Vera finished up her second drink before the third one she ordered for everyone came. She raised her glass and smiled when the others accepted her offer. The bartender looked in her direction, still looking uneasy. Vera rolled her eyes before digging into her pockets and pulling out cash, putting it on the counter to pay for the drinks. The bartender seemed to have relaxed a little as he went and collected from the Priorian.

Right after paying, Vera heard glass shattering and looked over towards the source. It seems that the Drionian had destroyed a piece of property from the bar and the bartender didn't seem too pleased. "Didn't you like it, Sparky?" she asked. She heard Drionians were a little bit stranger, but she couldn't make sense of his actions.

Amaya's eyebrows raised as Jaycee broke the glass. Amaya had broken one earlier though it was for murder purposes and in comparison, Jaycee's seemed random.

Before she could open her mouth, Amaya shot out of her chair and with her, several shadows rose from the bar, protecting her and the small group that the Priorian female had bought drinks for as an explosion engulfed the bar.

"Son of a b***h!" Amaya yelled as the shadows fell, revealing that not only everyone else in the bar was dead, but that the entire block of city had been leveled.

"Jaycee, Ecladian, do one of you have a ship? We need to get off this planet, now!" She shouted to the small group left, pulling knives from her hips.

Cardiff was burning, ships were fleeing the planet as quickly as possible, and gun fire was rampant in the streets as more explosions began to burst through the planet's crust.

Looking at Vera after her comment Jayce was about to say something when Amaya suddenly shot out of her chair an on look on her face as everything went black around him. The sounds of an explosion and gun fire filled the Drion's ears as he tapped his goggles to no effect on being able to see in the darkness. It didn't matter much as after a few moments the darkness faded revealing the rubble that was once the bar they had been standing in. Around them bodies lay scattered and not far from them at least the top half of the bartender lay exposed from under rubble of the bar.

Saying nothing for a moment Jaycee kept his eyes on the bartender. Looking back at Amaya as he was seeming to process what was going on around him. "I have ship. Not big. Maybe carry three in all" Jaycee said to Amaya as he looked down at his wrist beginning to tap on it several times as it's screen flashed with varying signs and symbols.

Jace sighed, his mission had not gone as planned, and now the entire city seemed to be on the verge of chaos. Despite his best efforts, Jace had been unable to prevent the rioting and destruction. All that was left was to get off-world as fast as he could. Therein lay the problem, as Jace's Jumpship was destroyed. "Aw man, I still had some payments left on that thing." He groaned. He didn't have enough stamina and energy to take on everyone on the planet, and he needed another way out, so Jace headed back into the city to try and help the best he could, maybe one of the people he found had a ship. It was after he finished this train of thought that he came across the recently destroyed bar, people running around and panicking while gunfire and explosions played all around. "Is there anyone still alive in there?" The Cordian asked, hand at his holster ready to fire if there were hostiles.

Maverick grinned and said "No Claudia, the pleasure is mine." He watched amused at the other three in the bar. "Your father taught you those skills eh? Sounds like he was an impressive man." The Drion certainly seemed lively and had an interesting way of speaking.

Suddenly he heard explosions coming from outside. He drew his blade instinctively, "No I do not have a ship, what the hell is going on?" He looked at the Sondaran and said "I hope you can make blades of wind without a sword. It seems we may have some serious trouble."

Before she knew it, everything was pitch black. Vera then heard the explosions and destruction as she immediately got on her feet. The darkness disappeared just as sudden and fast as it had appeared. What she saw after was something that she didn't even think she could ever imagine happening. Seeing all these innocent people dead really got her blood boiling as she clenched her fist and set it ablaze. "That's what I want to know as well as the b*****d that did all this." she said when the Ecladian brought it up.

Vera heard someone calling from the outside. It appears that a few slabs of the wall still stood among the rubble. She headed out of the destroyed bar and looked over at the male that called out to them. She saw no distinguishing features on him and judging from the way he was dressed, she assumed he was a Cordian. "You. You're a Cordian, aren't you? You and your kind did this, didn't you?!" Vera said accusingly as she started approached him. Her fist was still engulfed in fire as she glared at the male. Just like everyone else, she heard the rumors about Cordius and their people. She never really trusted Cordians and after the chaos going on now, she let her anger get the better of her and was quick to blame them for it.

"It's going to have to make five work or we're going to have to find something else." Amaya told Jaycee before she heard someone calling through the rubble. Her grip on her knives tightened as she watched the Priorian storm towards the Cordian male. "********, make that six." Amaya muttered as she ran after the Priorian, stopping at her side with a blade at her throat.

"Calm down! We don't know what happened yet, and we need to get off the planet. The fact that we aren't dead yet should be enough to tell you he isn't trying to kill us and he isn't the one that did this! We can kill each other when we're not sitting ducks " She growled in warning to the Priorian.

"Jaycee, Ecladian, I'm going to steal a ship, I'm trusting you're both smart enough to get it working when you get to it. " She called back to them, urgency in her voice as she saw ships in the distance firing upon the ground and heading in their direction. Looking up, Amaya pushed her goggles up onto her forehead in disbelief as the light started fading from the sky. "The sun is going out...Cardiff's sun is going out..." She muttered in disbelief before sheathing her knives. "Hey, it's about to get real dark and if you want to make it off the planet alive, we're going to have to get our asses moving. If you two can, light up the area and lead those three to the spaceport five blocks up." She told the Priorian and Cordian, pointing towards the line of fire. "I'm going ahead to clear the path and secure a ship. Don't take too long." Amaya told them before stepping back and disappearing into the shadows.

It took her only three minutes to reach the spaceport. It seemed the other Neocinians on the planet had the same idea as her, and she was already finding paths of death on her way there. Most of the ships were already gone, though Amaya was able to find a sturdy enough ship that could transport ten. Now she just had to defend it until the others arrived.

Looking up from his wrist Jaycee pressed the last button on it as two orbs popped out from his belt and floating just infront of him. After a moment they increased in size and began to expel a rather bright light from the two of them. "Oscillation modules active" Jaycee muttered to himself as his fingers twitched some what as one of the orbs floated over towards the others extending it's light source to fully cover a 10 meter area around them. "This should help" Jaycee said looking up at his own orb as it did the same thing as the sun quickly began to fully fade from the sky. "Possibility of survival is dwindling rapidly."

Looking over as Amaya had now vanished into the shadows Jaycee shook his head. "Moving now." Jaycee said simply as a holo screen appeared on his goggles giving him a map of the area towards the docks. "Set navigation waypoint alpha 5." On the holographic map display he was given now a more precise location of themselves as colored orbs were displayed of only those that were in the immediate area around him. "Come come" Jaycee said starting to move quickly towards where Amaya had said to go. It was strange that she was taking control of the situation so suddenly and even more so that he was simply going along with what the stranger was saying.

As he moved Jaycee didn't once bother to look back to see if the others had decided to follow him or not. Hesitance in this kind of situation would only lead to death and if they decided upon that path who was he to deny them. "Begin phases 1 thru 6 launch sequence. Coordinate standby at solar grid alpha omega 452" Jaycee called out seemingly to no one in particular. He was in fact speaking to his ship as the voice commands were input as the ship several dock spaces down from the ship Amaya had found began to boot up it's engines. Behind it several bodies were sprawled about from many of the inhabitants of Cordia who had tried to enter Jaycee's ship only to be leveled by electricity from the ships defenses. After a time the ship rocketed out from the docks towards the coordinates given by Jaycee. He would have to try and find it when all this was over.

Jace said nothing as a Priorian marched out of the destroyed building and began to accuse him and the rest of his kind of starting the chaos. She's not entirely wrong. He thought, grimacing at his failure. However there was no time for a rebuttal as a Neocinan also emerged, as well as several others. She quickly took charge and went to go secure a means of off-world transport. Jace said nothing, drawing his gun and following the Driorian, sweeping to make sure they all arrived at the docks alive. There would be time for words later.

As she stood waiting, Amaya heard the engines to a ship starting. To see that it was taking off by itself and that it was surrounded by dead Cordians was shocking to say the least, and with no pun intended. However she couldn't watch the ship long as three Cordian soldiers ran up on her ship.

"We missed a Neocinian in the blast. Take her down." The one in front said as the two behind him took aim. The bright flash the front man produced was enough to blind Amaya temporarily, and stop her control of shadows. With the light surrounding as it was, it was impossible for Amaya's control to reach far enough or even be of assistance. Still she clamped her eyes shut and shoved her goggles back down over her eyes, dropping to the ground to avoid their fire and strike from a lower angle. She got the lead man upon rising, her knives finding their way into his throat, before catching the man on his left in the leg, bringing him down and out of her immediate attention.

The man on the right was still an issue, punching Amaya in the ribs. Though Cordians were strong, Neocinians were built to be tough, though she felt a rib crack as she recoiled, spinning in time to catch him with her elbow. This brought the Cordian down and allowed Amaya time to finish him off, though as her sight was returning in time for her to finish the first Cordian she had knocked down, he produced another flash and managed to shoot the Neocinian in the thigh. The light beam that shot through the wound immediately after felt no better as Amaya yelled out in pain and rage, jabbing her fingers into her own wound to coat them in blood before leaping onto the remaining Cordian. She knocked his gun away and held her hand over his mouth as he tried to scream for help.

"No, no, no....shhhh...see I was going to go for the sweet spot. Left of the spine, fourth lumbar down, the abdominal aorta. Real gusher, but it's over in seconds. But you and your friends pissed me off. You're bringing this planet to its knees and making it look like Neocine did it, you blinded me twice, and you managed to make me bleed. Everyone knows Neocinian blood is poison." Amaya purred as she slowly carved a gouge into his arm, smirking as the muffled screams grew.

Once his arm started bleeding she jammed her bloodied fingers into his wound, holding him down as he struggled to get away, screaming in agony as he broke out in a sweat. "Neocinian poisons are hell, everyone knows that. But what everyone seems to forget is we drink the stuff. We live off it. It just gets worse." She told him with a cynical laugh as she continued holding him down as he struggled. Her leg was in excruciating pain, but knowing the Cordian under her was in worse pain currently brought her some comfort.

(Just to catch up here, we have Jace following Jaycee to Jaycee's ship. Amaya went to the docks to steal a ship, she acquired one and is guarding it now.... and myself, Vera, and Maverick are still at the bar having to choose whom to follow... correct?)

((well at this point you can say that you did choose to follow Jaycee and Jace, they both left it pretty open to give people time to catch up))

Vera felt the blade at her throat as she shifted her glare from the Cordian male to the Neocinian woman. What she said seemed to be true, but she wasn't going to admit anything. Their first priority was getting a ship and leaving Cardiff before they all die. Vera said nothing as the woman put her blade away, though her attention was drawn to the sky as the sun was going out and the darkness came quickly.

Seeing both the Neocinian and Drionian run off ahead, Vera took the flame she had in her hand and set a nearby plank of wood on fire to provide light for now as well as release some of her own tension. "Come on." she muttered angrily towards the others that were still around. She was still feeling bitter from before as she glared at the Cordian male before following the Neocinian to the spaceport. Arriving at the ship, Vera saw the woman holding down a Cordian and seemed to be torturing him. She looked quite scary, actually. "Man, you're brutal." she said to the Neocinian.
