As the female finished up their report, Hachiro would glance over it. "Not bad at all." Hachiro chimed in as she submitted it into the box. Not that he could exactly translate the quickly ascribed parchment. But it looked good enough to him. Satisfied, he would sit back in the chair next to the female. " It has been quite the interesting day..." He said, closing his eyes, reflecting on the events that had transpired. He looked over to the girl. " So, Miss Akahina, what are your plans now?"
Tsukiko spun around in her chair as Hachiro looked over her work, seemingly satisfied. He asked her about her plans and she giggled at the possibilities. "Well, I'm sure Chi could use more grub but she ought to work off her last meal first. I wanna do more assignments to clean up crime but the more responsible move is to do some bloodline training and test my speed. I could also learn some kick boxing but that'll take quite some effort and I dunno if I wanna bother when I'm already efficient with this baby." Feeling smug, she patted the long chain whip tied up on her hip. She didn't care for much training since it was so tedious for her; missions would be a thousand times more fun but she also knew it would be shirking her duty to only do them.
Of course, having a partner in crime while getting rid of crime would be alright in her book. "What are you gonna do?"
A large framed mustached man approached the two , slapping a file down between them on the desk. " No time for horseplay kids, we have a lead I need you two to follow." Hachiro sighed, glancing up at the chief. He pulled the manila folder closer to him and opened it, glancing over the details. " Black Water again?" He said aloud with a sigh. These gang members were becoming a true pain. The mission folder stated they were to infiltrate a common hang out of the gang, find the leader of that sect. and bring them in for questioning if possible, if not, perform a sting and extract all criminals from that hide out. The sting would require more help, the easiest of the two would be to bring in the leader while in disguise.
Hachiro turned to Tsukiko and spoke with a rather confident tone. " We can get some grub for Chi and head on in to the Tavern here?" He asked, sliding her the folder.

Tsukiko's eyes widened at the folder slapped down between them. Hachiro approached first and skimmed it. He sighed when he saw the culprits were the black water gang. Again. He pondered for a moment before sliding it her way. He asked her about heading on over, and she accepted before even reading the file. "Sounds great!" Chi's stomach grumbled at that moment, causing Tsukiko to giggle as she opened the file. She supposed she didn't have a choice if she wanted to clean up the streets. She put the file down when she read her fill. "Ready when you are!"
Hachiro moved from the chair, heading to a pantry nearest the two of them. Inside were supplies for law enforcement pets, a few spare cans of food were available. Offering it to Chi, allowing the feline to eat her fill he would move to pat her on the head before moving to the door. " Lets go. " he said plainly as he moved outside, Tsukiko and Chi being left to follow his lead.

"Aww, that's some good grub, ain't it?" She cooed to Chi, who purred appreciatively. She followed her partner out the door once she was sure Chi was finished.
Hachiro and Tsukiko were already on their way back from the tavern with their captured criminal, but she walked much faster after hearing the loud speaker. Chi was tempted to race her there, but then they'd end up leaving Hachiro in the dust and that wasn't good partner etiquette. They'd have to drop the perp off and question him later; there was something important happening right now.
Unsure of what to expect, she opened the door for her partner Hachiro so he could get in quickly and sit the criminal down in the back room. She stood by the entrance as she hadn't earned her own desk yet, arms crossed and foot tapping rapidly as she waited for the urgent news. She closed her eyes and mouthed a prayer that it was nothing disastrous.
__What in the world! Selina was at home drinking her coffee and watching her favorite Shojo series when all of the sudden, an announcement came about her having to come to the KPD! Why was she called? Did she still work there? She kind of forgot what she was supposed to be doing. After all, Ada was 85% of her impulse control. With her disappearance, Selina felt out of firepower. But that didn't matter though because here she was! She arrived and saw the brown haired boy and his partner. They looked nice. Maybe they knew something. Selina instinctively went over and waved both hands at them. "Hello!" She cheered enthusiastically with a wide smile. She may be confused, but she did love meeting new people.
Hachiro returned in tow of Tsukiko, she held the door for him as he made his way in. The two would enter the interrogation room. Hachiro looked the woman beside him, his grey eyes examining her. He had sobered since they left but still clearly recalled what he had said. "You.....can lead this interrogation, Tsukiko. I'll be here for support." He paused as he looked at the man they'd apprehended. His eyes flickered with bloodlust. " Best not to with hold information..." as he turned to take a seat at the edge of the room, an announcement blared for all KPD officers to headquarters from the chief. " lets make it quick. we have orders."
It was time to put what she'd learned to use. This was her second interrogation and the first she'd be leading. Her partner Hachiro had made a strong impression the first time with their bad cop, good cop routine. She didn't have intimidation down herself - she could use Chi, of course, but if the man had a cat allergy than they'd be in serious trouble.
No need for the stick, she thought with a smirk. The carrot works just fine.
She peeled off the wall by the entrance and followed her partner to the interrogation room. She let Hachiro toss the criminal down into the chair so she could begin. He landed with a grunt, which turned into a groan. Still a little drunk, edging into hangover territory. Her own head was pounding but the adrenaline rush of doing her job and the mystery of the KPD announcement would carry her long enough.
She put her hands on the table sweetly, cocking her hip and head in opposite directions. A smirk played on her lips as she made her move. "Let's cut to the chase, shall we? You hid pretty well once everyone knew about the warrant out on you. But we've got a rat on the street that was eager to drop your name in order to get his charges dropped. You want the same deal? I wanna hear you squeal."
"Pff'. Only pigs squeal. You would know a lot about that, huh?" He spat to the side, tightening his jaw when he reestablished eye contact in order to seem tough. She raised a brow, unimpressed. Rather than push the issue, she stayed still like a statue and waited.
He twitched after a few moments. In a minute, he dropped his gaze completely. "Imagine how lonely and quiet it'll be in a little stone room. Kumogakure doesn't offer conjugal visits, either," she added when she noticed his wedding band. His eyes widened at that and he stiffened. After a brief moment, he deflated.
"Don't bring Rei into this," he pleaded. "We've got a big shipment coming in of shooma from tea country. We've been dealin' it out on the streets ourselves instead of sellin' wholesale. Boss don't trust some of our middle men at the moment - thinks someone's shortin' him or somethin'. Those idiot teenagers you see running around the roof tops 'round high noon? They're carryin'."
Tsukiko tried to school her expression, but her jaw dropped an inch at the confession. They had wee ones in on it all. Academy students and shinobi-wannabe teens were dealing? That... that was atrocious. Her arms shook as she forced herself to stay still. She wouldn't slap him, she wouldn't slap him, she wouldn't slap him... "We're done here."
She stormed out of the room without looking back. She glued herself back to the wall right by the entrance of the department, arms crossed and eyes down. Chi pushed at her with her shoulders, but Tsukiko wasn't ready to be comforted just yet. It was heavy, learning that they had kids tied into their drug ring already. She hadn't realized scumbags could be so... scummy.
She raised her head as someone cheerfully called out "Hello!"
"Hey," Tsukiko said despondently, not even managing to fake a smile at the moment. She hoped this announcement was going to let them beat the black water gang to a pulp for what they'd done to the community.

It was no small task for a group as inexperienced as them. The number of criminals detained or killed in action were extraordinary. Ada made sure to include every detail she could remember from the mission in her report. It would have only taken a short while to manage writing out. Afterward she found that there wasn't much of any time to really catch her breath besides a short water break. Captain Jirocho sought her out to see to the load of criminals that had just been brought in. There were a lot more questions to be asked and loose ends to be tied up.
It didn't bother her that she was asked to see the rest of the job through to the end. All of her previous interrogations that led up to that operation weren't going to be for naught. Ada made herself comfortable with the first of many suspects for questioning. She'd start with questions about their organization. The suspect was sent away to his cell so the next suspect could be brought out. Ada preferred not to get so aggressive with her interrogations. All the same, she had no further patience for these men and women who were responsible for such a large chunk of civil disorder. Another captured criminal was sat across from Ada at the interrogation table. The officer of noble birth leaned forward only a little and the prisoner flinched backward into his chair. She had to restrain a chuckle, finding that she was rather fond of this fear that her presence carried amongst these scum. "Just tell me what I want to know and you'll return to your cell, unharmed." Go figure that by the time she finished with the last of these criminal scum, a thundering announcement was made by none other than the KPD Chief himself. Ada excused herself from the interrogation division to assemble in the debriefing room where she expected other officers to also be waiting. Sure enough, she would lay eyes upon a few interesting individuals, two of which she actually recognized. Ada greeted Selina with a smile and Hachiro with a simple nod. The other girl only received a neutral glance, but it was without any particular dislike. It was likely that she'd get to know Tsukiko in due time. For now, Ada took a seat and awaited an explanation for this mandatory meeting.

__ After Kenshin's training session he was called back to headquarters to interrogate the two men he apprehended from the cistern. He entered the building and made his way to the interrogation wing with authoritative steps. They wanted additional information as to whether or not the gang was operating in other locations besides the ruins. He received a full report from an interrogation officer before he entered the interrogation room and took his seat. He read through the pages as one of the prisoners was released from his cell to enter for interrogation.
He started with this first suspect by asking him general questions about his criminal organization discovered in the ancient sewers. Kenshin then flatly asked him questions about his involvement. Eventually, he confessed to full involvement as a low-level member.

Kenshin wanted to press him further with additional probing questions. It was obvious that this henchman had a low level of involvement, but it was a start. Kenshin asked him questions about the basic structure of the organization and he explained their criminal apparatus.

Now that he had a general overview of the basic structure of the organization he wanted to ask more about the bosses. The henchman then explained who the bosses were and how they operated. With that confession, he got a clearer picture.

He was halfway through with his line of questioning and so far this perp was cooperating. This was likely because he was in police custody and his whole headquarters was destroyed. He asked him if there were other locations of their organization around the village and he confirmed it.

This was worse than he expected, he hoped that by destroying the headquarters that the entire organization was gone. He asked additional questions pertaining to the role of the subordinate branches of their gang. He confessed that the branches were smaller and more spread it.

Now he simply needed to know where the remnants of the criminal organization were located. He asked many questions until eventually the criminal broke down and told him where every other location was beside headquarters. Immediately Kenshin acted on the confession and informed other officers to raid those locations.

Once Kenshin left the interrogation wing he heard a loud announcement from the chief of the KPD for all officers to go to the debriefing room. Kenshin followed orders and marched towards the room with a horde of other officers and jaegers. Ada, Hachiro, and Selina were already in the room upon his arrival. He gave them all simple glances of acknowledgment as he stood at attention awaiting what the chief had to say.

Once they were all finally gathered, the "jolly" sized Chief of police made his way into the room. Without wasting any time he placed a total of ten files onto the desk,"These are missing persons reports we got two weeks ago." Setting another fifteen onto the table, he continued,"Last week." Five more,"This week." Taking a sip of his coffee he continued,"You see, normally with a population like our village has, this would not be uncommon. But, the problem is, that each and every single one of these, are NOT from the village. They are from a small place up in the mountains. Town called Seizan. You five are going out of the village to investigate. Standard procedure applies, if you get engaged by bandits kill em, anything else break contact and report back. Ada, your lead on this investigation. Kosei, your her second. Any questions?"
Tsukiko raised her gaze from the floor when the chief walked in, though he only bore further bad news. She was already feeling down about the idea of children being indoctrinated into this drugged-up crime syndicate, but now there were missing people too? It didn't matter if they were from her village or not, she couldn't just let this happen. It didn't occur to her to ask why they were assigned out-of-village work, but rather what they had to go on. "There are no present leads?" She looked at her partner Hachiro with a wary gaze. She was a new officer, and had only ever worked with Hachiro (and Chi), but never with such a big a group as was being proposed.
Her partner Chi didn't share her apprehension, and looked ready to go in terms of hunting down some kidnappers.
__ When Ada's name was spoken and a specific duty attached to it she stood from her seat and bowed her head. "Understood sir." A basic chain of command was established for the assignment, but that still left a lot in the air for the sake of formations and such. It was clearly up to her to sort out the little details before they actually moved out to begin this assignment. For now she would approach the desk where the chief was and set her attention to the files of the missing persons. She wanted to know about these people they were looking into, obviously. Names and faces and a general head count were all good and well, but there was more to it than that, probably.
Each missing persons' file was mostly or completely committed to her memory, one by one before she asked the Chief, "Sir. Are we the first group to be sent to investigate this case?" She'd refrain from pointing out that a task force should've been established much sooner- like when the first five were reported missing from the same area. A total of thirty people gone from the same town though? This was just incredible in the worst ways. As important as it was to get answers, it was also important to rectify the lax responses to threats to public safety in the Land of Lightning as a whole. This affected the KPD's image too; whether the Chief realized or not, it also mostly affected his image as the one ultimately in charge here. Ada set the files back down on the desk when she finished with them and awaited the Chief's answer.
