Outer Desert
Fett would continue stomping around, only pausing to make sure his trainer was near. Aile kept up with relative ease, though running on the sand felt different to her than when she didn't have shoes. Probably for the better overall, as her feet weren't scorched, but it still felt odd. She'd finally meet right up with Fett when he stopped to look around a rock formation. "Just looking around? Or are- Oh, uh, Fett, you might want to look out." A Darumaka would roll and fall down onto the Rhydon, snorting as he looked at it.
"Rhy." He looked unamused as the little roundish money began jumping on its hind legs, seemingly trying to taunt Fett. He would look back at his trainer, almost as if asking to attack.
"Alright then. Stone Edge."
Another snort would stand as a reply, the Rhydon turning back to face the Darumaka as he slammed his hand into the ground. Stone spikes would jut up out of the ground towards the little fire monkey, quickly hitting it and sending it flying off. Or so he thought. The Darumaka managed to Endure the hit and came down on Fett with a hard Headbutt, though it would barely phase him.
"Dooon.... Rhy!" This time, he himself would charge at the monkey, Bulldozing his way over to the monkey and throwing it far off, leaving Aile to sigh.
"Well... I guess that works." Fett would turn to face Aile once more before snorting and walking forward again, his trainer following him.

Litten and Tristen continued on combing through the Oasis. If nothing else, they found an interesting rock in the middle of this lush area. He'd had to ask to see what's the story with it. Tristen had always said that he didn't care for battling as much as his adoptive father has, but he can't deny what going on some adventures with Pokemon could bring. Though, incidentally, he had to admit, some 'adventures' he could do without. Regardless, it was adventures like these that has him make discoveries like the fossil to excite him quite a bit. Despite how much Litten wanted to be fairly uncooperative at times, he was feeling quite good.
As they continued on, the duo encountered a Lillipup who was out in the middle of the path, sniffing about. Apparently it caught wind to strangers, it seemed. The tiny pup perked up and looked towards Tristen and Litten. "Oh hey, maybe he wants to battle too?" Tristen asked, figuring Litten would be good enough for another battle instead of getting blindsided like a couple of times prior. Though before the two could get ready, the Lillipup didn't stay around, bolting off faster than anything else they seen in this oasis thus far. The Lillipup ran away.
"...I...didn't even...know Lillipups were so skiddish...or can move that fast. You'd think that they'd want to fight a cat. I guess not." Tristen said, amazed at what he just saw.
"Meeerrrowr." Litten replied, a bit confused at what he saw as well.
Though this event did make the boy realize that he had to move. There might be bigger hounds than that around; and Litten shouldn't be caught up in such a mess. The two of them made their way off before they got any unwelcome company.

After leaving the Lillipup behind, the two continued on to explore the oasis. This place still continued to show a whole variety that doesn't seem to be running out as of yet. As the two continued along, they started to hear foot steps. Heavy ones. Everything they encountered so far couldn't have possibly made such steps. It was a notion that made the both of them nervous. From the brush, out came a large orange and off-white Pokemon, spikes all about it, and exuded heat like no other. It had a shell like a turtle and a rather long nose, oddly enough. Tristen didn't recall what this Pokemon was, but whatever it was, it was even bigger than even Dragonite.
Tristen quickly, yet nervously fumbled with his SNAG as the looming Pokemon took notice to the duo. Litten started to back up, ears folded back out of fear. The entry finally appeared on screen. "Turtonator...uh oh..." The massive Pokemon made a billowing wail, turning around to show its shell to Tristen. It started to glow for some unknown reason, but whatever it was, it couldn't have been good. This thing looked too strong to fight, and here they thought the worst that was around here were Numel. "RUN!" Tristen shouted, snatching up his cat and bolting out of the area, probably nearly as fast as the Lillipup earlier. The two wouldn't look back, but they heard a rather booming explosion go off right behind them. "Nononononononono!" The kid shouted, not wanting to get caught up in that Pokemon's wrath.

After some running through the oasis area, the two of them stopped. Tristen looked back, out of breath from how much he ran then went to a nearby tree and sat down to catch his breath now that he knew the coast was clear for the time being. The boy let the cat go, putting Litten right beside him and sighed out. "...I think I just found this place's super strong Pokemon like that Drampa back at the volcano. I really don't wanna fight that." Tristen said to Litten. Tristen looked down towards the cat as it stared back, rather curiously, and in a rather drastic change of pace, rather concerned. Tristen reached over and started to scratch the cat behind the ears. "I'm okay, just need a minute." Tristen said.
As he sat there, he took notice to yet another Sigilyph that apparently hovered the area, apparently heading towards where the source of the loud noise earlier. He wasn't going to stop it; he wasn't going to have Litten fight it considering its limitations right at the moment. Though, Tristen had to admit this was getting concerning. He came out to train and, he only had Litten manage to fight a sparse few Pokemon so far. There wasn't much to show for during this run thus far. Perhaps Tristen would have to take that chance eventually.
After taking one more deep breath, Tristen stood up then looked back towards Litten. "Come on. Let's try to make the most of this, okay?"

Tristen continued to make his way around the oasis, hoping to avoid another catastrophic run in with something like the Turtornator earlier. As he continued on, Tristen's hearing started to pick up on something. Something sounded rather irritated. He looked around for a moment then looked up, seeing a bird. He squinted a bit, trying to see what was coming his way. He then looked on in surprise once the Pokemon gotten closer, albeit rather quickly. It was making an attack run. "A Spearow? Hey, Litten, I think you can take that. You ready?" Tristen asked.
The Litten hopped forward, getting ready, waiting on the bird to get close. "Here it comes. Go! Ember attack!" Tristen shouted. The Litten fired its its flaming flurry towards the Spearow. The Spearow, a species not known for its manuverability, gets caught up in the attack and flutters off. It gets down lower, trying to re-align its attack run then flutters back in its attack run swooping down and started to rapidly peck away at the cat, relentlessly at that.
"A Fury Attack! Litten! Get away from there!" Tristen shouted. The cat managed to dash away, getting away from the furious pecking of the Spearow. However the Spearow wasn't done, going on the attack once more. "Litten! Use Fire Fang!" Tristen shouted. The cat, now that the bird was more towards his level, rushed and intercepted the bird, pouncing on it and bit down hard with its flaming maw and bit down hard. The bird flailed and screeched as the Litten gave it everything he had. The bird however eventually managed to shake Litten off then retaliated, pursuing the cat and rammed right into it.
The cat tumbled a bit from the strike, yelping from the attack. "Litten! Are you alright!?" He asked. The cat managed to get back on its feet and got back at the ready. "Litten! Use another Fire Fang! Tristen said. The Litten rushed back and pounced on the bird once again, giving it another dose of flaming fury as every chomp out of the Litten seared right into the bird. The Spearow screeched out, once again flailing again. The Spearow ended up unable to continue fighting and succumbed to the fiery bites of the Litten.
"There we go! Not bad, Litten. Good job." Tristen stared at the Litten for a moment. Litten was still gnawing away with its Fire Fang. "....Litten, you can stop now..." Typical cat.

After Tristen figured they were away from the sickening sweet smell, Tristen let go of the cat and made his way back around the oasis. Though something did occur to the kid just now. They've been out here for a while, and Litten had been in a few battles. Perhaps it would do some justice to avoid some fights, well, more than what they have been. Tristen had done fairly well in judging what fights to avoid altogether, like against Numel or Turtornators. If there comes a time that a Pokemon that would be worth while keeping, it'd be wise to have Litten as fresh as possible.
Tristen perked up, hearing something then turned around. A Shinx was following the two. And it didn't look friendly. "......" So much for conservation. Worse still, it wasn't going to be a fight that Tristen was going to be able to run from easily. He learned these guys, both their youngest state and their evolved forms, are relentless hunters. "Litten, we gotta fight." Tristen said. The Litten moved forward to square off against the Shinx, but something was off. It looked as if the Shinx was psyching itself up. Once again, the Dex knowledge started to flooding back to Tristen. At times, there are Shinx that tends to pick out-of-the-blue rivalries and as such, they're going to go above and beyond. "Uh-oh..."
Immediately, the Shinx rushed in rather fast and pounced on Litten, biting down hard upon Litten. The Litten screeched out, flailing out and kicked the Shinx off. That one hurt considerably. "Yea, we're in trouble. Litten! Fire Fang!" Tristen shouted. The Litten rushed in and retaliated, chomping down with its Fire Fang attack and hung on tight. The burning jaws racked up considerable damage to the Shinx, but the Shinx bucked the cat off.
The Shinx shook the pain and then retaliated, its body sparking up and started to go into a full on tackle. "Litten! Look out! That's a Spark attack!" However, the command came a bit too late, Litten taking the full brunt of the attack and getting sent hurling off. The Litten couldn't land on its feet after such a punishing blow and it skidded on the ground a bit. "Litten!" Tristen thought for sure that was it and this excursion but fortunately, the Litten was back up once more. Though, that one really hurt.
"Litten! I know you're hurt, but we gotta keep trying!" Tristen thought, trying to figure out what he could do now. This Shinx was really racking up the pain and Litten wasn't going to last too much longer. At this point, Tristen didn't have much to lose anymore. "Litten! Swagger!" He shouted. The Litten danced about, taunting his opponent, mocking it even, infuriating the Shinx, tensing up furiously and angrily rushed for Litten with another Spark attack.
"Litten! Here it comes!" It was a hard, reckless charge out of the Shinx, unguided unlike before. The cat hopped out of the way and fired an ember shot towards the Shinx, leaving the Shinx to trip and hurt itself rather badly between its anger and confusion. "Alright! Go, hurry! Fire Fang!" Tristen shouted. The Litten quickly retaliated while the getting was good, pouncing the Shinx hard and clamping down with its fiery maw once again, gnawing away and allowing every ember to seep in to cause a great deal of damage. The Shinx, though with still a fair bit of fight and fervor flailed about and managed to once again buck the cat off, though not as far as it did before.
Once the cat landed, the Shinx retaliated ramming into Litten with just a regular Tackle, which as basic as it was, between its fury and its drive to take down its opponent, was a lot more punishing than normal. The Litten managed to pick itself back up as it noticed that the Shinx wasn't going to last much longer. "Litten! Ember!" Tristen shouted. The cat then fired off its ember flurry upon the Shinx, finally bringing the beligerent Pokemon down. Litten wasn't really up for checking the Shinx, it was too wore out now.
"Come on, Litten, let's get out of here before anymore Pokemon like that come along." He said. He knew that was all well and good, but that battle perhaps came at too high of a price.

Tristen and Litten rushed off away from the scene of the battle, and went to find a place to hide out. He started to check over Litten for the time being. That fight was a lot tougher than he cared for it to be. He started to check over the cat, trying to assess the injuries. As he started to check over the Pokemon, he started to hear a familiar noise, looking up. "Oh come on!" Tristen said. "Another Spearow!? Litten, I got this..." He said, sitting the Litten down, getting up and walking over. The Spearow swooped over to Tristen and started to peck away at the kid, until the kid sparked with a surge of electricity and slapped the bird. The harsh slap combined with a nasty jolt made the bird turn tail and run off. "Yes, I can punch a bird..." Tristen said.
"Mrrow?"
"Nothing, just somethin' I read." Tristen said to the cat, walking over back to the cat and reassess the injuries.

The two at the moment sat by and tried to enjoy the peace while it was still around. And the Spearow didn't seem to want round three. That was good. "Alright, Litten, you feeling better any?" Tristen asked the cat, giving another scratch behind the ears.
"Rrrowr..." the cat replied, moving his head and trying to get the sweet spot as it were, getting the most out of the scratching.
"That's good. Come on. Let's see what else we can find, alright?" Tristen got up, dusted himself off then started on his way, followed by the cat right behind him. It didn't take long to find more trouble. Or rather, trouble find it. A Nidoran female found its way into the path of the boy and his cat. "Another Nidoran? You up for it, Litten?"
The cat moved forward to square off with the Nidoran. "Litten! Scratch attack." Tristen shouted. He didn't want to go full on right away, not after such a severe fight before. The cat charged after the Nidoran, as the Nidoran started to rush in after the cat. The two clashed, but the Scratch attack manages to hit its mark, causing some damage. The Nidoran would shake the pain off then started to rush for the Litten, retaliating with a Scratch attack of its own making the cat reel back a fair bit.
"Ugh, Litten, Ember attack!" While the Nidoran was still close, the cat unleashed a flurry of embers upon the Nidoran and pushed the Nidoran back. However the Nidoran continued to withstand the attack and started to push through the attack, taking the damage and pounces the cat, furiously swiping at the cat.
"A fury swipes!? Litten! Try to get out of it! Try using a Fire Fang!" Litten had a hard time kicking the Nidoran off of him, ultimately resorting to slapping the Nidoran off then pouncing on it in retaliation, biting down with flaming fangs, clamping down and causing great damage to the Nidoran. The Nidoran finally managed to submit to the damage and the burns caused from it.
"There we go, that went a lot better than that Shinx..." Tristen said. "Come on, Litten, let's get out of here."
