James managed to clear the trees just in time to watch the portal close. He cursed his bad timing as he continued to run over to where the people were. He looked around as if expecting to find them lying around somewhere close by. He knew that chances of that being that case were less than none, but he felt the need to try just in case. "Well the people that took the girl weren't angels, that much is for sure." He was pretty sure that angels weren't quite capable of some of the feets that those two did. Plus, why would they bother coming this far into enemy territory for just one girl?

((Yay I was kidnapped lol okay in case you aren't in a different rp with me, my.computer has been sent off to be repaired and so I'm on my phone.))

Akalia looked aghast as she was picked up. She really detested being touched. It was so... Awful. At least to her. It was a feeling of intimacy that she didn't like whatsoever... But if she resisted a fight would occur and she couldn't let that happen. When the portal opened she squirmed slightly. Detesting the thought of being taken against her will to a place she couldn't fathom. She didn't like it. She didn't like it. She did not like this. She struggled slightly. " I can walk.... You... Y-you don't have to carry me. I can walk. Thank you very much." She said quietly and slightly timidly. It could be seen on her face that she didn't like this. Not one bit.... That she might even be.... Scared.

The thing about Veo was that he had never taken a woman who was unwilling. He had never 'raped' anyone. Apparently... You can't rape the willing. And if the princely status wasn't enough, he was also gorgeous, even by demonic standards. He simply thought of 'Akalia' as another one of them who would simply fall head over heels for his gallant, dashing, godly (or rather, ungodly) self. "As you wish, my lady", he said with a tinge of amusement and mockery in his voice although it sounded vaguely more like a twisted form of fondness. He set her down, gently taking her along by the wrist as they were drawn into the demon kingdom's throne room -- one of the three 'conventional' ways to get to his bedroom, although he took this one today merely for show. They were walking right in the middle of a court of demonic nobles; some alluring, others putrid, all of them secretly or openly vile and reprihensible.

"Veo", cried one of the king's most trusted advisers -- a large, flabby demon with red skin and pronounced horns. His voice boomed throughout the throne room, bringing attention to the prince and his companions; who was hastily heading towards the passage way towards his room.

Veo turned back with a flip of the vainly-cared-for raven hair. The wild look in the prince's bewildering bright blue eyes was enhanced by the often-rehearsed smile of 'nothing-is-out-of-the-ordinary. "Oh! Adviser. I did not hope to see you there", Veo said most noticeably with a grim-sounding and eerie chuckle that contrasted with the playful way he enunciated his words. 'But how could I not with that ghastly obese and malformed, reeking form', he mumbled, barely audible to anyone other than Akalia and Lucrecia.

"Wings!", cried out one of the demonesses with a shriek cry and a pointed countenance as the court began to stir with the commotion of having an angel in the very core of the demon kingdom. Some exclaimed malice, pounding fists and screaming abuse. Others licked their lips with wide eyes and quickly tapping fingers.

"Ah! so you have noticed. This is..." He stopped himself right in the middle, turning back to Lucrecia, mouthing 'What's her name?' before turning back with the same frivolous demeanor and continuing, "She is my prize is future bride. That is right! We are soon to wed. In fact...", he paused with his eyes glinting as his grin reached ear to ear, the pearly whites of sharp fangs making him appear a little more malevolent than usual. "...We're in love"

The demon court broke into an outcry of protest, looking to each other and then to their prince. They had often turned a blind eye to his many foolish and maligned acts. They often even complimented him to satisfy his egotistic narcissist fancies. But this.... Now this was outrageous. Wait till the monarchs here about this! What their son has done. In love? In love?! That is but a human preoccupation. Angels, too, to some degree, they guessed. But this? The well-respected demon prince? In love with an...an angel? In the middle of an angel-human war that may very well cement the demons' takeover of the entire world? Yes. Veo is delirious. Even by demon standards. Spoiled, son of a.... Demon.

{It's totally cool for me. biggrin }

Lucrecia certainly felt sympathetic towards the outcries of the court, after all, this was pretty ridiculous - even for Veo. She was still absolutely certain, though, that this was by no means a permanent issue. Akalia would bore and frustrate Veo within a few weeks due to her refusal and likely strong angelic tendencies. If he happened to marry her by then, he would just stray or outright kill her - which really would cement a war with the angels, thus making that the only real issue. Lucrecia could only hope that everyone would see reason and assume that she would be gradually talking Veo down from this foolishness. (After all, she would be. Just in small baby steps.) For now, she needed to quiet the crowd.

"Would you all kindly shut the hell up!" she exclaimed, starting audible but civil only to say her command in a booming and vicious voice towards the end. Lucrecia could be quite frightening when she wanted to be, despite her normally soft and pleasant gorgeous features. "As much as you like to think otherwise, this isn't your choice to make. If you have a problem, tell it to the King. Otherwise, you can all mind your own damned business!" Obviously, as the Prince's guard, she was obligated to take his side no matter what. It came with the job, and there was no doubt in her mind that many would only view her words as her obligation and nothing more. If anything, some who knew her exceptionally well might assume that she agreed or at least sympathized with many of the points made by the protesting crowd.

((It's fine by me))

Akalia paled when the demon court started screaming about hee being an angel. Her wings must have slipped out from under her cloak... She winced slightly when he said they were in love. She looked at him shocked before devising her own plan. She pulled herself closer to the prince and wrapped her arms around his waist and tried to hide her face behind her hair and on hos shoulder. She gave what looked like a smile. "Don't say my name... Just call me... I don't know... Amelia would work." She whispered. She didn't think the court would like the fact that she was the princess... Even the heir. She was trying to seem like a simple angel that had fallen for the prince's devilish charms. 'Devilish is right...' She thought.

"Come on. Let's go report what happened." James muttered as he started back towards the camp. He couldn't help but feel like he knew the girl that was being kidnapped. He didn't get a good look of her, but he did remember seeing her short hair. Of course there were a couple of girls that had short hair so he could just be imagining it, but still. Worry about that later James. Right now you're kind of in the middle of a war. He thought to himself as he entered the boundries of the camp. But his mind kept wandering back to the scene. Something about the girl kept bugging him, and as he entered the tent that Robert and the others were in he realized what he saw that bugged him. She had wings.

((Bump))

Veo was rather amused that Akalia was playing along with this little stunt of his. He obliged, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pulling her closer to himself. A bright, yet somehow malicious smile shone upon that face of his -- one that put him in a recognizable mood. His guardian was excellent in these sorts of matters that he did not like to attend to and looked to the direction of the door and leave it to her instead. However, he looked back and focused on the crowds after a rather urgent-sounding cry of 'wait' interrupted the animosity of the entire hall.

"You are planning to bed her, prince? You claim to be in love, you claim to understand love though it is visible on your face that your intent must be far from different. This is not how angels and humans go about with 'love', I'm afraid", called a bright, tender voice from the slew of traitors and infidels. It was a young cambion, raised in the demon court since his father was a high-ranking demon himself.

"Hm?", Veo turned his head in the direction of the voice, his eyes searching steadily for who might be so bold as to oppose him and ruin this moment of fancy. That handsome face of his was painted with disdain until he found the source of the irritating words. What he said was a joke. This love matter was torture towards his often well-appeased ears. "Ah, you", he said, noting who had spoken. What he did not like even further was that the other demons nodded their heads in agreement with the half-demon with affirmations of "Yeeaaaahh!" and "Sounds good!" echoing all throughout. The prince rolled his eyes with an exasperated sigh and put up his hands (well, his free hand). He scowled in a sudden moment of outrage, "Then what would you have me do?"

The young boy was not intimidated, no... Barely even affected by the demon prince's behavior. He replied very calmly with the cold and enchanting eyes of one his kind, "People in love must first 'marry' before consummating their love. I believe you have heard of this term, yes?"

It was then decided by the others with giggles and snide remarks that the prince must keep his 'prize' in a separate room until they were wed.

Veo's eyebrow twitched. He couldn't believe this little ploy for amusement was being used against him. And he did not understand half of what the boy meant to say, including the hidden implication that Veo knew nothing about marriage. He looked down towards the angel wrapped around his waist and decided that she was fair enough. Maybe indulging the demons a little would not hurt. He skewed his mouth to one side in an expression of disgust and said impatiently, "Yes. We shall marry. Tomorrow!"

"Ah-ah! Not so fast, dear prince. In 'marriage', both you and she must say yes of your own free will. Also, you cannot touch any other being in a sexual way other than your wife when you are wed. So I believe it best to give you two a week to prepare for a grand wedding, so all of us may watch your 'love' blossom", the cambion said with a giggle, making quotation marks in the air at the mention of love. It was really quite a strange and inappropriate word in the demon realm, it seemed.

The prince was a little dumbfounded at what that little snitch just said. Why, he ought to zap the little t**t to shut him right up. But Veo wasn't that stupid. Emphasis: not that stupid. He knew the demons would fly into a rage and report him to his father if he displeased them any further. That was never a good thing, even for the proud heir. He was beginning to regret his choice of words and actions. He never really saw marriage as the end of his bustling sex life. Then again, the angel in his midst was so lovely, too lovely. And he began to fall in lust again, looking down at her, that his face had softened from irritation to a look of confounded thoughtfulness.

The angel princess was loving the turn of events. She looked up at Veo. A mischievous look in her eyes but a cute 'simple' smile on her lips. "That shouldn't be too hard for you, my Love." She said giving a slight giggle at the words. She hated being this way, but it made her seem like a love struck girl. Plus, this gave her atleast a week before their 'marriage' and that gave her plenty of time to sneak away. Maybe even get a message to one of her guardians. Or even her father... No that was not a good idea. She played with the trim of his shirt, absent mindedly continuing her little charade.

She raised her blur eyes towards the group of demons and gave a blush. Such things were easy for angels, especially the heir who was supposed to make.her suitors happy. She hoped it frightened them. That would be too easy though.

Lucrecia visibly facepalmed at Veo's behavior and the kidnapped angel girl's encouragement of it. The prince was making a damned fool of himself, and at this point she really couldn't save him from it. Had she any doubts that he was a complete and utter moron before, they all died and withered away at that very moment. Considering her secret attraction to her charge, this even went so far as to make the normally shameful Lucrecia feel a little disgusted towards herself. "Veo, before you deign it necessary to enlighten us with your profound knowledge and insight on matters of the heart, I suggest we speak in private." Her softly spoken words were drowned in sarcasm, but hopefully he would get the hint and let her chew him out for his recklessness before getting any more brilliant ideas.

Veo was very much unhappy at this turn of events. He scowled even. "Whatever", he said disinterestedly towards his guardian. Whatever meaning okay. But then again, the prince's language was slightly different from their original meanings. A few servant demonesses came to take Akalia to a separate room, their hands groping here and there when the prince caught one of their hands that was about to land on Akalia's chest. He glared at the woman whose wrist he caught, with piercing daggers for eyes and an aura that whispered 'murder'. "Don't.Touch.Her", Veo said and the woman froze, not able to speak a word and company followed suit. Veo turned briskly, expecting Lucrecia to follow right after him towards his sitting room. Akalia was barely touched but simply led by the ladies soon after.

All the while, the demon court continued in their eruption of laughter. Many demons had almost tears in their eyes, laughing at that rare spectacle of the prince. No doubt, they would be too entertained to ruin this pleasure now by telling the king but that did not stop them from their humiliation of the prince. Many acted out 'being in love' as they had seen from humans, making parodies of the lives of everyday folk. More laughter followed and it took some time for the noise to die down.

Lucrecia followed after the Prince without hesitation, needing no order nor indicator from Veo to know what most of his expectations were. She'd been his guardian long enough to learn his private language, what certain spoken words meant and what they didn't. She liked to think that this made her better than her predecessors in a sense. Then again, she liked to think a lot of things. It made it easier to deal with Veo's more ridiculous moments, which were just as often as one might suspect.

Thoughts aside, she looked herself over and realized that she had yet to remove the robe she wore when helping Veo to steal his prize - even though she had long since removed the hood that previously hid her hair and facial features so nicely. With a bare flick of her wrist the linen fabrics faded into nothing remarkably quickly, revealing the body-hugging eldtritch obsidianwear - one could hardly call it armor by virtue of what little it left to the imagination - that she'd been wearing beneath the entire time. Lucrecia was talented enough in her magics to project and create her wardrobe from sheer magical essence, naturally saving her quite a bit of time in shopping for and/or sewing her own wardrobe.

Veo untied the ribbon that held fast his cloak and cast it in the direction of a servant without so much as looking at the demon boy. He threw himself onto the long sofa in the sitting room outside his bedroom and instinctively signaled for a bottle of wine to be brought to him. The servant poured him a glass and placed the bottle upon the small table at the prince's side. Veo leaned back and crossed his legs, making himself comfortable as he swirled the liquid in the glass -- the color reminding him of blood. He licked his upper lip and seemed for a moment, captivated by the thick, red liquid. He was expecting Lucrecia to say her piece although it seemed he did not pay attention at all. One does not need to feign giving attention when one is the crown prince of a glorious kingdom. He spoke no words -- only expected.

((OOC: ))

Lucrecia didn't expect Veo to listen to her in the least. After all, she was 'just a guard'. He was the bloody prince of all demons, even if he was a bit of a fool. But there's a first time for everything, and Lucrecia would be damned if she wasn't going to try for it. "I understand the need to show off. Who doesn't like putting the rabble in their place? But just earlier? You made a total a** of yourself. Try thinking about what you say to these parasites before you say it, or else they'll use your own words against you. Every. Single. Time." Whenever she had these talks with Veo she kept a calm, quiet, and almost seemingly concerned tone of speech. She never let herself sound angry or frustrated, even if she was, no matter how she happened to word what she said. "As for the marriage thing, I will support you regardless of your decision. Just know that your frilly honey is not to be trusted. She might put up an act for her own benefit, but she is not here by her own consent and chances are high that she never will be. Plus, unless you can manage to sneak around without getting caught, going chaste for a girl you hardly know isn't too smart. Or fun. I hope you're prepared to sleep in the bed you made for yourself. Alone. Or know how to make it look like you have." Again, Lucrecia doubted that Veo cared - let alone bothered to listen to what she had to say. It didn't matter, though. She had warned him, and if he didn't feel it necessary to pay much mind to her words, it was on his head. "Whatever you decide, I am your loyal servant until the day you toss me aside or your father stops paying me. Whichever comes first." she finally relented, signalling that she was done. Or in other words, whether he listened to her or not she'd still be there to help him. Lucrecia just wouldn't accept any of the responsibility as her own if it all blew up in his face.

Akalia gasped slightly as the demonesses started touching.her. she didn't like.to be touched. She went rigid as Veo stopped one maid from grabbing at hee chest... What was she in for? She thought to herself unsure of what she had even hoped to gain from this. When the maids showed her to the room she would be staying in she flinched visibly. It was quite pretty, if you were a demon... She sighed as she was finally left alone. What was she to do? She placed her hands on her knees as she sat and put her head in them. Ready for tears she wasn't willing to shed. At least she had seen the purple haired man, perhaps for the last time.

What could she do, other than try to contact her guardian... The only friend she had anymore...
