[3v1] squishy little first-years [Estel, Shun, Quillan, Nim]

Shun readied another throwing blade. Just as he went to throw it, Nim's lightning had struck him, causing his throw to go wide. The reaper cursed under his breath before one of the rings he wore began to give off a shadowy sort of aura.

This aura soon enveloped his blades, and it now seemed that he was moving considerably faster than before. Shun rushed forth at Estel, striking twice. One slash was aimed towards her waist while the second was a stab for her shoulder. As he did this, he watched for any signs of retaliation, in preparation to dodge out of the way.

Estel twisted to deflect the dagger coming at her stomach, but the other one caught her shoulder as she turned. Golden light began to drip through her sleeve, and she staggered back weakly, narrowing her eyes.

"Estel! Are you okay?" Quillan said as he ran over to where Estel was. Unlike Nim, he hadn't taken the first aid class yet, which he now regretted doing, so he had no way of helping her.

Nim had used up what little she had on Quillan, so she didn't have anything to offer Estel. Instead of letting time go to waste she focused in on Shun and came at him with another punch.

Shun was about to go follow up a strike on Estel, but he caught movement coming in. As Quillan approached, he aimed a kick towards his abdomen. He gritted his teeth as he felt another light strike from behind. Their hits didn't hurt much, but he wouldn't be able to just stand there and keep taking blows, still.

"I'm fine!" Estel called back, charging at Shun. She attempted to grab the back of his jacket and maybe pull him off balance.

Although he should've expected it since he had gotten so close to the reaper by running to towards Estel, Quillan didn't see Shun's kick coming. He felt like he was practically done for as he collapsed on the ground from the force of the kick. Quillan decided that if his time in this battle was going to end soon, he would do his best to assist Estel and Nim. He grabbed onto Shun's leg, refusing to let go. This should slow him down a bit!

They were actually doing really well! Nim was very proud of their little trio. While she still wasn't sure Shun wasn't going to kill them, at least they'd put up a good fight.

She aimed a kick at him this time, and while she still couldn't figure out how to direct lightning to her kicks she at least made contact.

Quillan had managed to get a hold of his leg. And the others were still wailing on him quite a bit. He could feel himself wearing down. Taking a deep breath, he vanished once more, leaving behind a few shadowy wisps. Unlike the last time, he instantly reappeared besides Nim, where he lashed out at her. He then vanished and came back on her opposite side to strike in that direction. He continued to teleport around her, striking once each time he came back in sight. After a number of stabs or slashes like this, he finally stopped and landed a small distance away.

Letting out a breath, he eyed the three, trying to figure out what his next move should be.

Ignoring the pain in her shoulder, Estel moved across the gym again. Shun was impossible to pin down while he was attacking Nim, but as soon as he had finished, she charged, coming in from the side and trying to just slam into him - good shoulder first. As usual, everything she had learned about strategy was starting to fade from her mind.

Quillan was suddenly holding onto air as Shun used another ability, disappeared, and reappeared next to Nim. Looks like his plan had failed. He watched Estel slam into him before he got back on his feet.

At first the hit hadn't seemed that bad, but then they just kept coming. Nim let out a frustrated scream as Shun seemed to come from every direction and she couldn't escape him.

She managed to flail out an arm and hit something solid, but she was pretty sure it didn't do much.

Shun grunted as Estel rammed into him pretty hard. He fell back, but decided to try and use his momentum to his advantage. He rolled to the ground as he went down. Once his feet touched the gym floor, he managed to push himself back up. This time around, he launched himself back at Quillan, aiming to stab him between the ribs.

Estel wasn't able to regain her balance in time to prevent Shun from making it back over to Quillan. She frowned, pressing a hand to her shoulder and shaking her head hard to clear it.
