"That's sweet of you to offer, but I'm afraid I must decline. For you see," Briar paused, taking a moment to contemplate which lie she wanted to use this time around. It wasn't long until she decided to just use the easiest and most plausible, in her oppinion. (She'd learned quickly that just saying 'no' and leaving it at that didn't work with most people in these parts. Back home, aside from one glaring example, most were never quite so pushy with their advances.) "I've taken a vow of chastity." Of course, this was total bullshit. Just in case anyone tried anything, though, she almost always wore a chastity belt beneath her dresses and gear just to be safe. "As for a healer, that's a service I'd really find useful in my trade. I came here to find work or a small quest of some sort, as I happen to be an adventurer myself. If you happen to be around when I actually have the coin, I'll consider hiring you if that's what you really want."

Kasumi considered the woman, then pulled the hood of her nice cloak over her head. "Okay. Deal. But if we rescue any hot women, I call dibs on the thank-you kisses." She produced a flask from her cloak (it really was nice, lots of pockets) and offered it to Briar. "My name's Kasumi. Most either call me Kas or Mimi." She paused. "Actually, that was just that one girl, and I was sort of between her—anyways. It's a tradition among my people to drink with someone you've just struck a deal with." She wasn't sure if it was an actual tradition, but she had certainly become fond of the practice. "Oh, and there are certain towns I have to avoid. I am, as you may have noticed, absolutely irresistible. I may have run afoul of certain mayors by, uh, anointing, let's call it, their wives. In every room. A common practice at my temple." That was an outright lie, but Kasumi liked to think of it as a necessary one. "Some people just don't understand traditions, I guess."

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys

Ordering another mug of ale Uriel exhaled slightly as he kept his eyes on the two in the corner. He was to far to hear there conversations but there motions were easily enough to make out. Along with the rumor's he had heard of the one that had wandered to the strangers table he likely figured what was being said between the two. Why he cared he didn't know himself but he had taken an interest in it. A wooden thunk muffled somewhat by the ale that was within its walls came from behind him drawing his attention back to the bar as he gave a nod to the waitress. "Thank ye lass" Uriel called reaching back as he grabbed the mug bringing it to his lips and slowly consuming it. As of yet he had barely felt a kick of intoxication from the weak ale, a waste of money normally but his lips had been dry so he needed something to quench his thirst.

Ecirp

Ecirp stands up and looks around again before looking back at how many people were in the room then looks up before turning into a shadow on the ground and disappears heading towards the town she mentioned. The way it sounded they were going to do a raid soon, if not then she meant just food and actual supplies, but to be safe he decided to grab a couple weapons and armor sets from the nearest shops. due to his form he could travel extremely fast and was soon at the town mentioned.

XXXXXAfter a good several minutes or so had past, she found that her head still ached. It was a sign that she should cease movement and take a break if she wanted to avoid losing consciousness. Thus, she slowly lowered herself to the ground and leaned her back against the tree. Her weary eyes closed, and her head leaned back against the trunk. Her arms took the effort of raising, then limply falling into her lap.

Briar couldn't help but smirk. She doubted that half the things Kasumi said about her 'traditions' were true, but she wouldn't say as such for the moment being. After all, she'd seen and heard of far stranger customs ever since entering this strange and unwelcoming world. "Thank-you-kisses? Naughty trists with mayors' wives? I promise you, my fair lady, you'll not have to worry about any competition on my part. As I said, I'm celebid. Chastity vow and all that." She spoke in a fairly charming manner, a suave smile lighting up her cherry lips as the words gracefully danced out her mouth. "I'll be happy to drink with you. I must warn you now that I cannot afford much for the moment being."

"That's what this is for." Kasumi took a drink from the flask, then offered it to Briar. "Rule one: Bring your own if you can. That way you assure quality." Rule one of what, she did not specify. She had a lot of rule ones, and brought them up when necessary. "Also rule one: Have eyes in the back of your head. People are staring and don't look, Briar, and you're lying—but I'm not a pushy person. You could have said you're uninterested. But still, people are staring. I think my reputation is catching up to me." She looked distinctly pleased with that notion. "Third rule one: Have a reputation. I'm not even allowed in most respectable brothels anymore." And, once again, she looked very pleased with herself.

Reiko looks around before shrugging and walking into a nearby tavern. She glances around and spies Uriel drinking alone. "Mind buying a girl a drink?", she asks as she sits next to him, not bothering to hide her mischievous grin.

"And myself something stronger then this horse piss you call an ale" he called to the man with a bit of a laugh. The barkeep knowing the man was only joking got to work getting two drinks for them as he brought them up behind him. "Here you go lass, but if I am buying you a drink I could atleast get yer name" the dwarf raised man said raising an eyebrow towards her.

"Reiko.", she responds cheerily. She downs the drink in a few gulps before speaking again, "You wouldn't happen to have a name yourself, would you?"

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys

Sipping from his mug Uriel watched Reiko for a moment as he drink a few gulps of his ale. "Uriel" he said simply turned putting the mug on the table. "Tell me lass what brings a dame such as yourself to such a eyesore of a bar" he asked her raising an eyebrow slightly towards the girl.

"Boredom~.", Reiko says with continued cheeriness, "What brings you here?" Her cheeriness vanishes for a second as she stares sadly into her empty mug.

Ecirp

Ecirp had found himself a couple different food stalls or taverns that would supply him with the food he needed to bring back to everyone, but what should he bring back was the real question. He had an assortment to choose from, even if most places served the same thing, he still had to choose right for some reason as he got yelled last time for bringing only fish. He took a second before appearing in a humanoid appearance on the side of the street, then started to walk towards a nearby stall. His appearance quickly made a good amount scatter away from him, only to watch from a distance.

"Jobs" he said simply giving a small shrug to point some attention to the weapons he carried. "Traveling blacksmith lass" he said with a bit of a smirk nothing his own craftsmanship on the pair. "People pay for good weapons and armor this day and age" he told her as he sipped his mead.
