Aly'on

"Mmh?" Aly'on questioned, placing the jacket aside and shucked out of the woolen shirt. He folded it nearly before opening his bag, drawing out a shirt of light linen in warm earthy orange, red, and browns tones and doned it. He brought out another shirt in blue and greys, a bit wrinkled but lighter. "I think this one might do for you. Might be a tad big... but it would be lighter then what you are wearing."

[ a'ye and green oyath - HR ]

"I always have time for you." A'ye kept the smile on his face, pleased to see S'del in such good spirits. It was true that they'd only ever talked to one another inside the infirmary and that wasn't exactly a perfect place to develop a friendship. Yet here they were, several months later, casually talking and watching an unexpected event happening. It was nice to have someone to share this experience with, rather than just standing at the sidelines with Oyath and viewing it alone. Not that he minded being alone, of course, but sometimes it made it easier when getting out of the way. Plus he found S'del easy enough to talk to, regardless of the fact he was a Bronzerider, and that was also good.

From above, Oyath made a noise that she was planning to land. If hers was going to stand and talk there was no way she was going to just circle for a while. There was space next to the massive bronze, A'ye had assured her, but the seething response had him sighing inwardly. Oyath didn't trust this man or his dragon, and A'ye didn't feel like arguing. "And hello Kindeth, very nice to meet you properly." The greenrider gave a polite dip towards the towering bronze before focusing back on his rider. "As for how I've been? Busy. Many in my wing are still out sick, or are in recovery and not able to perform, so Oyath and I have taken double shifts to try and cover it."

Shar

Hot. Hot hot hot. Sweaty and sticky and how was sand already getting in places she didn't know existed before now? Shar was not a comfortable Candidate right now, but all the discomfort in the world was worth standing at every hatching that she could. The heat, the sand, and the weakness left over from her serious bout of illness that had swept through the Weyr were taking a toll on her, but she kept her head up and her shoulders square to the eggs. Every chance she had to Impress was one she took seriously, even if it had happened a few weeks ago when she had been knocking on death's door.

Shifting in the sands a bit, she moved closer to Riz who looked about ready to piss himself at the sight of the golden queen. She knew dragons were impressive on their own, but a mother and her eggs was certainly a sight to behold especially for the first time. Another Candidate was already speaking to him, so she waited for him to finish before giving Rizdax's arm a little push.

"Buck up now, don't let the queen see you shaking in your robes. Calm and confident, like the Candidatemaster says, right?"

Rizdax

His nerves were slowly edging off the longer he was standing on the hot sands but his skin was already feeling hot and he just knew that no matter what happened he was going to leave the sands with his skin as red as his hair. The thought alone eased some of his tension and when it was paired with the sudden appearance of Renose on one side and Shar on the other he instantly felt better. As if he could breath when just a moment ago he hadn't been able to focus enough to do so. For his first Hatching it wasn't terrible so far, the queen seemed to be at least a little mellow and wasn't threatening to eat him for being so close to her eggs.

Squeezing Renose's hand a bit he offered him a grin, "Not at all, but that's what's so exciting about it." To Shar's push against his arm he laughed and did his best to keep his nerves out of it so he didn't embarrass her. "I'm glad the two of you are here. I'm an idiot, I'll work on calming down. Sorry."

He took a deep breath and looked around at all the other candidates that were present. Some from Weyrs he had only heard about but never gotten the chance to meet anyone from, though his opinion was that High Reaches was still better. Riz was aware that he might have been a bit biased though. One person at least stuck out to him and he waved over towards her as he saw Nalacko enter the sands. Sure they needed to be focused entirely on the eggs but that didn't mean that he couldn't at least have some friends around him that he could feel comfortable with.

Tsuyat of Bronze Yudueth

When he had suggested that Soui stand he had NO idea that it would be quite this fast at happening. Sure she was only in the crowd, but there was still the chance that she might impress and that alone was reason for him to come all the way to this island despite his reservations about what was happening. How in the world had this rider and her gold believed that this was a good idea?

Some riders are unaffiliated for their own reasons, no reason is selfish. Just accept it.

"I'm not judging them, I completely accept it I just don't like the idea of it being so out in the open." Tsuyat glanced around the air and pondered how Fort Weyr had managed to keep this spot free of Thread while the eggs had gotten a chance to harden. It was a shame there was no one here from that Weyr, but that gave more Candidates from Western a chance to impress and he would never turn down an opportunity for more riders to join the wings. One of which could possibly be his little cousin! "Soui?" Tsuyat glanced about for her and focused a bit on the Healers section since he figured she would gravitate to that area.

You are very bad at that. Soui, are you around here? You can always stand close if you need anything.

No hatchling was going to hurt his twin after all.

---------------
Nicara of Blue Diesteth

Landing gracefully on the sands with his passengers in tow, Diesteth stretched out carefully on the sands so that they could disembark while he cast a glance about at all the other Candidates already gathered before the weyrless gold. Bowing his head to her deeply, he turned back to press his nose against Nicara's stomach carefully to express his concerns. It seemed that it was far too soon for there to be another opportunity for the scarred and in some cases traumatized candidates to stand after the last hatching. At least to the large blue.

"Don't let it worry you, I know why you're concerned but it should be okay." Nicara ran a hand over his head knobs carefully and cast a grin back at those that had ridden with her over. "Time to go try and find your future partners. I'll be here to give you a ride back no matter what happens."

Really one of them she was cheering on more than the others but Nicara was far too professional to let that particular biased show more than a little and she kept her face straight as she spoke to them calmly. What none of them could see was her heart beating heavily in her chest and hopefully Roana hadn't felt that when she'd held on tight to her during the ride over.

Farensil climbed off the blue that had transported her hear and willed herself to listen to Gr'del's speech again, hiding the eyeroll she so desperately wanted to deliver. She'd heard this a thousand times...

Although, thinking about it, she hadn't done well at the last couple hatchings she'd been at, so... maybe she should pay attention again, after all. And, by the time she'd made that decision, he was midway through a repeat of the lesson, so she had... half the opportunity. Ah well, better than nothing.

So, Schpiel over, and the warmth of the island setting into her skin, Farensil smiled, enjoying the time outside, and let her eyes roam peacefully over the other candidates in their white robes, and she in hers, and the eggs lain out across the sand where the gold could lay over them if they needed shading, and turn them if they needed handling. There was something... somehow more peaceful about this nest than those on the hatching sands. It made it easier to shrug off the potential for any one of those eggs to hatch a whirling death machine to spin through the crowds and end her, or worse, the idea that she might survive another hatching longing for the other half of her heart.

With thoughts like that out of the way, she let her mind wander to the candidates she had, and hadn't met yet, and her eyes fell on a shock of red hair she was positive she'd never seen... next to three other hair-shocks she was sure she also hadn't met. She wandered over and tapped the nearest of the three on the shoulder, leaning into view. "You folk mind if I stand here?" As she got a look at Rizdax's face, she realized a vague familiarity, but couldn't exactly place him. Must've been one of the new kids she hadn't spoken with yet.

Akaris

"I suppose it was just meant to be, then," Akaris decided. "And she is lovely, so that might as well be her name. Better than a flit who thinks its name is 'No!'" The young woman brought her hand over her lips as she giggled. No, Lovely was of course perfect and well-behaved, not like one of those lesser flits who enjoyed causing trouble.

"I...I don't know, really," she answered, casting a glance over at the brightly-colored eggs and the mother who rested behind them. She'd wanted a gold once - more accurately, had thought herself exactly the sort of girl a gold should want - but Vimiath had scared that notion right out of her. Though they had ultimately made amends, some uneasiness remained. But not all dragons were scary, she had Junenth and Zinath to look to as proof of that. "It might be nice, I think, as long as it's sweet."

Nothing bad-tempered or violent! Not like so many of Vimiath's babies had been.

Erastan

Like the rest of the candidates the boy had been rushed pushed and dragged to the destination of the latest surprise clutch. His cheeks were flushed red from the manic scramble and his robe was on, but twisted rather awkwardly around his skinny frame. Truthfully the boy was doubtful that he would impress, the weyr was just a stop off for him and his twin. It was a source of regular meals and shelter from thread (which he was grateful for) while they waited out their candidate years while stock piling a few 'forgotten' items.

That was likely the reason that Erastan was completely calm, once they were over the initial scurry of activity and the trail of being forced so close to other people (Erastan has to swallow the urge to growl at them), he looked over the set up and then set off in search of his sister. Since his main goal and expectation was not impression keeping the separation of girls and boys to make it easier on the new dragons didn't even enter his mind.

As soon as he was free from the eyes of the candidate masters he slipped around the back of the crowd , eyes scanning for the dark hair and slim figure that matched his own. Once he found her he took step beside her, leaned in and slid his hand into hers, squeezing her fingers tight in a gesture of mute reassurance. If they stayed together he could make sure that his more bold twin wouldn't get in the way of any wayward hatchling. However he also hoped standing near the back with plenty of human shields between them and the eggs would be enough. He had heard about the unfortunate man that had lost his twin in the last hatching and he was not about to let that happen to him.

Roana

Roana had surprised herself. She was excited for this hatching. Despite the horrors of the last one and in contrary to her often stated belief she was not dragon rider material in her minds eye, she was forming the picture of herself on the back of her own life partner. Likely that was thanks to her beautiful golden flitt Nyeh and her near daily interactions with Nicara and Diesteth.

The great blue's landing was as graceful and controlled as always and the redhead reluctantly unwrapped her arms from around Nicara's slim elegant waist. She had been enjoying the excuse just to hold the smaller women and rest her head on her shoulder. However Roana was still unsure of the rules when it came to Candidates and riders. Not wanting to tempt fate she pulled away from the blue rider shortly after landing and slid to the ground with the others.

Patiently she waited for the other candidates to find their way to the waiting area and cast a single glance at the eggs, they weren't even moving yet, they had time. Once all the candidates were out of ear shot and were no longer paying attention to them (the hatching drew all their focus) Roana leaned forward and kissed Nicara's cheek. "You know, it might help Diesteth calm down if you didn't look so worried." She teased. "I think it will be fine, people remember what happened last time, they'll be less heros jumping in, and the candidate master told us the last lot of hatchings were usually bloody. Besides, I have to see you after because you so owe me a dance." she added with a wink. She finished the conversation with another quick hug and darted off to find her place in the crowd of female candidates, sort of middle of the pack. Not right at the front but close enough that her height and hair still made her stand out.

Astriana (Western)

Astriana finished her breakfast and headed back to the barracks, thinking on what chores she had to do today. Part of her hoped she would have time to spend some time with G'ryl, Miach, and their dragons afterwards. She wanted to know how their Weyrling lessons were going, knowing the dragons were starting their solo flights. It was only a matter of time before they would be doing paired flights. She was happy for them, but there was still that ache of feeling left behind. Shaking the thoughts from her mind, she reminded herself that it was not their fault or her brother's fault when he impressed when she had not.

Just as she returned to the candidate barracks to grab some things, she caught talk about how their was a hatching about to happen. It seemed an unaffiliated queen was on a beach near Fort Weyr and they needed candidates. Was it possible that this might be finally a special day for her..would her soul mate be among those eggs? She quickly got changed into her candidate robes and sandals, before heading outside to where dragons waited to transport the candidates. Getting on one, it wasn't long before she found herself on a sunny beach. It was really a beautiful day, hopefully that would be good news for them.

Climbing off the dragon's back, she hurried over to where candidates from Western and High Reaches were gathering. Her eyes looked over each of the eggs, taking them all in. She gave a bow to the parents, then her eyes returned to the stars of the show. She had stood enough turns to know how to act, but this was the first time she had been to one without a Touching. So the dragons inside was a mystery to all of them, it should be interesting. She hoped it would not be as bloody as the last hatching had been. Part of her wondered if her twin would be here, to cheer her on, but he might be busy. Not only that, but she remembered her Weyrling friends could not come. She hoped someone would be announcing what was going on to them. If not, she would fill them in when she returned, though hopefully with a dragon of her own.

Her eyes broke from the eggs briefly, looking to see who all were here. She recognized the candidates from her own Weyr and a couple seemed familiar from HR that had attended the last hatching. Her eyes slid over to Cedarian, knowing he was one of their own. She mentally scoffed a moment when she remembered he was friends with D'mar. Then reminded herself he was of G'ryl as well, so maybe he had some good taste. As much as she just wanted to stand by herself, there was strength in numbers. So she strolled over to where he was, seeing there was another being a nuisance.

"I see you have found an admirer, Cedarian,"she commented in her calm tone.

Ashlyn and Blue Gyafrith (HR Asst Weyrlingmaster)

Ashlyn was glad her family were all doing a lot better, including her Weyrmate. She had just been spending some time with T'ye, when a gentle nudge was felt in her mind. Feeling excitement from her blue wash over her, she arched a brow.

Ashlynmine, there is a hatching going on right now. Before you ask, it is on a beach near Fort Weyr and the clutch of an unaffiliated queen. We should go get some supplies and get down there to assist V'mel,Gyafrith suggested.

What about the Sr. Weyrlings, you know they still can't between that far. Shouldn't we stay behind to help watch other them?Ashlyn thought back.

You know Z'rik will be here, he is capable of keeping an eye on them. V'mel needs to have at least one assistant to help any new Weyrlings we may acquire today. If you are worried about them being kept in the loop, I will keep them up-to-date on what happens during the hatching. Also, you know some of your siblings will most likely be standing during this,Gyafrith reminded. He felt her kiss T'ye, explaining where she was going, before she gathered his gear. As soon as she came out to his ledge, he allowed her to get his gear on. Once everything was in place, they took off for the Weyrlings barracks, where they grabbed any supplies they may need. Then after allowing any candidates to go with them, they betweened to the beach.

As soon as they had arrived, Ashlyn instructed Gyafrith to lay down long enough for the candidates they brought with them to get down. Once they disembarked, she gracefully jumped down herself. Then she and her blue headed over to where she noticed the Weyrlingmasters setting up, so they could help. Ashlyn chanced a glance down where the eggs were, seeing two of her brothers and her sister. A smile came to her lips, before she got to work.

(Anyone can say Ashlyn and Gyafrith brought them. Also, feel free to interact with them as well)

Sylfie and Gold Hesperith

It had taken some convincing, but Hesperith had managed to get her rider to attend this delightfully unexpected event, and even transport some candidates! She'd reminded her that over the course of the winter, they had missed not one but two parties due to Sylfie's reluctance, and then she'd had to endure the stress of her rider's illness, had been utterly distraught and even tolerated going overlong without a good scrub and oiling. Then, once she'd finished whining bringing up such relevant points, added that the Hatching was taking place on a lovely, warm island.

And so here they were. With the candidates they'd brought unloaded, Sylfie slid reluctantly down from her dragon, but made no move to do anything further or find someone to speak to. Hesperith, quite the opposite, hummed at the eggs but also thrummed wordless concern at the mother of the clutch. Poor dear, all alone in the middle of nowhere with eggs to tend! What a terrible plight! The young gold radiated sympathy. Taking note that some dragons seemed to have positioned themselves as a sort of blockade along the water's edge, she moved to do the same and settled herself with poise.

What a lovely day this was looking to be! Sunny, warm, and with babies soon to hatch.

Midais - Western Candidate

It had caught Midais completely off guard when the candidates were rustled from what they were doing to quickly gather their robes and prepare to leave the weyr to head even further south. It meant taking a quick second to scrub the muck of beast off him before scrambling to find the familiar white gown that made him feel entirely unease everytime he looked at it. Coming from a colder region wearing something so lacking meant that there was a good chance of freezing components you didn't want to. Despite that Midais had made it safely to the beach barefoot and pants not sneakily rolled up underneath, which he was glad of considering the heat that the little island seemed to find itself enjoying.

Nerves crawled down his spine as the blue eyes gazed across most of the tops of the other candidates. It was bad enough that the giant mop of curly hair looked like a broom that had seen far better days in being tame, but Midais was taller than most of the candidates there. Even the robe sat a little short on his legs making him feel completely out of his element. Shaking his head he bit his lower lip the stone colored eyes refocusing on the what was important, the eggs that they had all come to see and help after their hatching. Even if he didn't impress, and odds where not in his favor considering the few eggs that were available, he would help out in any way he could.

Looking next to him he noticed a shorter candidate unfamiliar making him wonder if he was from High Reaches instead. “Is this your first hatching?”

baby-gwing

-------
Cabhan - High Reaches Candidate

It was completely unprecedented and if Cabhan had any choice of words on the entire affair he had to say it was hot mess of shambles no thanks to a particular rider and gold that trapped themselves on the island. That however didn't stop the man from pulling the well prepared satchel from under his bunk and now dealing with the heat on the forsaken spit of land. The look on his face did not improve when he saw the clutch, it wasn’t as large as he had hoped and considering this was his first real participation it didn’t look good for him in returning with a dragon at all.

Cabhan couldn’t decide if not impressing at all was more of a let down then not impressing a bronze as his hopes were on when the time came for the egg to hatch. Nerves crawled all over him as he felt his stomach wanted to give, but this wasn't the time nor place for such things. Instead he let his hands gripped the sides of his long white gown as he tried to study each of the eggs and then the other faces that had gathered all hoping for a new partner to return with.

----------

Sa’do and Bronze Rynsaith

When news came about a gold having a clutch of eggs at one of the lower southern islands Sa’do had found himself volunteering in helping taking out supplies and food needed for the hatching. Of course Rynsaith had grumbled quite a bit until he was able to stretch out on the warm sands and take a moment to roll along the cool waters. While the oversized bronze lounged the young rider made himself useful around the makeshift camp by handling some of the supplies and making sure everyone had what they needed.

Mine, you should go take a break, relax and enjoy the moment and the scenery not working yourself to the bone again. Maybe go visit someone? The last set of words where rather sarcastic in a way, or maybe just amusement for the large bronze.

Maybe… The blue eyes darted to where the hatching grounds were, maybe a little later when nerves were smoothed out.

Rune and Rhys (High Reaches)

Honestly, Rune wasn't sure why she was here. A Greenrider, Seikih, had been kind enough to bring her and Rhys to the hatching. It was warm here, and so she traced a path to help keep herself cool. The fact was that she and her twin did not separate, as they watched the eggs on the sands. It was boiling, and she was constantly rolling her sleeves up to her elbows, the robes making the fair haired child a little over-warm. Caution of the others around her boiled in her veins, eyes flicking back and forth in barely-concealed anxiety. Her teeth were clenched ever so, her spine straight, even as Rhys moved to take her arm.

The male twin was calm, smiling happily at the sight of Eggs on the sands. He was more than a little excited, a Hatching the type of event that he adored. It was a place that they could meet others, and see little ones when they were ready. It was so terribly exciting, and though he'd not had a chance to MEET the eggs, it would be well worth it. If only his sister would calm down, "Rune...Come on, at least we got out of the Weyr for a bit."
"Yeah, and in to a crowd of other people. EXACTLY what I wanted." Her sarcastic tone was biting, making the boy sigh. "Trust me. It's going to be ok."

Aelyx (Western)

Since the hatching of the last Western Clutch, Aelyx had been quiet. She had gone about her chores, but her usually bright green hair was to where only the tips were green, her black hair showing through. Mismatched eyes were watching the sands, nervous and rather unsure how to feel about being on the hatching grounds again,...even foreign ones. The bloody result of the Western clutch's hatching had left an imprint on her mind. You could prepare candidates all you wanted, but such things were...hard to reconcile. She stood behind her beloved, Huarwar, She was not here for herself, but for support, her heart tied with his. She loved him dearly and wouldn't let him suffer alone. His rage and sorrow still hit him hard, and she couldn't let him stand by himself. "...Are you sure you're alright to be here?

Huarwar(Western)

He felt a little silly when he realized that Aelyx was standing behind him, or she had made her way up to him without making much noise. It wouldn't have been that hard, it wasn't like the beach was as quiet as a grave after all. The excited chatter of candidates was all around them, though he did seem to notice there was some apprehension. It seemed there were many candidates from Western that were hoping for this hatching to go smoother then their last did.

A soft smile graced his lips as he turned to look at her. She was still so beautiful to him, though she hadn't colored her hair much since after the hatching, but he never paid that any mind, her mismatched eyes were always what pulled him in the most.

Her question and words got a bigger smile as he leaned down to lightly press his lips against hers. "I will be fine." His words sounded a bit more confident then he actually felt, though he wasn't really worried anymore. "Henwas would have thrown a fit if I just sat back at the Weyr and missed the opportunity to come to a hatching on a beach." His smile seemed to grow as he spoke of his brother, knowing full well that Henwas would have dragged him to this hatching if he was still here. When was the next time there was a chance to stand to Impress on a beach after all?

"Are you alright?" Concern filtered through his eyes as he kept them on her. She had taken what had happened just as hard, even though she had never met his twin. It didn't help that there had been quite a lot of blood spilled before a life had been taken.

Jacquol

"I guess you could say the mother got us scrambling a bit early." Her sly wink at Kiri was entirely friendly. She didn't know the other girl, but who cared! A sense of humor (and either the build or history to not be bothered by the heat right off) made her a potential friend. A deeply tanned hand, with several jingling bracelets and fingers wrapped in rings, was thrust out. "'M Jacquol. Pleasure to stand with you! Shame about the Fort kids though, huh? What bad timing. More for us though!" And she was utterly shameless about that thought. So they were maybe sort of kind of usurping the Fort candidates' chances at impressing. That was life! Take what you can ,and give nothing back. If her dragon was here, the one that'd set her on the path to being Ambrin's partner in yet another way, well. She'd gladly take the opportunity!

"they're really just, hideously colored too, huh?" There was a lightness to her tone—she was joking, at least partly. The eggs weren't ugly, but they were...something. Pastel-bright and marked bizarrely. "Does that one have...a baby wherry on it?" She squinted at the Ducky Egg across the way. It was definitely a splotch that looked like a soft, downy young bird of...some kind. And she wasn't even going to think about that egg that looked like it had a mouth.

Masterharper

Oseathiol

It took some time to figure what to do with the (fleshy, heavy, wet) sides of ovine he'd brought, but eventually 'Theo'd managed to get them handed over to...well. One or the other of the people preparing the food for potential hatchlings. Seems fitting, offering a tithe for a chance to watch. No one will mind anyway, right? His internal monologue was rambling and eager, if quite nervous. Crowds really had never been his forte, but thankfully no one really had noticed him at all. There was a reason he'd always preferred to write than to perform his works. All those eyes...no thank you. With his arms kept close to his chest (hands scribbling away in his notebook all the while, and never mind that he wasn't even looking at what he was writing) he ducked through the crowd, faint muttered "Pardon me"s and "Oh, excuse me"s leaving a trail in his wake. He had to see the eggs!

It took quite some time. Never willing to push through, or use his height to his advantage, by the time he made the front rows of the crowds ringing the edge of the beach, he was rather overwrought. Southern Boll...far too hot. I knew there was a reason I avoided the islands, so terribly humid too! The next time I pen a tale of heated romance, I'm setting it up north, no more of that trend for literal heat to fuel the passions. Rather throw myself in the sea at this point than, t-than... He bashfully shook off that mental image, and focused.

The eggs! How stunning! Glorious! And the glittering mother and father beyond, oh! What lives must they have lived? Imagine the panic, the drama of clutching alone and unprepared! What a triumph for the to-be-hatched babies! What a grand, epic start! What a— He caught himself as he wobbled slightly, the heat already making him woozy. Born and bred in the far, far north, he was not built for this heat. And so, flustered and sweltering, he was forced to retreat (for a time at least) to the tree line.

V'mel

And V'mel was also there. Being all judgmental and stoic off to the side, and similarly preparing to receive any potential new weyrlings for High Reaches. Standing in silence, he seems nonplussed by the unusual goings-on, but internally he and Aviroth (who remains coiled just behind the growing pile of food for their new impressees) are deep in conversation on how to go about getting their potential weyrling hatchlings home. Surely between isn't super safe for hatchlings freshly shelled...

[ renose - HR ]

Renose gave a curt nod to the crowd that seemingly had amassed around him and Rizdax. With a small smirk, he squeezed his friend's hand one more time before letting it go. "Well look at you, Mr. Popular. You must have something going for you other than looks and personality, to have gathered this many about. You need to tell me your secret, Radish." It was nice to see that people were generally wanting to flock together in a strange new place, and if Renose pretended enough he could think they were near him because he was the one who made them feel safe.

Still, it wasn't good to chat so much while in a land with unknown eggs. Thankfully everyone here was on equal grounds, what with no one having seen or touched these eggs before (aside from Fort, but no one liked them anyway) and so the playing field was level. Whatever or whoever came from these eggs would find new faces and no one had any better chance.

".. . . . it's really hot here. I'm sort of hating this." His comment was directed at all three around him, and Renose rubbed the back of his arm across his forehead. "Glad the Queen found a place warm enough to have her eggs and all, but I didn't think we'd need to be baked too."

[ soui - western ]

"Ah!" Soui's face lit up with delight over the sound of her twin inside her head, and she mentally did her best to try and let him know where she was. Barring that, the teen ignored healer decorum and jumped up and down from the sidelines, waving her arms to try and get Tsuyat and Yudueth's attention. "Oi! Over here!"

Normally she would have sent one of her uncle's flitters over to try and get their attention, to make sure she was found, but Pem had insisted the firelizards stay home to prevent issues while at the hatching. Soui hadn't really understood but she obeyed, not wanting to cause any issues. Her whole heart and mind was in wanting the eggs to hatch properly and the dragonets to find their lifemates without trouble.

Papys

If he noticed that Cedarian was extra annoyed with him, Papys gave no indication of it. His smile never faltered as the young man defended his stance on massive disapproval of the situation, but he nodded along. "You think so? Maybe," he didn't actually sound convinced, however.

"I actually think it feels kinda nice. So maybe it's just you." Though as much as his bright outlook on the entire situation was, his skin was already giving away it's secrets: Papys was going to sport a fantastic sunburn by the end of the day.
