask where Jae had gone. She'd go to the most active area and damn everyone else. He moved through the crowds, leaving their mother with several nurses as he got close enough to May to grab her arm and get her attention "Ma-" like electricity, an explosion of feelings and emotions rushed through the physical contact and he jerked his hand back, staring at her "What....what have you done?" it wasn't an accusation...but it was. He knew something was wrong, something had changed. All of it had, everything in May had shifted "What did you do?!" he snapped, his voice rising as a cold numbness floated over his limbs. She had changed....something had changed in her. Something emotional and physical had changed.

Maylee fought the pain that radiated through her relocated shoulder. The black outs that felt like a bad dream as people rushed around. The muffled cries and moans of those around her. If felt like the night her childhood came down in blistering flames ignited with the death of her father.
Her mind got away from her, but would be brought back to reality from the current that pulsed between her and another. It made her body tingle from the exposure. Maylee opened her eyes and stared at Samuru as he started the first two letters of her name. Though it was muffled. Though his stare, plus the current seemed to break the muffle sounds and push away the blackouts. Her blue orbs stared into Samaru's. They looked the same once more. His question caused her to press into the wall. As if he was making her uncomfortable. "Samuru, I..." Her breathing became unhinged again as her eyes grew in fear. She flinched when he snapped at her, his voice raised rapidly.
Maylee clinched her eyes shut as her hands balled into fists. "I...met...someone." She hesitated to tell him. She pressed further into the wall that supported her. "I...found happiness."

She found happiness....Samuru felt like ripping her throat out. He hadn't felt this kind of black rage in years, not since his father's death. His eyes went from blue to a stormy black/blue, his face going pale and his lips tightening. It wasn't that she'd found happiness that enraged it him....it was her staunch desire to deny him his only months before that was throwing fire on the flames. He stared at her...and then he walked away. He didn't want to hurt his sister...but right now that was what his mind was screaming at him to do. So he walked away.

As Samuru came over to her, Sae smiled briefly before she was asked suddenly to watch his mother. The very mother he had been clinging onto so dearly before. Her gaze followed him momentarily as he walked over to a young woman with dark hair, blue eyes and similar features. She didn't ponder it too long, doing what she was asked. Sae asked the nurses for various things that they would need to administer to the malnourished woman before them. Such a pitiful state this woman was in. Placing her hands on her hips she made a 'tch' noise. "Mrs. Sanmiitai. I am Sayuri Ketsueki. I will be looking out for you for the time being. Don't kick up a fuss and I will have you comfortable in no time." The younger nurses didn't know what to make of Sae, the older woman barking orders left and right. Carefully they set an I.V. line and drip into the frails woman's arm. It took them awhile due to her condition and collapsible veins. There were plenty of bags lined up that would administer the nutrients she was clearly lacking. As she was arranged more comfortably in a bed, Sae set to setting up the catheter and other tools. Keeping them minimal as to not weigh down the Sanmiitai, she finished up in record time. Looking to her crappily done ponytail she tch'd once more and undid it. Getting a small bowl she began to wash the dull hair and brush it out. It's going to take a lot to get her to something even remotely human looking but we can start here... Sae thought to herself, brushing in silence until Samuru's return.

Was she protecting Masaru from Samuru's wrath? Or was Samuru not giving her the time to explain that she was sorry for everything. Maylee finally understood what happiness Jae brought her brother. But...he won't give her the breath to explain. Abruptly, Samuru left. Leaving Maylee whirling in confuse and the pain of disappointment. Would she get the chance to explain?
Maylee stood and looked about the room. She walked around and found a nurse with her mother. "Mom?" She would step closer to her mother before the woman's eyes fell onto her. Maylee looked at the nurse. "Is she going to be okay?" She asked before kneeling next to her mother. Maylee stiffened when she felt a hand around hers. The young girl looked down at the flesh and bony fingers holding hers. She looked at her mom and gave a half smile before sitting next to her. "It's alright, mom. I'm too weak to fight for whatever is happening to the village." Maylee held her mother's hand. "I'm gonna stay with you." She whispered before falling quiet again and kept her eyes locked with her mother's.

Turning her head, Sae paused in her movements as the young woman in whom Samuru had left to speak to earlier had entered the small area the mother Sanmiitai inhabited currently. Her red eyes watched her silently as she approached, calling out 'mom'. So this was Samuru's sister? One of the two that Jae had mentioned once or twice before. "She is in very poor condition... but yes. So long as she receives adequate treatment she will be fine." Sae stood, stretching her arms above her head. Now Samuru had left as well. Please make sure Jae stays out of trouble... Sae thought to herself momentarily before looking to the young girl. "Here. This was brought with her." Sayuri reached over to a little baggie and produced the picture Samuru had asked her to initially retrieve from their apartment. Handing it to the girl she handed over the brush as well.
