Hedy and Ludwig stepped aside together, avoiding the chained weapon entirely. The black-skinned demon grabbed his mistress and hurled her out of harm's way, and turned with a snarl to face their enemy alone. Smoke and ash followed him in black clouds as he dashed toward Jiro, slashing with long talons.

The creature's claws dug into Jiro's chest, leaving long, ugly tears in his flesh and clothing. Blood blossomed across his clothing and pain ripped through his torso. Yet Jiro continued fighting. Without missing a moment, he grabbed his kusurigama by the handle and swung it upwards at the creature's exposed neck and jaw.

Ludwig rolled back, but was not fast enough to dodge the attack entirely. The blade drew out a line of caustic blood, which burned the stone of the arena as it fell. The Spielzeug gave a terrible roar, and spat a ball of fire into his opponent's face.

The ball of fire hit Jiro directly in the face. He cried out as the flames licked at his flesh, leaving it red and blistered; his hair was singed and crimped because of the heat.
With a growl of annoyance mingled with pain, he threw his kusarigama once more.

This time the man called Jiro dealt a fatal blow to Ludwig, spraying boiling blood in every direction. With a sigh, his mistress bade him to return, and condensed him into his core form, the wickedly serrated pitchfork. Hedy employed a variation of the Shinigami Shunpo, and closed in on her enemy, slinging the wide end of the weapon.

Jiro blocked the incoming attack with the chain of his weapon. He slashed once more with his kusarigama.

Hedy was too fast for this man; her training served her well. She called upon her fighting spirit's connection to hellfire and ash, and release an explosive blast of black, orange, and red flames fueled by Ludwig.

Jiro tried to dodge the flames, the burns on his face burning painfully as if to remind what would happen if he were to be hit. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't fast enough to get out of the way. Luckily, the blast only hit him in the shoulder, and though it burned through his clothing, it mercifully spared his skin.
Jiro swung his weapon over is head like a lasso, the blade of his kama making a eerie howling noise. He then rushed at his enemy, flourishing his kusarigama in an elaborate attack.

Hedy's sharp Bount's senses and reflexes guided her around and through the lines of attack, and the flailing weapon could do no damage to her. She stabbed forward with great strength, feeling the end of the match coming quickly.

Hedy's final attack sent Jiro flying. He tumbled through the air, bounced once, and then was still. Medics rushed into the arena to carry away the dying man.

The birdlike Youkai gave a screeching cry, his head bobbing almost comically. He burped up a lick of flame, and pecked at the ground impatiently, waiting for his next playmate. Basan had entered this contest for only one reason, and that was his boredom.

For a few moments after Basan entered the ring, nothing happened. His opponent was nowhere to be seen.
However after a few moments, the temperature in the arena dropped drastically, and those who could sense the terrifying aura shuddered, glancing around in a panicked manner.
At that moment, a dark shape flickered eerily into view in the arena. It appeared to be a woman; her dark hair floating and writhing about her body. She seemed to float above the ground and blood dripped regularly from under the folds of her clothing. Though her face was hidden behind a curtain of tangled locks, her exposed hands revealed her pale flesh. Skin hung in loose folds from her bones and blood was smeared down her arms. She raised one of her skeletal arms behind her head, letting loose the rest of her hair from a loose bun, then she was still. Waiting...

Basan gave a distressed croak, and ruffled his iron feathers, attempting to warm himself. He belched a modest burst of flame, and waited for the ref's hand to drop.
"Contestants ready? Fight!"

The referee had barely given the signal when Kamikiri's hair shot out before her, attempting to wrap around her opponent and suffocate him.

Basan squawked angrily, and flapped his massive wings once. The sound of thunder emanated from his powerful body, and he glided to safety. He struck back with a slashing motion of one wing, sending razor-sharp feathers whistling toward her at indiscernible speed.
