Oh wow, okay, that's news to me. Don't think I've ever had the guts to run a character with negative Str, though.

personally I prefer all stats at or above 10 myself. just trying new things, but I feel lacking and Audio Blur seems less than pleased with the items I have. i think this new thing isn't working too well.

Anyone know how to lessen Arcane spell failure on armor? Save for the feat trap that is Arcane training?

'still spell' metamagic feat would certainty work but there are down sides;

Benefit: A stilled spell can be cast with no somatic components. Spells without somatic components are not affected. A stilled spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell's actual level.


there might be some artifacts/magic items that allow one to ignore somatic components but I am not sure.


also the Magus magic class has this: "A magus is proficient with all simple and martial weapons. A magus is also proficient with light armor. He can cast magus spells while wearing light armor without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance. Like any other arcane spellcaster, a magus wearing medium armor, heavy armor, or a shield incurs a chance of arcane spell failure if the spell in question has a somatic component. A multiclass magus still incurs the normal arcane spell failure chance for arcane spells received from other classes."

No. Nothing 3rd party. Races from bestiaries are fine and all, but I've seen some broken stuff in 3rd party. If you go to pfsrd, you can use thw core races, uncommon races, and stuff like that.

No. Nothing 3rd party. Races from bestiaries are fine and all, but I've seen some broken stuff in 3rd party. If you go to pfsrd, you can use thw core races, uncommon races, and stuff like that.

I believe he's referring to Paizo's Pathfinder Advanced Race's Guide Race Builder.

Seeing as we have another ranged combat character, and are kind of weak on the spell casting side, I'm thinking of changing my character to an Oread Cleric of Abadar, who joined the Academy so she could help bring civilization to all those roving monstrous heathens.

sounds like a noble goal to me...looks like you've got some time to make that character, lol.

It'd be nice to see another type of cleric in a game. I usually see clerics of Iomidea and Kaiden....war and parties...go figure...
