The ferocity of Krahjusuth was not something he had accounted for, and Elzebuth was taken aback by the blue dragon's flashing teeth and talons against his competitors. The young brown dragon hung back for the moment, taking in the scene with a quick, assessing eye even as Fianth winged over the bowl and towards the peaks. Very well. He would follow at a distance for now, knowing this was a battle of stamina, rather than speed.

Bronze Jirkath:

Jirkath ignored the other male dragons, eyes only for Fianth, who might engage with him. The only thoughts he spared them were mental eye rolls at their stupidity.

Fianth! Don't be stupid! You know what you are meant for. But he was slow in getting off the ground with all the other dragons around him and fell in the middle of the pack chasing. This made him snappish and irritable as he was meant to be first. How dare these other dragons impede his greatness.

Irath shifted, watching Fianth, and what or who had angered her so? He spread his wings, shifting and pulled up as she shot upwards. She was angry and determined and now was not the time for clever words.

Now was simply the time to keep up. He was behind but had not drawn Krahsujunth ire and not truly fallen behind. Decent first showing.

The queen took her fill of blood and Blundarth stayed hovering in the air. He was not known for his wise decision making. It would have been smarter for him to land, conserve his energy, maybe even blood himself. Instead the bronze just bobbed in the sky, watching the blood streaked queen with dream-like infatuation. Fianth hissed, her posture and eyes changing as she looked a different bronze, causing tendrils of confusion to twist through the misty haze of his adoration. His awareness of K'tor looking through his eye was somewhat sleepy.

There's probably some bad blood in there. Best to stay away from that bronze if you can. The thought was murky. Blundarth wasn't certain when K'tor's advice finished and his own understanding started. Either way the bronze gave a slow rumble of agreement. He was here to pay his tribute to Fianth, not to get into fights. Given all the dragons here, so many from High Reaches, Blundarth doubted that this bronze would be able to get away with anything. The blue in the feeding pen was clearly a part of this too. Given his proximity to Fianth, Blundarth wondered if perhaps there was something there.

It wasn't much longer before Fianth launched herself into the air with a cry of rage. He was confused, but instead all he could do is turn his body and fly after the golden queen. Fianth's challenge range through him and only drove him to fly faster in pursuit. Blundarth was not one for words. He knew that much. Other dragons could serenade her, all Blundarth had to offer was his determination. He would chase for as long as she allowed him to. As long as she remained in the sky he would follow, so long as she willed it. Letting out another peaceful bugle, the bronze followed Fianth towards the mountains.

His position had put him in good place to follow the gold closely. So caught up was he in the chase that he almost missed the blue missile heading his way. Had the dragon come from his other side Blundarth would never have seen him. The bronze gave a cry of alarm and dropped in the air, evading the searching claws. His dodge had not been intentional. In his panic the bronze had momentarily lost the thought of keeping himself balanced. As his wings beat down the bronze pitched to the left, his heavier side pulling him down.

The bronze floundered in the air a moment, losing valuable height as he worked to balance himself. Blundarth stayed where he had fallen, fly below the pack. His one eye searched the group for the blue. Catching sight of him the bronze angled to move slightly nearer to Krahsujunth, a questioning warble coming from the dragon. Did I do something wrong?

Oboteth waited for permission to chase, but it did not come. Fianth had her focus on others, others that had dared to insult her blue partner by the appearance of things. Then she took off, faster than expected, so Oboteth flew too. He wasn't sure if he was welcome, though... so he lagged behind, his uncertainty making him hesitate.

Just fly, you sharding dragon!

N'vor's voice broke through to his thoughts fiercely. If his dragon wanted to fly, he was going to fly, dammit!

In a panic, Oboteth pumped his wings faster. Now it was a matter of his rider's pride, too!

A single moment to hold in memory would be more than enough, was Zijianth's ardent answer, instinctive lust for the gold singing through his veins. I am neither thief nor fool, to seek anything more. The bronze was not a habitual schmoozer of golds (nor of anyone else, for that matter), but the Flight called to him and made him want: a hint of warmth, a taste of sweetness...and a clutch of fine sons and daughters. For how could they be anything but fine, with one such as Fianth for their mother? Anything but strong, with Krahsujunth as an influence as well.

Oh, how he wanted, and he gathered his sleek length and shot into the sky after the gleaming gold. But the scarred blue, who had already snapped at him on the ground, was soon in his path! Zijianth made to duck around, but in the thick of the pack there was no space to do so without risking a collision, and he was whipped across the snout by his lashing tail. The bronze hissed, but made no attempt to retaliate; whatever strips Krahsujunth took from them this day were his due, and he would neither flinch nor object.

Lennoth rose into the sky after Fianth, mindful of Krah. He huffed at some of the other dragons, wings beating strong. So soon in the flight, there was no strain, and as he witnessed Krah's reaction to the other males, he knew there was not yet a lot of ichor. Resplendent Fianth, look how you shine! Who among us is most worthy of even some of your affections? Won't you consider sparing even a little for Lennoth?

As he flew, he saw Krah streaking near. While Lennoth let out a snarl, he didn't attack, even when the blue's tail cracked across his snout. He let out a snort, dropping back slightly.

Ihiannsith eyes whirled and he hummed at Fianth, she was so radiant and so angry... who had made her angry. Ooh wait, there she went and the sun glittered so lovely on her wings.

'You are going to lose her if you don't pay attention.'

Ihiannsith began to climb but had fallen behind having been more focused on how pretty Fianth looked then actually the flight.

2 - Pain lances through you as Krahsujunth's teeth sink into a softer patch of flesh. You trumpet alarm and manage to pull free, but you've fallen a bit behind in the process! -6 to total score.

3. Out of nowhere the blue swoops in, flying right into your path. For a moment you think you can duck around him, then CRACK! Like a whip his tail snaps out, striking across your snout! -3 to total score.

4. You edge a bit too near to the blue for his liking, and he snarls a warning at you. Thankfully, another rival catches his eye at just that moment, and you're spared the feel of his claws...for now.

Bronze Gareth of A'dras

The touch of Fianth's mind to his own fueled the lust Gareth felt for the pale gold. His hearts remained firmly with his beloved green, who he could tell Fianth seemed to worry for. He understood her position, somewhat at least. He yearned to father a clutch, to have hatchlings of his own like his rider did, it was why Delyth gave him her support during Gold flights. It was the only time the bronze moved from their ledge in pursuit of another.

There was no room in this bronze's heart for another, though he did offer Fianth the lust he felt, as well as the platonic love many felt for their friends. If he were to be her choice, it would delight him like no other, but he would never dream of trying to capture her hearts from Krahsujunth.

Thank you for this chance, Fianth. I will not trouble you or your beloved longer then is needed of me. I know Delyth appreciates your consideration. Not many golds were like Fianth, and he found her refreashing.

Whatever happened to make her take off like a shot, Gareth had not been ready for Fianth to suddenly take to the air as she had. It caused the bronze to climb after her a bit slower then the others, but his gaze never left her golden form in the sky. Ambition and desire drove him onward after her.
