Dory is a sweet mare, but suffers from her short term memory, as a result she often doesn't remember those she's met, where she is going or even the names of her children on occasion!
Dory likes the sea, likes to stand on the beach and watch the waves because the sea is always the same, and she doesn't feel that she is forgetting something when she is standing by it. She likes to collect shells, and then discard the collection to start again. Dory loves to race, and has a good turn of speed on her.
Dory was once lifemated, and has an echo in her heart of what it was like to be loved. When she remembers that feeling she becomes slightly down, but on the whole she is cheery.
Dory has three children, who she remembers with varying degrees of success, but she'll always love them.
Familiar:
Squishy is Dory's closest friend, a canny vixen who is pretty much the intelligence and wit of the two of them. She looks out for Dory, counsels her, and tries to keep her out of trouble, especially when it comes to stallions, as she is invariably always right about them.
Because of this, Dory told Squishy that she didn't want her around when it came to meeting males, as she was worried that her familiar friend would frighten them all away! Because of her affection for Dory, Squishy agreed, but she knows that she'll be there to pick up the pieces if everything goes pear-shaped once again.
